1065  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: December 09, 2023, 03:24:43 PM
Op, seeing that bitcoin has started rising, why not just invest in the bitcoin rather than looking for altcoin to invest in for short term, besides bitcoin can also be used for short term investment. When you compare the risk of investing in altcoin to investing in bitcoin you see that, is better to make investment in bitcoin first, there is a saying that we shouldn't  keep all our eggs in one basket, and that I always like encouraging other to have a good looking portfolio in bitcoin first before thinking of diverting to make investment in other altcoins. Reason I say so is, price of most altcoin are tired to that of bitcoin and If you've watched the market, you see what am talking about, so instead of investing in those coin why not channel majority  of the money to Bitcoin.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $20,000 to invest in any Altcoins of your choice? on: December 09, 2023, 03:13:47 PM
Op thinking of use such a huge sum of money to invest in altcoin is an unthinkable risk, most especially in times like this were we have so many scam projects that looks promising but at the end it'll crash to price zero. If you're asking for financial advice I'll suggest just one percent of $20,000 which will be $200 should be used for altcoin investment while the remaining $19,800 should be used to buy bitcoin, even if it's not up to one bitcoin, it's a very good start in your accumulation journey. Beside the bull run is just by the corner and would be visiting us soon, so now is the best time to make a very good looking bitcoin portfolio, so you'll be expecting a much greater profit. This upcoming bull run might lead bitcoin to the new ATH, and just imagine you having up to 70% or 80% profit.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto to buy for 2024 ? on: December 09, 2023, 02:39:19 PM
If you want to invest in cryptocurrency safely and definitely give you a profit, then I advise you to invest in Bitcoin, because Bitcoin will remain the king of cryptocurrency for forever and the price of Bitcoin will definitely increase very high, so by investing in Bitcoin, then you will definitely get a lot of profit and I am sure that if the next bullrun happens, then the price of Bitcoin will definitely reach at least $100k.

Well said sir, you have just spoken my mind. Why think of cryptocurrency to invest in when we have the first and the original coin, Bitcoin would continue to wear it's crown without having any second best or socessor. Left for me alone, the price movement  of Bitcoin shows upward tend and that is enough for me to risk all my money for investment into it, despite the risk associated in bitcoin investment due to valatility, that other crypto and altcoins are even more worse than bitcoin, the valatility of altcoins is what makes them good for short term holding or trading. But if you stick to Bitcoin for long term holding, I assure you that, you'll not regret your actions.
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is right time for investment ? on: December 09, 2023, 10:55:52 AM
if you are already DYOR and sure about this project, then you may invest in the project, because the most important thing is that we are sure of what we will invest, but my advice is that you should use money that you are ready to lose, because investing in a new project is definitely has a big risk, but if the project you invest in is successful, then you will definitely get a big profit too, therefore if you are sure, then there is nothing wrong if you invest in the project, because maybe you can get a big profit from investing in this project.

To be honest, I'm not sure there is any money worth losing most especially when we talk about crypto currency investment, because the higher you buy the more the profit or loss and most times, I see people creating post like using $500 to invest in altcoin. I believe before you invest in any coin you should have read the white paper and do some search about the coin to find any trace of scam, or if it's a scam project, Or else you are just a gambler who is using crypto to cover up. I have seen lots of investors who follow after trend without taking caution, though most times they tend to come successfully. So if you are sure of the crypto you want to invest in, go ahead, after all you are the one responsible for your risks and profits.

1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: There is fear in the market, isn't it time to buy? on: December 09, 2023, 10:35:05 AM
Indeed what you guys experience back there was something too tragic to explain, by then I have not started my crypto accumulation journey, I can't even imagine the feeling of seeing your precious coin going back to the trenches, but however the market now seems to be regaining strength and heading towards a new ATH hopefully when e get to the bull run. However those who kept believing and never sold their coins, would still be proud of holding strong, and I admire such persons for their patient, no wonder they say crypto is for long term holders, because if you sell now, the price might not go back to that previous on again because the market seem to be going up when we zoom out.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waiting patiently for the next bull run... on: December 09, 2023, 08:21:38 AM
Meer looking at the topic, I was expecting so see something different, like listing some top coins that would also make a great increase, but the op just gave me one of the greatest surprise of listing some meme coins. Meme coins aren't that bad when it comes to profit but we focus more on trust rather than just profit, buying just meme coins and you think you're prepared for the bull run is just the same as gambling in a casino, mixing some meme coins with top and trusted coins like Bitcoin would have been the best option. Anyway it's your decision to make, and your risk to tolerate.
1072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: December 09, 2023, 08:11:11 AM
because nowadays it is not because Lowcap , instead
because it is trustworthy and has a true future , and not those BS scam project that pretended to be lowcap just to fool investors.

Well spoken mate, the major thing in this crypto market is trust, so those altcoin investors who take enough risk to buy lowcap coin are gamblers to me because, anything can happen at any given time, so as anyone is planning to adopt a lowcap coin because of profit, he should also note that what he is doing is gambling with his money. Beside the major influence in the crypto market today is trend, whenever a coin trends enough investors will shift their interest to that coin irrespective of the price. But I don't follow trend nor the media hype on coins because it's risky and might just be the bunny trap for you.
1073  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Naija Novice Hangout {Newbies introduction & Orientation} Thread. on: December 09, 2023, 07:57:58 AM
Nigerian newbies una welcome, the thing dey give me joy say I dey more people dey enter this our local board on a daily, na good sign say our local board dey grow and before you'll know it we don reach most active local board. 1074  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I need clarification regarding this. on: December 09, 2023, 07:40:20 AM
You no say as we country dy so, wetin dy worry most of us naija citizens be say we no know our right, even though you no your right, if you no know anybody, corrupt police officers go wan use us shine.

