10661  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Situation under control! on: February 11, 2014, 02:03:13 AM
I agree. If anything, good has come out of this "mess". MtGox is pretty much done for which isn't bad, a known "bug" is even more known now so new exchanges won't make the same mistake and this shows Bitcoins resilience. It's going to take a lot more than exchange closing to take down Bitcoin. A lot more....

True!! Indeed true! Smiley (might be speculations Tongue but it is true and we see that!)

And as we can say MtGox is not needed any more Cheesy
MtGox was like a mother of crypto exchanges
But they suffer so many issues and delays, that I never even open an account there.
For me in my country (Poland) withdrawing money to bank account was like waiting for X-mass.

Sure - all that MtGox issue was not a good thing for a Bitcoin situation, and media could speculate and make people start to be afraid of using it.
BUT - all clear now, and MtGox truely can dissapear and I guess nothing bad will happen Smiley

Good for other that they can learn from MtGox mistakes, and for now I never had any problems with any of other Crypto  Exchanges
Like Bter or Vircurex.

I am thinking to write an buissness letter to president of Cracow.

I so want those Bitcoin ATM in my city!! Smiley

There are many places in Cracow where you can pay by using Bitcoins, but still only about 5% of population use Bitcoin here.

I am thinking of way to use my IT skills and social skills and get money from president of Cracow (it is possible, he s sponsoring some nice ideas) to make bitcoin more popular and city could invest into Bitcoin too to rise founds to rebuild and other.

10663  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Situation under control! on: February 11, 2014, 01:51:46 AM
I just want to say, that last days were quite full off asstalk, panic and stress.

Full of speculations, fear of noobs, and cheap coins.

Just want to announce to all who panic a lot - that again you should try to keep calm longer.
Hah.

Price is going up again.

And Bitcoin shows its power. Bitcoin is growing stronger and stronger and any asstalk and speculations, even MtGox problems and fu&^ing Apple will not stand on its way to glory.

I am so in love in Bitcoin - even if I am not pro trader - I always see future in Bitcoin.

World with Bitcoin is a better world.
My life from when I join Bitcoin world is better - I saw a very bright light above me Smiley and I find many jobs for BTC, as I couldnt find for zlotys in my country.

So please, haters, panic people and asstalking trolls - think twice and twice again before you did another thread about how bitcoin is going to die.

Regards.

Love you Bitcoin!
Love you Satoshi!

So happy that I joined Bitcointalk.org!

10671  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Gox Incentive on: February 10, 2014, 11:04:41 PM
I think that market manipulation with a clear intent to defraud is as big a financial crime as simple theft, and would be treated with equal harshness in a court of law.

But it is not a crime.

It makes a bubble - bubble usually always break.

10672  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some security questions on: February 10, 2014, 10:43:17 PM
I will try to get a more secure wallet with some better backups. Thinking of using https://bitcoinarmory.com on a cold computer with some paper/usb backups on my wallet. Or if you have any better recomendation?

But I still got some questions:
How is it possible for a hacker to get the private key from a wallet installation on a hot computer?
Doesn't he still need the password for the wallet so he can get the private key out?
Isn't it unsecure to print a wallet to get a cold paper wallet? Perhaps the printer have som form of cache?

1. Armory is very good offline wallet.
2. If you set password for your private keys someone need password to use them
IF your computer is secure from any hijacks your private keys are safe.
If someone CAN access into your HDD and copy keys, he can also add some KeyLogger into your system
and get all of yours passwords.
So security means - malware free, virus and other shit free. Firewall ON, antivirus ON, self checks ON Smiley
3. Cache in printer hardware is erasing after task is done. Or in bad case - after turn off.
I never heard about method to take somebodies printer and print his last printed document again.

10673  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC on: February 10, 2014, 10:36:48 PM
As a wise man once told me that the best way to double your money is to " get a 10$ bill out of your pocket then fold it in half and put it back in your pocket " and thats is the most safest and easiest way to do it, other then that you must earn the second half by hard/smart work.

Yes Smiley this is working I just try it on myself.

Huhu! Smiley Now I have 200zl, before I had 100zl.

