The Russian news agency TASS reports that some of the weapons sent by Western nations to help Ukraine’s war efforts have ended up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels and Middle East terrorist groups.

This is according to a source in law enforcement, who said: "The weapons that are being provided to the Ukrainian armed forces have already been found in the possession of Mexican cartels and Hamas.”

They added that this is compromising the trust between Western nations and Kiev, noting: "Western countries have now increased anti-corruption controls related to weapons supplies."

Last year, reports emerged that Mexican cartels had been using Ukraine-sourced weapons, with a video claiming to show a Mexican cartel member with an American-made FGM-148 Javelin portable anti-tank missile launcher.

At the time, presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy tweeted: "...US military weapons that we sent to *Ukraine*, including Javelin anti-tank missiles & missile launchers, are ending up in the hands of Mexican drug cartels south of our border. This is an embarrassment..."

Some experts debunked those reports, and the company itself said the weapon in question was not a Javelin.

However, the new report from TASS is bringing these concerns back to the forefront. From the moment the U.S. and NATO allies agreed to supply weapons and ammunition to Ukraine when the Russian conflict broke out, concerns have been raised that they could end up in the wrong hands, and as more time passes, the likelihood grows that they could have made their way to drug cartels, criminals and terrorist groups around the world.

Some have suggested the new report is Russian propaganda, but it is worth noting that weapons ending up in the hands of Mexican cartels is a very real concern and something that has been happening with increasing frequency.

They only reason I can think of, would be some of those weapons being specially modified or manufactured to counter heavy plates of armor (like those who used in Russian artillery), and Cartel druglords could use them to take down armed vehicles used by the Mexican government or even military choppers. Still sounds unnecessary to me, the cartels already have bazookas in their arsenal and even missile-propelled grenades.

I quite doubt (in the case those weapons are indeed being irresponsible shipped and sold away to organizations/countries which were never supposed to have them) the United States or Ukraine would not be called out by Israel if those weapons ended up in the hands of such regional adversary like Iran. If that was going on the Israel Intelligence community would alert the CIA and the pentagon about it so they can correct their actions. And knowing how supportive the United States is of Israel in the defense of their territory against hostile neighbors, that request for correction won't be denied.
Even cartels getting their hands on those weapons are unlikely enough, but it is more probable than Iran managing to do it. Also, Iran is a country (unlike cartels) if they have nuclear capabilities, then developing modern weapons for their infantry should not be as difficult as we assume.

I am not against the international community to have checks and balances on the weapons being manufactured and distributed, it is a good idea regardless where they are made and regardless who the final destiny of them is supposed to be.

Formal country borders don't indicate the government. Campeche State in Mexico is governed by a cartel. And it is governed better than the Mexican government could do it. As long as a person acts peacefully in Campeche, the cartel protects him.

It's like this all over the world. For example. Look at a good, current map of areas around the Black Sea. The map shows countries like Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, etc. However, the maps don't always show the divisions of the people who live in these lands. Often the peoples maintain their ancient borders even though their formal governments try to change the mindset of the people.

Too bad the F-16's didn't get sent earlier. It would show us which countries of the world are really stupid. How? No country that bought them, especially second hand, has any trained people to use them. It would be a big waste for them. Of course, maybe they would have a different use for them than to fly them . It could be that these mexican cartels have some source inside that creates deals with them. They need weapons and where better else to get it than the US government themselves, right?

If this is indeed true then it’s disappointing and incredibly incompetent of the government. Ukraine needs help and instead the help being sent out to is being used for more illegal and inhumane activities. I reason with what you said, since there's no concrete evidence that the Mexican drug cartels gets these weapon supplies from the ones that are intended for Ukraine, then it can be from any other sources, and why go across to another continent to get weapons when they can easily negotiate with their partners in crime and get it from next door for manufacturer country, which is the US. If there's no evidence to proof that the weapons are the ones that are Ukraine, bound, then I'll say that the claim is politically motivated, perhaps a Russian, propaganda to discredit the US, supply of weapons to Ukraine.

While this is true, it has intentionally been set up for them (Ukrainian crooks) by the US crooks in the US military, Congress, The Presidency, and other US and wealthy world interests... and especially the Federal Reserve Bank owners. To be fair, anyone who has some mixture of ideology or personal ideas about what the government is supposed to be or supposed to do would need to think a bit before coming up with answers to that kind of questions. The difficulty for someone like him in this case is the fact he believes in freedom or the right of all citizens of the United States to mind their own business (which is a pro-Bitcoin value) while at the same time he likes Trump as a candidate ( who is a wannabe authoritarian Leader, who cheers to leaders like Vladimir Putin and Kim). When those kinds of opposing or contradicting ideas find one another to collide, the brain naturally ignores the contradiction or find invalid reasoning not to suffer from it.
People who love animals and are not vegetarian do not think about where their beef comes from, they ignore it on purpose to be happier.

Though, if I had to bet 0.00001BTC on what is more important to him, I would definitely say Trump getting elected is more important for BaDecker.