Sometimes make we just avoid this right talk and just do wattin we suppose do to avoid the problem, because even the right wey you dey talk about you still dey pay money for am. Make I explained just imagine say as em dey press phone dey waka then Nigerian police come stop am say wattin em dey do dey illegal without Dem having full knowledge say e nor dey illegal, if you say you wan fight for your right for that place na with evidence you go take fight am, so you come still gats call your lawyer wey be say after em don finish you go still find am something wey fit high pass the 2k wey the police Dem need for that spot. If you follow the police talk anyhow now, before you go know Dem go gum you charge come carry you go station. Bail is free, no be for Nigeria oo.

Police dey collect money for road for the hand of drivers, but how many person you don hear say dey talk about their right or tell the police their real work for road?
1075  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Imagine wetin we fit use BITCOIN do on: December 09, 2023, 07:26:18 AM
Normally if we don reach that level to dey use Bitcoin take dey pay things like house rent and other stuff e go sweet well well, but e get wattin been dey go through my mind but I don get answer to am, the thing na be say, what if as you don receive Bitcoin for things wey you dey sell and e don reach to go market go buy another one, and as you reach the market, due to the volatility of Bitcoin the price come com down for that short interval, and the buyer come experience small loss for price how em go come do since e calculate emself before e reach the market? But wattin I get as answer na be say, if you wan dey accept Bitcoin for your business, you gats keep more than the amount so that should Incase the price come down for that short period of time to go still fit do wattin you wan do successfully. But Bitcoin na more of upward direction e dey face.
1076  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: How do we measure crypto adoption within our country. on: December 08, 2023, 11:55:29 PM
Op if you ask me I go say you don already carry your mouth answer the question wey you carry come oo, because like this na from centralized exchange naim dem take dey measure the adoption of cryptocurrency for each country or nation. So like this now, the data wey the exchange dey get naim dem dey take package these country adoption rate. But wattin dey shock me pass na be say that information wey  dem give there fit nor dey correct,l. Because na only for exchange Dem fit extract data, how about some person wey dey use nor wallet wey nor require any personal information, and na only dem wey register the wallet naim know their password.

I believe say many of those foreigners dey use normal segwit wallet so for Dem to get their details, to publish am go dey very hard. Anyway before making deposit for most wallet apps, some apps nor dey allow direct buying of crypto unless say dem use exchange take buy am, then try to send am go their wallet.

I still leave the floor very open for our superiors them, abeg make una shock mouth.
1077  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Altcointalk forum go be our second online home? on: December 08, 2023, 11:35:10 PM
Omor, op thank you for bringing this kind of update come this board today oo, when I click the link, the interface of the forum wan be like Bitcointalk own, so I believe say if person wan really use that forum e nor go too hard before we go understand everything wey concern am. And I thing wey still sweet my belle na when I scrol go down come still go find the Nigerian local board, and I still see some of this forum members wey dey there, and some of them don turn boss. But when I observe closely I come see say dem write teleport for some people account, abeg e get anybody wey know the work of that teleport or how Dem take dey run am? Abeg if you get the update make you no forget to share, e go really dey very helpful for the boys.
1078  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: I need clarification regarding this. on: December 08, 2023, 10:24:10 PM
Op first of all, I go like clear you say them no ban crypto for Nigeria oo, but dem just add restriction so that we no go fit access am through our normal fiat bank. ie we no go fit use bank take make deposit to any crypto site or platform, like exchange or wallet, so if you try to use your ATM debit card to take make this transaction e go work, and your bank sef fit even froze your account for attempting, so that CBN no go withdraw license from dem or sue dem to court.

Then concerning this Bitcoin matter or other crypto related stuff for Niger. All of us know the know our kpokpo dey behave, once dem find out say u don do small thing wey dey somehow faulty, dem go just carry charge take gum you, but las las na money go end the whole issue. so as you dey waka, you no suppose dey press your phone sef, talk more of say na crypto matter naim make you dey press am. Because crypto journey na very anonymous one, so we no suppose do wattin go make that matter gbolo.

It's just so painful knowing that someone who was active here in this forum 6days ago is no more, I'm short of words to say but, we'll miss you Mr Light_warrior. The feeling of losing someone precious is just so not acceptable at first, I can't even imagine what the family is going through right now, especially his lovely daughter. Indeed his contribution to this forum was noticeable, proving that he was indeed a legend that would be remembered. RIP Light_warrior

Ones again, my condolence to his family.
1080  Economy / Reputation / Re: Light_warrior / Memorial thread ... 🕯️ on: December 08, 2023, 04:47:11 PM
Rest on hero, I joined this forum at the beginning of the second half of the year, though I did not have any discussion with Mr light_warrior but when I checked the meta board, I could see that he was among the first set of persons who helped fought against plagiarism, spam post and scam in this forum. Indeed he has served well in this forum as a good contributor, though I didn't have the opportunity to say thank you to him for keeping the forum in a good shape, but anyway wherever your soul is, thank you Mr light_warrior.

My condolence to the family of light_warrior.
