1061  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's imagine you were the president of your country, How would your Economic on: June 22, 2023, 06:45:12 AM
Macro economy is really a big matter, even you have a great idea to reduce poverty, inflation etc, your idea will affect other sectors.

Yeah we can become a transparent and good president, but you shouldn't forget you have a chance to get death threat from someone who're like to play dirty games. Can you accept it? everyday getting a death threat and if you not have a strong mental, you will not able to stand up to fight against them.
1062  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 63$ Loan defaulted by [Rohan Kotkar] on: June 22, 2023, 06:29:11 AM
possibly he bought this account cheap and use short cut and messages discussion show that he has no intention of giving back.

in last two months if i am not wrong, more than 5 cases happened here. why not make some strong rules for giving loan such as active users for one year or Reputed member collateral?
The technique of buying an account to scam is nothing new, but I doubt this account was sold because there's no email or password change according to BPIP.

Not all users will active in Bitcointalk especially if they're not join a signature campaign. What did you mean about reputed member collateral? it's you ask an account as the collateral or you asking an escrow? well most of borrowers prefer non collateral loan and digital account isn't a valid collateral.

As I said previously, 2 positive feedback leaved on the borrower account is enough to convince the lender.
1063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a steady income haven on: June 21, 2023, 01:28:33 PM
Especially if you are new to gambling and have started to profit from gambling. Everything goes great once you start winning and that's exactly what casinos want. You increase your income and continue to gamble with higher balances. Because most people think that if they try gambling long enough, they'll make a big hit.
Do you mean we should gamble for few times, then withdraw all of the money and never comeback to the casino anymore?

Well you're not always making profit when you gamble for few times in the beginning, it's all about luck and there's no such winning set up for new gambler. There's a rule about minimum rollover, if you not met it you will get asked to submit KYC because the security flag your activity is suspicious.
1064  Economy / Speculation / Re: This year is dumping ground for bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 12:57:56 PM
Why people dumping their Bitcoin now if the price is still cheap? they were lose if they sell it now.

I don't believe about that, people should use this year to accumulate more Bitcoin and then sell during the bull season that might will happen on the next 2 years. However Bitcoin price right now hit $29K, you might miss the train if you not enter it now.
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Friendly Match is Hard to Predict on: June 21, 2023, 12:49:52 PM
Friendly matches are not very serious. Especially for the bigger teams. They use their reserve players most of them time so there will be no injury and fatigue on their squad. Friendly is an opportunity for coaches to try news things and experiment with their team. Odds doesn't really matter when it comes to friendly matches. But the bigger teams win more times than they draw or lose. Concluding that 70% of friendly matches end in a draw is not true. I agree that it can be disappointing at times though.
Yeah, draw sometime happens to on the professional matches.

Aside from betting on draw or underdog team, we can bet on over goals betting option because sometime there are many goals scored. This is rarely happen on the professional matches, only few matches in a season there are more than 5 goals scored.

Friendly match is a good way to turn an upset.
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Asset Or Currency? on: June 21, 2023, 12:30:46 PM
But given bitcoin's volatility, is it suitable for a store of value? I don't think bitcoin is suitable as a store of value, gold would be more suitable for this role. The value of bitcoin is very volatile, using bitcoin to store assets or save is not appropriate and too risky.
Then what's the main reason you buy Bitcoin?

Gold and other commodities price aren't that stable, you can check the price and you will see there was a dump during bad economy season. Bitcoin is also similar it's influenced with bad economy season, but there's 4 years cycle where the Bitcoin price will increase.

I believe most of people buy Bitcoin for investment which is a store of value, do you use Bitcoin as a currency?
1067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 20, 2023, 12:30:26 PM
When did Mbappe play in the centre-forward position? I had a look at like 7 or 8 games just right now and he either plays left wing or half-center forward together with Messi. I can't even remember when he played a centre-forward game, he usually prefers to attack from the left-wing anyway.
Yeah Mbappe never play as center forward, but even though he's play as left wing position, he's good in finishing, that's why center forward position looks better for him. If Kane replace Messi, there's could be an internal problem because both Kane and Mbappe will trying to beat each other which is not good. It would be like France national club where Benzema didn't play when Mbappe is playing.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 40 Twitch accounts for gambling advertising on: June 20, 2023, 12:23:35 PM
After successfully earn two merits by creating this thread , now you want to create a similar thread in order to earn merit, correct? Roll Eyes

Twitch has a rule to prohibit their streamers to stream gambling, I don't see any reason why anyone should know the top streamers who're stream gambling. Twitch isn't supporting them, so everyone who support those streamers are definitely don't care about terms of service, maybe this is why most people always complaint about KYC when they want to withdraw.
1069  Economy / Gambling / Re: NEW Flush.com Crypto Casino - ♠️ $BTC ♦️ $ETH ♣️ $DOGE ♥️ $LTC on: June 20, 2023, 06:55:31 AM
One thing with gambling sites is that,  once their lack the capacity of developing their original games they tend to rely on a long on other games vendors to supply their games and at most, the revenue is shared between the casino and games providers this has reduced the total revenue of the casino and that is why developing their own original games is better even though it may have immediate cost on the casino also requires some extra hands in terms of games developers.

