10601  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Have you used Lightning yet? How did it go? on: March 30, 2018, 09:01:08 AM
I will tell you about my personal experience with lightning network and Zap-Desktop App:
1. Installation of App: used Windows 8.1 operating system, installation took about 12 minutes.
2. Zap interface: the interface of this application is already attractive and is characterized by ease.
3. payment channel: I bought some free testnet BTC and after the confirmation process I was able to open a channel(Peers ---> Add new peer ----> channels --->  create a payment channel)
4. receive payments: click "payment request".

I'm not sure about that but I do not think we will need to download the entire network of blockchain when we use the lightning network.
10602  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: The idea that will make the world a better place on: March 29, 2018, 04:43:58 PM
The best investment is finding solutions to real problems.
Create a team then look for the real problems in your country and find solutions to those problems.
Based on these solutions, create a company with a model (solve of that problem) and market for your product.
Be patient and you will find that you are rich. ex facebook and Bitcoin

75 thousand is not enough to make the world a better place. If you want to make it a better place, then invest in organizations that help raise

10603  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin? Advantages and Disadvantages on: March 29, 2018, 03:02:15 PM
I do not consider Bitcoin as an investment tool, but as long as the price remains rising, it drives everyone to make a quick profit using this technology.
Advantages:
many states and individuals have recognized by bitcoin and started to organize their dealings.
The current value is very low and bitcoin has proved that it can reach a  20,000 $ level.
Very low fees and quick confirmations.

Disadvantages:
The price fluctuates quickly.

You have to trust that the price of the Bitcoin will rise, so do not sell when losing (Price collapse).
10604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Upgrade my Win 10 notebook with HDD to Linux with SSD on: March 29, 2018, 02:18:37 PM
The biggest problem with notebook is everything is compact and the heat can accumulate.
Editing pictures/videos and running full node requires a lot of processing so I recommend you to seriously consider maintaining the temperature.
Moving to Linux is a smart move and increasing RAM will save a lot of time. I do not know the importance of buying external memory to restore the blockchain but it 's your choice.

Suggestions
1. get a notebook cooler.
2. Since the download process will take some time, I suggest you unplug the laptop from A/C  at least twice a week / use the battery up to 20%/ recharging.

Testing this service using 0.005 BTC 100% after 2hr. 19min.
  • .Pending time :........  Pending time is too long
  • .Website design :.....  I didn’t like the design of the site and did not seem to be related to the content of the service.
  • .Performance :.........  Easy to use service, clear instructions and I liked the choice of mixing level
  • .Currency support :..  Wide range of cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash
it looks excellent and unique service. just change the design of the site, reduce the minimum amount of mixing (may be 0.001) and add some new touches. 4.5/5

10606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: March 28, 2018, 10:39:27 AM
Bitcoin combined between being a coin and payment system so theoretically it has everything it needs to be a global currency.
With all the problems that occur, the adoption of a decentralized system without the need for a reliable intermediary will be the solution to all payments globally.
Currently, Bitcoin is weak and can not be a currency for daily use but with the development of technology I believe in a bright future for it and all other digital currencies
10607  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: All Crypto assets stolen from Exodus - Anything I can do? on: March 28, 2018, 09:29:09 AM
I've had a discussion about the same problem two days ago Exodus and Neon Wallets: “Quite Vulnerable”
This user from YouTube has proved that Exodus wallet can be hacked ("script is written using the Python programming language in the background and dumping the memory onto a notepad.")[1]

In this video, I demonstrate how unsafe it is to run cryptocurrency wallets on vulnerable PCs. Simply by having the wallet running, your private key is exposed in plaintext and can be stolen by malware in a matter of seconds.[2]

Please post transactions ID of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin, Dash, and EOS maybe someone can track hacker.

10608  Economy / Economics / Re: How much do you have to profit in Bitcoin to beat other investments? on: March 28, 2018, 08:54:37 AM
When investing in a Bitcoin instead of thinking about the past you should understand that you can not put a future value for the currency.
It's stupid to buy one bitcoin for 8000$ and wait until the price rises to $ 80,000(it’s not an investment).
The real investment is investing in knowledge that will change the world or benefit humanity like those who invested in Bitcoin at 2010.

