I'll entertain you for $1, my only concern is if this service will suddenly disappear. It sounds like you're loading the cards with flat from a reserve rather than selling the bitcoins the clients sent on an exchange, then withdraw and then load it to the card as that will take a few days, and holding the bitcoins to later refill the flat reserve. So in theory, at some point, you can just stop honouring BTC deposits and blame your bank.
Do we get an IBAN to load the card with bank wire?

I just requested an invite.

In pure theory, any service can suddenly disappear, so, totally see your point about trust. We will have to earn it, which is, of course, easier said than done. The way we see it, is by talking to the community, caring for the customers, being willing to help, being as open as we can be (only not disclosing the commercially sensitive information), nurturing your feedback, acting on your criticism and by sticking around. If you can think of anything else which could make you or other users feel more secure - very happy to discuss.

Your understanding is correct in principle. In future there will be no need to physically deposit your BTC into the card, the conversion will take place automatically. And the best part it that the card will be multi currency, which means whatever fiat currency you spend, conversions will be done at interbank rate (no bank conversion fees).

Could you go into a bit more detail on why you may want/need to load the card via bank wire?

The beta activation code will be sent to you shortly.

Thank you for your trust and would appreciate your candid feedback here once you have tried the service!

1. whether the card can be shipped to one address, after I received the card, can I change my address and verify the card ?
2. Whether the name can be changed?
3. can I order ten cards at the same time, and associate each card to different accounts?
4. Can I open multiple accounts by the same name? and same shipping address?
5. I found the site https://www.e-coin.io/, when I log in, I can deposit BTC, but whether I can withdraw my BTC to another wallet address? or I must withdraw in cash? Can I do trading?

1 and 2 - why would you need to do that?
3 - at the moment one card per account. In theory you could create several accounts and order several cards, but later on you may run into difficulties trying to verify your account / address / identity if you want to increase the card limits.
4 - same as 3
5 - that is our website, correct. Yes, you can transfer BTC to another wallet. If you want to load your debit card, then the BTC is converted into USD (other currencies to follow later)

BTC <-> VISA is not a new idea, it's just something that not even the well known BTC companies have been able to do yet, so you need to provide a LOT of details and why YOU are able to do this when others cannot.
ANX's premium card is a visa debit card. they hold the ANX logo because the underlying bank allows people to print their own logo on it if buying 100 cards in bulk. the underlying bank for ANX is www.mbank.pl

note... this is only valid for the premium card. their basic and plus debits are not visas.

LOL what my ANX Premium card is a mastercard and it does not have my name on it just says ANX so i cant use it to rent cars or buy airline tickets. Also my ANX Premium was sent from tokyo to me in midwest USA and i got it in like 5-6 days including weekend. I really hope this card not like ANX Premium, i hate that i have to send bitcoin, then they will deposit to card $100 minimal then you can use like 2-3 business days tokyo time/holidays

to address this post and others you have made above:
- E-Coin card will have your name on it
- Minimum deposit to the card is only $5, maximum is capped depending on whether you choose to verify your account (identity and address) address
- Deposit to the card is immediate
- we cannot ship the cards to the US for now either. Canada is no problem.
- you are right in that the card is rather similar to Xapo/ANX; our card is already available to order NOW and is shipped the same day though
- a lot of information has been openly published since that old post you refer to, hopefully all the questions and doubts have been addressed by now. If something is still unclear, please, let us know and we will try to respond. The only information we won't be able to share here is the commercially sensitive data which cannot be shared without signing an appropriate non-disclosure document

Thank you for your comments - always interested to hear all the opinions

hi i have a question, if i was to find someone there in the uk to ship my card 2. then they send it here to the u.s to me, it will work fine here? and also i would need fake name and or fake address there in order to get it?

technically (or legally) there is nothing to stop you from doing so. If you are happy with the lower withdrawal/spending/lifetime limits of the card allowed by unverified account (remember, despite not being obliged to as yet, we are respecting and sticking to the KYC and AML regulations and limitations), you can order it to your friend's address and then collect it from there.

No need to use any fake credentials though

Visa.

1068  Local / Бизнес / Re: Биткоин дебит карта on: January 18, 2015, 10:56:27 AM

1069  Local / Бизнес / Re: Биткоин дебит карта on: January 16, 2015, 01:17:18 PM

AML (Anti Money Laundering).

Multi-currency card would be very useful, I think

yes, especially when you travel. What banks charge when you use a GBP card even in Europe to pay in EUR is ridiculous. Not to mention remote places with strange small currencies.

working hard on it...
1071  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 15, 2015, 12:33:07 PM
When will the Euro cards be available? Dont mind using a dollar card to test this out, but the fees will make this pretty expensive to use in Europe.

we are hoping in a month or couple months.

The longer-term goal is to have a multi-currency card which you can use anywhere, without paying the crazy commissions that banks charge for currency conversion. Our card will allow you to make those conversions at interbank rates without even thinking about it.
The more people start using it, the quicker all those new features will be implemented, so, thank you again for being one of the first to try it out!

2) did you recieved card with MyChoice logo on it? the reason for this question is that our card issuer was supposed to update card design (should look like on photo in first post)

Yes, it has Mychoice on it. TBH, it looks better than the one on the first post,  but its not branded with your company.

