Theoretically, such a gap can be won back even if there are 3 games left before the end of the championship, but in practice, such a gap means that Bayern is already a champion. The leaders are gaining a large percentage of points and in order for this pace to change (Bayern began to sharply score fewer points, and Borussia, on the contrary, more), something extra ordinary must happen. Even if you look at the difference between the goals conceded and scored by these clubs, you can see that there are no prerequisites for such changes.

^ Not theoretically, I'm sure that Bayern Munich will be the champions. They are going to win the title again, just like they have been for quite a long time now. I really don't think this is going to change anytime soon because there are simply not enough teams or should I say not enough strong teams to compete with Bayern Munich.

And for Bayern Munich, even two or three points lead is a lot and at this moment they have 8 so I don't think there have any problems winning the title.

Good picture from twitter: Liverpool lost the title with such an advantage with three rounds to go:

I agree with what you said about Bayern and that their competitors are weak, so even a couple of points for Bayern is enough to win the title, but still anything is theoretically possible. But of course I will not bet on Borussia (the only possible competitor to Bayern) even if I am given the opportunity to bet at odds of 1 to 200.

Interesting match between Nice vs PSG seems this season PSG still can't beat Nice because so far in the league both of teams playing draw and PSG defeated at France cup and indeed regardless the results whether it will be lose or draw will not affect the position of PSG in the standings but they must win to lifted up mentally players especially this week PSG will play away match against Madrid however seems Mbappe will not play because of suspension

I think the fact that Nice is strong and playing well against PSG this season will be additional factors to motivate PSG players and to play the best of their abilities. The bookmakers estimate PSG's chances of winning at 1.85, which I think is a very favorable odds. An additional factor in favor of PSG is a longer rest than Nice - they continued to play in the French Cup.

It seems to me that thinking about profit is just as important as about trophies - we can easily see this in the example of Barcelona, which has won many trophies but the club is on the verge of bankruptcy due to the financial policy of the management. Abramovich easily spent a lot of money on the club (and got a lot of trophies as a result) for the simple reason that it was not his money, but money stolen from the people of Russia. I think that the next owner of the club will be more rational and I don't see anything wrong with that.

^ I guess he just wanted the best for the club but by doing so he can not harm anyone else or cause anyone else any problem. But whatever he did, need for the best for the club. At least that I can say from football's perspective.

The club became one of the best. And a club will always have to think about the profits. Otherwise, we all know what happened to Barcelona, they are still in very big debt. I think the new Chelsea owner will also think like that and do what's best for the club.

As I understand it, financial fair play measures were introduced for these reasons, among other things - there were many who wanted (like Abramovich or sheikhs) to inflate the club's budgets with "easy" money. These measures have proven to be effective - the EPL is the most profitable football league in the world to my knowledge and now we see that English football clubs are close to dominating the international arena again.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 05, 2022, 11:13:13 AM
The second leg of the Champions League is now only a few days away but in my opinion there are already several teams that are certain to qualify now like Chelsea, Liverpool and City.
Even though there is some speculation about them but I am very sure these 3 teams will definitely qualify because apart from being superior in terms of players they are also now superior in terms of Aggregate which makes it difficult for their opponents at this time.
With a result like this, I'm actually quite sure that the UCL Trophy will be brought back by the EPL club this season

Inter vs Liverpool and Lille vs Chelsea have theoretical chances - only two goals difference and if they are lucky there is a chance to equalize. Although of course, this is a significant advantage. City after the away match has an advantage of 5 goals and there will definitely not be any struggle even theoretical. It turns out that now the outcome is predetermined in only one pair - this is very good, because there is no interest in watching the game, the result of which does not affect anything (like Manchester City - Sporting).

Don't take it as rudeness... but it pisses me off now how you all talk about the competition as if there are no more important problems.
I feel how my DNA is changing, I could not even imagine that those who speak the same language with me would attack my country.
-skip-

Same for me. The war is not in my country yet, but I understand that it will be here (I am from the country of the aggressor - Russia, and I understand how it all ends). My DNA is changing because I don't understand how the whole world allows this to happen - in the middle of Europe, a terrorist country is trying to destroy another country.
No one is taking any real emergency measures. I'm scared to imagine what consequences all this will have - now everyone clearly sees that it's enough to be strong and you can do anything - rob, kill. And as long as you're strong, everyone else will just look at it.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: March 05, 2022, 10:25:33 AM
it's a very good result for Inter Milan they won 5 goals and it's important to improve the mentality of the Inter Milan team who will play Liverpool in the UCL Second Leg in a few days.
Inter Milan have had a difficult time the last few weeks hopefully after this big win they can return to their best form.
to be able to become champions this season Inter Milan just needs to be consistent and not lose many important points as happened a few weeks ago. it is very likely for Inter Milan to win back the Scudetto this season if they can play consistently until the end of the season.