But all the same, we can expect something huge from Flush,  since they have taken this long to come up with that and definitely it will be worth the wait.
There's nothing wrong to rely on other gambling providers because creating own original games has no guarantee there's a lot gamblers interested about that game, it's mean the casino just spend more money than the profit they earn. Most of original games are simple too, it's not really interesting to compared to gambling providers games.

If the gambling providers charge a lot revenue and it make the casino can't earn more money, the casino can just add requirement rollover, charge extra withdrawal fee etc.
1070  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Does ranking not guarantee post quality? on: June 20, 2023, 06:44:33 AM
You were right in there. Merits are not given to all great posts in the forum, so you can’t tell that those who have not been merited are completely making pointless discussion. Everyone has their own idea or concept on the given thread so I think there’s no right or wrong here. It’s just that some posts were favored by other members so they leave merits for them while some posts may still be good and reasonable but have not gained attention by most of the members.
It doesn't make sense if someone regularly make high quality posts and they not receive any merit, merit sources are everywhere in this forum, other people could just merit them or report it to this thread [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source.

But it's obviously ranking isn't the only one thing to judge someone post quality, a new newbie rank and low number of posts might be a good poster, but if there's a newbie rank with high number of posts e.g. 1000+ and he only receive 10 merits. It's obviously a spammer or shitposter.
1071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Example of change subject box on: June 20, 2023, 06:22:55 AM
It's not really change anything, it just mean you're reply to particular subject, but your post are still stay on the thread where you post.

Mine post is the example because I change the subject when reply in this thread.

AFAIK there's no punishment if you change your subject, but if you wrote someone personal information or death threat in your subject, it would definitely broke the forum rule.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: I don't believe you on: June 19, 2023, 02:06:24 PM
Indeed, exchanges do not force us to trust and deposit money in them, it is all about supply and demand. If the OP is just a holder, then he doesn't need to use centralized exchanges, no one forces him to do it, and he doesn't need to constantly talk bad about them either.

Everything is at risk, whether centralized or decentralized, so we need to worry and always have a backup plan. Even if our assets are kept in cold wallets, nothing is 100% guaranteed, so always be on the lookout for anything.
Everything has a risk, but the risk in cold wallet is come from the holder, there's no intervention from outside who's control your coins. Can you trust your money with someone you don't know who's him? if I promise your coins will be safe if you send it to me, would you trust me with all of your hard earned money?

Centralized exchange do force every users to trust them, they promise they have a very good security, their exchange is safe, their exchange is better than other etc.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling, investment, stocks..... on: June 19, 2023, 12:37:32 PM
If the casino is regulated and comply all of the rules, the casino can launch an Initial Public Offering where anyone who's interested to invest, has an option to buy the casino's stock. But crypto casino is only has Curacao license, it's really a weak regulation, not to mention many countries are unban and ban crypto whenever they want. This will be a problem if the crypto casino want to launch IPO, this will cause FUD for them.
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How the casino takes money from you with a deposit bonus on: June 19, 2023, 12:32:17 PM
In the end, if you think you can beat the casino through lucky based games, you're only dreaming. Before the casino launch the welcome bonus, they have calculated it and make sure most of the gamblers will lose, if they're giving welcome bonus in order to make the gamblers win, they will going to bankrupt ASAP.

It's not about deposit bonus, but wager contest, rakeback, etc something involved in lucky based games aren't ways to beat the house.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 19, 2023, 11:28:09 AM
Nope, I wouldn't become aggressive if someone define me as an addicted gambler. I will ask him or them for few questions and reasons why they said I'm an addict, I will going to debate with him or them and if I lose, I will admit if I was an addict.

But the way I control myself of how much I spent for gambling, how long I gamble, and how I view gambling, are far than can be said as an addict which is looks unbelievable if someone say I'm an addict.
1076  Economy / Reputation / Re: Does The Spammer Tag From actmyname Stick Forever? on: June 19, 2023, 07:26:41 AM
but I was disappointed that actmyname didn't take the time to check whether what was tagged had changed or not.
You should check the thread before, previously he tagged 460 users but currently there are only 413 users which mean he has at least removed 47 users from the list.

