I bought these cards and used escrow with SaltySpitoon. I got them and seems legit so far. I will let you know if I find anything good! Thanks!

mmmh, not for me, what has been changed?

Bad nodes are being excluded allowing you to find real nodes faster. This is why you should update if you haven't already.

Has anyone else noticed the network transactions are speeding up now? Smiley

The OSX client was incorrectly labeled before with the wrong link. The correct OSX and Daemon files are now listed. Sorry if you had any trouble because of this.
10426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: InfiniteCoin - More like InfiniteClients and BlockChains. on: December 05, 2013, 05:03:45 PM
I didn't realize the new person updated the GitHub yesterday.

I installed IFC a couple days ago when it wasn't updated.

Then some random person posts a new client with no source, and I don't do that.

So there is the issue.

I am updating to 1.8.5 from GitHub now.

Glad to hear it. Hope to see you at http://www.infinitecointalk.org
10427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: InfiniteCoin - More like InfiniteClients and BlockChains. on: December 05, 2013, 04:58:23 PM
Ok, this is starting to grind my gears.

Every time I install this stupid InfiniteCoin client, I am NEVER on the right block chain.

It appears there are several different clients and several blockchains.

The problem is, who is on the right one?

How many people are using 1.8.5? Because that to me is not a legit version.

I am using 1.8.0 from the GitHub.

This is just getting stupid and people really need to ignore this ignorant coin.

I would like to offer p2pool for it but it becomes a pain in the butt when everyone is mining and their wallet has a different blockchain.

WHAT DO I DO?

There was never any question which chain was right. All you had to do was check your block count and compare to the block explorer. Some people like coinchoose did not update the client and were seeding bad nodes, and hence flooded the network with users who could not sync to good nodes. 1.8.5 is the official update on Github and fixed these problems. This is a new dev who is not repeating the mistakes of the former. Not really sure what you want, but if you don't update the client then I am not sure where you have room to complain.

and where did you upload it to, so we don't have to go through that gauntlet?

all I see in the response is "you're welcome".

you're welcome for what?

If it was a PM, then please give it to us ALL.

BTW, some idiot on ebay trying to sell 2M IFC for $10,000.00 USD

what does that make my 50M worth?

and....
I wouldn't be advertising anything about using cryptsy at the moment. You'll just get screwed out of your coins.

Also, neither infinitecoin.org or .com has any links to the 1.8.5 client, or any other client.
I suppose I should be glad I already have 1.8.0
http://www.infiniteco.in/ just takes you back to infinitecoin.com, which ,once again has no links to the client at all. And there is not one at  the beginning of this thread.
I believe that is called "an infinite loop", or infinitecoin loop, which ever you wish. Either way, nothing works.

so just where did you hide it?

I hid it masterfully in the OP. I could have got away with it too - if it weren't for you meddling kids.

10434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / NEW DIRECTION FOR INFINITECOIN on: December 04, 2013, 12:43:25 PM
After a long hard fight to get INFINITECOIN back in good shape, today I think we are beginning to make the first steps of the new phase of this coins growth. Congratulations everyone on all the great work you have done so far. The growth over the past few weeks has been astonishing and demand has clearly increased for INFINITECOIN. I am here now to introduce myself if you do not already know me. I have been a participant in the cryptocoin community for over 2 years with most of my activity on bitcointalk.org. I am an early supporter of IFC, and I have been working very hard along with many others in our community to make sure INFINITECOIN can compete in this very chaotic marketplace.  I believe I have demonstrated my intent towards developing IFC for the betterment of the user base as a whole, and hope that I have earned your trust enough as a community to get your help moving it forward and growing our market share and services.

Due to the fact that our previous lead developer Fisheater is busy with his day job, We have both agreed that I will step forward and help organize and facilitate this coins growth during the transition into a fully robust system which provides unique services as well as a great investment opportunity. I have arranged for a new lead developer to take over. He goes by the username uRndUsr. I have known him for years and I have had him work on projects for me in the past and he has my full faith and confidence that he will bring this coin forward to great new heights with a solid client now and in the future.

UrndUsr has worked very hard non stop over the past week through Thanksgiving to get everyone here a fix to the sync issues in the 1.8 client as soon as possible. We plan to release a 2.0 version very soon! For now though time constraints demanded this new 1.8.5 fix version be released quickly so as to have the least disruptive effect possible and get new users acclimated more easily without issue. We are looking foreword to creating something special for this coin and its community.

As far as the future we have plans to target the developing economic markets in Africa and Asia in order to leverage the newly affordable mobile technology just now saturating those markets and providing a digital infrastructure in which INFINITECOIN can thrive. The goal will be reducing the barrier to entry to the cryptocoin market to almost nothing giving these communities access to the global banking system when they might otherwise have no other access to it. Please join us at http://www.infinitecointalk.org to chip in or learn more!
10435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Infinitecoin - IFC | V1.8 Released! *Mandatory Upgrade, upgrade ASAP* on: December 04, 2013, 01:40:03 AM
so ifc is gettign harder  quite soon.. end of the year it should be down to like 4k/block?

Just sad.. another coin im like 2 months late with.

those lucky ones who could solo mine 500k/block..

Perhaps at least by new year, when mining gets way harder - the price might increase.. or fail completely( since new people get too little and older ones hoard and wont trade).

In the next version of the client after the fix release 1.8.5 we plan to address this issue by increasing the default transaction fees. Does anyone have an opinion of what that number should be? What do you think is fair for a TX fee yet still rewards miners?

UPDATED 2/09/2014

CHANGE LOG 1.8.6:

-Advanced check pointing system to protect against a 51% attack. This will be a temporary measure until the full rebuild of 2.0 is completed. The block chain will be regularly monitored by the developers and regular checkpoints will be issued. This limits the effect of 51% attacks and makes recovery much faster and simpler. This will also include a warning message displayed in the client if issues are detected warning users to postpone transactions until the network is secured.

-Transactions under 100 IFC will have a fee of 200 IFC transactions under 10,000 IFC will have a fee of 100 IFC.An optional default fee of 10 IFC will be set in the client for all transactions. This can be easily changed. I encourage you to pay this fee because it will strengthen the network. You will still have the option of setting it lower or even to zero in the client GUI if you must.

-Any transactions over the limit of 10kb per transaction will have a 100 IFC fee per 1kb. Transactions over 100KB can no longer be sent.

You changed your specs halfway thru, and you didn't ask for anything unique... how can you expect more free work and anything other than a "copy and paste coin"? Hippy Tech has a habit of obsessively blaming others for mistakes he has made to the point of inventing tales of several community members being sock puppets all out to get him. They aren't sock puppets, and they are out to get you because you act like an asshole. I don't know muddafudda but I do know Hippy Tech and he truly has nothing better to do than to sit around and invent stories of conspiracy against him in his own mind rather than take responsibility for his actions.

American Eagles gone. Updated inventory.

Thanks for ignoring me. Funny how after I ask for escrow you tell me later... then what I want to buy magically disappears...

Did I not respond to your message? I sold the American Gold Eagles on Friday when I received a ton of PM's. I can ask the buyer to post if you wish? I've also made it quite clear that when I have had specials running, I have set terms, not specials tailored to whatever terms a customer wants to set. I don't need to do deals tailored to your terms when mine do just fine. So now they are gone, sorry. Black Friday was great, although maybe not magical Wink

Obviously they are not so fine for your customers. Thats ok... keep swimming up river if you like, see how far you get.