10609  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of cryptos increase in future? on: March 28, 2018, 08:11:16 AM
Price is negligible when dealing with Bitcoin because revolutionary technology is invaluable.
I do not think the drop in the price of Bitcoin since the beginning of this year because of the technological aspects, However, the impetus for the lightning network will cause the price to skyrocket.
The recent G-20 meeting clearly indicated the world's acceptance of bitcoin, which means a bright future for cryptocurrencies

10612  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach $5,000 again. on: March 27, 2018, 06:18:18 PM
Although this is a significant drop to the downside 8000$ on March 20, it was unable to overcome above the 20-day EMA.
The worst fall for the price was in February 06 where 6,000$ will be a minimum barrier.
I agree with you " Bitcoin will never reach $5,000 again" even if the price falls, I do not think it will be less than 6,000$.

10613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoins goal to end governments? on: March 27, 2018, 05:20:12 PM
The main reason for the creation of the Pitcairn is to support decentralization and to remove the restrictions imposed by banks and not to get rid of governments.
If you notice that Bitcoin appeared after the global financial crisis and the problem of trust with banks.
Satoshi designed this system to conduct transactions and payments without the need to resort to a third party must be trusted.
Bitcoin is not intended to destroy governments but to achieve communication between peoples
10614  Economy / Economics / Re: About real state of cryptos on: March 27, 2018, 04:32:31 PM
Hi all. What do you think about this idea - is it possible to actually use crypto for daily payments?
read on medium
give your opinion
Theoretically, the purpose of cryptocurrencies is to replace banks and make deals easily for all over the world.
This concept faces several difficulties:
  • Technical aspect: Some of these currencies can not be used as a daily payment method. eq(Limited network of bitcoin)
  • Economic aspect: Many sites and governments do not directly support these currencies.
  • Legal aspect: The laws are still being updated about these currencies
10615  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Will it be possible to user bitcoin core without downloading whole blockchain ? on: March 27, 2018, 03:51:41 PM
You can reduce the HDD space of Bitcoin-Core software by activating pruning (remove already verified blocks).

Code:
/bitcoind --prune=550
dbcache=1000 (if you have more than 2 GB RAM)
you can read more from here ----> https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/a6a860796a44a2805a58391a009ba22752f64e32/doc/release-notes/release-notes-0.11.0.md#block-file-pruning

You can also store blockchain in a separate hard drive and make sure that it is available every time you run the program. Read more ----> https://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/43636/how-do-i-relocate-my-bitcoin-data-in-bitcoin-qt-to-save-space/43637#43637

10616  Other / Serious discussion / Cboe Urges SEC To Support Bitcoin ETFs on: March 26, 2018, 09:40:16 PM
Chris Concannon from Cboe Global Markets sent a letter the SEC explaining that bitcoin ETFs do not involve significant risk and their approval should not be hindered.[1]

“While Cboe shares many of the concerns raised in the Staff Letter, we believe that the vast majority of these concerns can be addressed within the existing framework for commodity-related funds related to valuation, liquidity, custody, arbitrage, and manipulation”

10617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees cheaper than Banks now on: March 26, 2018, 08:51:21 PM
Although you are right, this decline is temporary and the problem remains.
Even with the use of wallets do not support segwit technology fee is cheaper than banks.
mempool is empty, BCH price is cheaper than to support bitcoin network spam.
I think that with the new news about the lightning network all things will be excellent
10618  Economy / Web Wallets / [Discussion] Exodus and Neon Wallets: “Quite Vulnerable” on: March 26, 2018, 03:47:01 PM
I have watched this video from youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VU3Zfrvsm8k&feature=youtu.be
and read this from this site " that the Exodus wallet can be hacked fairly easily. This can be done by just running a simple script written using the Python programming language in the background and dumping the memory onto a notepad. The script was run after the user logged into the Exodus wallet, and to our surprise, we were able to see the 12-word recovery phrase.

These malicious scripts can infiltrate a computer system through malware or a bot installed secretly on browsers. If we search through the system memory for a recovery phrase, we will be able to get them very quickly and easily. An experienced hacker can retrieve the keys even faster than us, since only very basic scripts were used in this example."[1]

Is this information true/correct or is it just a trick in video design?

10620  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if trading in Bitcoin was your source of income? on: March 26, 2018, 08:51:43 AM
What are the effects of these days dips for you as a trader?

Bitcoin was not made primarily to be a tool for speculation or a source of income.
The price does not settle at a certain range and it is not possible to predict a rise or a fall.
Instead of speculating on the price, provide services that can help others and accept bitcoin as a payment method.
The biggest problem these days for traders is the price contraction
