10761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: KYC procedure in online casinos does more good than bad or the other way around? on: July 05, 2019, 11:13:35 AM
I can not even imagine the use of providing passport data for online casinos.  In turn, I still want to mention the fact that real Casinos always monitor their visitors, and if a fraudster is identified, who the person is is entered into the database and the gunshot is not allowed to go to the gaming halls.  Of course for this you need to know the person completely.
How they can determine if their user is a fraudster? if he can't provide the KYC they are trying to ask? Opinions are shown that there were gamblers here that are in favor of KYC if you solely believe on that casino but there were some that doesn't really want to. While the rest, doesn't really care if they will be asked for a KYC as long as they are good gambling on their casino and they aren't experiencing any problem at all. So it's up to the rest on how they can distinguish their view about that.

naka pause ung trading Angry Angry Angry Angry anu bang problema nila
10765  Local / Pamilihan / Re: RIGEN MARKETING - Investing on Cryptocurrency is a SCAM! on: June 19, 2019, 10:04:36 AM

The closure of KAPA will lead to these investment scams to stop their operation as they are facing a legal charge here which is very serious in punishment.
This is people of the Philippines vs their business as it's the president who personally ordered for the closure.

Take note nangyayari na ito way back 17 years ago.

A Mall's glass doors were recently wreaked dahil dito sa RIGEN. Nag-uunahan mga tao na makapasok sa mall para kuno makapag-payout sila from this investment platform.  Roll Eyes
I constantly advise those people within my reach not to get into this clear ponzi-scheme investment platform; pero walang nakikinig.
People tend to ignore all types of signs and warnings kapag pera na pinag-uusapan. They become more and more desperate to grasp that easy money.
When this blows up, kawawa yung mga huli na nagpasok ng pera, walang matatanggap. tsk.

10767  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Justin Sun wins Warren Buffett lunch for $4.6M on: June 10, 2019, 12:19:07 PM
Di naman ibig sabihin nun na worth $4.6M gagastuhun nila in just a lunch or whatsoever, that +$4M will go to charity funds, talagang mag l'lunch lang sila kasama si justin at if sino man yung gustong sumama sa kanya. Sympre this will cover lots of talks regarding crypto.
Tama siya kasi magiging lunch with a cause yan.
10768  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 10, 2019, 11:39:03 AM
A message received, just now.

You guys also received a similar message?
Do we have to apply for KYC in the EGC cash out now, that's very inconvenient for us who have no account at sec bank.

I also received this exactly the same message today, even tho i have not done any cashout via EGC today. I guess they send it out to users that have used EGC before.
10769  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: wait, who owns the market? on: June 10, 2019, 09:59:28 AM
Bitcoins were mined by miners.

in the end the Bitcoin market is controlled from the btc whales .
Same on the fiat market the riches control the market Wink

regards
They control the market and manipulate it but they don't own it.
10770  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be junk/trash after ban in 2 big countries on: June 10, 2019, 01:08:14 AM
Bitcoin got banned in India and China so Bitcoin is worthless in these 2 countries.
Being banned in those 2 countries means it is prohibited but it doesn't mean that it's worthless. Give someone there bitcoin who can acknowledge the value of bitcoin and sees his reaction.

But who will buy 1 Bitcoin for $7000 ??
Look on exchanges and see how many would love to buy that at that discount.
10771  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to safely store big amounts of BTC? on: June 08, 2019, 09:27:37 PM
Ofcourse I would use a hardware wallet, but if I store them all on 1 wallet and I lose the wallet, or the house gets on fire and it burns, then I have lost those coins forever? Or are there still ways to get to the coins somehow in that case?
No. as long as you have the seeds, you are still good because you can recover that afterwards. The hardware wallet might get burned but you still have ways to recover it through your written seeds. So, you just won't keep the hardware wallet alone but you have to protect also your written seeds in some ways.

