If someone has made a loss in buying and selling Ethereum, what is your suggestion? Should he\she hold Ethereum?
Is it possible for the price to reach $2300 before Christmas?

We've seen the price of Ethereum already hit $2400 and that's before Christmas. But I believe that with Christmas coming up, the price of Bitcoin and many other coins, including Ethereum, is likely to increase more. ETH is a reliable coin to HODL for the future and can offer high returns. And the value of this coin certainly I think has the potential to touch $3000 before Christmas if it continues to get higher. However, as the current market conditions show that all coins are trending higher and trending towards this or that position, holding Ethereum will give you a profit.

Certainly, we are again witnessing positive sentiment in cryptocurrencies after the correction of three consecutive days started on Monday when market opened after weekend. This correction dragged Bitcoin price down to around $40,000 and Ethereum price dropped to $2,100. Today Ethereum price is trading $2,280 and if weekly candle closes in green, we might see Santa Clause rally (Christmas) in the coming week. This potential upward trend  might continue for one week before traders usually book profit just before Christmas and new year holidays.

It is possible that we may see another correction, we must not forget that during December people spend more money than usual and they may be in need of money at the time, and if they have some money invested in good coins like ethereum then they may sell some of their holdings so they can afford all of those expenses, something which could cause a small decrease on the demand and the price may drop as a result of those market conditions.

sometime it might be corrections occurring when we are nearing the christmas but then again we can't be so sure of it but in my opinion don't have too much of a high expectation, from the past chart we've had history of always dumping when we are nearing end of the year for some reasons but it might be different this time around but regardless I think Ethereum if not reaching $3k by the end of the year which is also christmas I think in the next year we will be almost certainly gonna be hitting that price mark.
after all, ethereum have even higher all time high than that so its definitely possible, moreover ethereum is the most utilized blockchain seeing from the gas increase alone you can easily know about it.
I think eventually we will see ethereum reaching its all time high again but that only if bitcoin is also nearing its all time high then it will all come into one piece, the altcoin season also definitely gonna happen if thats the case.

as we are now in bullying season then we could better Hold more and let time tells you when to sell ,
and besides Ethereum is still in good shape so don't bother having problem holding mate so keep it
on , and also try not to  have that second thought because you are in good position holding ethereum.

Ethereum has already hit $2400 recent so if you are expecting a profit if sold at that price then you should have sold it out by now. But OP why stating precisely till Christmas? If you are an hodler, then you should hold it till you make a good profit since this coming year is our expected bullrun season.

All altcoins have some level of correlation to bitcoin, with most of them being on the high side, this is something that anyone that can access to the prices of bitcoin and ethereum can verify by using any of the spreadsheet software that is available on the market, however what can allow the price of a coin to move independently is for its own fundamental news to change that dynamic, and in the case of ethereum the Dencun upgrade could allow ethereum to rise in price faster than bitcoin once it goes live.

thats true, next year probably ethereum will be hitting a new all time high due to the fact that bitcoin halving is near and when bitcoin is rising up so high it will be followed by ethereum, the holding frame is gonna be longer but the profit will be worth it.
assuming that in the future there will also be news in regard of ETF approval I think its bright future and the result kinda obvious in this regard.
but I guess some people might have different preference and rather choose to just get shorter holding which also means lesser profit and thats also totally fine.
regardless though anyone investing in ethereum should know that besides ETF bitcoin there's also ETF ethereum trying to be registered, just wait it out.
otherwise people wouldn't so hyped with accumulating both bitcoin and ethereum right now because they knew some good thing will arrive in the next year.

No technical analysis was done on my part. Just pure prediction. After all, even though you will make your technical analysis, you will not predict what can happen in the future with 100% accuracy. What's bad is that the market hasn't looked good in the past few days because after Bitcoin reached as high as $44,000, the price of it is going down, and that includes most of the top altcoins as well. TBH, I'm also thinking that we might see Bitcoin ending the year with its price lower than $40,000.

Overall, Ethereum is a good long-term coin to hold so even though you will just buy today, in the long term you will get profit. One thing more is that we aren't in a bull run yet, so if you bought today, just hold it until the bull run starts.

It is indeed difficult to predict when predicting the price of Cryptocurrency. Sometimes it doesn't match expectations. Don't blame you, at least we know the habits of a market at the end of the year or before Christmas. It seems that your prediction is actually wrong, it even looks like the price of Bitcoin will affect the price of everything, including Ethereum.  Today, the price of Ethereum has actually increased compared to what we all expected because this is the impact of approaching big holidays such as Christmas and New Year.

If I were the OP,  I would have locked this thread, this is because I believe he opened the thread due tension of his trading position. He actually opened a trade ( not an investment) that seemed to be running at a loss and seriously moving against him, but later went in his favour. On that very day that he opened the thread, if you look at your chart of Ethereum, you will realize that Ethereum hit that level ($2,300) and eventually moved past that level higher. By this, I believe the OP must have hit his target already which makes me think that he must have concluded this thread at the same time

Besides, I am glad things work the way they did for Bitcoin and Ethereum this year, and towards Christmas time, there are possibilities that the markets will continue to climb higher on a little positive news. This is because the sentiment is all positive now, no one truly wants to sell them. However, people will still continue to sell at times and make their money just like I did last week and even yesterday, but caution is strongly advised for the bearish position holder at this time. The shortest-term disposition is the best so that they will not lose or have to part ways with their already-earned profits. The Bulls are not smiling at this time, they are in for serious business and desperately waiting for the outcome of ETF on January 10.

The price of Etheruem will soon go more higher to show increase but as few days ago the price reduces to 2100$ so that decrease was actually due to Fluctuations in the Bitcoin price. The price of Bitcoin was reduces to 41k$ and that of Etheruem was 2100$. Currently the price of Etheruem is 2250$ which means that it is again in pumping position.
Christmas is near and we are guessing that price will not reduces more than 2200$ but will increase and as few days are remaining in coming years so there is also a hope that 3000$ of price will be attain by Ethereum before halving.

i wouldn't worry about etheruem hitting all time high because it obviously will its just matter of time, as we can see nowadays so many project coming up with program to stake ethereum even the gas fee for ethereum is increasing ever so significantly that executing smart contract function require $100 which is humongous for many of us.
its just matter of time until bitcoin reach all time high naturally ethereum will too and yes as you said, its not a shitcoin no need to worry even if it dumps right now to a thousand dollar it will come back up eventually in the future.
i would worry more about other altcoin that have peaked already they might reached their all time high this time around since we know some altcoin might not follow the trend of bitcoin reaching five times of initial price at time like this and just dumpinng all the way to the very bottom eventually in the future.
