It makes a difference that Russia does not really have top football players worldwide. How would that affect the transfer market otherwise? It would be extremely dubious to fire (expell) Russian football players from football clubs because they only have Russian nationality. A statement will be made by the clubs, but there could also be a few smaller clubs that don't care about the situation and are now signing Russian footballers for a low transfer price.
It is a trying time for Ukraine and they have every right to be aggrieved. When it come to football the sanction is going overboard. Football is supposed to United all of us. Everything hangs in the balance of the political situation around the world. Russians should not be punished because of their nationality.
Yes, I agree with you. Football can be a good medium to unite us all. All football fans must still remember the racism that occurred in Lazio's body. Hard-line supporters were not happy if Lazio signed black players, that's the reason Lazio never signed black players. After cases of racism received more attention in football, black and white players were able to make good contributions to the clubs they played for.
War is very easy to say, but the effect is extraordinary, football clubs also feel aggrieved because of the effects that occur due to war.  Stop war, let football artists work on the field to defend their club and country.

I think racial discrimination is more dangerous than war. This is a very disgusting thing. Not only in football but also in cricket. The inequality of racism in the South African cricket team is quite clear. We must not consider people by skin color. Don't neglect anyone by saying black. It is very sad to see racist behavior of fans in civilized sports like football and cricket.

A panic sale in football! Roman Abramovich - Chelsea FC is for sale
And he give the profit to the victims of the war in Ukraine and to speed up the reconstruction of the country now and after the war. On the one hand, that's a really great move, but on the other hand, he may be panicking that his assets will be frozen, or is he being pushed into it? There is a lot of money, 1.8 billion euros. After almost 20 years and 20 titles, he has seen everything. So Champions League winners and five English championship titles. I hope an rich investor comes in and continues to do at least as well. Rumours: Todd Boehly is said to be interested. He is part owner of the L.A. Dodgers (baseball).

If Mbappe leaves PSG, their first target as a replacement is Lewandovski. His agent has good connections with the PSG board and the initial negotiations have started, apparently Lewandovski would be interested in a transfer.

This would also make a lot of sense for Bayern if they plan to go for Haaland. It might also be the last possible time to properly cash in on an ageing player, no matter how good he is. I see this happening if Mbappe does leave - which also looks likely.

Are you sure that Roman Abramovich is selling Chelsea FC? As far as I remember, they wrote in the news that he handed over management to the board of trustees. Of course, the owners have influence on the clubs, but it seems to me that this event should not affect the team itself much. Chelsea FC is one of the strongest and should not move from this position due to a possible sale.

Abramovich has recently announced to sell Chelsea and now reportedly he has started negotiating with various parties to realize the sale, I think actually releasing Chelsea was not Abramovich desire but now he is urged to do so due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Chelsea, which has been ruled by Abramovich for almost 20 years, will reportedly only be sold for no less than 3 billion pounds and maybe in the near future we will see an official announcement from Chelsea regarding the transfer of ownership of the club.

Political situation after Russian invasion to Ukraine make everything change and now Roman Abramovich as Chelsea owner have to sell his club Chelsea FC after his decision more than 19 years with many great achievement getting. I think without acquisition by Roman Abramovich every one or Chelsea fans never see how become great and the best team of Primer League with many trophy getting in 19 years after acquisition by Abramovich. I think England government have mixing between politic and football make Chelsea have to sell and change owner, I think will not have the same situation for Chelsea in the next years without have loyal owner like Abramovich.

I can’t believe how things have changed but yes it’s true he’s been forced to sell Chelsea, and it’s evidently clear that his hand is being forced due to the threat of sanctions. Lastly I feel this is a sad situation as he actually tried to broker peace, gave up the working control of the club and further gave up his claim on the huge loans owed to him, and which owner would do all this hence I hope that somehow he yet manages to retain Chelsea.

Robert Lewandowski would have left the team even in the previous summer but he chose to stay for one more season. But he is very likely to leave the team at the end of the season now. And I'm very sure that there would be a couple of teams on the line to sign a wonderful striker like him. But I didn't know that PSG were interested in signing him too. And it is going to be depending on the Haaland transfer actually. All of the top clubs would aim to sign him first and Lewandowski would be the second option I guess.

Anywhere the is a rumour of Lewandowski transfer, then the rumour of Haaland will follow immediately. These two strikers are doing well in Germany but there is a big difference between the two strikers. The difference is the age. If I were Lewandowski and considering my age I will not be in any haste to travel out of Germany especially to Spain, Italy or England where he will witness a stressful football. If he is linked to psg I think it is a good one for him and his age. In the other hand the young Haaland is free to go anywhere and shine but if I were him I would consider the club for the big guys which is Madrid.

Bundesliga looks like an easy competition depend with Primer League, La Liga or Serie A because have witness stressful football and all player need stronger physical, I think Primer League to heavy for Lewandoski and better keep stay for Bayern Munich maybe one or two years later, but for Haaland have young age not worry about which competition choose next season between La Liga or Primer League as looks worth competition for him, I am so sad if Haaland keep stay on Bundesliga although with Bayern Munich because he has potential as bigger player later.