Writing the seed phrase on multiple different pieces of paper seems a good idea. If one gets stolen the thief still cannot access my coins. However, the downside is that if I lose 1 of the 4 parts of my phrase seed, I no longer have the complete phrase and it basically means I have lost the whole phrase.
Maybe, to tackle that problem the best solution would be write the phrase on 2 pieces of paper....divide them up into 4 parts each so I have 8 pieces of paper...1A,1B,1C,1D,2A,2B,2C and 2D and then store them all in separate locations. Would that be the best solution?
What I did, I just wrote those seeds altogether and back them up with other written seeds. I place the other one on a safe place that only I knows. While the other one, it's always with me.
10772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than gold and USD? on: June 08, 2019, 02:33:34 PM
For hundreds of years, gold has dominated the position of a paradise storage asset and does not know whether Bitcoin is a real threat. Between gold and Bitcoin there are still small but meaningful differences in investors choosing: Transparency, Safety and Legality
For safety and legality, most of the investors will choose to remain as traditional investors. While most of the new set of investors living in this generation would love to have bitcoin as our new trend of investment.

I am also of the believe that bitcoin is not as important as the USA dollar but bitcoin can still be of more value to the public than gold. But this would not be easy and it would require much patience and time
If someone has most of his investments lies to USD, he can say this easily but if someone who's into bitcoin, I doubt that he'd tell it.
10773  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Advise Newbies To Enter Bitcoin Now? on: June 08, 2019, 02:13:39 PM
In August 2018, when Bitcoin was $5000, I told a big investor "bitcoin will come down to $3000 and then you buy it".

Bitcoin came down to $3000 but the big investor disappeared.  Huh
Can you name this big investor? is he/she well known in any industry or that person is low key but you know that he/she is such a big investor.

I don't advise people anymore who has a total of zero knowledge, as in even the most basic things about bitcoin. Tendency of being blamed when the market falls is high.
10774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposed new law to jail Bitcoin holders, miners and sellers in India??? on: June 08, 2019, 01:47:00 PM
It's very sad to read. It's bad enough that no one wants to understand before making such laws. You are right, people see only bad aspects in bitcoin and do not notice its advantages.
Don't have conclusions yet, there's still RBI that needs to see this.
10775  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin goes down, no new rich people anymore on: June 08, 2019, 01:27:38 PM
How many rich people have been created by Bitcoin so far? For that we need to know about the distribution of coins by the users. And the only information that I could find about this topic is an old thread here in Bitcointalk:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=316297.0

According to it only around 350,000 people own more than 1 BTC (the data is from 2014, and the numbers will be even lower now). The number of users owning more than 1,000 BTC is only around a thousand.
Don't take him seriously, he didn't came to discuss but just to mock everyone who holds bitcoin.

You shouldn't feed the troll.
10776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Proposed new law to jail Bitcoin holders, miners and sellers in India??? on: June 08, 2019, 12:25:03 PM
But I doubt it will pass according to Pomp on Twitter, because they need to consult with the Rural Bank of India first.
They just denied involvement to the draft bill that has been proposed and they are still waiting for a copy of that draft.

Wait until RBI responds officially about that draft.

10778  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA Finals 2019 ( Warriors vs (Bucks or Raptors) on: June 08, 2019, 10:54:41 AM

Cheesy
10779  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to bitcoin in india on: June 08, 2019, 10:33:17 AM
Fake news alert people. As you can observe for the past few days, there are a lot of websites that telling that India has a law about cryptocurrency that any people involved for buying/selling/mining/generating bitcoin will be jailed for 10years.
As far as I know, it is still 'draft bill' about that case.

The Reserve Bank of India is denying any knowledge of a proposed ban on cryptocurrencies — despite reports that a number of governmental agencies have backed the draft legislation — according to a Right to Information request filed on June 4.
Read more here: https://www.coindesk.com/reserve-bank-of-india-denies-involvement-in-draft-bill-to-ban-cryptocurrencies
I've heard of this signal on social media and people are crying about it and giving different opinions of that. They never consider and read that word, 'draft'. They thought that it's already a final law that has to be passed on immediately.
Someone from India who's aware of their current situation should come out and educate us.
10780  Economy / Economics / Re: Looking at Bitcoin's price increase via YEARLY LOWS on: June 08, 2019, 09:58:16 AM
Yearly lows are increasing while people only look to the yearly highs. I don't care what people say and mocks most of us here about it that 2018 hasn't been a profitable year.
All they look to the highs but if they sum up and look also to the other side, we're going up and what's more exciting? what's going to be the all time low for the next years to come?