Thanks man!
all i'll say is thank you..! or you can try some easy way i'm quite sure then 100zl you had before will turn in 000..! !!

For being honest.

Do you know how much I invested into cryptos?
None $ zł or othr.

How much I have got? Smiley
I spent a lot for bills, but I manage to earn about 1BTC from october 2013 till now JUST from tasks, bounties etc.

So isnt better than how to turn 2BTC into 4BTC?
It is HOW turnover 0 BTC into 1 BTC Smiley
10674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mt Gox Restores Withdrawls Thread. on: February 10, 2014, 10:34:19 PM
So Gox now officially became a wallet service ?

Gox officialy became shitGox  Smiley

Just joking.

Wish them all best if they can handle !
10675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Wallet for Android / Re: Should password really be compulsory? on: February 10, 2014, 10:32:59 PM
So the question then becomes, which one is a bigger risk, forgotten passwords or malware.

And the second question then becomes, who is the right person, the user or the developer, to answer the first question.

From malware you can secure yourself

From forgotten passord you can secure yourself too.

But you cant secure your private keys when you will not set password and someone will copy it from your computer. Example - a good friend with pendrive Smiley

10676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: APPLE vs BITCOIN war of the titans :P on: February 10, 2014, 10:31:30 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if there was a competition type of strategy that they are employing. What better way than to force market dispersion and then to introduce their new product. The funny thing is that I think they want Bitcoin around, but they don't want to be involved with it so they can push their item.

[As a note, I don't think we can call this a war of the titans per se. I think Apple is sitting on like 10x the market cap of Bitcoin in pure cash reserves. Once again, that is just reserves.]

Sure you are right. And Apple is a huge competitor.  They want their new product to be best ever like always. But they are cutting their own chair.

Like I sad before. I will never use any "i" shit again.

I already sold my iPhone 5c.

Yeah, they always want their item to be perceived as either "revolutionary" or the "best." What the BTC community needs to do is to is to challenge them on the territory that BTC had worked to hard to create. If Apple does release something akin to BTC, this community needs to react accordingly. Unfortunately, just not using their products has very little impact on their ginormous corporation.

Guess you're right.. but seems like many computer geeks are using Bitcoins - many of them are apple users.
If all of bitcoin fans will stop using apple hardware it might mean something for apple $$.

Smiley

I always though that Apple is creative and great company.
Now I will NEVER again recommend apple for ANYONE.

Fuck them.
10677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big crash on: February 10, 2014, 10:29:01 PM
It was an hard week for BTC, still always positive to see how strong it really is.
What doesn´t kill you makes u stronger.

Yes yes and again yes! Smiley

But if we take a look into past we will see that bitcoin has got bigger problems before.

Remember big price drop after SilkRoad problem?
Or when China has stopped Baidu bitcoin accepting?

and those are from only about half year.

Bitcoin is strong - as we can see. But there always will be some problems....
those we must fight with!
10678  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Mt Gox Press Release - Feb 10 - they are claiming flaw in bitcoin protocol ! on: February 10, 2014, 10:25:41 PM
Yeah well...

this is easy to understand policy...

"This is not our fault -> it is his fault"

You know it is hard to say truth -> "We fucked up ... we are idiots and we did not done it well for the first time, and then  after some period of time our shit comes out"

It is always easier to say it is not my fault.

We all know it Smiley

"Who broke the window?"
"He did!" Smiley

I never finished my account verify at MtGox Tongue so I never yse their exchange. And what I know is that I am lucky.

Good luck to Gox! Let them build up stronger! Realy! Because they did a lot for Bitcoin world.
Most of you were  seling buing cryptos over there, you propably spent many nights @mtgox so it is some kind of legend I supose.
10679  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big crash on: February 10, 2014, 05:44:51 PM
Seems like crisis is over. Price are rather moving up than down.
10680  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Mt Gox Press Release - Feb 10 - they are claiming flaw in bitcoin protocol ! on: February 10, 2014, 05:43:20 PM
Seems like a lot of us misunderstood gox annoucment.

Like we alreadyy know bug was in their system not in bitcoin network.
