Well, here we are for the third consecutive season.  Cool
I also took the Orioles to win, but mine is for the entire series @1.96. The Orioles probably won't mind if the Rangers keep their momentum rolling after their WC win against the Rays since they tend to thrive under pressure.

And for the other side of the bracket, I might add the Dodgers tomorrow once my price boost refreshes and i'm staying away from the Braves vs. Phillies when there's a possibility for an upset.

Only 7 days until Dota 2 TI tournament and I must say I'm already hyped for some majestic Dota 2 games. Also rumors are that Puppey will be with Team SMG on TI and he is already practicing for some days with them in order to be prepared so once again , Puppey will make it to TI.  Grin
I've also heard of the rumors and he'll possibly join with Mind Control when two of their players struggle to secure a visa. Both players would be a straight upgrade for the team and might even get a good placement if they're lucky enough with the group draw.

Aside from TI, there's also Worlds, which i'm looking forward to in a few days since I might focus on their group stage as i'm usually struggling with Dota's Bo2 format.

The only ones I managed to predict correct on any of betslips were Atletico Madrid and Barcelona but those matches were close with cancelled goals being called on their opponents. So it wasn't easy to watch these two if you had anything on these matches.
I also had a bet on the Atletico Madrid match and was banking on them to produce a lot of goals as I had BTTS and over 2.5. Luckily, Feyenoord made the first goal, forcing Atletico Madrid to score one back and the next thing you know it's 2-2 in the first half.

This is probably the only special that I didnt interested on taking before the match lol. I mean I thought it would be a pretty close game between Newcastle and PSG so I was pretty sure that it wouldnt be over 3.5 goals.
It only became my second option because three goals felt like a stretch and I didn't trust Newcastle enough to perform well against tough matches like these.

GW 7 free bet winner is ralle14. Congrats man, this makes you the first person in our pool who got more than one free bet. Put it to good use and it is about time you make some bad decisions this season which will allow me close the gap  Grin
Thank you. I'm guessing the bonus points saved me because I thought I would be the second top gainer this week when I saw my total sitting at 77 after the weekend, while Cryptofrka had 79.

I also feel like i'm due for a bad week when things are going too well. I did make a few changes so we'll see if that's the price I have to pay.  Wink

I thought i'll only get one or two points in the last six matches and then the late goals came in for Lazio and Man City giving me six points for both exact score.  Wink

I gained a lot of ranks in the Superbru leaderboard but not so much in the odds-based leaderboard.  Tongue I learned my lesson after trusting PSV too much to get the win at home and underestimating Sevilla to show up on the road.

Today we have some more juicy Sportsbet Specials and they are worth a look atleast:
I'm tempted to jump on PSG's odds, thinking they have the upper hand on this match, but I find the BTTS+ o9.5 corners combo to be the better play when I somehow see this one ending with a draw. I just hope they don't lack in the corner department once the BTTS hits.

Manchester United losing was the biggest shocker of the evening at the UCL matchday 2 encounters.
To me, their loss was expected after seeing them lose against Crystal Palace. The Lens win surprised me the most since I thought Arsenal patched things up on the road and then that loss happened.

Edit: I can't believe the bet ended up losing by one corner.

1069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you manage greed to place your bet on: October 04, 2023, 01:40:24 AM
It's all about reminding yourself that even the best bets on paper can still lose once the match starts. I sometimes have the same regret when I have a smaller stake in an obvious pick, but I would just be thankful it won because you still can't count out the possibility of the bet losing. Once you go through a long streak of losses, you'll realize the importance of keeping yourself in check and understand that it's better to accumulate your winnings through small stakes. Instead of wanting to win more, you should view it differently and strive to prolong your bankroll.
1070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the Gambling Sportybet (Company) Refund the Money? on: October 04, 2023, 12:40:01 AM
That boy was trying to freeroll the sportsbook, if he won the bet, he probably wouldn't reveal his age and walk away with his winnings. After things went south, he's trying to find a way to get his losses back, similar to the cases that we sometimes see here in the gambling section.

I doubt he'd get a refund when it's already too late and maybe it could've been a different story if he was caught while the money is still in his account.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have You Ever Made Such Mistake Before, But Won still? on: October 04, 2023, 12:04:38 AM
The last time this happened to me was a few years ago when Yolodice was still up and running. I was running an auto bet while hunting for low numbers and made a careless mistake in my betting size and started with a significantly bigger betting size. I only noticed it when my bankroll went down by a lot in the first couple of bets but i'm lucky enough to get a win (with a 1% win probability) and stop the auto bet in time before eating up more of my bankroll.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 03, 2023, 04:24:03 PM
I was interested in taking one of the CHTV specials earlier and now it somehow disappeared as i'm about to place a bet. I would've taken the BTTS and over 3.5 for 2.80 as I thought it was the only special that could likely hit out of the rest. I can imagine seeing a scoreline of 2-2 or 3-1 since I doubt these two would sit back and hold on to their lead.

I'm locking Arsenal @1.70 as my alternative bet for the day. I think they get away with a win on the road since Lens doesn't have the best form and only looked better after their draw against Sevilla a few weeks ago.

Edit: Disappointing loss, Arsenal dominated in shots but couldn't convert while Lens only needed one in the second half.
1073  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best Way to Handle Longshot Bets on: October 03, 2023, 06:59:19 AM
Some gamblers had an habit of making small bets many times, which leads to the few dollars loss.If the gambler do gambling with the gap with the fixed money per month,So he won’t loss the money.Because he will gamble the free money every month,So the loss will not affect the gambler at any point. Some gambler start to target the loss, which is not possible sometimes because of your luck.So the luck based gambling only help the gambler to recover the loss if it was tried by the gambler.
That's one way to view small bets, but i'd say it's more of a disposable portion of your bankroll than free money when these small bets are still a part of your bankroll. This made me remember an unusual gambler who would bet a small chunk of their balance to round it up or down.

