1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Internet is one limitation of bitcoin on: June 03, 2023, 08:44:26 AM
I am facing a real world issue that prevents me from using Bitcoin.

I live in Pakistan and for last three days cellular internet service all across the country is suspended because of prevailing law and order situation. Internet is working on fixed line connection that is reaching homes. So there is still some connectivity available.

If government shut down internet service even on fixed line connection then there will be complete internet blackout in the country and in that situation we cant use bitcoin.

I think this is also one of limitation of bitcoin that we need internet to use it.

Bitcoin is the one thing that keeps Bitcoin accessible to the rest of the world without the internet it would probably be difficult to access Bitcoin. But the problem is you don't have access to the internet so that issue wasn't really on the Internet but on your government since they shut down the internet service in your country.

There's nothing you can do about it but wait until the services get back, I mean the internet is one of the important things to access Bitcoin, I don't know if there is an easy way to access Bitcoin without the help of internet service. But for sure internet services will be fixed soon on your country I cant imagine the government preventing people from using the internet, maybe restrictions.

1083  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Advice to a Friend on: June 03, 2023, 07:29:06 AM
"The advancement is so fast.  Can they just slow down" this is coming from a friend who is a noob and still trying to find his way around Bitcoin.

He already invested in Bitcoin some time ago and tries to dedicate at least 30minutes to 1hour to learn about Bitcoin after work. Recently when we met and we're discussing about his learnings and what new thing he has learned. He started to mention the latest advancement in the Bitcoin space from Bitcoin ordinals, BRC-20, etc. and how he gets confused trying to keep up. Because it is like as soon as he's trying to understand on concept another new one is springing up somewhere. I get his point. Most times, this can be really overwhelming. I think there is a fear of missing out here and being behind. What advice do you have to give to my friend who is trying to juggle getting grounded in the basics and keeping up with these latest update on Bitcoin?

I mean yes the technology is upgrading day by day and the Ordinals and BRC-20 is a new thing in Bitcoin but it doesn't really matter since we can all learn this thing yes there is a fear of missing out here, and its always a thing on cryptocurrency, bitcoin, market, etc. If you really want to keep up with things just continue learning for sure you're going to learn what you needed, Ordinals and BRC-20 are just new hype on the cryptocurrency work.

One of the things here is you don't really need to always keep up there will always be new things in the crypto world, if you don't get on that new hype you could always get on the need one don't you do not need to always get in since that can cause you a lot of lose.
1084  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion] Pagbili ng Bitcoin Physically/IRL P2P on: June 02, 2023, 11:59:11 PM

1085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin price is always affected by world market news, why ??? on: June 02, 2023, 11:42:50 PM
I have been in the market since 2018. The paradox I find is
The market is always changing according to world news. It has nothing to do with bitcoin
For a small investor like me, this is undesirable
I want to ask experienced investors?? How can you capture this potential market?

I mean it's normal since traders or holders of cryptocurrency and Bitcoin have emotions when they see good or bad news it could easily affect their decision to sell their holding or buy more crypto. There are obviously a lot of factors that are affecting the market so it's difficult to predict movement but any bad news that would make sense could easily affect the movement of the market. I mean it's the same with other investments. The thing here is most of the time market is manipulated since investors can easily be afraid of the drop or can be encouraged to buy more when they hear more great news.

It is the nature of it so we're going to need to adapt to it, learn, and make strategic plans on investing and how are going to exit the market. You lose if you get manipulated by the news.
That creates a huge impact on our mentality. If before we simply ignore news but these days, this will even dictate to us what we gonna do next. That is why it was hard to think that Bitcoin price will become stable while people make decisions based on what they heard and read on the internet. If we can see some people are holding long-term and only potential coins, it is possible these days, these investors are not investing in hyped projects like meme coins as they have learned that there is money with them and eventually changed their behaviors and market insights.

We can't really blame them most investors these days invest most of their money so they don't really have enough for there selves since they already invested it all in cryptocurrency. When they don't have enough cash they will rely on selling their Bitcoin the tendency is they will lose since they are forced to sell, simple news could easily make them afraid, and make them sell since they are afraid to lose their investment because it is all of their money.

It's obviously a new investor's mistake putting all of their money in one basket, they should know that even though it is Bitcoin it is still a risky investment and should invest a small percentage of their money.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The effect of Bitcoin on children on: June 02, 2023, 11:16:23 PM
I am sharing a real story. Last 31st I went to my cousin's wedding. The area where I want to host the wedding is like a village where I don't have good mobile network, so it won't be wrong to call such an area as a remote area. After eating and drinking, me and one of my cousins went out for a walk and saw three boys drawing something in the mud. I approached them with interest and watched them make the Bitcoin logo in the mud and compete to see who could make the logo more beautiful. So I asked about this logo and one boy said that his parents have this bitcoin and his father taught him to draw this logo and he taught his friends. I was very happy to hear this from the boy because in such a village where there is no good mobile network people are involved with Bitcoin.

