10721  Economy / Economics / Re: MESSAGE TO FEDS: PLEASE BAN BITCOIN on: February 09, 2014, 09:58:20 PM
Well, the Feds are just inclusive to the U.S.A. so wouldn't that mean that just Americans and U.S based Bitcoin shops would not be able to use Bitcoin anymore? The rest of the world would still be fine.
aaahok Smiley if so ....

but there is a risk of dumping coins after ban.

Better to stay like it is now Smiley and just spread it wider across globe!
10722  Local / Polski / Re: Chłodzenia potrzebny pomysł... on: February 09, 2014, 09:54:26 PM
Witam wszystkich,

Każda z nich pracuje non stop oczywiście, ciepło które wydalają (r9 280x temp 65-79 trzymają a r9 290 nawet do 90 w porywach biorą) powoduje ... no rzeźnie heh...
Wielkość pokoju to około 14m(kw)

proszę was o pomysły... jak to dziadostwo schłodzić?

Smiley
10723  Local / Polski / Re: 1000zł przekroczone... on: February 09, 2014, 09:51:58 PM
Dziś w nocy Bitcoin osiągnął historyczną cenę (dla Polaków) 1000zł. Myślicie że przekroczy również 1000$? Kiedy?

10724  Economy / Economics / Re: MESSAGE TO FEDS: PLEASE BAN BITCOIN on: February 09, 2014, 09:48:59 PM
Whenever something is banned, its price goes UP.  Wink So please, ban to your evil heart's content.

in this case if feds ban BTC (impossible)
prices will go down :p

because there would be no shops around for btc, only few people around interweb will use btc, so ban btc will not make price higher Tongue

(my guess)

price back to normal? What price is normal price of bitcoin, I think it is around $50

So funny Smiley

What means normal price - normal price for  me is a price that was stable for long time.

But you are right it might sounds wierd a little bit.
Smiley

and oh well, 50$ is for sure not a normal price for bitcoin Tongue

Fee is displayed as 0 BTC

what is the other output (1Bm6LhQZbcFhtbtTQ8KQbwz9K42FYvSg81 0.0155 BTC)?

Thanks for help

10732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency now illegal in Russia on: February 09, 2014, 09:11:04 PM
the price drop was caused by the sheep following the MTGOX ticker price, and then panicking on other exchanges to sell at losses.

the Russian financial laws have not changed for years, the meetings in January and start of February were not law making meetings. they were just discussion and information finding meetings.

chapter 6 article 27 simply says the ruble is the legal tender and nothing will change that.

if you truly believe that alternative forms of money/currency is banned from being exchanged/traded/purchased in russia. then i guess 'bururea de change stores were closed last week.... wait, their still open and running.

So it is good. But you must agree that for russians it is more confusing...

10733  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i need bitcoins on: February 09, 2014, 09:07:18 PM

10734  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning: Cryptsy Hacked? on: February 09, 2014, 09:06:05 PM
a 2 mins ago, i sell 2 Criptsy point to BTC, and with those BTCs i purchase LTC, to see what happend, and the system now show me all my balance correctly, so THIS IS NOT A HACK is a very UgLY Glitch of the system, because, when you trade BTC for LTC, those LTC stay on the "LIMBUS" but not add LTCs to your Balance.

please i insist this is not a hack, was an Ugly GLITCH

good.
Next time try to do not warn about hack of exchange before you check it good ;P

good that all is ok.

goodnite.
10735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How effective are USB Scrypt miners? on: February 09, 2014, 08:57:21 PM
I got 4 block erupter, i got it for free at bitcoins4currency.com and in the begining it was very profitable but now is not that much.

guys it is real easy to calculate profit..

but anyway with few usb erupters and according to difficult you will mine like almost nothing.

You can try your erupters to mine some new alt coin Smiley but ... it might be a waste of time as well
10736  Economy / Speculation / Re: use the necro function on: February 09, 2014, 08:55:06 PM
amid all this panic do yourself a favor and search for "shaking out weak hands" price may dip, but nothing about bitcoin has changed, the protocol is as safe and useful as ever. since nothing has actually changed that means these fluctuations are no more then blips on its path upward. what bitcoin actually is brought us to the price we are now, it had nothing to do with good or bad press. the press came because of bitcoin. nations are taking note of bitcoin now, sell at your own risk.

there is always panic time when price drops even 50$.
So Smiley just keep doing what you are and do not worry about panicers.

Let they sell BTC to us Wink

but i just feel so bad for anyone caught up in thew panic.... I feel like there must be a thread for newbies to look to if they have been in the game a short time. Some people may not see threads as jokers trying to pass the time if they are over-invested.

it took about 4 months after starting to gain confidence in bitcoin, and I only KNEW it would take off after using it to do my shopping online. its so much easier then using a CC it would be a huge shock to me if crypto didnt explode in a huge way soon. read soon in terms of years not days/weeks.

I think it does explode already last year Smiley
and the shockwave is moving quite distance now Smiley

10737  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Warning: Cryptsy Hacked? on: February 09, 2014, 08:52:09 PM

10738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency now illegal in Russia on: February 09, 2014, 08:50:50 PM
My wife is russian at we sold all our BTC, i just sold 10BTC at bitcoins4currency.com yesterday and the prices is fallin down.
well I guess this small price drop is caused by Russia.

Prices will return to normal after most of russians will dump their coins.

So sorry for Russia that they cant grow Bitcoin together with us.
10739  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: What does the wallet.dat file do? on: February 09, 2014, 08:43:17 PM
From what I have seen, the wallet.dat file in my BitCoin wallet is pretty much everything.  It seems like it is the file containing the identifying information so I can see how many BTC I have in my wallet address.  The blockchain itself is also important, but the wallet.dat file seems to be the one that says "Everyone else has "X" number of BTC, but you have "X" number of BTC in this wallet".

Right, or does it do something else?

When backing up the wallet, do you only need to copy this wallet.dat file, or other files as well?

you make a copy only of wallet.dat

you can print it as well cut a paper on two and hid it in two different places known only for you.

So - after you backup wallet.dat you can uninstall wallet and after some time install and recover your keys from wallet.dat file.

10740  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is blockchain.info a safe place to keep BTC? on: February 09, 2014, 08:32:56 PM
You have to remember that IF you keep money ONLINE

IF they will LOST their wallets, database etc.

You MIGHT have some problems with getting back your money.

I guess blockchain will payback all eventyally lost.
BUT - it is BETTER to keep your bitcoins on some storage devices.

You can make your own copy, even print it and you do not have to worry about it.

Keeping money online might cause some risk.

blockchain.info allows regular backups of the privkeys per mail or dropbox.
so i am not afraid that they will vanish.

as they dont know my privkeys i am not very concerned that they get robbed or try to rob me.

keylogger, dns spoofing could be more problematic

perhaps you are right.

blockchain allows backups, so if you do them it should be just fine.

And I did not say that I dont give a trust to blockchain wallet, but I just say that I feel better to keep my bitcoins closer to me Smiley
