1061  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: From today; 28.02.2024 - How low do you think the coming BTC dip will be..?? on: March 01, 2024, 10:01:23 AM

But why think of the dip if we're not yet on the bear market?

There's still a long way to go for this bullish market to thrive so enjoy every phase of it.

My thoughts too, why worry about the dip or how low it'll go when we're not entering the bear run yet, there's so much to look forward to in this bull run that's building up. Along the way to Bitcoin price pump to it's estimated $100k and above mark, I know that there can be some minor dips along the way, but it'll not affect it's journey to reaching a new ATH before we'll start thinking of when a major dip will occur. When the dip eventually occurs after the bull season, if it hits $100k and above, then I don't see price dumping bellow $40k in bear run.
1062  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Imprisonment on LGBTQ on victim your thought on: March 01, 2024, 08:24:07 AM
It's no longer news that Africa have been condemning the practice of LGBTQ over the years but have not sanction defaulter, I was reading the news  l saw one Africa country parliament passing bills to purnish any who is victim to LGBTQ.
This this thrilled my mind to discuss this in the board if the government is doing the right thing based on Africa way if believe and practice or taken wrong direction. You can read through this link for more information
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/2/28/ghanas-parliament-passes-anti-lgbtq-bill

Government decision is based on the yearnings and aspirations of the people. These anti-gay laws were approved by the legislatures which are the representatives of the citizens which means the majority of the people support the crackdown on the gay community. For me I will want people to live freely as they like, sadly this is not the case. I will advise the gay community to move to more friendly nations or consider going through reparative therapy. These nations that are promoting gay practice should open up their borders to accept these people to shield them from persecution.

If the vast majority of citizens in a country doesn't support a practice, then the few minority that supports it will be seen as outcasts, so the solution for LGBTQ community that lives in a country where they are a small minority and are persecuted is to seek asylum in friendly countries that accepts their way of life. Modernization has allowed people to be what they want to be and if their country cannot guarantee this, then the best option is to leave the country.

I personally don't like or encourage LGBTQ practice or lifestyle, but I must respect them and their decisions, because we're free to make our own choices in life and live with it.
1063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin Mistakes?? on: March 01, 2024, 07:18:47 AM
Being new to the world of digital finance,  I think a great way to start and excel is by gathering information from the experienced here, on the biggest mistakes you have made, and things to do and avoid. I really think that'd be a big plus for an upcoming investor like myself.

I'll start with the biggest mistake I've ever made regarding crypto, that is being skeptical by not being one of the early investors in Bitcoin, I was told about it but just like many people I thought that it was a scam.

Don't hodle your crypto coins in centralized exchanges, because they can be hacked and you'd lose your funds, it's said that if it's not your keys, it's not your coins, the safest place to hodle your crypto coins is in a none custodial wallet.

All that glitters is not gold, there are more scam projects than legit ones in the crypto market, so carry out a thorough research before investing in any crypto coin, I can only advice you to start with a reputable crypto like Bitcoin.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your expectations on ICE Network in the future? on: March 01, 2024, 06:17:38 AM

It's a good choice if you can hold up your investment for almost the end of this year or maybe a half year more. But if you're looking for short term profits it can be a very good option if you're skills are upto the mark and you know how to take the profits out but due to its volatility it's very risky too.

ICE Network is a very risky project. I saw news about them spread a lot in crypto groups and several news media. They succeeded in attracting investor interest with the offers they provided. But I agree with what you said. I think Ice network is not suitable if you are a long-term holder. These projects are very volatile and to be honest I haven't seen any fundamentals or real use cases for them. Is this project the same as Pi Network??

I pertcipatad in their mobile mining app when they just started, at a time, due to other engagements, I got bored clicking the ice, anyway I'm for those that perceverared and got their airdrop rewards. I presently don't have the interest to invest in their token, my primary interest now is to continue accumulating and hodlng my long term project, which is Bitcoin. As far as Ice, goes, I believe that it can be profitable in the short term that we're entering bull season, just like other advertised projects.
1065  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Law of gravity no de apply for di prices of goods inside Nigeria on: February 29, 2024, 04:25:55 PM
Due to di recent revelations wey CBN de unravel now about how plenty illegal money take de stash and pass through Binance, and I come see one report wey dem list some bank owners and some respected entrepreneurs, say dem de collect money for CBN and dem go default payment. I de reason say na dis latest developments na im make naira come gain small value, e bin de get out of hand to reach about 2000 naira to 1 US dollar, but as e be now, di exchange rate don drop to approximately 1400 naira to 1 US dollar.

If CBN put dem acts together and we come begin to see naira appreciation, meaning say our currency go begin gain value, dat one go be good news for most Nigerians.

