10521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC getting too expensive to gamble with on: January 05, 2018, 04:22:23 PM
What other cryptocurrency are you using and which casino are you playing at? BTC is getting to expensive to be depositing and playing in just BTC.

Yes bitcoin is too much expensive now. That's why every gambler is excited to win bitcoin. Every gambler now was greed and longing to get plenty of bitcoin to become rich quickly. Gambling is good when it comes to bitcoin talk. This is the best way for me to save for the future of my kids. That my dreams will come true through bitcoin. I will wait this moment to be a part of rich person in bitcoin. Everybody will grab bitcoin now because on its amazing price now that is so very expensive.

Bitcoin is gaining ground once more almost touching $17K so its really hard to gamble when the price is going up. We really love to gamble, but if the price keeps going up, sometimes to better to hold than you gamble all your bitcoin and hope that you will win, otherwise all your bitcoin could be gone in an instant. Although I still gamble online, I have to limit myself, that's why I would just go to a landbased casino and just play it there. At least I can only bring amounts that I  can afford to lose.
10522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: January 05, 2018, 04:03:44 PM
I do not know if you have this in your country but here in the Philippines we have a comic strip cards we call it text.
We flip it and the winner gets the bet cards.
Also we bet marbles and plastic hero figures.

That is some of my childhood games, unlike today that every kid are playing on their phone or tablet.  Wink

LOL mate. That was long time ago and time changes very quick. I used to play it back in the days, however, when the advent of technology, everything changes.

If I'm not wrong, my first play in gambling is when I won $15,000 in a parlay game. I never expect that that's why I'm happy, but because of that's I was become a gambling addict. Everytime there's a fight of basketball in NBA even a local I always bet.

Sometimes I win but most of all I lost, I just want to stop but it's hard for me to do that. So I limit now betting in gambling.

Damn mate, that was a huge windfall you got there if you really won $15K. I will go shopping around with that amount of money and treat my friends. Sadly though, it looks like gambling has given you a taste of medicine resulting you in being addicted. That's what we call beginner's luck and then gambling will suddenly eat your mind and soul becoming a addicted one.
10523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and futures. on: January 04, 2018, 08:11:55 PM
What do you think about the fact that the market is expected to collapse soon because of the fact that bitcoin costs about 15,000. But futures were sold at 17,000, 18,000 and above? Many predict very difficult times for the market.

What do you mean it will collapses? Can you site a good source to backup your claims?

Its just the nature of bitcoin, price moves upward or downward, even last year we have seen a lot of ups and down but bitcoin didn't collapse actually if went even further and no one really thinks that it can reach $19K in 2017. So to say  that it will collapse is total ridiculous. It may be facing difficult times, but a total collapse is very unlikely.
10524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin fall again soon? on: January 04, 2018, 07:41:59 PM
I sold some at 10,900 hoping it will fall again to rebuy in the 9000's as I purchased some around 10,300... Do you guys think another temporary slump will happen soon? Or cut my losses and rebuy now at over 11k?
Bitcoin will increase $50000

Nice prediction, we all love to see the price goes to $50K. However, we don't know when its gonna happen. I'm sure that we all know that bitcoin as of late have been very bullish and even been challenged by Ripple in terms of marketcap.

And as the question on the OP, we have seen bitcoin fall several times but was able to get up multiples times as well. Its just another challenge that bitcoin will have to face in its storied career.
10525  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: January 04, 2018, 04:36:35 PM
Im surprised with the low seed Dallas Mavericks giving headache for top 1 Golden State Warriors in their recent game. Dallas Mavericks able to erased 10 point deficit in the final minutes but as usual, Splash Brothers came up for the Warriors with the highlight of Stephen Curry hitting the winning shot avoiding the possible overtime. This is what Im saying in my posts here I think week ago that Mavericks, even at low seed, can able to upset dominant team as we have seen since the season started.

I think some of the bettors got some decent earnings today for risking handicap (+) for the Mavericks.

Final Score is: 125 - 122 GSW

Did has been the trend lately if I'm not mistaken, teams making huge leads before the opposing team made a mark and try to close out the game. But this time, it didn't work before we have Steph Curry here. Since coming back, he has been spectacular. Although it will really made a lot of people happy if Dallas wins because they have a beat, in this case, we can't really deny how Steph is for the Golden State, they can win without him, but its much easier if he is playing for the team. What a screen though, and Dirk was late picking up Steph in the three point line.
10526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm so overwhelmed on: January 03, 2018, 10:18:22 AM
Today my portfolio went into the 4 digits, and while that may not be a lot to some of you, it's more then I've ever held before.