[/quote]

design is the area we are working on, would love to put our own on the card from day 1, but the card issuer has some limitations. Give it some time, and we will get the design advertised on our web-site, but at the moment it's the Mychoice one or the one shown above - depending on when it was ordered

Guys,

Would very much appreciate your opinions on one more feature we are aboutto implement:

We are planning to release our Card API to public in Feb-Mar, so that other bitcoin wallets/services can integrate our card into their systems.

To start with, the functionality of the Card API will allow to:
- order a card
- view the balance
- view the transactions
- convert BTC to fiat

Let us know what you think about Card API and whether you would be interested in using it
1075  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 12, 2015, 05:02:36 PM
I'm interested. PM me details.

done. thank you and let us know if you need any help..
1076  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 09, 2015, 07:14:19 PM
Hmm, OK, I'll waste (only) a few dollars on this and try it out.
I'm in Australia.
I already use a few methods for doing this - one is a local Gift Card supplier who does it similarly but with a once off balance Debit/Savings Gift Card so I could track him down if anything went wrong, since I have his name and address from the start and he lives in the same state as me (and he's been doing it for a year now)

So ... $1 is ... about 0.0035 BTC at the moment.

So questions:
1) Where would the balance be visible?
2) Who has access to adjust the balance? (up or down)

The $2500 lifetime limit of the card doesn't make it all that great either.

I'm actually not expecting this to pan out - again there is something strange that you can do something that many other companies bigger and well known cannot.

Also wondering why your post history shows a post in russian
(yet you replied to me above 'mate')

have you registered yet, mate? all smooth with the card order?

Just a quick one on the Russian language and forum and whatever not: we are all from Russia originally, but by far not that stereotypical guy with a beard, a fur hat and a Kalashnikov. Born and bred there, always happy to go back, as it's home and a great country with great people - recently helped an Australian friend cross Russia from East to West by car, they absolutely loved it.
Yet, educated in Europe, fluent in languages, travelled half the world, etc. Been to Oz twice myself, loved it, will go again for sure, and I think 'mate' is one of the coolest words on the planet.

We've seen quite a good, constructive and positive response in the Russian thread and a lot of good thoughts, so, definitely going to continue with it.

Let us know how it goes with the card, and would appreciate your feedback - we really want and need to hear what you guys think, what is or would be useful, or what could be lost as no one needs it
1077  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 08, 2015, 10:09:46 PM
here is the full list of card limits, easier to read:

For verification you'll need to send scans of your ID and proof of address - typical stuff.

Verification itself and the increased limits will become available after the public release.
1078  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 08, 2015, 09:28:08 PM

Ok, did someone tried ?

a few have registered and ordered cards. It will now take a few days to receive them, depending on the location. Within EU the official timeframe is 5-10 days, from experience they usually arrive quicker. Outside EU - all depends on the local post service, which in some countries can be rather poor

[...] Once the full integration is complete (February - March), you will be able to store money in BTC on the card as well.
That's great.

From your FAQ:
Quote
What are the fees associated with E-Card?
ATM Transaction Domestic
Domestic means within the UK or is that currency related (e.g. EUR card + EUR cashout = domestic, EUR card + USD cashout = international)?

Quote
Can I withdraw cash at ATM using my E-Card?
You can withdraw $400/ €400/£320 per day if your E-Coin account is not verified and $1200/ €1000/£800 per day once you have become a verified account holders.
400 € per day without any verification is huge! This means to withdraw/spend 146,000 € per year allmost anonymous. I can't really believe that this complies with AML/KYC?!

"Verified by Visa" is possible?

In the FAQ you should mention the bank you are connected with.

So, the card is just black? That's a bit boring. You show a great card design on your homepage. Hope this is used soon.

Domestic means currency related, you are exactly right.

Limits: oh, that would be sweet.. Unfortunately not, KYC defines card lifetime limits as well, apologies for missing that out in FAQ and well spotted - will make sure this is added there, too.

Here is the current full list:

Limits                        Unverified (KYC1)         Verified (KYC2)
POS                           USD      EUR      GBP      USD      EUR      GBP
Number of purchases         per day      no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit
Value of purchases         per day      no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit

ATM
Number of ATM transactions   per day      no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit   no limit
Value of ATM withdrawal      per transaction   $200      €200      £160      $600      €600      £400
Value of ATM withdrawal      per day      $400      €400      £320      $1200   €1,000   £800
Maximum ATM withdraw      Lifetime      $1000   €1,000   £800      no limit   no limit   no limit

Loading Rules
Max single load                     $500      €500      £400      $10000   €10,000   £8,000
Max daily load                      $500      €500      £400      $20000   €20,000   £16,000
Max lifetime load                  $2500   €2,500   £2,000   no limit   no limit   no limit

The card design: it does not only depend on us, we would be thrilled to get the one shown in the homepage straight away, but there are some limitations imposed by Visa. This is one of the next steps - we are on it.
1080  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card on: January 08, 2015, 08:00:41 PM
guys, a quick note for those who have ordered the cards: they were supposed to be sent out in new design (the one shown at the top of this thread) as of this week, however, we just received another one in the old design. Having spoken to the card issuer, this should be corrected shortly.
So, don't be surprised if the one you receive happens to look a bit different, it is still the same card, just different print on the front
