1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many percent of internet users and overall people use bitcoin ? on: August 17, 2014, 03:45:21 PM
I think the actual number of people that use bitcoin is low compared to the number
that have heard about it but for whatever reason doesn't get involved. I think we have .01%
right? Not very many...

I think he have ~2 million users so if the value above is correct that would imply 0.03%.

So two million users? Does everyone agree with this number?

Also, the .03% is of active internet users? Is that correct?
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - 2n Gen. CryptoCurrency build from SCRATCH on NODE.JS - Brand NEW! on: August 17, 2014, 12:47:09 PM
Where I can trade NODE?

The community is aiming to trade node on bter.com!

You can vote here: https://bter.com/voting

I'm never gonna grade at bter again. They lost a lot of credibility during recent hack

https://nxtforum.org/news-and-announcements/three-solutions-proposed-by-bter-com-(200btc-deal-or-310btc-bounty-or-fork)/

https://nxtforum.org/news-and-announcements/forgers-have-been-faced-with-a-choice/

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740147.0

And I think it wasn't the first time. It might as well have been an inside job.

Better watch out for some quality exchange, develop your own fiat gateway or try to use nxt AE multigateway.

agreed bter is just as good as dead.

I'm curious.  Poloniex was hacked in March.  Why aren't they dead and why are people still using them?  Mintpal was hacked as well wasn't it?  So out of the remaining exchanges that NODE could get on, maybe Cryptsy or Bittrex (shit coin and pump and dump haven) could be used as most others seem to have no serious volume or simply wouldn't take a new coin.
IMO, the best trade way now is in the btt forum via escrow.

The forum BUY / SELL Thread

Another Update

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=740147.400

Looks like the thief returned most of what he stole for 440 BTC which is a VERY good deal for Bter. They got out rather cheap.

Looks like Bter will take a hit because people are aware of their lack of security and recklessness, but it looks like they will survive

What is the answer to this question now?

Does anyone know anywhere that actually keeps up with this information?

For those of you who aren't sure that they can trust each other:

I have 2 accounts from trustworthy members, that I trust, and have done business with before.

These are accounts that I will personally guarantee that there will be no surprise transfers of your nodes from the seller. If by some chance this would happen, I would refund your purchase personally.

If you are trying to cash in on those selling at bargain prices because the system is not working, and have faith that we will see Stakes valued at 2 to 4 BTC once the system is finalized, and in working order, this is the perfect investment for you.

These two stakes are being sold at a discount rate of .55 and .625 and you will be provided with the password upon payment.

Again, these come with my personal guarantee, and can be purchased now before the working client is available, and these discount prices will naturally go up with the progress of the client.

Contact me via PM, these two accounts will be sold on a first come first come basis.

Thank you!

This is from the Buy/Sell thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727745.msg8328535#msg8328535

There are other offers as well there, but as explained above you must have full faith and trust in the seller and you will be taking over their account and you have no way to change the password after the purchase.

It is Wednesday.
You were talking about things being fixed toward the end of the week. Can you give us an update as to when this coin will be working as we all want it too.

We are all behind you sillk, even though many of us are very frustrated.

Just tell us this will be fixed tomorrow or the next day. As you know we really care about NODE and right now things are not looking good.

Are the issues something that are giving you major problems, or are you well on your way to having a working client Thrusday or Friday?

We have faith in you sillk, give us a concrete update if you honestly can.

Is there a block explorer for nodecoin? Where is the trading thread? Why is the first page not up to date?

...
unfortunately our employee already sent coins

I have a question and a possible recommendation. Can this be done?

First keep a list of those that are having "Password issues" and since we are only running on one node right before final rollout do a patch that transfers all lost accounts to the new accounts. That way one quick wallet upgrade directly before the rollout wallet will set all the incorrect accounts straight.

He is the only one as far as I know. In one day, everyone came on to the thread and reported that they got in. So whatever the problem was, it was fixed. I know everyone thought is was a human error, and I know that was the most logical reason. But I was one of them, and one morning I tried my password and it worked, same morning as the few other people.

So there is hope for this guy. But if he is the only one, maybe he should try to mess around with his password a little and try to get it to work. I HATE to say this because I was so mad when everyone was blowing me off as someone who just couldn't handle storing his password correctly, but if there is only one person, it's hard to think it's the system. But, they did an update one night and you couldn't log in for awhile and the next morning it was working like magic.

I'm happy they fixed the issue.

That's one thing I'll say about this coin, they have had their different issues that's for sure, but they always deliver a solution that fixes the problem, or one that people can live with in the end

Please stop deleting your posts once you make a sale. Please just a take that few extra seconds to update it so others can see how the value is establishing itself. With the large majority holding their stake until the fiat integration, it would still be kind of us for them to be able to come here and see what value is being placed on a stake at this early stage or the coin/system

Thank  you

Each person can already choose what coin to invest in and follow now without your vision of centralization becoming a reality
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions to prevent scammers launch new shitcoins on: August 06, 2014, 10:40:28 AM
i think any rules goes against the whole idea behind crypto

Im surprized this site is doing such a great job other than a few annoying rules

I was on them a bit when they were talking shit about altcoins

There is good with bad, and central choices being made would sooner or later turn out to be a bigger disaster than the scan devs

People just need to stop supplying them with their money if you ask me
