In the End, A No Coiner will be Laughing the Hardest and sweetest. 😘

You seem to be in a fantasy land, and even you likely understand and appreciate what you are saying is not true.. so that is probably part of the reason no one could take you seriously, even if once in a while you might have some point that might have coincidentally ended up being correct.
A no coiner laughing the hardest and sweetest is a no no point with zero percent coincidental chance of materializing and anyone that have taken a deep breathe with a cup of coffee in hand critically meditated about this evolution (not revolution) that is gradually sinking into the nukes and crannies of the different parts of the world with every society there exists a coin hodler and with each passing day new institutional and individual adopters are emerging. So the irony of laughing the hardest and sweetest would be that of the coiners because at the end they would be in the position to have something profitable to smile about.
1042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: November 05, 2023, 01:53:24 PM
But if I can buy once a month with a pending order at the lows, and once a month sell at the highs (rarely too) - am I a holder or a trader?
@summonerrk, you are a trader and NOT a Hodler. This is because selling your bitcoin due to little price increase is a way to distract yourself from a long term goal, and it will be hard for you to reach your bitcoin target, if you have. You will also not be able to make a better profit got yourself at the long run and when you make the wrong decision about the market, it can lead to loss and you will regret it. Why I said so is because nobody can know the price movement of bitcoin accurately, and you can not always buy at the low and sell at the high, if it is always possible every bitcoiner will become a trader.
@Ruttoshi you're correct that he's not a hodler but a trader in as much as he buys and sell each month with every dip and high that roll in. A hodler is said to be that investor with a medium or long term investment plan with his portfolio.

But at same time, he @summonerrk can be a trader and a hodler if that's what he intend on doing. And this he can do by having a separate self custody wallets, one for buying and selling each month as you're already doing at every dip and high that take place, while the second wallet should be meant for hodling by DCAing.

It should be noted that to be able to do this and maintain it, you have to consider how much you earn as income (salary) as it greatly depends on it because if the uncertainty of the market due to bitcoin volatility which we can't be accurate with our predictions.

Quote
I been contacted on Telegram someone told to pay signals 300$ ....he showed to his binance profits futures signals.
Im sceptical so i ask here other what should i do ?
Figuratively speaking, what I think you should do is to run away as fast as your legs can carry. Delink any channel of communication with that person it's a scam you should be aware of
Quote

To buy signals ? And what's the signals price then ? Will i earn 3000% monthly really with payed signals ?? Indont belive is that Easy to make money ?  Sorry i don't want to sound dumb but i really don't know and i don't want to lose for no reason just
Tnx
Many people on socials just want to take advantage of the ignorance of others, and from all you have explained it's shows how ignorant you are. Dedicate your time to learn, study and be a good trader yourself, you just arrived to the crypto environment why not  learn to acquire the trading skills you lack rather than depending on signals from random people on social media who you might be better than.

1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed or risk on: November 04, 2023, 09:27:47 PM
If am the one that owns this bet slip I will cash out, my reason for cashing out is the risk involved, this bet has a high risk, staking a bet with 1m with a potential winning of 2.730m is very risky and I won't go for this, despite that sometimes it works exactly this way, this is a no for me unless I won't put the loss into consideration which is not even possible, no matter how rich you are, when you lose money you will feel it, minimizing your risk and maximizing your profit in gambling will help to avoid much loss in gambling, remember prediction is not a sure thing, it is just what you instinct feel at that time but mind you, your instinct doesn't say the exact thing most time, so don't be a greedy gambler.

The greedy was the mistake made by the gamblers in the gambling, becasue once the gambler had won 250 dollars from the 100 dollars as the initial.Almost all the gambler will get greedy now, because they try to multiple the money to 1000 dollars from the 100 as the initial betting. So they get loss the full money by the algorithm of the gambling site.Once you get the chance of winning, you should use it wisely and cash out the money with the profit. So this was the professional gambler move, they are safe with the profit by withdraw the funds, but holding the fund and losing your luck will made the gambler end with zero dollars.
Not everything as such should be tied to greed, in my perspective from what at looking at this gambler decided to take a risk , a risk that not everyone will want to take therefore it doesn't mean it's greed. He didn't placed his bet with an initial intention to cash out in the middle of the game for an amount below the total he had hope for to win.

