10421  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin prices dropped, should you buy? on: January 21, 2018, 09:21:15 PM
Simple logic when the price is low, BUY and when the price increased more than you bought it before then SELL. Believing in the potential of bitcoin is different when your goal is only to take profits. But that's the idea that we must give to the newbies out there. If you are for the tech, you are on the right way and you'll get a good journey in bitcoin but if you're for the profit only, you will easily end your trip.
If you're sure, I think you can buy and collect Bitcoin as much as possible. Always hope for the best, and be prepared for the worst. But I think Bitcoin will be fine. That's because we've seen this a lot, and Bitcoin is always up and down. But we will soon see and know that Bitcoin will rise above all the shortcomings that occur today. I hope I can collect Bitcoin as much as I can while there is still time. So if there is a sudden increase in prices, I can get a lot of profit then. I guess you know what I mean and now the choice depends on you.
Yep, you can buy and collect during those dips just like now, the price went back to $11,200. This is why bitcoin is volatile, you may see it before you sleep at higher price then when you wake up that will be lowered so when you are on that timing, it's better to buy. I know what you mean, the logic is what I've said from my post before, buy low at price and sell at high price. And if you will take check the price, it's down again and other crypto's as well so it's a good time to buy.
10422  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 21, 2018, 11:27:04 AM
Wow the thunder just annilated the cavs. 148 points. Cavs were even trying. No defense that game lol
The rampage of the Big 4 have made the visitors sweep Cleveland Cavaliers in front of their fans and win easily during an extremly enjoyable NBA evening. Some statistics :

*)Paul George: 36 points - 7 rebounds - 2 assists.
*)Russell Westbrook: 23 points - 20 assists - 9 rebounds - 2 steel.
*)Carmelo Anthony: 29 points - 10 rebounds - 3 assists.
*)Stephen Adams: 25 points - 10 rebounds.

An historical game for both teams. And one of the greatest victories of the thander through their history, in return one of of the heaviest defeats for the king Lebron James.
What an amazing game. That's an impressive game for the Thunders and this will make them one of the crowd favorites and for Cavs there must be something wrong with their game play. Thanks for the summary of the score statistics of the thunders. PG13 nailed this game, I mean the whole team played well. Next game for Cavs will be against Spurs and let's see if they can recover from this loss.

At both team there is no defense not just Cavaliers.

Look at the 148 for Okc and 124 for Cavaliers, that's a hell lots of scores so both team push their offensive to it's extent.
That's their game style and if all matches will be on this type of playing, well see high scores again.

10424  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Trading Gambling? on: January 20, 2018, 09:47:09 PM
Trading is like a gambling in terms of selecting coins to invest
This argument will never end. We can conclude that trading and gambling are the same because there's risk on it. And every investment has risk will be called like a gamble so whether you trade, you gamble or do anything to regain some profit out of your capital can be called as a gamble.
If you invest for trading you can sure that you are not lose
Not all does have a good TA so there's no assurance that you won't lose when you trade.

Its impossible to beat the house with Mathematics, statics and probability. If you aim to beat them then just be with your luck then but the question is how can you be with your luck? Something that cannot be seen and predicted is hard to assume that you can beat them.
I'm curious why people are still believing in martingale? It is one of the surest way to lose your coins at the end of the day.
Basing on their experience so they still trust martingale, I tried it before but as you said I lost. If they are lucky to use martingale strategy then let them use it, they are simply lucky with that strategy and we are not.
10427  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Are Exchanges becoming too unstable ? on: January 20, 2018, 08:49:01 PM
Almost all large and reliable exchanges of cryptocurrencies remain as stable as before.
They used to be good before but I agree with Big bad bit Baron. Most of them changed and the reason is because there are too many new investors that use to start trading. Their databases, support tickets seems to be crowded with new queries, info's that has been adding thousands of users from time to time so that will be their issue for now and they have to adjust and upgrade to cater more users in the future.
10428  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to do micro payments with bitcoin? on: January 20, 2018, 08:31:29 PM
Micro payments aren't good for transacting with bitcoin for now, yep just for now and as others are saying lightning network will solve this expensive fee that we are dealing with today. Let's just hope that everything goes accordingly and it will be implemented as soon as possible. For micro payments you can convert it to other alts for the meantime like DOGE or ETH. But if you can afford to pay the fee with bitcoin why not still continue transacting with it. That's what I do, if the fee is affordable and it is not more than the amount I send then it's fine.
10429  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Safety of coins on: January 20, 2018, 08:00:23 PM
According to me for bitcoin wallet blockchain(dot)com is the best and secure.

It's a web wallet so anything that is in the surface of internet doesn't have an assurance of security but as per mocacinno said if there is/are dev who maintains the whole system properly will make that safe but still don't be confident.

I would combine two strategies :

1. Hardware wallet : You buy a hardware wallet and you store say 30% of you coins in that wallet. This will give you easy access to some of your coins.

2. Paper wallet : You store the remaining 70% of your coins in paper wallets. <Off-line storage> It is important that these paper wallets are created in the most secure method possible, before you store any coins on them. Search for guides on how to create secure paper wallets on this forum, because it has been discussed multiple times on this forum before.

Try to split the 70% into smaller amounts on different paper wallets and make a backup of these paper wallets. <store that in a different location>
I'm storing most of my coins on hardware wallet to be specific with nano ledger s.

the safest way is hardware wallet, but it's expensive.
Security isn't expensive if you have more than the price of what you buy, if you find it expensive then shift to paper wallets or if you have an extra laptop install a desktop wallet and use it as real hardware wallet.
10430  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: *FUNNY* Blockchain.info - 32 days Unconfirmed tx on: January 20, 2018, 07:44:15 PM
Thanks Potato Chips! I'd like to know how you got ViaBTC to work, I couldn't.

