10521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My free sport betting picks [CSGO] on: May 17, 2020, 11:55:56 AM
I bet crypto on cloudbet. If it's free money, take it.
I doubt it's free money.

It is free. They have an ongoing English premier league free contest every week (I've actually won 30MB freebets from 5/7 picks) called Majestic Seven but now with lockdown, it's all e-sports. I was asking you for your picks on those 24 games from dreamhack, since I don't know anything. Seeing if you might do better since you're a tipster on CS:Go.

Have a look, it's free to play and while you're unlikely to get all 24 picks right to get the 5 BTC, you still get skins for top 3 places.
10522  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: May 17, 2020, 10:53:39 AM
@LFC_Bitcoin: I'm not sure I'll ever get over it, but yeah it really sounds like you're right there on training. I'm so glad they decided not to play the "scoring soundtrack" I always found that weird and hearing it boom around an empty stadium sounds creepy af. I always thought that was a bit too American for me too heh.

@JanpriX well you smashed the draws! I actually didn't realise Leipzig had such a huge odds on them to draw, and tomahawk also I think thought many draws were to be expected, so good on you guys!

I need Bayern to go down today to get my first profits from post-lockdown footie =D
10523  Economy / Speculation / Re: Globb0 BTC charts on: May 17, 2020, 09:41:38 AM
I did NOT expect to see 9500 today.

@Tytanowy: Couldn't agree more with programming, even if I never really updated my own skillz since the early 1990s with BASIC. But I think kids should really learn it, not just for things like this but for any kind of simple automation outside of trading.

The only problem with these bots (to me) is that if your coding isn't solid, then you have unexpected consequences you can't foresee if you don't have a good coding brain. I still slip on Excel formula even though been using it for years (and only find out when someone finds my error after they start using it) but I think there are some bots that really allow for quite robust testing and debug of your code these days. Never actually tried them but I think Haas looks like a contender for that. Ever had experience?

@Gl0bbo: You ever watch the re-imagined Battlestar? Not ashamed to say it's my favourite sci-fi series.
10524  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 17, 2020, 08:38:29 AM
I predicted some draws a week ago, i felt like some teams could be a bit rusty after two months without playing..we got 2 draws so far (almost 3 if it wasn't for Wolsfburg late goal) with 4 more games to go.

@buwaytress  not gonna lie, man, I was looking forward to seeing your thread in the 1st page today with your Bundesliga picks  Cheesy

That is so touching to hear toma seriously =p But thanks! I haven't forgotten about the thread and today's pick is there already;)

That's what I made my bets on, and I was hoping the bigger teams would be a bit more complacent than the ones fighting mid-table mediocrity (and the fact in Austria one smaller team was caught breaking all the training rules made me think that more!), but I made a gross miscalculation after all.

Leipzig did seem slower than usual though, don't you think?
10525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +28914 units on: May 17, 2020, 08:06:39 AM
We didn't forget about me, did we guys?

Bundesliga is back and after almost 2 months (earlier if you discount the shitty picks I made on last-chance saloon betting), we're raring to go and hoping that Bayern rediscover their early season lethargy when they take on unfancied Union Berlin today;)

Easy one for me then:

100 units at Betcoin on Union Berlin to WIN vs Bayern Munich @14.72. Sportsbet odds: 14.0

Odds advantage: 5.14%
Units advantage: 72

Running advantage after 295 bets: +6,915.82 (+72)
All-time cumulative: +28,914.93
Running units after 294 bets (49W|245L): +11,527.75 (-100 units)

Doubling During Halving!

Hey guys! Is this still on? I could have sworn I read that being 3x the amount of Golden Tickets though, or has that been changed? Wondering if I should pull the trigger and go take some heavy risks today.

Promo said 48 hours but I didn't see anything in my email or on the FBC website, so just want to make sure;)

P.S. Would be cool to see a sort of countdown to next ticket earned.
10527  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaigns and some discussion about seo on: May 16, 2020, 06:57:56 PM
I've never tried using links on signature -- or I did initially but never tracked or it never brought much value -- but I did have a couple of threads directing to a small personal website I have -- name in the title and a few links on the first page. They're quite active threads in gambling and get a good amount of discussion but I don't really get good traffic from there from what basic analytics I have.