I have a love/hate relationship with this subreddit, I browse it everyday but also think you guys are the biggest greediest cunts I've ever met.

And no I don't hold RaiBlocks, and not looking for a reason why I should.

I just wanted to say thanks to crypto for giving me a passion.

Congrats if you reached 4 digits because the price is now picking up. I'm also ecstatic as well when my portfolio suddenly grow after a few months of holding specially last December.

Everyone here is in for the money mate, so I'm sure that you will find a lot of greedy cunts around. LOL.

Railblocks? its been dead for quite sometime now.

Everyone here is very passionate about crypto, and most of us really see it as their bread and butter.
10527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bettor place a 40,000 (AUD?) bet on Nick Kyrgios to win the Australian Open on: January 03, 2018, 09:35:35 AM
That guy is crazy, LOL. Nick Kyrgios is a huge underdog to win the AO. The only logical explanation that I can think of is that the guy wants to see a Australian to with AO in 2018. I checked Nick record's on AO last year and it looks like he only gotten on the 2nd round.

I believed that the guy has talent, but sometimes he has the tendency to lose focus and have some attitude problems as well. He is still young and others have really saw some potential in him. But I guess the needs to mature more, and with that said I don't think that he will win this year AO and goodluck to the guy who bet on him. Grin
10528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC 219: Cyborg vs Holm. NEW EVENT!] The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: January 03, 2018, 09:16:52 AM
I'll go with Cyborg even though she is very cocky but damned that girl is a monster she backed up every trash talk she inputs just like what Connor Mcgregor does. So if you are going to bet between she and Holmes go with cyborg the monster.

What the hell are you talking about? Did you know that the fight was already done. I'm sure that you didn't read and just comment here. Please go to youtube and see some highlights. Cyborg already won the fight and its one of the greatest fight that we have seen for the ladies division.

@bbc.reporter, yeah, probably Conor with fight Nate for the trilogy and will just wait for the winner of Khabib vs Ferguson.

10530  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: December 31, 2017, 11:28:54 PM
S.Curry is back! for him 38 points in just 25 minutes played with 10/13 three points.
paradoxically, this break from injury can be healthy for him!

He made a lot of three points in the game alone and he has shown that he is a very valuable member of the team maybe he is only behind Kevin Durant in the pecking order of the team. I wish he could have played in the game against the Cavaliers on Christmas.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant makes a deadly combination for the Golden State Warriors. During the last game, Curry made a total of 38 points, while Durant made 9 assists (highest in the game) and made 20 points. And Durant is on his way to becoming one of the all time greatest players in NBA. Just a few days back, Tony James made the statement that Durant is as good as LeBron James.

But still Lebron James is better than to Kevin Durant and Steph Curry, Like Lebron James is the currently best overall player of the NBA this season. No one currently in the moment can make better than Lebron James in my opinion. He is a beast! Imagine averaging 30+ points, 8 rebound and 8 assist per game.

Of course, Lebron, wouldn't be call the "King" for nothing. He has still something to proved against the upcoming guys specially to Durant. He still hold great stats and for this age, he still at this peak. Although Cavaliers lost last year to Durant and Curry, we can't really deny that they beat them the previous year.

I want them to face Durant and Steph for the NBA once more, however, I wouldn't be surprise if they didn't. Boston Celtics is young and with Irving as the main point man, Cavaliers will have a tough time in the East. But yes, he is still the best in the NBA today.
10531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [UFC 219: Cyborg vs Holm. NEW EVENT!] The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: December 31, 2017, 07:24:34 PM
what a crap card to end the year i dont really like anything but i might put small bets on Carla and Edson
Brendan Schaub predicted Carla and Neil Magny to win the fight and ,to bet against Khabib is a bold move as he is undefeated in the elite division in the best organization and the only worry about him was to get on weight during the weigh ins and he defeated Edson easily ,the fight against Holly Holm and Cyborg was close than expected as i thought Cyborg would defeat Holly easily but it was closer than i thought.

