"I saw her naked and I was in shock for a week, because she's very big. [/i]
So, naked Serena Williams shocks her tennis rivals in the locker room and dressed on the tennis court  Grin Grin

Serena is just so gifted, it's unbelievable. I think her "genetics" will always make her look a bit chubby - unlike Venus - but she didn't look very match fit to me often times anyway, because she isn't/wasn't looking too much after her fitness and enjoying a more non-professional diet. However, in whatever shape she showed up, she was always such a force on the court. She didn't even need to be match fit to crush her opponents and that speaks for itself. Not to mention her mentality and self-confidence even when staring at defeat, which only few can match - Venus, Azarenka, Sharapova maybe.

If she was in top shape like Halep, Kerber, Dementieva she literally would be unbeatable and would be the GOAT forever. But every player has their weakness, which is good Wink

that was intense. the points standings came down to the final 2 players in the final match. great stuff! i got pretty worried for @CCwatcher420 when you hit that 999 vs QQ hand against @iv4n. i think all 3 of you were near even stacks after that.

Hehe, yes, it was very intense, but Iv4n got the job done for CC. I felt your super tightness at your very own bubble, when you were just waiting for ANY player to get eliminated to get you qualified for the Final. You were down to a bit more than 3k chips iirc with blinds already high-ish and I guess, you would even have folded premium hands at this stage, if it was to call an all-in or something that would have made you pot committed.

ah, i assumed it was next weekend.

Yes, pretty sure it is, but there was no offical announcement yet, unless I missed it.

thanks for running the spreadsheet, it was super helpful in figuring out standings in real time.

Thanks, my pleasure.

Gratz @Iv4n for winning today Smiley

Final standings after 8 tournaments of series #2:

Congratulations to everyone who made it to the Grand Final, especially to CCwatcher420, I guess this was some nail-biting for you, if you followed Grin I fought, but came up short, was still lots of fun for me.

I think efialtis will show up here sooner or later and tell us when the Grand Final will take place, if there will be a small final and what is the future of this series.

Good luck in the Grand Final.

Blinds at 25/50 Iv4n raises to 100, Trofo calls and i go all-in on AKs, of course, they both fold because it's too early. I get nothing, stupid me!

Tbh I liked that play Cheesy It looked so donk-ish at that stage of the tournament, that I found it sort of brilliant again. Probably not very effective, when players know each other by now, but in a random tournament someone might bite seeing a donk in you.

much appreciated. good luck tomorrow!
tyKiwanuka thanks for everything you do! It takes time, it takes energy, I am sure in that! Thanks for the job you are doing! You make our games more interesting!
Thanks great work. Still an exciting push for the end.

Thanks. Good luck for today, may the suckouts be with you Grin

Will there be a runners up (losers Smiley) final game again this time?

efialtis can give you more information, but from what he told me, it's still not decided, if there will be a small final this time. And it's also still not decided, if there will be a third series at SwC - or if SwC will keep sponsoring it.
1086  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 30, 2020, 09:08:20 PM
i noticed that. this is the average place we finished in each tourney?

Yes, only for this series. It could get interesting, if for example one of the guys with 22 points is eliminated early-ish. Then not all hope is lost, because other ones could also finish outside of the points - and then the average place is the decider. So maybe for someone it might be enough to finish without points, if only he gets his average a bit down.

To make this scenario very interesting - for those not involved Grin - it would be good, if as many players as possible would join tomorrow. Today was all-time low by far.
1087  Economy / Gambling / Re: #2 Bitcointalk Poker Series (0.05 BTC & BIG BTC Ticket sponsored by SwC Poker) on: May 30, 2020, 08:39:06 PM
Gratz @Hhampuz, well played with that monster chip lead in the middle stages Smiley

Betwrong, 1r0n1c and arallmuus have qualified for the Grand Final already, congratulations. Hhampuz and SteamTyme have very good chances to qualify. The players in red are out of contention. For BitcoinGirlClub it is next to impossible to qualify, but it's still possible theoretically from my calcualtions, if a thousand things happen Cheesy Not a lot of hope for Trofo, SyGambler and myself, but lets see. The fight between figmentofmyass, bitmutiny, CCwatcher420, Iv4n and Improved will be interesting to witness - I hope you join tomorrow @bitmutiny.

As some of you might have noticed, I added a column “Avg” next to the total points. Afaik this is the tiebreaker for players with same amount of points and I added it as preparation for tomorrows final regular tournament of this series.

I did (or tried to do) some live update for the sheet during the tournaments, but only sorted it all after the tournaments were finished. For tomorrow I will do live updates and also refresh the rankings live. What does that mean ? Whenever a player gets eliminated, I will put his numbers in and then sort the table afterwards. Players that are finished for the series and can’t get no more points, I will put in yellow – that way each of you can follow the rankings real time and figure out better, what place he needs to finish in order to get to the Grand Final.

I hope this all works flawlessly from my side and I don’t make any mistakes, while also trying to get a spot in the Grand Final myself. So don’t trust 100% on the live rankings please, I will give my best though. If you see any issue, just report it in the chat at the tables maybe and I will have a look and fix it.