How di naira to dollar matter take concern dis thread be say, normal normal if any currency begin appreciate, e suppose cause di prices of goods and services to de come down. But with my experience for dis country as a Nigerian, anytime wey prices go up, e no de fit to come down, even if di price go come down na insignificant money dem go comot. So if naira continue to appreciate, you think say e go make prices of goods to de reduce?
1066  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Just hodl, bitcoin will do the silencing. on: February 29, 2024, 01:22:49 PM
It's said that success is everybody's father, but failure is a bastard, meaning that everybody wants to affiliate themselves with success, while nobody wants to associate with failures, this is what is happening in the case of Bitcoin, now that it's value is fast rising many people who where skeptical about it in the bast are now adopting it.

The president of El Salvador, Bukele, is now seen as a hero, because the asset that he invested his country's money in, is now yielding profit for them, so his critics are now quiet, I hope that other countries, corporations, companies and individuals, will learn something from this president and trust Bitcoin to be the asset that it's value will keep increasing and being more profitable in the future.
1067  Economy / Economics / Re: Murphy backing gold standard bill on: February 29, 2024, 12:32:11 PM
The idea of using gold to pay for goods and services sounds very interesting, unfortunately we can't carry it around in our pockets, also holding it's ATM that you can use to make purchases is equally interesting. For it's usage to be effective, it has to be widely used and accepted by both buyers and sellers, and I guess that'll be possible if governments adopt it as an alternative means of payments in their countries, that it can be widely used by people in their country. For instance Bitcoin that it's adoption is increasing everyday is rarely used for payments, it's basically to hodle for investment purposes, so for both Bitcoin or gold currencies to be effectively used to pay for goods and services, in a country, it's government will have to adopt either of them first.
1068  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Future of Gambling on: February 29, 2024, 11:04:33 AM
Technology is revolutionizing everyday and developers are at work being innovative to bring new updates to their existing achievements, I'm expecting technology to keep bringing new experiences to the gambling industry. The future of modern gambling has already started, when you can gamble in the comfort of your home, and I believe that the innovation has increased the number of people that gambles now, catering for people who don't have the time to visit casinos or don't want to be seen entering a casino. At this point I believe that the future of modern gambling is very bright, because of the continuously added convenience through technological means, but let us not forget about the traditional physical method of gambling, it's fun interacting with people physically while gambling.
1069  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Does it feel to be Balls Deep in altcoin, when only bitcoin is rising? on: February 29, 2024, 10:02:20 AM
I believe that altcoins will have their day soon, Bitcoin is the pacesetter, and as it's price is massively pumping now, the development will encourage investors to diversify their interests in altcoins, which will increase their demands thereby making their prices to start experiencing steady pump. This theory doesn't apply to the whole altcoins, every investor have to carry out research before deciding on the project that they think can have bull run alongside Bitcoin. A lot of scam projects can pump on a very short term, then they'll vanish with investors funds, so due diligence is required to invest in altcoins, otherwise it's safer to stay with Bitcoin, especially in this bull season.
1070  Other / Politics & Society / Re: You don't like the world you live ? Then change it on: February 29, 2024, 09:00:17 AM
It's not easy for one person to change the world, but we can change our perspective and see things from different angles and not be judgemental, so in essence we can be the change that we want to see. It's good to build a positive mindset and work towards making the world a better place by your actions, you don't have to make impact in the whole world, but in your little space, like in the family, with friends, in your community, let people see your good deeds and identify you as a good person. I believe that people are remembered by their good deeds than the amount of money that they made in their lifetime, let us promote love and be our brother's keeper.
1071  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitForex halts withdrawals, stops responding to users after $56.M was moved on: February 29, 2024, 08:11:46 AM
This news doesn't come as a surprise to me, because right from my newbie days in the crypto space, many experienced people have been warning me about trusting centralized exchanges, that keeping your coins in them is very risky. Although I wasn't familiar with this bitforex exchange, it definitely had a good reputation with it's customers, now they can't access their funds, so this goes to proof again that we shouldn't trust any exchange, no matter how big they are and the reputations that they've attained. We don't even know if the exchange was hacked or if it was an inside scam, but the evergreen lesson to learn from this incident is to always remember that "not your keys, not your coins", it's best to keep your coins in your none custodial wallet.

1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Exchange Tokens Are You Watching in the 2024 Bull Run? on: February 29, 2024, 06:50:13 AM
The agreement so far in this thread is unanimous, aside from BNB being an exchange token of Binance, which is the undisputed number one exchange, BNB is also one of the trusted top altcoins that we know. As far as crypto coins go, BNB will still remain relevant and reputable, thanks to it's affiliate with Binance, although I'm not holding it, I however see it worth investing in for this bull run. I wouldn't give preference to exchange tokens, I'll go for any that I feel will give me returns on investment, in the bull season.
1074  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Closing in on 60k, Again! on: February 28, 2024, 08:35:03 PM
Bitcoin steady pump to $60k is very impressive, I'm quite sure that it's current price has surpassed what many observers predicted before this coming halving, although I hope that it's steady rise will not make us to see a premature ATH before the end of this year. Bitcoin adoption is geometrically increasing since the awareness of it's bull run, more people now know how profitable it is to invest in it now. I know many people who were skeptical about Bitcoin, and how they're now hodling it because they heard how profitable it is. I'm optimistic that by the time we reach ATH, that it'll have doubled it's current price, so keep accumulating and hodle till then.
1075  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: $26bn passed through Binance from... on: February 28, 2024, 07:48:51 PM
This money does not belong to government,  this money belongs to common Nigerians that are looking for a way to survive
Nigerians mostly uses payment processors before, but CBN banned bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. We moved to P2P and Nigerians will not label the bank transaction as cryptocurrencies. CBN unban cryptocurrencies but Nigerians still prefer P2P. What did he mean? That the money (naira) in the bank used to buy bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not legit? I am disappointed that CBN can say they can not adequately identified the money (naira) that passed through Binance.