The ladies (Cyborg vs Holly) put up a good fight, actually is a great fight to watch. I was rooting for Holly, however, I think Cyborg really proves that she can adjust and raise her bar. Respect to both of them. I don't know who will be her next challenger, but I love to see her go up against Nunes.

Khabib? Just wow, one of the most lopsided fight I have seen. Khabib vs Ferguson should be next. Connor wouldn't fight Khabib. He is enjoying his millions from his fight with Floyd.  Grin
10532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell all my ripple on: December 31, 2017, 06:57:22 PM
Well I think you should sell only half of your ripple not all of it. Ripple will continue to grow in the start of 2018 and you must hold it to benefit more of the price hike that will happen.

We can't really say for sure that XRP can go up and increase in 2018. We all know for a fact that this is a huge pump that we are seeing and the next thing that we are going to see is a dump, a dump that so hard that you are going to regret your decision for not selling at the top price.

In my opinion, its really the best opportunity to sell it right now mate because of the above reasons that I have given. And then wait till the price goes down again before entering once more. But its really up to you, make up your mind, otherwise, you might lost a good potential profit.
10533  Economy / Economics / Re: Spend Bitcoin as Fiat from Phone? on: December 31, 2017, 06:28:31 PM
Yes, in my country you can use an app as a wallet and also to buy certain certain digital goods such as load for your SIM Card. What's more beneficial is you can get a rebate from your bought load. It plays around 10% rebate so it is really worth the buy. You can also pay all sorts of bills in it, not just electricity but also all utilities such as for your ISP or Water company. It is really convenient in fact that Bitcoin is getting more popular than ever.

Maybe you are talking about coins.ph mate. Its really convenient and we are happy that they have support for the paying bills like internet, water and electricity. I have used that functions as well and its very convenient to us.

But as far as the OP's questions, Yes, there are really wallets that do support that function. However, the issue is that no grocery has yet so far accepting bitcoin or crypto as payment method. We have been dreaming that this, used bitcoin as micro payments. But sadly, it will take a couple of years before we can see this happening.
10534  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin price fluctuation on: December 31, 2017, 06:02:24 PM
Its a normal thing for the price of bitcoin to keeps on fluctuating. I think its part of its characteristics and shouldn't worry us. And I believe that this price are been manipulate by some whale investors. They all know what they are doing, more reason why some upcoming traders and investor, look up to them for direction and trust whichever prediction they make.  Just bear in mind that, no matter how fluctuating the price may be, it can never run down to a $500 or so.

As much as whales are doing some manipulations and as fraudulent as it is, we can't do anything because the market is based on pure speculations. This is only the main reason why those why some people hates bitcoin. But for me, its part of the game. Fluctuations due to them are real, its up to us how to deal with it.

However, manipulators can also turn the tide of bitcoin in a positive way. So it can go either way, the price can go down or the price can increase because of them. Its up to us how to deal and face the challenge in order to make a profit out of this price fluctuations.
10535  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin now slowly drop should i sell? on: December 31, 2017, 07:42:20 AM
This looks like a normal Bitcoin behavior. No need to panic. The way Bitcoin grows is 3 steps forward then one back. If you are hodler, don't bother to track price changes. You will sleep better and price will go up anyway with some pullbacks.
The Worst thing you can do is to sell in panic and after regret in couple weeks after price go up to the new highs.

Exactly! There is already too much regret being aired about Bitcoin and their wrong moves and decisions about it. You do not need to add another regret to that. The glass of regret is already full. The behavior, not just of Bitcoin but all the cryptocurrencies, is always up and down. So you must already be aware of that as of the moment. Panic sellers are always the ones who regretted big time.

That's why its really better not to check the price like every hour or so. What I do sometimes is that I will stay away from checking the price and will just look at it before I went to bed. I'm not worry though if I see the price is going down. I have strong faith in bitcoin and the investors that are around the ecosystem. No regrets as well.

But for those who are regretful, LOL. those guys are really funny because they worry too much and not believing in bitcoin. And for those who have been in the market scene, this is just normal behavior. We have seen this a lot of times, no need to panic and worry.

10536  Economy / Speculation / Re: Attention! BTC is heading for 8K! on: December 31, 2017, 07:20:33 AM
I had watched a video on youtube yesterday and he said that there is a possibility that bitcoin can go down and reach the 8k mark. By When? I don't know that there is a possibility. If this happens, I expected it and I will not be shocked of it.
it looks a lot of people are moving towards new scalable currency and look at this chart how the fee goes down after the ripple was taking the second place in the cryptocurrency,
https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/
Bitcoin started from nothing and there is a possibility if that worth nothing too.