Life in general it's about risk, we should not perpetually get satisfied and accept every little thing we are handed out when we have an option to take a risk and probably have it in full. Just like what we saw about the result of this game it eventually played to the favour of the gambler.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler avoiding friends after a big win. on: November 04, 2023, 02:58:39 PM
At one of the local gambling shop I visited during the weekend I happened to listen to a conversation between two bald looking gamblers at the shop talking about one of their gambling colleague who had won a big amount of money amounting to a million in the local currency and due to that win this colleague of theirs' has been avoiding them since e won that money. From their conversation it was obvious that they were a circle of close three friends that gamble together.

After all I finished with my bet headed home and was asking myself what could the colleague act that way avoiding his close friends they all gambling together and just because luck shines on him first he decides to create a distance and class. I couldn't actually annex a good reason why anyone should do that.

Truth be told, not only in gambling even in other aspects of life if people becomes rich, dey run from there colique reason being that if you are reach every body will start bringing up there problem to you.  Naturally human has that mentality of  complaining anytime they see a rich person. That's why you see rich people always do that.
Rich people always want to discus matters with people of there class, because those that don't belong to there class has nothing to add to there life rather than cooking up story that will always make you to spend more.
A very straight point you have made as to why the rich commune with the rich, for they are not a parasite to the other as they do discuss about business and investments on how to grow each other which is something you hardly find around the poor, they are at every moment with one demand after another.
What they forget is that the rich man is a human like them that has personal problems too to solve but because he's rich they every poor persons around him is consumed with the thinking that his money will solve his problems for him but there are issues in life that doesn't need money for solution but acquittance.

Naah naah bros you sure you're living in this same country Naija with us for you to say cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper. Please for the sake of knowledge enlighten me on how or what makes you feel cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper in this current Nigeria. And I'll appreciate you kindly do that with a data statistic that backs your claims.

To add to wetin Charles dun talk, make you no say before the whole subsidy removal alot of things were been subsidize in the country wey no be only the fuel, even dollars at a point was subsidize so we been dey enjoy for this country. With as low as anything wey you dey earn you fit live comfortable for your own house, get your own water, provide electricity for yourselves. Brother away eh you no fit do any of those things, you go pay tire. The rent matter na true too (monthly rent and other services and dem fit disconnect you without you saying anything, no be here you fit beg NEPA). You can live in Nigeria happily without workings, but you can't try that away because you have alot of bills to pay, no joke oh.

1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about trading feature? on: November 03, 2023, 07:51:51 AM
Gambling sites like Bc.game and Rollbit now include trading feature in their casinos. In this game we need to predict small fluctuations in price over a short period of time.
This is became my favorite game. What do you think of this game?
Do you think this game gives us some advantage/edge to casino? Because most of the time, prices tend to Follow a repeating pattern like Up-Down Up-Down in a range.
What I want to know is that since it's a trading features price prediction game does the house has a hedge in this game over the gambler just as it's found in other casino games where the game providers made sure the house has the hedge or it's operated normally as with trading on any exchange.

I am asking because I have no clue about it as it's my first time if Knowing that there's a trading features in casinos that gamblers can make use of in place of actual trading.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Health Benefits of Gambling on: November 03, 2023, 07:18:28 AM
The guy, who wrote this article forgot to mention the 4th big benefit of gambling. It makes you lose weight. Grin
Why does it make you lose weight? Because you spend money on gambling instead of buying food. Grin You eat less and you lose weight.
The added benefit is smoking less cigars and drinking less alcohol, because you have less money for tobacco and alcohol.
Jokes aside, I can't take the statement about gambling relieving stress seriously.
If I lose 10K USD via gambling, I definitely won't relieve any stress. My stress levels will actually go through the roof. Grin
Losing weight indeed! Grin of course you will lose weight after losing a $100k to gambling after you must have sat down all day  thinking about it, you won't only lose weight but lose health too Grin

No man takes joy in losing money, they might try so hard to pretend and fake a smile in public but in their closet they get lost in thought, filled with a feeling of regret, pains and stress all of these usually when we don't gamble responsibly by making use of money we can afford to let go of lost.