After the previous home match, when Inter lost 0-2 to Sassuolo and then played 0-0 in the away match with Genoa - a clear outsider of Serie A, such a big victory is really very important. This will give confidence to Inter players. However, this is unlikely to increase their chances in the game against Liverpool, but most likely it will at least allow them not to lose points in matches with outsiders and average teams.

A country with resources can last much longer in isolation than a country that has technology but no resources. Naturally, sanctions will lead to a drop in living standards, but the elite have so much money that they will have enough for several generations. The West expects that by lowering the standard of living they will achieve a change of regime in Russia, but they do not take into account that the decision to impose sanctions is made by them. Consequently, the lives of Russian citizens are getting worse because of these decisions. In my opinion, such situations force the people to unite rather than stage a revolution.

It seems to me that you are too optimistic because you think that civilized countries are worried about the change of people who seized power in Russia and therefore impose these sanctions. In fact, everything is worse (for the Russians) - this is isolation. Same as for North Korea or Cuba. Who cares who's in power there? Nobody. Who cares how people survive there? Nobody. The main thing is that no problems should come out of these countries. Nobody cares about the rest. Using nuclear blackmail, North Korea regularly receives some food and humanitarian aid, and is generally isolated. This path awaits Russia.
Taking into account the fact that isolation also applies to sports, we will see in the near future how all Russian athletes who are at least something in the international arena will change their citizenship.

1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever subscribe to any tipser giving sports betting premium picks? on: March 04, 2022, 02:41:55 PM
Honestly you can very easily go through the discussions on the forum as well and people generally have various threads open which does mean that you can get advice from there as well, considering that you are seeking advice, generally I don't think that it is a good idea to involve anyone giving you tips since it's not assured that it's going to be 100% working and at the same time at the end of the day the person might end up scamming you. It's better to watch the sport yourself or ask your friends for advice as well if you are not sure but trusting someone just like that might not end up good.
Also another person made a good point about the chats on the gambling platforms, they also have a lot of people giving literally free advice and everything most of the people I have seen there didn't give any bad advice at all.

Unfortunately, all these scattered tips cannot be evaluated in terms of effectiveness. Sometimes people guess the result without any analytics, but this does not mean that they are good forecasters and that their next tip will also be successful. The value of forecasts can only be seen at a distance of hundreds of events. I've seen only a couple of threads of such scale here on the forum.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 04, 2022, 02:20:54 PM
The 8-point gap is not that big, we still have a lot of games ahead of us. Bayern will play Leverkusen this week, they may lose points. In this case, the difference can be reduced to 5 points.
I also think Bayern will be champions this year, but Dortmund can catch up, it's not impossible Smiley

Looking in the table, it seems that Lyon is the favorite of today's meeting. Guests still count in the fight for promotion to the cups. The hosts' goal for this season is to stay in Ligue 1. The situation at the bottom of the table is very even, so every point is worth its weight in gold. I also see chances for the hosts in the fact that Lyon is one of the weakest teams in away matches. It seems to me that we will see an even game ended with a draw today.

Bookmakers have a different opinion on this matter and predict a relatively easy victory for Lyon:

4.6 - 3.75 - 1.81

I think that will happen. Lorient of course needs points to break away from the four teams (all with 22 points) chasing him, but Lyon is not an opponent where he can score points. By the way, the bet on total over in this game (odds 1.91) looks very attractive.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 04, 2022, 01:31:30 PM
I think there will be nothing wrong (in a sporting sense) if Chelsea changes ownership, in the end it should not directly affect the club. The only change in my opinion that is likely to happen is financial policy - maybe the new owner will care more about the club's profitability than titles and then Chelsea will turn into something similar to Arsenal.

Chelsea has officially released a statement that Roman Abramovich will sell the club before Chelsea facing Luton in the FA Cup.
Abramovich was forced to sell Chelsea due to the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, where Abramovich is known to have close ties
to the Russian president.  So Abramovich's assets are in danger of being frozen as economic sanctions are imposed by various countries
on individuals who are with  the Russian government. In fact, since Abramovich officially became the owner of Chelsea in 2003, Abramovich
succeeded in turning Chelsea into a very formidable team in Europe. I think Abramovich is the best owner of the club, really providing financial
support to make the Chelsea squad strong. I'm not sure the new Chelsea owner will be as good as Abramovich, because as you said there is
a possibility that the new Chelsea owners will be more concerned about profits than winning trophies. Hopefully my guess is wrong, and Chelsea
get a new owner who is as good as Abramovich.

