10721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRATIS is the Next BIG THING! 102 DAYS TO TRUE MOON COUNTDOWN on: December 08, 2017, 05:29:07 PM
Stratis long-term holder and believer here. But, no way! I don't buy into these charts. I just checked and Stratis and Waves actually FELL the lowest of all my alts in this current decline. Which is a kick in the guts for me because I am a huge believer in both these platforms. ETH is doing well simply because it is well known and well used. Imagine when people switch to Stratis or Waves and see what a huge improvement they can be.

This is just the big wave of alt movements that both coins are following (and now retreating). Don't think 102 days is enough time for a moon. I'm waiting for way longer than that. Try 1000 days!
10722  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC above 150 USD in February 2018? on: December 08, 2017, 04:51:04 PM
I am very, very positive about Litecoin. When it first crept up above $100 I thought it was a flash in the pan, but yes even though it has lowered to below 100 again, its performance is still very promising when talking about the levels now and when every other alt is suffering. Charlies Lee made a good tweet. He says if you think Bitcoin is impressive with x20 gains this year, Litecoin has been even more impressive at x25.

Maybe I'm not so optimistic to see this 150 in February, but certainly, for 2018, I wouldn't be surprised at all.
10723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dash can go to 900 USD or not? on: December 08, 2017, 03:22:38 PM
It's already done a steady year so far, okay in these days it has finally declined but can't ignore what it's achieved, despite many misgivings from several quarters, including me haha. I read a lot about Dash and was convinced that it had too shady a beginning for me to think about seriously. And then the masternode issue was a sort of confirmation.

What happened next is that it has become one of the most solid coins, and for a niche purpose, I'd say Dash did really well. A little regret for not buying it before. $900 in 2018 and even $1k for sure.
10724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Cash will be listed on Coinbase on: December 08, 2017, 09:53:06 AM
Why would Charlies Lee try to stop it now anyway, the announcement was made already, they changed their minds and will now credit it. They should have done so earlier to get people to dump them off cheap, now they'll have lots of dumpers at premium prices. Then again, maybe they were actively doing this as a deliberate decision to help keep BCH afloat.

Old news anyway, has no more impact. Bitcoin Cash, do your best.
10725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Prepare for the Altcoin MEGA BULL gentlemen on: December 08, 2017, 07:29:44 AM
This BTC pump is the precursor to the next MEGA BULL run for Alt coins.

Once we start correcting, all the new minds in the space are gonna be looking for the next alternative to maximize their gains.

Seeing as Alts have already corrected quite a bit, it is the perfect storm gentlemen.

Hold on to your Lambos. Grin

Just a few predictions..

May 2018

ETH - $2000
BCH - $4000
XMR - $800
LSK - $90

Heh, I don't know about these prices. You're talking about more than doubling and tripling for some of those coins.

I do agree, that the likelihood is great for alt corrections upwards PLUS Bitcoin corrections downwards to point towards mouth watering BTC pair gains. I see LSK is below 50k sats now when it was over 100k a week or two ago. If it even comes up to 70 or 75 after BTC corrects, that's a quick 50% profit. Not so sure about BCH of all those four. But they do seem to be eating up some Bitcoin merchants. Very hard to predict.
10726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin or Monero on: December 07, 2017, 07:08:16 PM
I do not invest in Monero for my personal reasons. If you are asking about a choice between these two currencies, then I would advise Monero. It helps the criminals. And criminals will always be and will not disappear anywhere.

You'd be surprised at how much fiat and traditional banking and finance are the ones helping criminals, and not crypto. Of course, Monero is the current darling of dark markets, but not all dark market activities are criminal (as opposed to just being illegal).

Of course, we are all free to make our choices. I like Monero a lot, but I happen to think Litecoin has a much better future, with a very excellent development team that will take the project forward for many, many years to come.
10727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Finding Pre-ICO investors ? on: December 07, 2017, 05:09:28 PM
Hi there, the link does not seem to work for me, anyone can PM me some sort of invite? Just curious to find out if this group is really as good as it seems. I actually heard about one of the Hypeathons.

Second question: do you guys also have a strategy for all these coming regulations? You are already cancelling some visits or events because of the word coming out from US, but sooner or later, if you're not careful, you come across the strict attentions of watchdogs. Any thoughts on this?
10728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest $500 in Altcoins on: December 07, 2017, 01:13:30 PM
Good picks on any portfolio, to be sure... except if you invest in even 1 ETH, then you'll have just over $50 to put into Waves and Neo. Spread them evenly. In fact, with all the anticipation of what's going to happen to Bitcoin, it's now a huge gamble to buy at this price and hope it goes higher up instead of crashing.

