1041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it good time to buy Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2017, 10:57:23 PM
Given the fall in bitcoin in the past 24-32hrs, is it a good time to buy bitcoin?

Best time to buy Bitcoin is when you start doubt if it is good choice at all.  When you will have zero doubt, then price is fro sure high.  When you doubt, that BTC will get overtaken by some alt or when you doubt that some government will crash Bitcoin, then is perfect time for you to buy. Sad thing is that is psychologically hardest time to buy.
It does not have to be that way, that is why it is important to have a very clear strategy of what are we doing with bitcoin if we do not have a clear idea of that then we may have those doubts but if you apply your strategy without doubting then you are going to become successful in the future because you are buying when the price is cheap.
1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: "Onion" - THE BABY GIANT! 10000%+ coin for 2018 on: November 27, 2017, 10:53:46 PM
Usually when i hear TOR, It registers as something that wont go mainstream, But there really is alot of good tech behind this project.
You are right but that does not mean there is not money to be made, just look at Dash and monero, two anonymous coins that are in the top 10 in market cap so while the amount of people that could potentially use deeponion is small if the project is solid there is chance the project succeeds.

The thing with ONION is you don't need any technical knowledge at all, you just install the wallet and all the TOR stuff happens behind the scenes.
That seems like a good thing but the issue is that some members of the forum seem to have deep onion in a bad light and those are respected members of the community so I suppose that is slowing down adoption somehow, personally I do not like to invest in anonymity coins but that is just my preference.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum grow like bitcoin ? on: November 27, 2017, 10:50:35 PM
I think many altcoins in top 100 marketcap will go up.. Smiley and Ethereum can make X2 before the spring)
Most of the Altcoins in top 100 will go down in price and will not be on the first 100 this time next year, I believe 2018 will be the time to separate boys from men. So many projects will fade out of the space
Maybe this is worded wrongly, the coins that are in the top 10 are not going to change much and the same is true for coins in the top 20 but for coins outside of that top 20 but that are in the top 100, difficult times are ahead since bitcoin seems to be growing stronger every day and a strong bitcoin is bad for altcoins.
1044  Economy / Economics / Re: Generating Passive Income on: November 27, 2017, 10:44:45 PM
You can also deal with bitcoin mining or other cryptocurrencies, but for mining you will certainly have to spend a lot of money.  And besides bitcoin you also need monitoring stable cryptocurrencies such as etherium, litecoin, ripple, monero or other cryptocurrencies, at the moment, of course, there is nothing better than bitcoin.

Mining is not worth for try at the moment , IMO
I'm usually earn passive income from my speech on local forum since I've been trust as a speaker for bitcoin so yeah.. there is a lot way to earn bitcoin without spending too much expense
Mining is always worth a try but only if you are able to meet three requisites, first you need to have a significant amount of money so you can buy the latest miners, second you need to have access to cheap electricity in your country, and finally you need to join a mining pool.
Yeah, there are many ways to earn money through bitcoin without spending your savings, and the easiest way to earn money is this signature campaign which is totally free and without any investment you can join and after some time can make money by positing your comments in this section and other ways of earning in this forum. Mining is not easy and also money consuming.
The problem with signature campaigns is that you cannot earn much with them, you can earn some spare money but in no way that is  enough to make a living, besides that is not passive income since you need to work for it while mining can become passive income since you only need to turn on your miners and make money.

1046  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin to be international currency on: November 25, 2017, 05:42:07 PM
To be adopted wide-enough... to be considered "globally adopted" would require a significant uptick in the current adoption rate. I suppose it is competing against time in the sense that it would need to achieve that before it became obsolete or supplanted by a more innovative or better designed cryptocurrency.  There's far too many obstacles in the way of becoming truly global to take for granted that it ever will, beyond the niche role it occupies now.

But you are missing the big picture, if bitcoin reaches that goal then we are the winners since not only we get to use bitcoin all over the world but we also make a lot of money, but if bitcoin is replaced by a superior technology then we win too since we get a crypto used worldwide.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: If Bitcoin had a stable price, would it still be as popular? on: November 25, 2017, 05:37:44 PM
Do you think if BTC had a stable price which could only be altered by $0.01-0.10 it would still be as popular and as used?