One part that's missing from the guide is taking advantage of hedging through live bets. It might not be the best move for gamblers because it's -EV, but it doesn't hurt to cash these small bets out to secure a good chunk of profits.
1074  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 03, 2023, 03:28:00 AM
With watching the first quarter it was just a sea of yellow from all the penalties being given out by the referees.
There were no points put up on the scoreboard yet while I tuned into the game, but Seattle were at their own 30 yard line and was 1st and 20 then another flag thrown during the play and set back to 1st and 25.
So this seems to be a reoccurring theme for this Monday night match and possibly make it a low scoring one if more flags get thrown throughout the rest of the game.
Geno Smith was the favored quarterback to take the Seahawks on to victory against a poorly performing Daniel Jones and Giants team.
If I did have a bet on this match up tonight, I would of picked the exactly same as you did backing the Seahawks and probably put it as a combo bet with the points spread just to make it a bit more appealing to me.
Yup, the first half was so scrappy from both sides there is always a flag being thrown on every play and the Giants' QB was the real MVP of this match. Whenever they start to gain some yardage and close in on the red zone they somehow find a way to give it back to the Seahawks.  Cheesy

I thought my Seahawks bet was in trouble when Geno Smith was having issues during the second quarter but the Giants still can't get their shit together.
1075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Before you take sides on: October 03, 2023, 02:46:47 AM
In sportsbooks, it's common to see gamblers getting banned or limited because they win too much, but with casinos, you almost don't see it happen unless they catch you breaking the rules. I agree that the stuff we read from other gamblers should be taken less seriously because i've seen some of them explain their situation and make things sound like they've done nothing wrong until the casino steps in to explain their reason behind the punishment.

I wish gamblers were more honest when it's their fault.
Unfortunately, it's the opposite since gamblers would do almost anything to get their money back even though they lost it fair and square.
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NFL Sportsbet.io discussion & predications thread rev on: October 03, 2023, 12:08:07 AM
We get another fishy odds, but i'll ride with the Seahawks @1.76 (price boost). The Giants look like one of the weakest teams after facing a couple of good teams, while the Seahawks are better on paper and want to extend their win streak to three. The bookies are testing the Giants here since this is the second time they'll face a team (the first was against the Cardinals) they can potentially beat.

Yes, it ended 23-20 for the Chiefs which they didn't deserve to win. Mahomes had 2 interceptions from what I witnessed while watching the game and Kelce didn't get going in this one with his usual performance.
Not the same Chiefs team who won the Super Bowl last season that's for sure against a struggling and recovering offensive line-up including Zach Wilson.
Who hasn't got into the leading role of being the starting QB yet.
I agree the Chiefs performed like they were the underdogs in this matchup and I regret not buying a few extra points for my under as I wasn't expecting a lackluster second half from these two teams.

I am really curious, near the end of the 4th quarter of the match, why did Patrick Mahomes stop near the goal instead of going for the Touchdown? I've read some comments on YouTube that it was to waste time and guarantee their win and others said that the Chiefs would still win if Patrick Mahomes went for the Touchdown.
Crazy things can happen even if there's only a minute and a half left and with their defense performing inconsistently, there's a possibility of it going to OT if they went for a TD.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble till old age or not on: October 02, 2023, 11:00:42 PM
I haven't thought that far, but I guess when I reach a certain age, I can see myself dropping it since my priorities won't stay the same, and there are different sources of entertainment that I can use to replace gambling. I sometimes use these other sources to keep myself away whenever i'm having a bad day at gambling. Then again, I could be wrong because i'm mostly gambling for the fun of it and it could last for a long time if this level of fun remains the same until I get old.

After two of my midfielders didn't play i'm still lucky I got away with 70 points this week. Replacing Alexander-Arnold with Andersen suddenly paid off thanks to that upset by Crystal Palace.  Grin

I decided to use my wildcard this week.
I was thinking of using mine because I have to replace some of my players but I ended up just using the free transfers to downgrade my squad.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: October 02, 2023, 01:57:32 AM
I was hoping we'd get some NFL MOTD, but today's not it as I see the Chelsea vs. Fulham markets already up.

It'll be another skip for me as I think this match is more likely to end in a draw and I don't trust these two teams to score more than one goal after looking up their recent match results.  Cheesy

Maybe there's value in Fulham but the ATGS leg might not hit when they have three players that can score.

1080  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Sportsbook to handle large bets? on: October 02, 2023, 12:56:06 AM
and the OP should consider his decisions here. because if he has no problems with those 2 bookies he'd playing with, then, what are the reasons why he wants to change his bookies? a new one may pose trouble for him if he will be playing such large amounts. for sure, he needs to take care of kyc requirements also. if he really wants to try new ones, much better if it is reputable ones that he can find in this forum. at least, when he gets into trouble, he can ask for help or contact any rep here. not many casinos can handle such amount of money though.
He already pointed out his problem and it's the betting size each sportsbook can handle because there's always a limit to how much you can win per bet. Looking for more sportsbooks would help him increase his betting size overall since each sportsbook can only allow up to a certain amount per bettor.

What's your average bet size? In Fortunejack, i've checked the T&C, and it says the max payout goes up to €100K but it might not be the same with their NCAAF markets. Maybe it's best to try for a betting exchange like Fairlay.
