10641  Economy / Economics / Re: Why BTC is having a high price? on: March 24, 2018, 08:04:25 AM
A mixture of the reasons that made the Bitcoin rise to these levels but I think these are the most prominent reasons:

  • Lots of good news: In 2017 a lot talked about the rise of the Bitcoin and all the channels talk that the price will rise to 100,000$
  • The fame of bitcoin: social media have talked admirably about Bitcoin, also given space to communicate among currency users
  • Bitcoin Forks: Free money from these hardfork
  • altcoins: you need bitcoin to buy altcoins
10642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your favorite stablecoin?? on: March 24, 2018, 07:23:24 AM
Personally, the high volatility of the prices of CryptoCurrency is one of its advantages so I am not encouraged by the kind of stable currencies.
Generally, all rely on centralization making it useless.
One of the most important currencies that have a fixed price and depend on a future model of decentralization is Havven (my favorite stablecoin).

I use litecoin as a safe haven in the event of a breakdown

10643  Economy / Web Wallets / PIN/Password web wallets on: March 24, 2018, 04:04:23 AM
I noticed that some wallets like Exodus doesn’t require Internet to decrypt the password and others like Blockchain.info/greenaddress require Internet.
also from FAQ of greenaddress :
When you create a PIN, a random 256 bit AES password is created and used to encrypt your mnemonics and store them on your device in encrypted form. This password is sent to the server and destroyed on the client.
If the server is given the correct PIN when logging in, it will return the password to the device in order to decrypt the mnemonics.[1]

Does this mean that the server can get my password?
How can a wallet decrypt password without knowing the password?
I would be happy if someone explained how PIN/password encryption & decryption works because my information is very scarce.

He created an account just to ask this question, why? I see a lot of people do this and I wonder why they do it? and see that in most cases they do not even respond in the thread they create.
OP, do you feel ashamed to claim on faucets? why the hell did you created a bitcointalk account to ask that question?
Here are these possible theories:

  • He found the solution to the problem and forgot the account
  • Marked(bookmark) this page and checked it offline
  • Lost access to this account
  • If he/she post after 14 days of this publication, it may be an account farming (Such posts are seldom deleted)
10645  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Virtues of the Great HODL on: March 23, 2018, 11:00:52 AM
humans in a hurry to panic and It is easy to influence them through bad news.
Big whales use their media power to spread a lot of bad news and sell a number of Bitcoins to make the price fall and the effect of landing with bad news leading to collapse.
Now these users/whales are buying Bitcoin at cheaper prices.
Just HODL and Stop listening to news and analysis.
10646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BCH vs BTC? on: March 23, 2018, 09:47:54 AM
what is Bitcoin cash (BCH)?
is a result of a prolonged disagreement on how to handle the bitcoin scalability problem. A group of people not content with the new Segregated Witness feature decided to increase bitcoin transaction capacity eight times, on a different blockchain without it.[1]

Is Bitcoin cash the solution to scalability problem?
NO, only a temporary escape from the problem.

Bitcoin Cash will collapse just as it happened for each bitcoin hardfors

Bad reputation for ICOs and Many of the frauds that occur because of it, will make it less effective in the future.
So I think the beginning of the end for this kind of fraud/Scam.
In general, it is better to use bitcoin for payment rather than currency with no future.

10648  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PROBLEM on: March 23, 2018, 07:51:31 AM
I think you talking about freebitco.in's faucet.
Problem: Using blacklist IP (any IP connected with other accounts)

The solution:
  • Remove cookies
  • Stop using VPN, Proxy and other IP changing tools
  • Reset your IP: restart your Router, restart your phone or use this for windows (cmd -- Ipconfig/renew)
  • Contact support using your normal access IP