Of course bitcoin will remain popular. because it is a digital currency, different from fiat currency.
No there will not be any popularity for bitcoin. Being digital don’t make bitcoin famous, it is the high profit percentages that it gives to its users and this is the only one reason for which bitcoin is being praised by everyone here. And when you talk about being stable or not, believe me the instability is the only one key for bitcoin for this much fame else it will be like any other fiat currency.
I disagree with this, yes there is interest in bitcoin due to its volatile nature, but why there was not such interest in previous digital currencies or in other crypto, that means there is something that makes bitcoin special in order to receive this kind of interest and when you read satoshi's whitepaper you understand why there is such high interest in bitcoin.
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: The best time to invest. on: November 25, 2017, 05:22:37 PM
The best time to invest is when the market is dumping because that is the time where the whales are planning for the next entry or move that they will engage and that is also when the shorters or day traders are selling their bitcoin and that is now the best time for us to invest or buy some bitcoin for long term investment or to get some bitcoin for a very cheap price which is good for both shorting and long term.
This is correct but at the same time it is really difficult to get the perfect point of entry, besides what happens if you planned to buy now but you wait for the dump but bitcoin keeps growing and the next dump still has an higher price than now? This is why if you want to invest do it now.
1049  Economy / Economics / Re: Alt coin price manipulation is much easier than with BTC on: November 25, 2017, 05:19:30 PM
It is exciting thing that we have in cryprocurrency that there could be such manipulation. It is not illegal) and i think it is just th reality of cryptoworld that such tricks could be performed)) Roger Ver as an old friend of mine told me about his intentions in advance, so I benefited a little bit from Bitcoin Cash)))

Well altcoins until they become established with a greater decentralized market like bitcoin will continue to suffer manipulations every now and then because its easier and people can either input or output a few millions and skew things in their favour.
When it comes to altcoins with low volume and a low market cap you do not even need millions it is possible to alter the price dramatically with a few thousands dollars, this is why those kind of alts move very abruptly so if you want to avoid that you need to invest in coins with high market cap.
1050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Diamond BCD - will this match up to BCH/BTG in value? on: November 25, 2017, 05:16:52 PM
BCD is it another copy? I think it is crazy, what is next? Bitcoin Platin, or Bitcoin Carbon?
There is bitcoin silver as well, I know what you mean this has become a joke, it is ridiculous, but on topic no bitcoin diamond is not going to grow like bitcoin cash, it is a projects with no merit and while most of the forum have heard of bitcoin cash most never heard about bitcoin diamond.

I would like to apply for this campaign but it seems the signature for SR members is too long so I am wearing the one for full members for now.

Added and sent you a pm
Still does not work, the max characters in a signature for a sr member is 4000 characters while the signature is almost 5000 characters long.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: November 24, 2017, 08:37:49 PM
Quote
Do Altcoins really have a future?
This is basically a synonym of do companies that deploy tokens have future?
And the answer is simple - a few have, the others don't. Just like in the traditional economy - in every sector, you can find a few leading companies, a bunch of second best, some niche and a whole lot of failures.
This. The amount of failed startups is staggeringly high.

I think something like 9 out of 10 startups just never make it past the first few months, let alone years.

And they only get funding after a lot of due diligence has been done. Meanwhile in crypto everything gets funded because people don't know how to judge the quality of a project.

So surely there'll be even more failures in crypto than in traditional business.
And if you add scammers into the mix that never had any intention to create a working product and are only creating icos in order to subtract money form their investors then the ratio is even worst in fact it is surprising anything gets done in crypto when you take all those factors into consideration.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Why people scam on: November 24, 2017, 08:35:08 PM
People scam to earn money fast and why would someone not want that i think people are tired of waiting and having patience for them to earn bitcoins or even to wait for bitcoin to grow and that is why they think lets start scamming then i will earn more and faster.