EDIT: another weekend, another bubble for me. ;(

For the sheet, you have one itm finish now, since I always take Top4 to make it easier due to missing data from series 1, where sometimes Top5 got paid. If that helps to up your mood Tongue

Recent opinion polls show Trump trailing badly in crucial states such as Florida and Arizona. The polls may be wrong (just like the case in 2016), so I am not going to comment about them. I would still say that Trump is not getting any boost from this pandemic.

Recent movement in the markets confirm that to a certain extent Wink

It's also ~4% surebet with betonline.ag (2.16 Trump at Betfair, 2.04 "The Field" at betonline), if anyone is interested.

-

Checking the odds for Arizona and Florida, Florida still seems a coin toss, while Democrats have slight advantage in Arizona:

Democrats odds: ~1.7 = ~58%
Republican odds: ~2.4 = ~42%

Ok, here are mine. Didn't have time to do some research on the south Korean ones and don't know nothing about that league - just that there aren't that many goals scored, so draws are more likely to happen and thus I tossed two draws in Cheesy. The Stuttgart odds are extremely low and I normally lay anything below 1.70 in 2. Bundesliga, especially for away team, but not much hope for Dresden I think. Even the players have already given up, before the game has even started. They just came out of quarantine and will face the best team in 2. Bundesliga on paper, that just got a huge confidence boost with an injury time win over Hamburg on Thursday evening. But Stuttgart is Stuttgart and 2. Bundesliga is 2. Bundesliga, so if they fail to win, this wouldn't be the biggest shock ever to me. But still for this MultiMaster I had to take the away win, because everything points to them eating Dresden alive.

Gangwon FC v Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors
Busan v Suwon Bluewings X
Gwangju FC v Ulsan Hyundai FC
Hertha BSC v FC Augsburg
1. FSV Mainz 05 v TSG 1899 Hoffenheim
FC Schalke 04 v Werder Bremen
Wolfsburg v Eintracht Frankfurt
FC Bayern Munich v Fortuna Dusseldorf
Seoul v Seongnam
Incheon v Pohang X
Hamburger SV v Wehen
Heidenheim v Aue X
SG Dynamo Dresden v VfB Stuttgart
Borussia Monchengladbach v Union Berlin
SC Paderborn 07 v Borussia Dortmund
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 29, 2020, 05:19:23 PM
These are the biggest clubs in Germany (for me), if you take into account tradition, potential, fanbase etc. and disregard current success, money etc.

1. Bayern München
2. Borussia Dortmund
3. Hamburger SV
4. Schalke 04 (huge tradition, from a small-ish city, but they have some special DNA)
5. Eintracht Frankfurt
6. 1. FC Köln
7. Borussia Mönchengladbach (small city, but huge tradition and shitload of fans all over Germany)
8. VfB Stuttgart
9. Kaiserslautern (small city, but complete region supports them more or less being in the middle of nowhere football-wise on a map, beautiful oldschool stadium)
10. Hertha BSC Berlin

Berlin being the team from the capital is even a close one and more what COULD be, if they could get their act together. Football or Hertha has some tradition in Berlin, but there is not such hype about the biggest club in town, like it is in Munich, Hamburg or Cologne. When they were in 2. Bundesliga, they would play in front of 5.000 fans - would never happen in other cities. You could also put Nürnberg at 10 instead.

Best fanbases in Germany:

1. Frankfurt
2. Frankfurt
3. Frankfurt
4. Frankfurt
5. Frankfurt
6. Frankfurt
7. Frankfurt
8. Frankfurt
9. Frankfurt
10. Frankfurt

Then comes Dresden. And I am not Frankfurt supporter Grin

This thread was going so well for such a long time.  I guess the shitposters are bound to infiltrate this subject too, why should it be any different?

I think this thread is going reasonably well tbh for…..

a) being in gambling section, where a lot of people are forced to post, even if no "gamblers" and
b) being about a rather generic topic, where everyone could write a few words and has an opinion.

I only deleted a few posts that I found very spammy, but all in all I think the users engaging here are putting good effort in their posts (again: compared to other generic threads in gambling). For my liking it's missing a bit the betting/odds aspect in the posts, but that is not only an issue of this thread. Some posts are maybe more suited for threads in other boards about US politics, but no need to be super strict as long as there is effort to be seen imo.

US politics and especially Trump will always polarize and “misinformation, bias, lies, truth, facts” is just part of this show. In regards to betting, this is pretty interesting, because you CAN always only see what you want to see. The difficulty lies in being objective and weighing all information accordingly. As a non-betting person, I can just look from one perspective, but as a betting person, I need to check both sides and figure out the sentiment – regardless of my own preferences. This is not always easy, but this thread helped a bit with that maybe and all in all I enjoy reading the posts here and engaging a bit from time to time.

Quelle: https://swcpoker.eu/

Quote
we will add fiat gateways in the game(s).
we can just sell chi (with a markup for convenience) and buy from the exchange to recoup it. Reversals are a concern so that needs to be addressed somehow - as we can't get the chi back ..