In this case of the boy, I remembered one thing that the children will be developed in the same way as the parents raise their children from childhood. The boy's father may want to expose his son to Bitcoin from an early age.

I've said it many times already children doesnt really know or can really understand how Bitcoin could works but teaching Bitcoin to them is actually not a bad idea since they have an idea about what is Bitcoin and that could make them wonder about the future of Bitcoin maybe they can be an investor in the future, you can really push someone on the cryptocurrency you just teach them the basic of it and then they will decide if they are going to research more about it learn it starting investing or trading, etc.

It a good sign in my opinion that children already have the idea of Bitcoin since they are a lot of people that doesnt know bitcoin until this day children in your area already have an Idea and can draw its logo.
1087  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Danger of posting your bitcoin address online on: June 02, 2023, 10:48:41 AM
1- You bitcoin address in not your bitcoin but a house for it just like your bank account.
2- Your bitcoin address can only be be compromised if you share your personal details or private key along with sharing the address.
3- People may say that your bitcoin address can be likened to your bank account and and email address, I have read it online myself. They are right to some extent, but the privacy of bitcoin is far better. Why? Through your bank details, your details can be known by diggers, same goes for email address if you use your real identity to open it.

But for bitcoin, nothing will be revealed relating to you by merely seeing your address. It is again good to use non-custodial wallet for keeping your bitcoin safe and own total right to it.

I mean you are right, but I guess it's just how Bitcoin is created since all of the transactions are recorded and everyone can see them, I mean bitcoin addresses are public and there's no way you could get hacked by just posting your Bitcoin address online, but I guess there is still a danger of posting it so you could just send to if you someone that your gonna have transactions with.

How can you see the Bitcoin address that is linked to your bank account? Seems not possible and I don't think you're going to use a wallet that publicly shows your wallet is linked to a Bitcoin address. May centralized exchanges do this but they don't really give personal information easily for someone to see.

That doesnt make any sense since no way that AI is the real reason for that, There are already tons of AI that are developed and I don't think we need or going to use all of it, one AI that can do most of the things or that can help you to your task what so ever is already enough. Having talk2satoshi AI seems to be useless since we all know that the AI answers are just nonsense and just lines that are made by the developer, I just doesnt see the reason for it. But I guess its just his little project so creating an AI is still a great practice.

1093  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [Discussion] Pagbili ng Bitcoin Physically/IRL P2P on: June 01, 2023, 08:09:09 AM

1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating unemployed friends about Bitcoin on: May 31, 2023, 04:42:52 PM
First of all I am the only person in my area who has a basic understanding of Bitcoin. That is, in the region where I live, no one but me knows about Bitcoin.

The maximum number of friends I hang out with are unemployed. They are not uneducated they are all well educated in their respective positions but due to lack of adequate facilities they are unable to find any employment. When we walk together I talk to them about Bitcoin but they tell me that they have only heard about Bitcoin on various social media and they think that if anyone is involved in Bitcoin, the administration of our country will arrest them. Because it is through this kind of news that they are aware of Bitcoin. But when I tell them that I have a rough understanding of Bitcoin. Then they don't want to believe me when I tell them all about bitcoin they believe me. And I assure them if we all get involved in Bitcoin maybe our unemployment will go away. Because there are enough ways to earn money with Bitcoin.

Out of all my friends two of my friends have some savings and when I told them about the investment they became very interested in investing but I didn't tell them only the positive aspects of the investment I told them the negative aspects. And I know the rest of my friends would also be interested in learning about Bitcoin but I just don't know how to start teaching them about it. Because bitcoin crypto currency is completely illegal in my country. So how can I help my friends in this regard?

Hope you guys can give me proper feedback on this and help me move forward in helping them.

I mean you don't really know if you're the only one that has knowledge about Bitcoin in your area, they might already try it or know about it.  Also, you cant assure them that if they get involved in Bitcoin unemployment will be solved that's not true at all, not everyone who knows or is involved in cryptocurrency or Bitcoin wins, there are a lot of losers as well, it's a risky investment obviously.

For the most part, what you can do for them is just teach them about your knowledge of Bitcoin what is bitcoin, what is it used for, and some basic knowledge that they can use if they really want or they are interested in investing in Bitcoin but don't promise anything on them.
1095  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Mga Influencer Ba Tayo Na Tutok Sa Cryptocurrency? on: May 31, 2023, 03:47:09 PM

Kookoocrypto https://www.facebook.com/kookoocrypto?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Luis Buenaventura https://www.facebook.com/helloluis?mibextid=ZbWKwL
Marvin Favis https://www.facebook.com/marvingozonfavis?mibextid=ZbWKwL

1096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Start a lending business on: May 31, 2023, 02:39:27 PM
I would like to become a lender like others on this forum, but as you can see from my account, I don't have the necessary credibility to operate like others.
I have the capital to lend, but it is normal that with such a low-level account, those wanting loans are worried about the collateral scam.
Are there any other ways to get started?