They are lazy people that doesn't want to earn in the right way. And they found it out that scamming people is the best and easiest way for them to feed their family. I can't take to let my family eat something that didn't went through my sweat and blood. I can't take it to feed them with food that I bought from dirty money, I don't know on how these people can take this type of activity and manage to have a strong appetite.
They probably have no remorse at all, I know that I will not be able to sleep at all if  I knew my income did not come from a legal source, I will always be looking over my shoulder and I will feel guilty for those that lost their money, but those kind of people have no empathy at all and that is why they can do that.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: November 24, 2017, 08:31:58 PM
SONM global decentralized supercomputer, awesome technology, its gonna beat amazon, google, azure clouds, witch cheaper prices, and you will be able to make money by sharing your computer or smartphone resources, check it out https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sonm/

its way much better than golem, iexec.
I have heard a lot about SONM and yet their market cap is still very low, maybe this is a good time to invest but since none of my other investments has give to me any profits I prefer to wait before making another investment in a project that is still under development.
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin UP BitCoinCash DOWN on: November 24, 2017, 08:29:39 PM
Bitcoin Cash was pumped after the cancellation of Segwit2x when the investors of BCH used the opportunity in the best possible way, pumping it to new limits and catching everyone's eye. At, one instance people were so attracted that they started talking Bitcoin Cash crossing Bitcoin also. But all the myths and pumping cannot last long and eventually Bitcoin Cash is coming down and Bitcoin is going up again as expected.
I do not why people believed that nonsense, it was obvious that was never going to happen those that support bitcoin cash really believed they could surpass all the work that has being going on in bitcoin for 10 years in a matter of days, if they did that they just deceived themselves.
1056  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is like heroin on: November 24, 2017, 08:26:26 PM
Just like heroin or crack cocaine, it creates an addiction.

Same as was gambling

Many in here seem to have been caught up in it, spending far too much of their money on something. Partially to get the dopamine rush of buying more coin, and partially to satisfy their gambling lust hoping to score big.

It is no different than the people gambling their savings away on the roulette. Right now we are at the point where they have entered the casino and have been lucky, so they are up more money than they came. But instead of quitting while they are ahead they genuinely believe that their luck continues.

In the end it ends bad.
You got it all wrong those type of drugs only do damage to your organism, while if bitcoin is done correctly it will only be beneficial for you, you are reading too much into this, bitcoin is just a currency, I do not get any kind of thrill by holding bitcoin at all.

1058  Economy / Economics / Re: Chicago Future CME will be good? (maybe bad) on: November 22, 2017, 02:40:37 AM
About the future Chicago market, what is your opinion about price fluctuations?
Considering betting market, companies will not buy bitcoins, but gamble (bet) on a future price. If there is a big bet on the devaluation, we may have a sharp fall from January.
In my opinion, in the first month of trading in Chicago it will be favorable to the rise of the price of bitcoin, but I believe that from February, we can have great negative oscillations.
Agree?
The truth is that I have mixed feelings about this situation, I like the fact that this could put more money in the bitcoin market but at the same time I’m worried they are going to begin to sell paper bitcoin and that is going to make the price of bitcoin to go down.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Cash is the future IMO on: November 22, 2017, 02:35:48 AM
We view that the BTC blockchain slowing down radically as mass approval carries on, finance institutions won't accept that slow block-chain once they are able to utilize the BCH block-chain that's substantially faster. I am very long in BCH.
Bitcoin cash is not the future, it is a different vision of what bitcoin should be and if they want to become bitcoin they will have to beat bitcoin not only in the market cap but on the amount of people using their network and at this time no one is using bitcoin cash.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think an $8000 Bitcoin Price Is Cool? Wait Until We Hit $12000 in January on: November 22, 2017, 02:30:51 AM
Please no, let altcoins breathe
That is not bitcoin job or the job of investors, if bitcoin is skyrocketing because more money is coming into cryptocurrencies then bitcoin is going to go up whether we like it or not, if you care about making money then the choice is easy, join the coin that is moving up.