Since I just used those rebroadcasting links, I don't know if it was you or me that did it... either way, my transaction finally went through. =)

Rebroadcasting is different from accelerating as it is just reminding the miners not to forget your transaction so it won't get dropped in their mempool, it doesn't necessarily mean that your transaction will be included in the next block. I say It's useful with stuck transactions that has a decent/high miner fee.

Then again since it's been stucked for 32 days, some nodes may have dropped it so It probably played a part either way. Go to any block explorer to view your transaction and tap the block 505065 and you'll see that it was relayed by Viabtc.

The trick is you have to use a good timer (I'm using this one: https://time.is/UTC) and and when XX:59:59 comes, click the tab where viabtc is and tap the submit button.
So yeah you have to fill in the captcha beforehand but then if you fill it in too early the token might expire.

Great advice Potato Chips, I've seen those low fees that can't have any access to viabtc's accelerator but it seems that there's a possibility that even for a low fee it can be accelerated.

either way, my transaction finally went through. =)
I'm happy for you nice, it has 161 confirmations already.
10431  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Best bitcoin mining site using laptop !? on: January 20, 2018, 12:32:38 AM
You will just lose years of lifespan for your laptop if you'll try to mine with bitcoin. What are you thinking? Mining through cloud and just monitor it out with your laptop? If you're thinking that way, please stop that mindset because you'll be scammed. To take this, you can't mine with laptop if it's for bitcoin but if you want to mine bitcoin just buy an ASIC miner from bitmain. Even how powerful the specs of your laptop if you have chosen to mine bitcoin, still it's not worth to try.
10432  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: unconfirmed transaction for 10 days on: January 20, 2018, 12:19:28 AM
my transaction is unconfirmed for more than a week now, is it ok ?
What's the TXID? Normally when our transactions are unconfirmed for weeks or even up to months it's because of the low fee that we made - low sat/B.
For our friends who are dealing with hardship for their unconfirmed transactions, you can use this list of FREE BTC Tx Accelerators. Stop paying for something that is free! credits to Zepher.
10433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is ethereum so slow? on: January 19, 2018, 11:37:19 PM
Less users = faster transactions
Less transactions = faster transactions
More users = network congestion
More transactions = network congestion
The same thing with bitcoin.
10434  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Yobit Support on: January 19, 2018, 11:12:11 PM
Hello everyone Smiley

here is the response from customer service
Wallet  is on maintenance.
The solution to this cryptocurrency will take some time, need to update the wallet.
We apologize for any inconvenience

I have no answer since my new question  Angry
a person was able to get his money back ?

I keep you informed.

It's very normal to yobit when it comes to the wallet updates. They are always stuck and keeps on telling that they are on maintenance. When the wallet is up and working then you can start withdrawing your coins there but for now you can't do something about it but to wait and hope for their fast resolution to that wallet.
10435  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know its time to Stop? on: January 19, 2018, 10:51:00 PM
As soon as you realize that you earned at least a quarter of what you were supposed to use for gambling. This is the best strategy for me, since you are not spending all your money and you are setting a stop lose for youself.
It's not also about winning at least a quarter. You need to be cautious too when you had enough loss, stopping will make you less if you'll do it at the right time. Basically a gambler that has a big trust to himself will gamble all along and will only stop until he has left nothing on his bankroll.
It is nice when you read it, but most people are overruned by emotions, so they don't follow the rules they have set. One must have strong character to follow this trough.
Fact! When we had brought that much with our emotions because we can't accept the fact that we lost those self appointed rules will be ignored.
10436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: January 19, 2018, 10:22:45 PM
The investors will only lose if they will sell under the buying rate they got in. But if the price starts to decrease just like what we've seen and they will just let their bitcoins stay for awhile then there's nothing gonna happen if they'll wait for a green pump again. Tonight the price starts to decline again and major coins are on red again. Just don't sell if you are on loss and mostly don't panic sell.
10437  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 19, 2018, 10:08:01 PM
King James always are really good at the play-off. He's the MVP that has the stable score all time at play-offs.
He's also getting much hate from many fans who can't appreciate his skills. I admire him since he's still a rookie and was seen his potential because he's not playing like a rookie. He always scores good and showing his great talent as an athlete (Basketball player). I'm waiting to see them back at the finals, I'm not a fan of his but I appreciate his good performance every single game they had. No doubt that he'll be a candidate as MVP.
10438  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin gambling is legal? on: January 18, 2018, 11:43:01 PM
In my opinion, it only depends about in where are you located at the moment, and where is the casino (online) located. If it doesn't have the proper license, you can easily bring back some lawyers and they will close the casino soon because it doesn't meat the regulations
If you found a casino (a physical) ones in your place or in your country then it's clear that your country supports gambling. They are giving license to operate to those who wants to run this business and the government will take a big portion on it. But with bitcoin gambling, it's different but you have the assurance that bitcoin gambling is legal since they are supporting gambling.
10439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you buying altcoins on: January 18, 2018, 11:30:52 PM
I can't resist and help myself when I'm seeing a lot of greens on altcoins so yes I did bought a lot of coin mostly with those very cheap altcoins that I'm starting to hold now. Diversify your investment not only with bitcoin, not only with ETH but also with other alt coins that are good to invest with.
10440  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 18, 2018, 11:14:40 PM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?
Don't YOLO if that money will be used for something important. If I'm on that situation, seriously I'm going to YOLO IF it's not for transportation allowance. But with your case, don't gamble at that time. Just stop and focus on your driving and don't ever think your losses while you are driving, take care happy driving.