They will add your IP to "whitelisted".
10649  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are charts useful for long term investors? on: March 22, 2018, 04:54:06 PM
Short answer: No Smiley
In a centralized system, plans can benefit and I can define my long-term investment plans.
bitcoin and others are decentralized, making it difficult to predict in the short term and impossible in the long term.
Investment without prior planning is a high risk investment and closer to be gambling.
I do not use these schemes/charts in the case of long term investment and better to be an unaccountable risk.
10650  Economy / Economics / Re: The advantages of bitcoin on: March 22, 2018, 04:18:41 PM
One of the most important reasons why i use Bitcoin is that it broke the restrictions where I can pay any one in the world.
Previously it was difficult to enter markets such as African or Asian markets due to lack of support from Visa, MasterCard and PayPal.
Now I can make gains from those markets and use Bitcoin to buy new products without having to convert to cash.
Thank you for the future revolution (Bitcoin)
10651  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Marketplace straight Payment With Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2018, 01:21:39 PM
Most of these sites support payment through an intermediary such as BitPay.
Generally I can recommend you these sites:
  • bitify:World's largest Bitcoin marketplace and auction site. Buy online with Bitcoin securely using our secured escrow service with up to 30 days buyer protection.[1]
  • gyft:you can easily upload, buy, and redeem gift cards in stores or online. [1]

"We just released a new version of Eclair Wallet (0.2.4), our Android ⚡️ Lightning wallet. #bitcoin #LightningNetwork It includes new features (custom fees, import wallet, pin protection, ...) and numerous improvements and bugfixes."[1]

10653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this the new bull markert on: March 21, 2018, 02:17:42 PM
The market seems to have made a 10,000$ vigilance stability. It’s recovering from a collapse/crash of more than a week.
I do not know how long it keeps green, but that's normal.
We are not talking about "bull market" but the lack of bad news

Forks:

Softfork .

Bitcoin XT

Bitcoin Classic

Bitcoin Unlimited

Segregated Witness

Bitcoin Cash

Bitcoin Gold

Apart from everything, Bitcoin is not an investment tool and should not be the source of your basic income.
The price is very choppy but the ease of use and follow-up of the prices of Bitcoin make it take no more than minutes.
You can use sites and apps to alert Bitcoin prices and I will give you a model of them

10659  Economy / Speculation / Re: whether it's time to turn green again on: March 19, 2018, 10:04:38 AM
ranks 1-100 all the green back coins, I think there will be no more red. bitcoin up 7.79% Ethereum up 5.01% Ripple up 10, 52%.
my estimation will continue to increase. but, there will be some also red back. honest personally feel a little bit happy to see this situation.
I think that the absence of negative news and the presence of some positive news(The FSB`s initial assessment) may help to rise again.
The price is tied to the news rather than the credibility of the news.
With these strong rises more than 6% I think the price will continue to rise to the  10,000$ barrier soon.
The fact that " Bitcoin is stronger than being influenced by a lower price " so do not let the panic take you
10660  Other / Ivory Tower / G20 & Cryptocurrencies on: March 18, 2018, 08:08:03 PM
The Financial Stability Board (FSB), which coordinates financial regulation for the Group of 20 Economies, also resisted calls from some G20 members to regulate cryptocurrencies like bitcoin. Interest in cryptocurrencies surged last year as prices rocketed only to tumble in recent months, triggering warnings from regulators. But in a sign of too little consensus for radical action, the FSB said more international coordination was needed to plug data gaps in monitoring the rapidly evolving but still tiny sector worth less than 1 percent of global GDP at its peak.[1]

"The FSB`s initial assessment is that crypto-assets do not pose risks to global financial stability at this time," FSB Chair Mark Carney said in a letter to G20 central bankers and finance ministers who will meet in Buenos Aires on Monday and Tuesday. Carney, who stands down next year when his term as governor of the Bank of England ends, signalled that whoever succeeds him would be overseeing a more open watchdog focused on reviewing rules instead of pushing through new standards.[2]

Do you think it's the beginning of Cryptocurrencies acceptance in general?