Altcoins are safer for now, especially with the ones strong like Waves/Neo/ETH. If BTC goes even higher, you should still maintain your fiat value. If Bitcoin crashes, you can cash in for cheap Bitcoin.
10729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 95% of Cryptocurrencies will Not Survive in 2018 on: December 07, 2017, 12:46:16 PM
A lot of good ideas, and a lot of very, very bad ideas - I totally agree with this. The cracker is that not even among the good ideas are there all good plans, good ideas unfortunately are not the sole indicator of success... a lot of sad stories will riddle crypto world in years to come. Maybe the worst of all is that bad ideas can become successful for a very long time. This is all perspective of course. Some people will forever think Bitcoin is a bad idea even 10 years from now. But don't speak of 95%, that's 19/20. It will take far longer for most to "die".
10730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: December 07, 2017, 08:32:03 AM
Yesterday I was surprised by the result of the match Shakhtar Donetsk and Manchester city. Didn't think the Ukrainian players will be able to win the match. Napoli left out of the competition in the Champions League.

Yes, I think it is a huge loss to Champions League when a team that plays quite beautiful football like Napoli fail to make it past group stage. Then again, with so many other good teams in there, can we blame the last 16 for featuring the best? Does anyone feel any of the progressors didn't deserve their place? Because I think all of them made good values.

Skybet is making nice odds for Champions League winner now by the way. If you choose Barca, Real Madrid and PSG, Manchester City, you get good odds to me, still win profit if one wins. Favourite by bookie is PSG, but only 3.5
10731  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 TRANSFORMATION HAS BEGUN! CSNO TOKENS ADDED! 🎰🎰🎰 on: December 07, 2017, 07:29:25 AM
Just weighing in on a few sportsbooks comments and suggestions I've seen here.

1. The BitDice brand is good enough. I see nothing wrong with BitDice Sports or whatever tag needs to be added. The brand is recognized and can even tap into Dice players to grow.
2. Odds are one thing to attract new players, but I think small odd differences will not lure betters on other websites like Nitro. What people prefer is fair play... make the rules straightforward. No sudden or vague requirements. Settle bets quickly this is what actual sportsbetters like.
3. Cater to international audience first... there is a big Asian market and even African who all bet on illegal online places because they can't find legal markets. I don't know if this is possible but there are games and leagues you won't find on Nitro or even the big ones like Betfair. Crypto betting can open up BitDice as the only place to find these games.
While the number 3 of your points seems like a good idea there are too many unknowns, first we do not know the size of the more exotic markets so it is difficult to gauge how big of an interest adding those markets will generate, second it makes more sense to add markets for which we know there is already demand and then add those games later, and third an issue with those markets is that is difficult to get info about them so the odds most of the time are not the best.

Oh, yes, I'm sure there are many unknowns, which to me makes it even more attractive for a brand that has a reputation for pioneering the unknown... crypto gambling, provably fair and now the new version post ICO. We already can know the size of these exotic markets... in China alone, because of tight regulations and unavailable outlets for betting, you have $600 billion illegal gambling. Take into the rest of Asia who cannot be let into a lot of online casinos, and have to resort to gambling on illegal casinos, imagine what crypto can do for them if marketed to them.

Just wait for next year World Cup headlines the huge majority of betting comes from Asia Smiley

There are some unknowns, yes, but relatively simple to know if someone wanted to. Isn't that a fantastic opportunity?
10732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA rises to $ 5.3 and and kicked RIPPLE in TOP 4 on: December 06, 2017, 11:22:53 AM
This is crazy FOMO + market manipulation. Wonder when it stops.
It looks IOTA already reached the peak. and i will believe this is the best time to sell our IOTA. The correction will be happening and it seems the price will be plunged again tomorrow. The IOTA bullish trend already stopped and that means if we can try to reach the more chance to buy IOTA again.

I like Iota a lot, not as much that it was part of my portfolio but it is always on my watchlist. That said, this recent price increase is hardly organic, just one of those sheer luck of the mill runs that every alt has on its day. Either way, entry now is only for long-term holders. I will wait for 2018 and a dip below $4 to get myself some Iota. Great project no doubt, but the roadmap is years in the making and won't show distinct form well into second half of next year.

Besides, which alt can stop now with Bitcoin leading the way?
10733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats ur fav coin and why r u hodling it on: December 06, 2017, 10:05:41 AM
I guess we can't say Bitcoin since that is by far my favorite coin! But in my "vast" amount of different alts, I have to say that I like all of them... otherwise I wouldn't have bought them to hold. But okay, if I were forced to liquidate somehow, and perhaps only keep ONE, then my choice is Waves.