Di news tire me wen I read am, CBN governor just de put blame for wetin no concern matter, where I read reach, dem no give any details to prove say na money laundering de pass through Binance or na there government people de stash dem stolen funds. I expect CBN to first carry out dem research first, to know weda di money wey de enter Binance na people own wey de do legitimate businesses or na di ones of corrupt government officials, so as dem de give report na so dem go de back am up with prove say na stolen funds.

Anyway if dem no see where to hold hand na so dem go come de tackle crypto matter, afterall Binance de centralized with customer KYC so make dem give names of people wey de do illegitimate runs for Binance and leave legitimate people alone.
1076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Soaring Heights and the Unpredictable Journey Ahead on: February 28, 2024, 07:16:37 PM
Don't only treat Bitcoin as a price indicator, also invest in it, because over the years since it's creation, it has proven to be the most reputable crypto coin, and with it's increasing adoption has proved that it's value will keep increasing as the years goes by. I believe that Bitcoin has taken care of any fear of the risk of turning to shitcoin or dip to the price of it's early days, because it's decentralized and it's the forces of supply and demand that determines it's bull and bear seasons, and as more people are adopting it the value will keep increasing, therefore we should expect the price to keep reaching a new ATH during it's bull runs. Bitcoin is the best digital asset that anybody can invest in.
1077  Economy / Economics / Re: Opportunities During Economic Downturns? on: February 28, 2024, 01:15:00 PM
Despite these challenges, do you think there are still opportunities during economic downturns?

During economic downturn, people must become creative inorder to survive, because businesses will be affected and the prices of goods will skyrocket, a lot of desperation will set in just to find means to put food on the table and live in affordable accomodations. Smart people will think outside the box, they'll either get a second job or learn a skill, inorder to earn more money to survive inflation, also they'll learn to get things done by themselves, what they'll ordinarily call a professional to do for them, so they'll save money. Don't also forget that it's a time when crime rate will increase, scammers, petty thieves, armed robbery, kidnapping and the rest, people will live in fear and worry. This is not fiction, citizens of many countries who's economy are not stable are experiencing these things.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are not to gamble. on: February 28, 2024, 12:14:38 PM
You can add these two:

When you win little, do not gamble on that day again. But some gamblers will feel like they should continue to gamble and they will lose at the end of the day.

When you are addicted. Quit gambling for a long time.

You and the OP have really provided the best scenerio on when to quit gambling for the day and when not to gamble at all, the OP emphasized on what not to do during loses and you're emphasizing on what not to do after winnings, your advices are a complete synergy on what not to do as a responsible gambler.

Chasing loses is very dangerous because in the process you can become desperate and lose the remaining money that's left with you, also when you need money urgently that's the time you shouldn't gamble because there's no guarantee of winnings. Also when you win, it's better not to be greedy and start gambling with your win, inorder to win more, because you can lose that winning.

What I'll add is what you've always said in gambling and in crypto trading, that you should gamble/trade with the amount that you can afford to loose.
1079  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading is perfect work for jobless peoples on: February 28, 2024, 11:15:42 AM
Trading is hard and it's risky too, so it's not advisable to have it as an only source of income, because it's not like your regular 8am to 5pm job, where you're sure that at the end of the week or month, that your income is guaranteed. It's dangerous to depend on only crypto trading to make money and take care of your responsibilities, because there's no guarantee that your trade will always be profitable, so if loses starts to occur, there's no how to pay your bills, besides it seems that most traders experiences more loses than profits. So it's better to have another steady source of income, and let the trading to be an alternative source of income, remember to trade with the amount that you can afford to loose.
1080  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Weapons sent to Ukraine are ending up in the hands of Mexican cartels on: February 28, 2024, 09:42:34 AM
It could be that these mexican cartels have some source inside that creates deals with them. They need weapons and where better else to get it than the US government themselves, right?

I reason with what you said, since there's no concrete evidence that the Mexican drug cartels gets these weapon supplies from the ones that are intended for Ukraine, then it can be from any other sources, and why go across to another continent to get weapons when they can easily negotiate with their partners in crime and get it from next door for manufacturer country, which is the US. If there's no evidence to proof that the weapons are the ones that are Ukraine, bound, then I'll say that the claim is politically motivated, perhaps a Russian, propaganda to discredit the US, supply of weapons to Ukraine.