Don't you think it's too much? Yeah bitcoin just came from a scratch and now it's everything but it won't stoop down in that level and investors won't let that happen easily. What happen now in xrp is full of manipulation and it's really hard to tell when the best time for entry and exit. Nevertheless you should be very cautious with it.

Wohohhhh hold your horses guys. Its the end of the and just give bitcoin a break. If it heads to $8K, so be it. We can't really control where the price is going to be, we have been in this kind of situation before but bitcoin always recovered as long as you have the patience.

But yeah, this downward trend seems to make a lot of people very nervous here because of the amount they have investment, so if they want to get out now you can do it and don't wait till the price sinks to $8k. The bears and bulls are still fighting, this is want we are seeing in the last couple of weeks. And no one is really giving an inch. Let's see how it goes though, I will buy when the price gets below $10K. Perfect time to hoard a lot of bitcoins.
10537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin dead? on: December 31, 2017, 07:05:05 AM
Bitcoin can still be saved.  The most important thing for Bitcoin developers to focus on is delivering a good user experience.  If the user experience is not satisfactory, users will move on to other currencies.

People have choice, if they don't like bitcoin because of the issue that we are facing today, then by all means they can go and shift to altcoins. No questions asked. But I really don't know if they can profit as much as they want if they go to altcoins market. Bitcoin has given us so much opportunity to really gain, you just need some patience.

Having said that, if some people moved to altcoins, bitcoin will simply not die. Although it will lose a huge chunk of volumes, but there are more people waiting and willing to enter bitcoin market so it will continue to lived.
10538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be dethroned? on: December 30, 2017, 06:33:35 AM
The current rise of Ripple is quite significant, at market cap Ethereum the long standing 2nd is way below Ripple now and its still going very strong.
I personally know many people who want to get into crypto are getting in via Ripple only.
So I know its a big IF but, if this trend keeps going, can it even surpass bitcoin?

Is bitcoin in danged or being dethroned as No. 1 at coin market cap?

I think by now that you have understand that marketcap is less significant right? And most of the time its fake and very misleading specially if you are a newbie:

Market cap = price x total coins in circulation.

So if newbies that are getting into crypto and getting in XRP will come face to face with a rude awakening. Once the pump on XRP is burst, they will be trap and one way to get out is to incurred losses on your end. And do you think that XRP has the capability to sustained that growth?

I wouldn't be bothered by the rising price of XRP, sooner or later it will crash and bitcoin will remain the no. 1 crypto.
10539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2018 is coming on: December 30, 2017, 06:12:13 AM
What do you think to the bitcoin prices in 2018? It will continue increasing up or continue declining down?

Like most of us here, we want bitcoin to really go up in 2018, But with the current issues that we are facing, it will take a lot of time before it can really took off again. Specially if LN will be implemented to resolved the problems.

If increasing up, what value do you expect? Same if it is declining down?

I'd like to see the price goes to $30K-$40K. There will be a lot of bumps along the way, just like we see in 2017. Nevertheless, it will rise up again and face those challenges and overcome it at the end, reaching $40K. So everyone, just better hold and invest on it while the price is still cheap at the moment.
10540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's happening to Bitcoin? on: December 30, 2017, 05:52:57 AM
I was wondering what was happening to bitcoin myself. It felt like just yesterday it was breaking the ATH of 1,000 and then it hit 2,000, and 4,000. I figured that was the end of the run. Then it hit 8,000. Ok now it's risen as much as the early 2013 bubble. It HAS to end now. But then it keeps rising, way past that. Now coins are worth $13,500. Woah. What's up with that? That's way too much. It's gotta correct.

How time flies, beginning of the year bitcoin is just $700 then it reaches $19K, then it plummeted in $13K. That's the nature of this market. Very volatile and unpredictable. People cash out take profit and that's it. I guess by now you should understand how the market works and it will not go upward everything. Most of the time is will go on a sideward and downward trend.

You will hear people advising you to HOLD. Because of this very reason. HOLD and never sell because bitcoin is for long term investment. If you see prices going down and sell, then you will lose a  lot of potential profit in the future.