1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk Poker Series format discussion - Let's keep them all in one place. on: May 28, 2020, 12:51:33 PM
i kinda like it. it adds some additional incentive to play every game. what does everyone else think?

I think the Top9 in league points should get some prize. For example CCwatcher420/JTisCuban has 14 participations and is playing good poker throughout both series. Missed Grand Final in first series, but will probably qualify for it this time. If he isn't in the money there, he would have participated in every tournament there was and never has gotten anything back. This is kind of unfair (well, is Poker fair anyway ? Grin ) imo and regular players (add maybe good to it) should get rewarded at some point.

It's the same with you, but you at least were able to win some BTC in small final.

If you split some additional prize pool for league points between 9 players, it will be quite few for each one of them then again though.....but maybe better than nothing Wink
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: US Presidential Election 2020 on: May 28, 2020, 11:44:04 AM
It's funny, what little things can do to betting odds. After weeks of isolation at home, Biden showed up in public again at Memorial Day, had some interviews and calls Trump a fool for mocking face masks, there was quite some movement in the markets:

Source: https://orbitexch.com/customer/sport/market/1.128151441

His odds for Democratic nominee also went down to 1.11 (from 1.16-ish). And look at Cuomos odds above, they nearly doubled Shocked

-

And some stuff (maybe) regarding his cognitive state:

Quote
The former Vice President, 77, claimed that Delaware had declared its independence on December 7, adding that the date was 'not just D-Day'.

The D-Day landings happened on June 6, however.

December 7 is in fact that anniversary of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, in 1941.

Delaware also declared its independence on June 15, not in December.
Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8364247/Joe-Biden-campaign-denies-confused-D-Day-Pearl-Harbor-anniversary.html

Phew.

Quote
Biden's campaign has denied that the former Vice President confused the dates.

According to Fox News, his campaign team said that he was referring to 'Delaware Day' and not the invasion of northern Europe in World War II when he referenced D-Day being on December 7.

'Since 1933, the governors of Delaware have proclaimed December 7 as Delaware Day in honor of that day in 1787, when Delaware became the first state to ratify the Federal Constitution, thus making Delaware the first state in the New Nation,' they said.
Source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8364247/Joe-Biden-campaign-denies-confused-D-Day-Pearl-Harbor-anniversary.html

But still a bit alarming imo. If something like that happens in one of the Presidential Candidates Debates, Trump will eat him alive on TV.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 28, 2020, 11:05:21 AM
This talk about home advantage - we only had three, yes 3, home wins in 18 matches, 10 away wins and 5 draws. This is pretty unusual.

In 2. Bundesliga we had 8 home wins, 7 draws and only 1 away win.

No home wins in yesterdays Bundesliga matches (3-7-12 now) and 2. Bundesliga followed the trend and no team was able to keep the 3 points in their backyard Roll Eyes

I don't really believe in some pattern in Bundesliga, but just variance. So we should start to see some more home wins soon. However for today I don't like anything prematch. Leipzig looks like a banker on paper, also because of H2H, which is horrible for Hertha:

Interesting observation. Maybe these matches played behind closed doors without supporters really take away the home field advantage completely.

(...).

We haven't seen that many matches after the restart of the league but even now I'd say it's remarkable. I wouldn't place a bet based on all these (silly) calculations but it really shows nicely the influence and importance of a cheering stadium full of your supporters backing you up.

Yesterday was a bit better for the home teams, no away wins Smiley Bundesliga teams went 2-3-0 (making it 5-10-12 in total) and 2. Bundesliga 1-2-0.

As discussed in this topic you can't ever take away the home advantage completely, when one team has to travel, live in hotel etc., while the other is in their usual environment. But I think it's pretty clear by now, that a good portion of home advantage is taken away by playing behind closed doors. The (german hardcore) fans are not happy at all with these empty stadiums as you can see with all the banners being put in the stands. Not only because they can't support their team and go after their addiction, but because this is all so weird, when you are used to packed stadiums with great atmosphere.

Todays match between Stuttgart and Hamburg will have added virtual noise/fans during broadcast afaik and I am curious to see how it feels. Makes no difference for the players, but will maybe make watching this whole mess a lot more enjoyable.

Quelle: Soccer Manager Elite

Hab insgesamt 1.254 SMC verdient gestern.

6-0-1, with GD 26-8 is not too shabby, but Hertha has been killing it lately with their new coach (3-0 & 4-0). @1.35 not very tempting imo, maybe some over bet.

Definitely this is the best option. We could just count the number of player manually in every regular tournament and then notify SWC about the extra 200 chips per player in the prizepool for the grandfinal

I do track the number of participants per tournament at the very bottom of the main sheet and one could also look at the worst placing in each tournament. The problem is, that SwC has to do some setting in their software, because when the entry fee is increased to 1,200 (including the 200 extra chips) and you have 10 players, the entry fees total 12,000 chips, but the actual prize pool for that tournament is only 10,000 for payout. So these 2,000 chips must not belong to prize pool and I don't know, if this is easily doable for SwC.

Adding these chips to Grand Final should be easy, because they sponsor it anyway and would just have to up the prize pool accordingly.