Thanks for the question though. I think I probably should update those links to tracking links and properly see the value of that. My guess is, not really?
10528  Economy / Economics / Re: The End of "USD" as the World's Reserve Currency on: May 16, 2020, 04:38:51 PM
The end should come, money cycles just means different standards have a limited lifetime, but don't count on the US dollar ending in our lifetime. For as long as we're still predicting 2025 prices in US dollars for Bitcoin, we're not ready for the dollar to stop being the benchmark for value.

I'd personally love to see things getting priced in BTC. Imagine moneychangers having a whole list of pairs against BTC!

But really. I'm not blaming COVID-19 for much, least of all when the economy's in this shitty state because of things that started long before a man in Wuhan ingested some exotic meat.
10529  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 16, 2020, 03:32:59 PM
Nope, nothing going my way. Should have stuck to backing Hertha so my 3-leg parlay already dead in water. Also lost backing Schalke who were miserable against Dortmund so that's 2 games I lost already. Not a great start so far, and this suggests teams are as strong as before?

@Harkorede at least there wasn't that weird sound of the goal music celebration like the closed door match I saw with Juventus pre lockdown! My streams were really, really bad though. I guess bandwidth totally down with millions watching =(
10530  Economy / Speculation / Re: The excitement is over, what's next? on: May 16, 2020, 03:07:50 PM
@gentlemand. What is the excitement? Reopening of the world after the coronavirus? It might be another occassion for disappointment, I reckon.

In any case, the next source of excitement and hype on the cryptospace is the pump of Eth 2.0. It might be bigger than the halving hehehe.

Let's all pick any number of random things to hype, and then enjoy the dud when it arrives to a fizzling of disappointment and letdowns.

ETH 2.0 is 2021 though isn't it? And that's not just a halving but a quartering at least. Probably just in time for the next Bitcoin fomo super parabola rally to break ATH by 1000% at first attempt.

See how easy it is to hype shit?Wink
10531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My free sport betting picks [CSGO] on: May 16, 2020, 01:39:25 PM
There's a new free-to-play promotion at FortuneJack and since you're a CSGO tipster, I'd like to get your ideas on the picks there. You can register for free and play here.

I went for completely random picks as I have zero interest in or knowledge of CSGO but who says no to a free try at 5 BTC right?

Germany was doing better than any other nation to begin with so it is normal that they are the first one coming back as well. I have only two leagues in mind that would be hard to come back and I think all others are either already cancelled or should continue to play.

A point somehow forgotten by a lot of people. Saw some theories as to why they recovered so quickly but my suspicion is that it's less science and more coincidence and a whole lot of unknowable factors that produced a fluke in Europe.

All the same, we're all happy to have some normalcy back in football. First match in about an hour!
10533  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: May 16, 2020, 10:51:52 AM
@Lakai well, I didn't expect everyone to be following the rules at all, but I certainly didn't expect entire clubs to sanction such flouting of common good rules. Some things are irresponsible, other things are downright nasty and that's a bit of both. Oh well.

Who else is all prepped for Bundesliga? If I get even one of three bets right today, I'm in profit. Anyone trying out the streak? Was shitty at it for EPL... But 3 hours and counting!
10534  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for UK permitted BTC casino.... on: May 16, 2020, 09:49:22 AM
Unfortunately I don't think there are any at all.

There are plenty of UKGC licensed casinos that also accept bitcoin as deposits but these are regular non crypto casinos... Yr Bitcoin is converted to fiat as soon as it hits their 3rd party processor. That said, there are plenty of crypto casinos that don't discriminate geography, and, those that do do not necessarily restrict players by nationality -- they merely do not accept deposits coming from geographical locations, and that means linked to IP.

In so many words, you can deposit from a non restricted location and continue to play.