There are too many of these projects "quickly invested quickly received" and it seems to me that most of them have been unprofitable for a long time. I think that now the most optimal strategy is to wait for the market correction in order to see promising projects that are really worth something and invest in them. At the moment, the market is overheated and you can't tell the difference between a dummy project and a serious one.

There is one golden rule to check if the project is made for scam purpose or if it is a legit project. If the scheme gives you a lot of profit in very short period, this can be thought of a scam. No real project can have high ROI.

If you think that a project is unreasonable too much rewarding, you must investigate further before jumping into it. The good and long lasting projects may reward slow over time, but most of them are relaible and worh investing.

These arguments make sense, but they are not very useful - projects rarely promise huge profits and quickly. But most investors enter the project for this very purpose. What should they do if they rely on such reasoning? Go to the bank or just invest in bitcoin? They want to get a much higher return than from such investments, so they are ready to take on increased risk.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: March 04, 2022, 12:43:51 PM

It seems to me that Liverpool is not the kind of team that will play for a draw or just waste time stupidly. They are always focused on the attack (by the way, sometimes this is to their detriment) and even when everything is already decided they try to score more goals. The match will take place at Endfield, this is an additional factor that will drive the players forward. I think the second match will be more effective than the first and Liverpool will win 3-1 or 4-1.

Looking only at the result of the first leg i also agree that Inter has almost zero chance now to advance into the next round after they have lost that match with 0-2. I have watched that whole match though and i have to say that Liverpool was very lucky that they have won that match and even luckier that they even won it with a difference of 2 goals. Inter had several chance to score the first goal in this match and it was very much possible that Inter could have won that game as they were the better team for me.
Now of course Liverpool has the big advantage and they can wait for good counter opportunities. If Inter manages to score an early goal though, then i think everything is possible.

This is a very common situation in football (as well as in any other sport) when one opponent tries, has chances, but cannot realize them. And the second, more skillful opponent gets the most out of literally a meager chance. It's not an accident or luck - it's a skill. I respect Inter, but Liverpool's skill is much higher. Theoretically, Inter could have won "on moral and strong-willed" qualities, but after the result of the first match, this is almost unrealistic.
1095  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The world of sport reacts to the Russian invasion of Ukraine on: March 04, 2022, 12:24:20 PM
Even we don't like the idea of banning Russian players, it's good that there's pressure for Vladimir Putin. Not all Russians want the war and something should hit Putin's head into calmness state. But I don't how those things will be solved as there are now more civilians killed in Ukraine because of a Russian invasion. It's not as easy as Putin will stop the invasion. How about those innocent people being killed?

Putin needs to be stopped. Russia loves peace, I'm sure about that.

I think that after the end of the war, in which Russia will lose (you cannot win a war against the whole world), it will pay huge reparations to Ukraine. The dead people cannot be returned, it is true, but the destruction will be paid for by Russia itself. I'm not saying that this will happen right tomorrow, perhaps the sanctions will destroy Russia in a few years, but I am sure that this will happen - all these crimes that the whole world has seen cannot be hidden or canceled.

I can’t believe how things have changed but yes it’s true he’s been forced to sell Chelsea, and it’s evidently clear that his hand is being forced due to the threat of sanctions. Lastly I feel this is a sad situation as he actually tried to broker peace, gave up the working control of the club and further gave up his claim on the huge loans owed to him, and which owner would do all this hence I hope that somehow he yet manages to retain Chelsea.

Leg 2 will be played at home to Juventus, I think it will be a bit difficult for Fiorentina after being 1 goal behind in the first leg 1.
Fiorentina played very well tonight they controlled the game, made some dangerous attacks and shot more goals than Juventus but what has to be seen here is Juventus defense played really well in this match, I think it was a deserved win for Juventus, they set the tempo the game slowed down a bit and that was very profitable for them.
although in the second leg anything can still happen but I still predict Juventus will be able to win the game again.

To equalize the situation, Fiorentina need to score only one goal. This task does not look impossible, especially if you look at how Fiorentina played in the first leg - Juventus did not concede a single goal only thanks to the goalkeeper. Plus, it must be taken into account that during the second leg, the thoughts of the Juventus players will be more about the Champions League (if they stay there) and about the situation in Serie A than about the Coppa Italia.