I know, the price looks ridiculous and it has been ridiculous for months now. But every time I open up my Waves, I just am reminded of how quickly it loads, how beautiful it looks, and yet it hasn't even fully developed yet. I know that can be a funny thing to say but when you talk about mass adoption, these things like UI are going to be so important for a platform, with a dex.
10734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I speculate that 95% of all token announcements are fake on: December 06, 2017, 07:55:54 AM
I might tend to agree with you on a sweeping generalization, however, we should be reminded that the same accusations were put against a lot of early people who tried things out like Bitcoin, and even earlier before that people who tried new forms of digital money. Nerds, sociopaths, socially inept people. Others laughed at them and thought they were wasting their time.

What about Cryptokitties? I bet a lot of people thought the players were idiots too. And look at how popular it is and how much money it's made for a lot of people.
10735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the hell are Crypto kitties? on: December 05, 2017, 12:30:10 PM
Yeah god damn game is breaking the Internet. Eh Ethereum network. Vitalik better get his ETH 2.0 up and running real quick. How is it that one ETH game causes everything to become slow and expensive?

And now I know for sure we have a lot of rich young people online. Selling digital cats for 250 ETH? Even now I see the cheapest one is 0.7 ETH. I don't even spend this much money to buy games.

Ok I admit, I am playing the game, but the cost is too much for me so I withdraw. I think.
10736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: LTC price 100 USD? on: December 05, 2017, 09:37:29 AM
That still does not change the fact that it is a coin that is being heavily manipulated and there is no way to deny that, of all the forks I will admit that bitcoin cash is the best and the only one that offers something really different from the vision of the core developers but the fact that the miners can so easily manipulate its price to obtain benefits is something that I hate about BCH.

Wait a minute, how did this talk about Bitcoin Cash and forking creep into a Litecoin thread? Litecoin is not a fork, yes, it was built in the mould of Bitcoin, and wanted to achieve the same objectives of BCH years earlier, but it has maintained very good relationships with Bitcoin developers. Remember Segwit? Soon Lightning Network and atomic swaps, and it will partially be because of Litecoin's assistance in helping to test and move the tech forwards. Meanwhile, Bitcoin Cash will never have all these techs, just... blocksize upgrades.

Litecoin is above $100 by the way!
10737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin will FAIL on: December 05, 2017, 06:37:20 AM
Circulation of dogecoin in the market was so rare, so I don't think if this coin will continue increase their value. In my sight sooner or later dogecoin will going into death you know why? It's because developers of this coin have a little bit movement and they cannot make improvements to encourage a lot of investors for the future.

However still! many users hold this coin because they believe that it was increase surprisedly. But for me holding of this coin is not a good idea, that's why I sell my numbers of dogecoin lastly lessen the risk of my income.

I think a lot of people severely underestimate the power of a community that actually loves something. And Dogecoin is one of those really unique ones that fall under this category. Dogecoin never promised to do anything other than be a fun, giving, joke meme currency. And to date, it has achieved all of that, and more. Just wait and see, the developers are all part time, and will come up with something in much time with more wow. Price wise anyway? Name a coin that has kept the value and growth of Doge, despite all the selling and dumping pressure. 2018 will not be its death, nor will 2019 or 2020.
10738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How is POSW still so cheap? Unbelievable gains potential. on: December 04, 2017, 04:58:31 PM
Actually, I do agree that POSW has been one of those very good projects with unique ideas and a promising future... but as one of the mid-participants, I have to say I was very disappointed with my time with them, losing a lot of PoS coins when they delisted and seeing POSW just fall and fall without ever seeing a floor.

I hope their ICO was successful, it would seem so if this news of recruiting devs etc are true. Trustless PoS? I didn't know previous PoS needed to be trusted;)
10739  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What i hapening with siacoin? on: December 04, 2017, 09:36:45 AM
Well, I hope you're wrong, even though it has to be a pump (and later a dump). I actually went in a couple of months back, thinking it was already dumping and felt happy for catching it at the tail end. Of course, Bitcoin made moves and the price just kept on declining. I'm a Siacoins holder by that turn of events haha.

Anyway, still not dismissing the coin. I just wish ETH miners would no longer be able to co-mine Sia, I feel that's the real problem keeping the price so low. Regular dumping every day on markets.
10740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN-Airdrop-Token Sale] Bitcoin Stake Ethereum Based Proof of Stake Token on: December 04, 2017, 09:14:48 AM
Interesting to see that a new crop of proof-of-stake coins are coming up, after the initial craze that I admittedly was part of until the demise of almost all my coins when POSWallet decided to delist 95% of their wallets. What I'm noticing now though is that most of the new ones are featuring quite a high percentage of returns... 100% annually in the first year to peter out to 10% after possibly only 3 years close to reaching its max supply. Isn't that a little bit short sighted? Yes, cheap to mine, yes, cheap transactions, but then what is the value after that?
