CHANGE LOG 1.8.6:

-Advanced check pointing system to protect against a 51% attack. This will be a temporary measure until the full rebuild of 2.0 is completed. The block chain will be regularly monitored by the developers and regular checkpoints will be issued. This limits the effect of 51% attacks and makes recovery much faster and simpler. This will also include a warning message displayed in the client if issues are detected warning users to postpone transactions until the network is secured.

-Transactions under 100 IFC will have a fee of 200 IFC transactions under 10,000 IFC will have a fee of 100 IFC.An optional default fee of 10 IFC will be set in the client for all transactions. This can be easily changed. I encourage you to pay this fee because it will strengthen the network. You will still have the option of setting it lower or even to zero in the client GUI if you must.

-Any transactions over the limit of 10kb per transaction will have a 100 IFC fee per 1kb. Transactions over 100KB can no longer be sent.

MINING

1. Start up infinitecoin-qt, wait for it to load, then exit.

2. Put infinitecoin.conf (see sample file above) in your c:/users/**yourcomputername**/appdata/roaming/Infinitecoin

3. restart infinitecoin-qt, and you should connect and sync.

4. For solo mining, launch cgminer or whatever mining program you like and begin mining.

After a long hard fight to get INFINITECOIN back in good shape, today I think we are beginning to make the first steps of the new phase of this coins growth. Congratulations everyone on all the great work you have done so far. The growth over the past few weeks has been astonishing and demand has clearly increased for INFINITECOIN. I am here now to introduce myself if you do not already know me. I have been a participant in the cryptocoin community for over 2 years with most of my activity on bitcointalk.org. I am an early supporter of IFC, and I have been working very hard along with many others in our community to make sure INFINITECOIN can compete in this very chaotic marketplace.  I believe I have demonstrated my intent towards developing IFC for the betterment of the user base as a whole, and hope that I have earned your trust enough as a community to get your help moving it forward and growing our market share and services.

Due to the fact that our previous lead developer Fisheater is busy with his day job, We have both agreed that I will step forward and help organize and facilitate this coins growth during the transition into a fully robust system which provides unique services as well as a great investment opportunity. I have arranged for a new lead developer to take over. He goes by the username uRndUsr. I have known him for years and I have had him work on projects for me in the past and he has my full faith and confidence that he will bring this coin forward to great new heights with a solid client now and in the future.

UrndUsr has worked very hard non stop over the past week through Thanksgiving to get everyone here a fix to the sync issues in the 1.8 client as soon as possible. We plan to release a 2.0 version very soon! For now though time constraints demanded this new 1.8.5 fix version be released quickly so as to have the least disruptive effect possible and get new users acclimated more easily without issue. We are looking foreword to creating something special for this coin and its community.

As far as the future we have plans to target the developing economic markets in Africa and Asia in order to leverage the newly affordable mobile technology just now saturating those markets and providing a digital infrastructure in which INFINITECOIN can thrive. Allow me to introduce myself, as I will be taking over development of Infinitecoin.

I have been using and working with bitcoin for the last 3 years.
I have been programming for going on 10 years now. Using languages C/C++,C#,php,python

Most of the projects I have worked on deal with automation and large amounts of data.

*IMPORTANT UPDATE*

This update will fix sync issues for many users and stabilize the infinitecoin network.

What has been done:
   
   The current changes that have been implemented are a sync fix, this was done by adding more checkpoints. Gitian was updated allowing it to be
   easier for users to compile the infinitecoin client on their own. There is a temporary fix to clean up some network node issues.

Known issues

   Using the same magicn umber used to identify Litecoin. The issue with this is a few other alts are using this as well.
   This means when you connect to a node on the network it might not be used for infinitecoin. This makes it harder for infinitecoin
   nodes to find each other. A fix for this is being streched out over 1.8.5 and 2.0. Currently there is a temporary check in place that will
   disconnect nodes that are not using a 1.8 client. This temporary will be replaced in 2.0 where it can filter the versions correctly.
   
   
Whats next

   The next step is to update to 2.0 which will be using a newer code base of Litecoin. Which will bring infinitecoin up to date with all the changes
   the newer Litecoin client has.
   
   Things you can look forward to in 2.0. Coin control,  increased tx fee.