It is just a neutral tag, not red tag.
Stop generalizing it's just a neutral tag, if you get tagged with him, I believe your chance to get accepted into signature campaign is lower than other users. Not to mention few campaign managers will kick you immediately after you get tagged.

But I still see people have that tag and they have good posts.
I mean, you're not the one who get tagged, they must be aware of the tag and they're trying to get rid off from it, if they don't care, it's their choice.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what is the solution to traffic congestion on the bitcoin network? on: June 18, 2023, 12:54:35 PM
Actually this problem is not easy especially since the adoption of Bitcoin has not reached the global level, at that time when we get global adoption this will be a big dilemma and we will need real quick solutions.
Before Bitcoin reached the true global adoption, there's a progress behind that and many people will talk about the high fees in Bitcoin. There's will be a solution about that if there's no change or movement after few months. Previously BRC-20 tokens make the Bitcoin price high for around 1-2 weeks, it's still short.

The latest development on Bitcoin chain e.g. taproot seems not make any big change compared to segwit, sooner or later L2 chain would be the easiest solution.
1078  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 18, 2023, 10:28:42 AM
You create an accusation against other casino when the problem because of yourself for not read the whole terms before make a deposit to get the bonus Just got scammed by Trustdice.win stay away and before than that, you're selling 3 verified Binance accounts and Binance has a terms for one person use one account, do you consider you're legit person?

1079  Economy / Reputation / Re: rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 02:36:28 PM
Helena, The first thing you need to accept is that you don't take things like this too personally.

Although the trust lists are public and everyone can see them, it is still some kind of personal opinion of each member. For some reason, rby felt that your opinion did not match his understanding, so he decided to put you on his distrust list. What is a solid reason for you, does not have to be the same for me or rby, or any member here.
I didn't taking any personal, no hard feelings, I always try to become objective. Example in this case where I leave a neutral feedback because there's no solid evidence even though there are DT members were leave negative feedback.

"Personal opinion of each other", I don't think it's correct when you distrust someone because of your disagreement, put on ignore list could be an option.

I just presented how JollyGood, with his trust list, explains to all the dissenters why he gave them a tilde. Smiley
OP, no one owes you anything. A person can put a tilde sign for any action, maybe rby does not want to trust you without any explanation, especially in public. And this is a better action than leaving reviews, which are sometimes without reason. Just accept the rule that you can't be loved by everyone.
JollyGood is an exception because he have contributed a lot, just like other controversial DT members.

If he don't want to trust me, it should be in the middle of trust and distrust which is neutral, if he distrust me that's mean he not trust everything I do in this forum. It's true any user can leave any feedback, include exclude someone in their trustlist, create flag etc, but everyone are always stick with this rule LoyceV's Beginners guide to correct use of the Trust system

Do's and Don'ts
  • Don't exclude users from your Trust list based on retaliation. It's okay to trust someone's judgement, even when he doesn't trust yours.
1080  Economy / Reputation / rby distrust me without any reason on: June 11, 2023, 10:06:55 AM
I distrust him because he give a positive feedback to bbigtart who was previously busted someone wearing double signature. Firstly he didn't give a positive feedback, but the first one is robelneo, I suggest him to change his positive feedback to neutral feedback, but after few posts I realized rby sent a positive feedback to and disagree with my point.

But two weeks later someone busted bbigtart was using AI to post, this make robelneo delete his positive feedback and rby change his positive feedback to neutral feedback.

I remember someone warned both of us, but we still proceeded to hand the positive feedback to the user for bursting scam Grin
I didn't delete my positive feedback, rather I turned it to neutral while being able to capture the AI writing as a reason to change feedback from positive to neutral.

I don't to be hard on my trust list, but I just want to wait for few months to see their progress either they will start to change their habit to leave a positive feedback to a worthy user or not. That's why I not exclude them when they already delete/change their positive feedback before.

Now the funny thing rby distrust me, without any solid reason!

~Helena Yu's judgement is Distrusted by:
1. NEW rby (Trust: neutral) (336 Merit earned) (Trust list) (BPIP)

He didn't reach my PM to talk about the reason I distrust him, so I'd better to open a new thread and explain it here.

Did I distrust or trust wrong user? did I leave an inappropriate feedback or flag? did I support or oppose a flag? show me.

This is retaliation distrust, can this be said as abuse of trust list?
