every 2 minutes, someone is injured by a drunk or drunk driver. ( government statistics). We need stricter alcohol laws. Stupid people carry guns, and stupid people drink too much. Guns are not bad unless they get in the hands of one of these stupid people
although i believe that if a person wants to own a firearm, they should be allowed to, people should be required to go through much more than a course or a background check before being allowed to purchase a firearm. however, i dont think this comparison with alcohol is really valid here; alcohol is more or less accepted in today's society, and i dont expect much debate to come out of the topic, whereas guns are an incredibly controversial topic, even more so now with the shootings.
1043  Other / Politics & Society / Bernie Sanders to oppose Obama’s nominee to lead the FDA on: October 09, 2015, 10:01:48 AM
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/10/08/bernie-sanders-to-oppose-obamas-nominee-to-lead-the-fda/

"Sanders, who is mounting a surprisingly strong bid for the Democratic presidential nomination against Hillary Rodham Clinton, told The Washington Post that he spoke last week with Califf and came away unconvinced that he is the right person for the job of commissioner.

“At a time when millions of Americans cannot afford to purchase the prescription drugs they need, we need a new leader at the FDA who is prepared to stand up to the pharmaceutical companies and work to substantially lower drug prices,” Sanders said in a statement. “Unfortunately, I have come to the conclusion that Dr. Califf is not that person.”"

great move coming from bernie, the pharmaceutical industry in this country needs to be controlled  beyond what the current commissioner is doing, especially since people are finally waking up with the recent events.
1044  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Rented Mining/Cloud Mining Worth It? on: October 09, 2015, 06:09:01 AM
everyone's already made their points on cloud mining, so ill go ahead and make my points on renting hashing power: its not worth it either. there is no reason for an individual who owns a miner to give you their equipment's hashrate when they could be making more with that equipment by mining, or in other words, they are making a profit off of anyone who rents out their equipment.
1045  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Eutanasia? on: October 08, 2015, 09:48:15 PM
i'm fine with euthanasia because if someone really wants to take their life due to insufferable pain then it should be okay for them to do it

you're going to die and you are in pain

you don't want to suffer
the issue is,  theres no foolproof way of telling if that pain is temporary or not; people can feel depressed at times, and have strongly negative emotions, but they wouldnt be diagnosed with clinical depression for that. this is more so an ethical debate than anything else. i too think that if someone wants to die and has justifiable reasons, receiving aid in ending their life should be a right to them. however, theres no telling if that pain will never go away, and if indeed it would have, a human life could have been saved.

this was years ago, but still very, very relevant:
https://www.reddit.com/r/todayilearned/comments/19pwb0/til_if_you_have_no_debts_and_10_in_your_pocket/

the fact that  25% of americans were worth less than 10 dollars at one point in time was bad enough, but i dont really expect the situation to have drastically improved since then.

1048  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you agree people barrow money for gambling? on: October 08, 2015, 08:36:44 AM
for pure gambling games like casino games I'm totally against borrowing money from others to play these games
but sometimes good poker players take huge shots ( which is a mistake ) and bust their bankrolls , in this case borrowing money to play poker isn't a big deal , that's why communities found in poker and every player is trying his best to have a nice reputation
no, borrowing money for any kind of gambling game, imo, is a stupid and terrible idea no matter what. if one is borrowing money to gamble, its pretty safe to assume that person in question either has no money of their own or is already in debt. why would you incur more debt to play a game of chance? its a completely irresponsible thing to do, and it lands people at the bottom real fast.

Another Q : Is it possible that member from DT create his alt to give his feedback into his alt .... ?
Yes it is possible but they will most likely not do it, as it will raise suspicions on their main acc. , and probably cause them to be removed from DT(as in case of QS).
this was more or less what i meant when i said no. they arent stupid and wont pull stupid stunts like these as getting caught would get their 'main' accounts tagged/removed from dt.

Nope, still wrong. BadBear removed me because I lied about being banned. It has nothing to do with escrowing my own deal. Tomatocage removed me from his trust list because of the huge amount of pressure he received from others to remove me.

----something a bit unrelated------
Uhuh, although I was under the impression that you got removed from DT automatically because you got a negative trust from Level 1 depth, which is why you got removed from DT.
trust ratings have nothing to being on DT, one is 'placed' in DT depth 2 by being on the trust list of someone in depth 1.

In order to get removed from DT, you need to be negated by at least one additional person more then the number of people whose trust list you are on, so I would have needed to be negated by at least 3 people.
i didnt know that until now, neat.
1050  Other / Politics & Society / Re: MORE THAN A DOZEN REPORTEDLY KILLED IN SHOOTING AT OREGON COMMUNITY COLLEGE on: October 08, 2015, 02:25:49 AM
What is wrong with people that can't live with others who think differently? Sad. At least we have the right to carry protection against these nuts.

Unless you are a security guard, with no gun, on that campus.

That is why these people choose a campus. It is a safe zone for active shooters. The victums in this case followed the mindless training they received. That is they shut the classroom door and pretended everything will be ok. In the end it takes guns to stop an active shooter and anything less is self delusion.

You know in fact that at least one student was armed?

