I recently paid for some local tacos using Bitcoin. My friend who was unfamilar with Bitcoin thought it was strange, like I technically didn't pay for them or something. We got into discussing Bitcoin and one of the questions he asked me was:
"Why would you want Bitcoins instead of cash?". For a second I didn't know what to say; then I thought about it and here is what I came up with. Feel free to contribute to this.
1) More security (especially if you are careful).
2) Bitcoins are a potential investment, cash is not. Paper currency only really goes down in value, Bitcoins have a lot of potential to be worth more as time goes on.
3) Fast, worldwide transactions at your fingertips.
4) Similar to #3, but it's a universal currency. It's legal in most countries of the world and you don't need any kind of currency conversion to send money to people in a different country than your own.
i think the reason why bitcoin is better than cash is that considering nowadays having a cash with you doesn't guarantee security. unlike bitcoin it is a secure currency and investment. its transaction is also pretty fast and reliable. Very well, besides that I would like to add: 5. Btc is guaranteed by the people instead of money secured by government and central banks, which is more than gold. 6. Economy will reduce " inflation" because Btc are not dependent on the individual, organization or government as money, can not print at will; It is limited and very difficult to "dig". 7. That was a mistake imo. Btc will be $500k - Why can you think Bitcoin about $ 500? Now after falling back to $ 2,600 it has rebounded pretty fast at $ 3,500. Where do you keep the private keys then? Do you pull out deposing addresses for users from file? What is the file get replaced on the server then? No websites is 100% secure if it is connected to the Internet. When user deposits the digital currency, exchanges are providing a deposit address and controls the private key. But if the website is hacked, the hacker can change the source code and replace the deposit address. Deposit address file contains all the deposit addresses. When user requests depositing, one unused address is provided. Users can verify if this address is in the deposit address file. The MD5 hash of the deposit address file is published on our website. Users can download the deposit address file and calculate the MD5 hash to verify the integrity. A custom software monitors the web page which publishes the MD5 hash. If this hash is changed, the website will be shut down for safety. No private keys of deposit addresses are on the server, and hence digital currency won't be lost. So these addresses can be considered as cold wallets. Private keys are stored offline. We do not have hot wallet at all. The deposit and withdraw information are pulled from websites and processed offline. The goal here is to make digital currency safe. We add these new features, so deposits are guaranteed to be safe, and no digital currency will be lost even if our online servers are hacked. - Your idea is great and looks pretty safe. You separate the home page and the client account. Although the home page is hacked, the hacker can not access the client account and steal it. It is important for you now to build a community. Literally every day for the last two weeks since China/Asia started FUD'ing cryptos (again) we've seen the same shit. We north Americans pump it up during the day and they dump when they wake up and we're going to bed. It keeps happening. They release FUD news, everyone dumps, market calms for a few hours, north Americans drive the prices back up by buying at "cheap discount prices" then they wake up and sell. There's a bunch of dummies here who keep losing and they keep raking it in. Does no one else see this? They're constantly selling after we're buying.
When you sleep (North America) is when China sell Bitcoin and that makes the Bitcoin dump strong, after efforts to push btc prices up by everyone. It seems that China knows the FUD information before and plays us all ( not only in North America alone). I guess they want to try to make the btc value as low as possible so they can buy cheap btc. That's bad! Hold your position. China can not manipulate the entire world market. |