Do you think I can act as a lender by leaning on another user who escrow and who holds the collateral?

Any suggestion to start this business is very welcome.
Thank you

It's easy since you are the lender you could easily post your lending service on the Lending thread, post your lending agreement, etc. But since you are still a jr. member you might want to be familiarized here in the forum you make sure you know what you're doing because lending is a risky business there are a lot of cases here in the forum where lenders lose their money so you should be aware of that.
Still, you are the one that is going to approve every loan request so you could just pick trusted members to avoid getting scammed also don't forget collaterals if you're suspicious of lending to other members.

1097  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How I accumulate bitcoin as a newbie? on: May 30, 2023, 11:56:13 PM
The investment of bitcoin is really cool opportunity and really wants to grabs the time here with you to learn and become like most of you who have accumulates tremendous bitcoin breathing different prices in your wallets. I will love to follow step by steps advise that you personally used to gain value of digital assets in short or long term investment/trading?

Please just attend to this helpful questions amicably and be polite in your answers?
Where do I begins? What's the best wallet you're using? Where do I buy bitcoin with easy exchange without scams?
Finally, should I do it now that the price is not stable or I should wait a little in case it goes down again?  We are all here to learn.

Make sure that you have enough knowledge about Bitcoin before starting to invest since Bitcoin was a risky investment don't put money all of your money and only use money that you can afford to lose. Dont buy Bitcoin if you don't really know what it is. Just Buy Bitcoin, you could start accumulating Bitcoin buy a small piece every time you have money or maybe every time you get your salary. I mean there's no easy way actually to start with investing but just to buy bitcoin. From there you could accumulate bitcoin for the bull run, or maybe you could also try trading other cryptocurrencies.

You could also try doing some work for Bitcoin there are some services that you could offer even here in the forum where your clients will pay you Bitcoin for your work, or just find a job and then use your salary to buy Bitcoin.
1098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin bonus real or a scam? on: May 30, 2023, 11:22:01 PM
Bitcoin bonus is a website that claim to user can earn bitcoin for no cost. But user now have a question is bitcoin bonus real or a scam. These days people are caught in scams specially online scam so people are scared to believe online website. But bitcoin bonus is well updated website and designed and developed by professional people. The first bonus given to new comer is $5, which is a catch here, why would anyone give money just for signing up on website.

Sounds like a scam website anyway, I mean there are some Bitcoin faucets where you can actually earn a small amount of Bitcoin for claiming for a very long time or years you might actually earn a small amount of Bitcoin and claim it on your wallet. But that doesnt really work these days, might as well do other things than wasting your time claiming a small amount of Bitcoin. Im not sure if the website you telling is a faucet, but just dont trust websites like this and make sure to not give any of your personal information. There are a lot of red flags on that websites just think about it why they are giving free money if they actually give 5$ for new comers.

I mean If you really want to earn Bitcoin do actual work to earn Bitcoin or just buy Bitcoin since it's the only way, or just get a job then use your salary to buy Bitcoin it's actually easy.

1100  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Happy to start bitcoin lifestyle. on: May 29, 2023, 10:42:40 PM
The most favourable investment is bitcoin, and I call it the most favourable is because it gives choice of what you want to invest, time, period, management and operations. I would love to take this opportunity to the next level, I don't investing any cash entering my hand even if bitcoin is going down or up, I still prefer it to others. I have seen a lot of testimonies of bitcoin despite the challenges it has faced but still good to mingle our mind with bitcoin lifestyle and love it, advertise it, campaign hard for it and trade cautiously. Bitcoin have touches lives my won't be exemption, I must learn, grow and earn from it.

What do you mean about lifestyle? Do you mean like getting into cryptocurrency?

Its a great investment but don't take all the risk and invest everything in it just because you believed in it, Yeah bitcoin is great and chance a lot of lives but it doesnt mean that all of us will, and it doesnt mean that you're going to as well its the reality. Dont put all of your money in one basket it is still a risky investment, most traders will recommend only 10% of all of your money can go to cryptocurrency investments and then invest the rest on other investments maybe trying some passive incomes, apartments, as well as creating emergency funds, savings, in realty you're still gonna need some money on the bank in case you need cash you have something that you can easily withdraw. You can really just withdraw your bitcoin any time since its a volatile market price if you make your bitcoin as your only savings you will just lose money most of the time.