I think there will be nothing wrong (in a sporting sense) if Chelsea changes ownership, in the end it should not directly affect the club. The only change in my opinion that is likely to happen is financial policy - maybe the new owner will care more about the club's profitability than titles and then Chelsea will turn into something similar to Arsenal.

I will be following this deal with great interest. I hope in the end Chelsea will be bought by some public person and not by a murky "investment fund" from some offshore. Because in this case, I will assume that this is a fictitious deal and Abramovich simply shifted the asset from one pocket to another in order to avoid sanctions. However, judging by the mood of the whole world, now it will be very difficult to do this.

Will impact for Russian football player and I think without stopping war invasion made all Russian player face difficulty on transfer or they challenge on other competition except Russian Primer League. I think FIFA not have punish with  Russian football because the invasion made by Putin as president and not any support giving by football Russia team, so sad when heard about Spartak Moscow and Russia have banned but they not have chance how back to FIFA competition again.
Chelsea has spoken against the attack but as a person Roman Abramovich hasn't spoken against the war publicly. Russian billionaires that have been linked to Putin have redirected their assets. Because of Putin Roman Abramovich is going to lose what he worked hard for since 2003. We don't want Chelsea to be like Arsenal or QPR. Abramovich was more involved in Chelsea other than signing the cheques he cared about the club's performance in all competitions

The only change in my opinion that is likely to happen is financial policy - maybe the new owner will care more about the club's profitability than titles and then Chelsea will turn into something similar to Arsenal.

Chelsea has officially released a statement that Roman Abramovich will sell the club before Chelsea facing Luton in the FA Cup.
Abramovich was forced to sell Chelsea due to the impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, where Abramovich is known to have close ties
to the Russian president.  So Abramovich's assets are in danger of being frozen as economic sanctions are imposed by various countries
on individuals who are with  the Russian government. In fact, since Abramovich officially became the owner of Chelsea in 2003, Abramovich
succeeded in turning Chelsea into a very formidable team in Europe. I think Abramovich is the best owner of the club, really providing financial
support to make the Chelsea squad strong. I'm not sure the new Chelsea owner will be as good as Abramovich, because as you said there is
a possibility that the new Chelsea owners will be more concerned about profits than winning trophies. Hopefully my guess is wrong, and Chelsea
get a new owner who is as good as Abramovich.

Abramovic has been made the scapegoat of Russia's invasion of Ukraine; all of his properties are at risk of being taken over; he loves this club and never wanted to sell it, but he had no choice now to avoid sections; he's already sold his multimillion mansion; now he's put the club up for sale, and I believe he'd sell it to the right man who loves the club as much as he did. He'll be sorely missed. He was a guy of passion, and I hope the new owner sees the club for more than just riches.

Abramovic is abandoning the UK economy entirely.

The ownership of chelsea is currently still under speculation, although many big investors from america and switzerland are trying to acquire chelsea, but so far it seems that no deal has happened and of course it is very interesting to see who will finally succeed in acquiring chelsea.
I agree with your thoughts, because now the fate of chelsea will be largely determined by the background of the new owner, if indeed the new owner of chelsea is more concerned with profit than achievement, of course it is not impossible that chelsea will end up like arsenal, but if the new owner is a football lover of course he will make chelsea can be a bigger club than it is today.

FC Bayern München, FC Barcelona and Real Madrid are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Florian Wirtz. He still has a contract at Leverkusen until 30.06.2026 and his current market value is about €70m according to transfermarket.com.

Bayern, Real Madrid and Barcelona are watching Florian Wirtz closely for the future. There's nothing advanced with any club yet. No move is expected in 2022 [@FabrizioRomano]

Source: https://twitter.com/iMiaSanMia/status/1499394536350498819

I really think Wirtz would be a great reinforcement for all three clubs. At 18 years old, he is one of the top talents in Germany and if he continues to play like this, he will have a great career ahead of him. The most important thing is that he gets enough playing practice. So staying at Bayer Leverkusen wouldn't be the worst idea, IMHO. What do you guys think?

He is one of the top star in Leverkusen but honestly at the age of 18 and playing as a midfielder, there isnt that much you can do with him. According to Fabrizio's tweet that there wont be any expected move in 2022 as Leverkusen is still planning on keeping him. Pretty sure this is the best move as he could worth alot more in the future if he turned out to be a great player instead of just a one season wonder kid

The situation would affect players whose contract are/will soon be up. It is possible that some players would not renew their contract with Chelsea because the future of the club is not certain. Chelsea should clear their head and continue in their form. The new development will take time but they will adjust accordingly.

Still, it's early to call. My heart is heavy after hearing this news. The best outcome for Chelsea is what matters most to me. It's Abrahamovic's decision whether to choose that option or not. I don't think there was another owner who put the same amount of effort into the club as this gentleman did. The owner is committed to seeing the club succeed at all costs. The only thing I hope for is another owner who cares as much as he does. Your absence will be greatly missed.