I have heard a real event about a gambler that lost huge money to gambling and ended up walking home barefooted with his shoes in his hands... Reading the op and remembering that event, am wondering the brand of health benefits that man went home with on that day.
1049  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Best way to invest in Bitcoin on: November 03, 2023, 05:59:33 AM
So many options to buy Bitcoin, you can decide to buy directly through exchange like binance or Coinbase. You can also make use of the Bitcoin focused investment vehicle like a Bitcoin ETF or like Grayscale Bitcoin trust.
One thing you must know when taking a decision to invest in Bitcoin .It's highly speculative investment.  That's why it's more advice able to invest the amount you are comfortable losing.as Bitcoin price go up and down this season by hundred of dollars.
Investing in bitcoin does not mean you are risking your funds but you are not and the only thing you have to do is a patient for years so you have to use money for the investment that you are not ready to use them very soon.
When investing in bitcoin you are risking your funds, ultimately when you're investing into anything be it bitcoin, stock, bonds, real estate, gold etc you are taking a risk as it is not 100% certain you are definitely going to make profit from it. An uncertainty can emerge out of the blue which can vaporize your investment to zero. The only dissimilarity in all is that every investment has its own level of risk and which for bitcoin the risk isn't that high but that doesn't mean it's doesn't possess a risk.
1050  Economy / Economics / Re: Are You Sticking to Your Plan or Has Life Made You Pause or Modify It? on: November 03, 2023, 05:37:22 AM
When we make our plans in life, circumstances in life do also have its own unforeseen plans for us that's why life in general is unpredictable going by how we can't certainly say what could be our fate the next minutes. That's why in all our planning be it bitcoin investment or any other business investment there must be a contingency plan on ground to alleviate storming weather that may arise against your plans from going smoothly.

A good businessman knows not to be too rigid but flexible with investment planning so that when situations hit against the already laid down plan we can always adjust, modify and move on without fail. The dynamism of business challenges can come in form of natural disasters, wars/conflicts, death, or from our own mistakes etc.

The bottom line is:
• Never expect your plans to go as planned, be flexible in your planning.
• Make for an emergency fund even when you feel you're on the right track.
• Never mistake a need (necessity) to a want in your business plans. The two are totally not same.
• No man is a library of all knowledge, learning to seek for business advise when you meet challenges that threatens your investment and also evaluate all advises given before digesting it.

Just a simple personal experience and not a business expertise advise.
1051  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for November on: November 02, 2023, 06:22:13 PM
Following the price history of Bitcoin for the past November price in the past years, it's likely that the price of Bitcoin this month is going to drop. From history, the bitcoin price usually increases in November if it's in the halving year. Just as 2024 is the next Bitcoin halving, the price of Bitcoin will definitely surge high by this time next year. IMO, we are not yet in the bull market, although the price might increase more than $35k but will still drop. There was some speculation that Bitcoin would already reach $100k+ before the end of the year, but I doubt it would be archivable.
From all indications we are not going to see bitcoin price hit 100k by the end of this year it's not something we would debate about anymore. It's a MOONvember month which is a critical month for bitcoin price this year critical in the sense whatever news or event that takes  place this month will determine the price of bitcoin by ending of this year December.

I can still reminiscence in the month of August speculating out of high optimism that  the price of bitcoin will get to $65k at the end of the year but I think I'll be withdrawing that figure from what am seeing the price action doesn't appear to surge to $65k anymore so therefore the feasible price we should be looking out for if am to be realistic is between 40k-45k at most.
1052  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The application of DIP and hodl in our local business. on: November 02, 2023, 10:38:17 AM
Op the idea you isn't a bad one only that there are traders that are before now using this business strategy to gain profit, in fact there are people that specialized in this form of business buying at a lower price when the demand is low, hoarding it waiting for the period when the demand is high and the product are scarce to start selling in exorbitant prices, and one of such commodities I know of is the palm oil op mentioned.

But on my own thought I want to narrow this op idea to the festive season (Christmas) we are about to enter weeks from now, at that period from 2nd week of December we usually experience high prices of goods and services the increment are almost x2. Hence, if anyone right now has the money available they can start preparing ahead of that time buy now that the prices are still minimal in the increment.