Even Bitcoin Casinos Must Mind UKGC Licensing Fees, this is 2020 now

Most people don't get this. It was so even in 2016 but yeah, with brexit and EU no longer keen to look the oyhet way and with crypto casinos cropping up strongly, impossible now.
10535  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is halving a big damage to mining pools? on: May 16, 2020, 08:35:20 AM
Its a change or tightening to the protocol, I wouldnt worry especially about this event because the difficulty is constantly being raised on the miners.   Im not sure if I completely agree with that idea because lower difficulty could lower the block times to 5 minutes instead of 10 but this is what has been decided.   Higher diff is constantly causing hardware to become redundant and I dont view the block reward changing as much different, the price of BTC itself must justify all work done also.
All these factors will inter relate and effect each other and its been going on a while now, many doubted it would work yet somehow it has thus far.

Actually, it's funny that people are actually worrying about halving. There was really no such concern that I recall in 2016, and doesn't seem like there's much online to suggest people were worried in 2012 either, but I guess this one was hyped so much to the point that people are now wondering if capitulation really is about to happen.

Halving's supposed to be a good thing, and 6.25 btc, or even 3.125 or 1.5625, for that matter, is still a crapload of rewards for the next 12 years. Plenty of time to not worry =p
10536  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Main Club Partner of Watford FC ⚽ Fun. 🏀 Fast. 🎾 Fair. 🏆 on: May 15, 2020, 12:04:18 PM
I'm definitely going to be sitting with beer and telly. You guys all know I love an upset and I'm going to stick with my guns and go for a Berlin upset, particularly as we've got no idea how unfit any of the players are. Could be a riot!

But I'll back down from Hertha and go for a parlay of Hoffenheim/Gladbach/Koln at a nice 10/1 with price boost!

Good luck everyone!
10537  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin halving's 3 possible scenarios. on: May 15, 2020, 09:41:44 AM
"Boring scenario" won the poll, and it was truly a boring scenario. Everything WAS priced in with the halving event already known to be four years after 2016's halving.

Any market FOMO from here will be of unknown causes.

And checking back in here 3 days later, I can confirm, all of us who voted for boring won and continue to be right. We should all get prizes for finally getting crowd wisdom right in this forum.

I'll admit I held some small belief I could be wrong, especially when we touched 10k last Friday. Would have been happy to been proven wrong. Still, next difficulty adjustment coming up, and every step from there could clue us in on how miners are thinking.
10538  Economy / Speculation / Re: Globb0 BTC charts on: May 15, 2020, 07:26:39 AM
Actually, didn't know Binance doesn't support it (just checked now) -- I'd have thought these platforms were far more advanced these days than the forex ones of 15 years ago!

Anyway, what do you use Globb0 if at all for automated trading? Or is everything manual? It would see bots like HaaS or cryptohopper have these features but even free ones like Signal let you use Trailing stop.

P.S. I never tried Trailing Take Profit but it's a thing too...
10539  Economy / Securities / Re: Vietnamese Exchange BitcoinVN Is Seeking Investors For 12 New Bitcoin ATMs on: May 15, 2020, 05:43:39 AM
The lease of our location host (Italianis) was up - and since that specific location lived on about 50% tourists (of which there are none right now and possibly months to come) it has been probably a prudent decision not to go into a bidding war with Mobile World (which will move in there now).

So yeah, COVID certainly caused an impact there - but the Italianis folks are smart & hard-working, so probably the right move to step back from that location and focus on their other location(s) for now  Smiley

One door closes, another opens, it would appear!

I do remember discussing with you some time back about the BATM that was installed at Schiphol -- by the time I actually went to check it out, it had been long uninstalled -- in fact, it wasn't even in any directory there, nor did any of the Info desks know about it, but the BBQ location for yours at least should get more eyes on it.

Very cool pic =)

I'm going to aim for a Berlin win after their horrible, horrible season of false dawn. Dortmund for the win also looks like a good parlay.

Anyone seeing all the Bundesliga teams on Twitter trying to seduce EPL support? Funny, and something tells me Bundesliga will break all viewing records if there were a way to capture all those streams!

P.S. Steve, Harry Kane and Leyton Orient, say whaaaaat?