John Parker, a 36-year-old military veteran, was on campus during the tragic and terrifying Oregon mass shooting at Umpqua Community College Thursday, and he was carrying a concealed handgun. But in interviews after the incident, he explained why he did not attempt to intervene and take down the killer himself.
http://www.inquisitr.com/2465730/oregon-shooting-john-parker-armed-vet-on-ucc-campus-says-shooting-killer-would-have-been-bad-idea/#MSsKO5jL92azrurR.99

Anyways, I will recognize that the security personnel should be trained in firearm use and should have access to one should such an emergency go down. I do think that it's not exactly necessary for campus security to be armed 24/7, but that's debatable.
No. I did not know that. Although he could not really respond legally anyway. He said he was "quite a distance away from the building the shooter was in". Your CC licenses does not give you the right to respond to a crime, only protect yourself and others from a threat "in your immediate presence".
Moving to the threat and shooting could be called murder.

adding onto that, for CC license holders, using their firearm should be a last resort to protect yourself and others. having a firearm does not make or obligate one to be a hero and run into a building guns blazing; people really seem to forget this fact.

in addition, there is also this:
"Parker also noted that the SWAT team on the scene could have easily mistaken him, or anyone else with a drawn weapon, for a shooter — a mistake which likely would have resulted in police shooting him.
“If we had our guns ready to shoot they could think we were the bad guys,” Parker said in the interview."

this guy did the smart thing; even if he did manage to charge in there without having the SWAT mistake him  for the shooter, he likely could have made the situation worse by intervening.

High School Student Says He Raped And Murdered His Math Teacher Because She Used A Trigger Word

[im g]https://i.imgur.com/cPJrGiN.jpg[/img]

Jury selection begins Wednesday in the murder trial of a teenager accused of raping and killing his Danvers High School teacher two years ago.

Philip Chism was 14 when he was arrested and charged with the killing of his math teacher, Colleen Ritzer.

Prosecutors say Chism, who is now 16, killed Ritzer on Oct. 22, 2013, after she asked him to stay after class. They allege Chism stabbed her 16 times in the neck, put her in a recycling bin and dragged it into the woods near the school.

Several hours later, Chism was seen walking along a road in Topsfield, carrying credit cards in Ritzer’s name, women’s underwear and a box cutter with what appeared to be blood on it.

Chism has pleaded not guilty to charges of murder and rape.

He later allegedly told investigators he used a karate chop to subdue her, after Ritzer used a “trigger word” that angered him. He described how he cut her neck with the box cutter.

i find it terrible that this can be related to the SJW keyboard warriors of today in the sense that these people overreact to everything: with these people, they will go complete scorched earth on anyone they disagree with, its not enough to disagree with someone and not talk to them anymore apparently. i think their mentality goes something along the lines of: "oh you said something that if blown up to gargantuan proportions, it might be perceived as misogynistic or slightly offensive to someone by some psychotic patient? well now you need to be wiped off the face of the fucking earth."

this video is a summary of one such case; this man didnt even harass the two feminists in question, but these radical feminists felt the need to send a man to jail for disagreeing with them.

As I said many times: killing free speech is their ultimate goal.

not only do they want to kill free speech (its clear that free speech is starting to only go 1 way), they want to lead the world into a crazy society where everybody has to have the same thoughts and all be on the same page on any and all social topics, and anyone that says or does anything against that will face drastic consequences (negative ones). its ludicrous that people with this kind of mindset were allowed to speak at the UN honestly.

Yes completely.because she is a politician.and politicians do their jobs by lying.and hillary is one of the most famous poltician.so you can believe in her that she does her job well and tell lies everyday.
cant tell if this is sarcastic or not anymore.

in other news, hillary's popularity seems to be declining: http://www.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/capitol-alert/article38007336.html
looks like people cant ignore the whole email scandal anymore, people need to wake up and start giving a shit; these kinds of people are the ones expected to lead a country ffs.
1055  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Who Owns Photos and Videos Posted on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter? on: October 07, 2015, 11:02:18 PM
But what happens when you decide to post that picture on the Internet — perhaps on Facebook or Twitter (using Twitpic), or some other social network or photo-sharing site?
imo, at that point that picture has already become public domain; you are uploading that picture with the intent that it will be visible to anyone who happens to come across it, weather ie=t be on facebook or imgur. to think you have some sort of claim to a picture after you make it freely available and accessible to the entire internet is ridiculous in my opinion.

I can agree to this, but then it gets complicated when a picture is stolen or posted without consent publicly; meaning without being able to have some-sort of claim on the social media photos, how could we ever prevent the previous?
but once that picture is posted, there is nothing stopping people from copying that image and doing whatever they want with it. theres nothing stopping them. the only instance i think where one claim their images were "stolen" would be in the case of say, a professional photographer having their memory card (or whatever medium) stolen prior to that media being posted anywhere online. its rather tricky, dealing with things such as intellectual property and data. however, in the case of simple social media or instagram pictures uploaded by the average user, I think those images are public domain regardless. they did not have intent to make a claim to that picture, and only had intent to share that image with others by uploading them.

This is normal for the forum. I have been through it too.

you don't break a single rule and some dicklicker still leaves you bad trust.

#typical
the DT members dont tag you for breaking the rules, they tag you if they feel you are a scammer or youre suspicious in general. in your case, you were attempting to buy positive trust from DT members which is pretty darn shady.

it's quicker than ass kissing like you do
please do feel free to point out where im kissing ass. also, its not quicker if it doesnt work in the first place.

about every thread you pretend to show concern

how about this  stop kissing ass and just eat a dick
please do feel free to post any example where i ask dt members for trust. you wont find any because i dont. you seem quite mad that people tagged you negative for being shady, which is what theyre supposed to do.