You can buy and stock ahead commodities like palm/groundnut oil, packets of maggi, spices, and a bag of rice now around 48k so imagine how much it will be sold by Christmas period. Moreso you can meet poultry farming owners around your area and pay for a live chicken now ahead of the Christmas period and by Christmas you can go get your live chicken with a very significant difference in with the December price and that of this period. All of these are part of the strategy of buying the dip in our everyday life plan it not only patterns to bitcoin alone.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin help global refugees and migrants to relocate to new countries? on: November 02, 2023, 09:36:34 AM
It's true that the traditional banking system for close their doors to their customers in times of conflicts or war and rationally I won't blame them for that they do so for their own safety and that of their workers who are humans too. But while they keep their doors close internet banking services open for use by customers. A wise customer will quickly take the favoured position by buying bitcoin through any reputed exchange platform, supposing they don't have an existing account they can immediately open one and run the transfer through p2p and send the coin to their selfcustody wallet as simple as that before things escalate to the extend internet services are shutdown.

In the event they leave their war zone and settled in other country as refugees they can at any time find a physical buyer that will be interested to buy their bitcoin and give physical cash at hand since almost everyone now has crypto awareness. In times of war the faster you make smart and strategic decisions concerning your finance the safer ground you find yourself having access to your money at ease while your counterparts are lockout.
1054  Economy / Speculation / Re: back in 2015 we had a nice pre 1/2 ing streak. on: November 02, 2023, 06:08:53 AM
2015 Sept up 2.82%
2015 Oct.  up 31.92%
2015 Nov  up  21.44%
2015 Dec  up  13.75%

here we are 8 years later

2023 Sept 3.95%
2023 Oct 28.51%
2023 Nov ?
2023 Dec ?
8 years is not 8 days so it's hard been that we can't really be sure about similar figures resurfacing in the remaining two months of Nov and Dec of this year. However, what pumps my heart with optimism and that of other bitcoiners about the bitcoin price either retaining similar figures or going above the 2015 % within these two months is the proposed approval of the  bitcoin spot ETF by 2024  that have been of positive influence to BTC price with both new individual and institutional investors investing their way into the market, it's therefore my expectation that bitcoin price would exceed those percentage by the end of this two months.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beginner needs your advices in gambling. on: November 02, 2023, 05:30:14 AM
I’m a new member here, and I want to gamble on online casinos. I found some good trusted casinos. And I want to begin with a game with a low budget. First, I need your suggestions about the best games, slots. Live casino for a beginner.
Do you think Me starting gambling would effect me in my real life or make me addicted to gambling. What’s you suggestion and advices.
Gambling can be a means of entertainment and at same time can be addictive if not consciously checked by the gambler and what is instrumental to addiction in gambling is gambler depending on gambling as a source to make money to solve his problems stead of having another stable income source like a business or job.

As a new member in the forum who has spent more than a week already am sure you must have stumbled in the different reputable casinos found in the forum including free Bitcoin casino make out time to read their ToS and take advantage of their service like the dice game that doesn't need a player to be professional at it before understanding to play it and a lot of other games.

Also I would advise you plan your bankroll in a pocket friendly amount and always gamble with money that you can afford to lose. Gambling is about entertainment and not mainly money making source, if you want to make money from gambling open your own casino or sportbetting site it's as easily as that.

Very nice to have you guys in the bitcointalk community, I can see the warm reception giving to you guys by other members of the forum and so far all comments has been a commendable one either  about your sites domain, theme outlook etc, and it's cool to see that the DestinyX.com are a casino and sports betting site combined for it's an advantage here for you guys, and as the name implies "destiny" if you guys can be able to  pull a good campaign review and a long signature promotion your  future in the forum would be profitable to your company as a lot of members are yet to know about your casino.

What I want to ask is about the use of VPN, it's seems you guys have a particular recommended VPN for users from restricted locations does it mean that peradventure any issues arises that affects the user's account through the use of the VPN you guys are sure to wage in and not distant yourself from it as not been liable to the issue thereby blaming it on the user's use of VPN as other gambling sites are known to have acted.
1057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this how it start? (No or yes?) on: November 01, 2023, 01:57:37 PM
Have you been in such situations before? I foremost, asked this question because I haven't done this before. Today I was just doing nothing but sitting down in the sitting room watching TV, but I wasn't comfortable. Then I fund my betting account (hoping to have fun) with $10 but, unfortunately for me, I lost the whole money without winning just a dime. It was not the first time for me to lose money on gambling (but I am not a regular gambler), then I fund another $10, so finally, finally, I still lost the other money I deposited, and I was like asking myself how? When did I even fund another money in this account? why I am surprised is because I haven't funded into my betting account twise in a day after losing done money, so am I becoming an addict? No.
I won't say you're actually becoming or turning to an addict but looking at the mood you were before deciding to fund your bet account to gamble the mood was a dull one and you must have been thrilled by the outcome of your bet from your first funding which might have brighten your countenance, and with the euphoria you lost count and refund again.

In as much as you didn't fund above your normal $10 amount you don't have a course to worry about addiction, a number of us has had the feeling too and we understand your worry quite well.

United States is generating the highest bitcoin mining hashrates and miners there are make some money. Electricity cost in Nigeria is cheaper. Cost of living in Nigeria is cheaper. With constant electricity, mining bitcoin will likely give better return in Nigeria.
For electricity I'll agree it's Abit cheaper but if we're to calculate by the hours we are supplied electricity per day I won't completely agree that it's that cheap except for now the cost of fueling a generator set for a day now makes the big difference.

Quote
If bitcoin mining reward halved, likely the price of bitcoin will increase in a way that miners will still make some profits.
Miners would make profit for sure here in Nigeria should the government completely allow bitcoin operations to exist in the country while they regulate and receives taxes from it. Despite the non uninterrupted power supply problem in the country there are places where they still enjoy uninterrupted power like in Rivers State places such as Bonny Iceland and Omoku are known for their steady power supply due to the presence of oil rig companies situates in these locations.
1059  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Putin's Alleged death boost the world's economy? on: November 01, 2023, 12:25:06 PM
But if he is really dead and we do get a new leader things could shift bigly.
The question is what is the US (the White House) saying or have said about this news, has there been any press briefing regarding this since the weekend confirming it based on forensic information that they would have gathered by now. If no, then I refute such news concerning the death of Putin to be untrue.

Putin is a man that has been a torn on the flesh of Western bloc and parts of Europe in that case everyone of his subject loyal to him must have his ideology and belief system and a successor can not come from a different line which means his death either now or tomorrow would change little or nothing about the current situation of the war and how it's affecting the world economy. Worst if a more radicalist Putist should succeed  his position it would be another story altogether and not what we're discussing here.  In otherwords, the war is an ideological war so the death of Putin at anytime can't be an end to the war, it's something we all must understand.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the last 5 years compare to now on: November 01, 2023, 08:52:47 AM
Do you think this will continue in the coming years?
Yes, it will continue in the coming years, that's Bitcoin for you. There are still a lot of opportunities for the participants be they individual or corporate, once they invest their money, they get to make their income in multiples.

Come to think of it, let's say that a company with a huge amount invests $1B in Bitcoin. And in just a year after, if Bitcoin grew just 4 times the amount of its price at that time (which will be easily possible), the company would have made $1B. This is as easy as that, as though they did nothing but earn more.

How many investments and business contracts could do that?
That is the problem and fears many individuals and corporate bodies are having patterning to bitcoin on how you just invest your money a something that's not controlled by any centralized authority and it yields profits for you within a medium or long time. But it's just a simple application to note that they don't understand the bitcoin blockchain network and worst still they haven't taken time to research about the whole technology for themselves.

Over the centuries people have gotten accustomed to sweating their balls in a contract investment or of any kind of investment before making profits from it and since bitcoin investment doesn't work that way where an investor (hodler) gets to take up certain tasks and hassles before profit can be made they seem to be baffled and overwhelmed by the results bitcoin is yielding in profit to investors. However, this is the 21C and live has got to make a meaning in an entirely different perspective and we've to follow the wave never to be static.
