1081  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1 Bitcoin will be $173,566 before November, 2025 on: August 25, 2023, 01:20:02 PM
IMO even doubling the last bull market peak, also known as the ATH, is too ambitious. Over 93% of coins are already mined, it's about time for the market to stop caring about halvenings. I think it will peak at slightly above $100K for a small period, and there will be a lot of profit taking during this psychological barrier. And in the next bull run the price might even fall below $70K, because we already have a precedent of the price falling below the previous peak, when it crashed to $16K and $20K (2017 ATH) failed to act as support.

Yes, just like what we thought in the last 2 previous bull runs, 2017, we say that it can reach $50k, and in the last great bull run, we are looking at $100k. So it's very different from what we predicted and what the market does.

Maybe at $100k we can see profit taking already and we can understand that. At least it will be a big accomplishment if we see 6 digits as our all time high in 2024-2025.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos Should Also Be Prepared For Health Emergencies on: August 25, 2023, 12:42:08 PM
I'm also sure that for an international casino class they definitely provide a first aid kit. However, the first aid kit will not help people with heart attacks at all, the best way is to take them directly to the hospital.

Yes, I agree with you and the previous comments that the casino probably had a first aid kit but that it did not include a defibrillator. In large organisations it is not uncommon for there to be a defibrillator for every x number of people and at least some people are trained to use it if necessary.

However, I imagine that statistically it is very rare, and that it is not just because of one case that casinos the size of this one are going to be forced to have defibrillators and train their staff.
Yes.. maybe it's a new assignment for casino establishments that they have defibrillators in case a visitor has a history of heart disease.

But this is also a warning for us not to go to the casino alone. We will never know what will happen to us next. Therefore it is important for us to always be vigilant, alert and always anticipate the possibilities that will occur.

Someone's selfish attitude and greed make them choose to go to the casino alone because they don't want to lose. Because if they get a victory they have to share it with their friends.

Yeah, if I'm not mistaken, the casino's that I have been, they have like complete set of health workers with heavy equipment ready in case that something went wrong in their casinos.

I personally witnessed it once and they are quick to response in such kind of emergencies and they don't like to have this kind of situations on their floor. And I was told that emergency health personnel are there 24x7 being paid by casinos. So not sure how this casinos are not prepared or at least look the machines to help their customers in such situations.
1083  Economy / Speculation / Re: How passionate are you buying Bitcoin now? on: August 24, 2023, 12:52:25 PM
I have never been passionate making any investment than I am buying Bitcoin of recent. While a part of me is so optimistic that I am making the best decision with my funds, a part still entertain some fears. Well, I feel the aspect of fear is normal since I am not buying with 'spare money' as some people will call it... that concept of spare money does not really resonate with me as every penny I have is very important to me now.

Actually, my little buys might not influence the price much but my joy is having Bitcoin and holding unto it with the believe I will be among those that will look back sometime in the future and congratulate myself for taking that bold step when some people were doubting and panicking.

I draw my inspiration from the saying: "you will regret more for opportunities you never took than those you took and they went bad"

Yes, so true, and specially in bitcoin investment, this is not a race, like 100 meter dash, but a marathon. So it's going to be a long and hard grind but every small steps are very important, like just stacking sats that might turn out to be big in the future.

So just continue with your journey, I know that it's going to be very mentally tough for each and everyone of us. But hey, if we have a dream then definitely, we can go and chase that one big dream of ours and maybe we will have 1 BTC in our wallet.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After FTX collapse, some call for a return to decentralized roots on: August 24, 2023, 12:24:01 PM
Traders will never go to trade on the DEX exchange because there is simply not enough functionality there. All these talks are only led by hodlers. If you are just a coin hodler, it doesn't make much difference to you where to buy or sell them. If you make transactions every day or trade on the futures market, you need CEX.

Or simply put there is no liquidity in DEX, so that is one cons against using them and that is one reason why we are still in CEX despite the many so issues like hacking and losing funds and scams.

And as much as we love DEX in the beginning, I don't think that we can simply go and switch from DEX-CEX, it's not going to happen overnight. And I don't think it will happen in the next 10 years or so.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: August 24, 2023, 12:07:59 PM
In our country, they were legal like 2-3 years ago but then the government finally decided to stop and make them illegal because of the series of kidnappings due to this type of game. Despite that, there have been a lot of new websites/apps that have come out but they don't have a license to operate so that means they're illegally operating and they will be held behind bars if they get caught. That's possible that in some other countries, they could also face jail time if one has but it differs from each country. But I am just telling that maybe you should change your game if you wanna gamble.
This also happened in the country where I live, because initially cockfighting was claimed as a cultural heritage that had been preserved for a long time, but because money was used for each cockfight and cockfighting was made a means of gambling, the government revoked the legal permit about cockfighting and consider it a form of gambling activity, plus there are groups of community organizations that consider cockfighting to be an activity that tortures animals so they reject the legal permit.
After all, there are only a few gamblers who really like betting on cockfighting, considering that cockfighting is a type of bet that is difficult to predict which one will win.

The thing with cockfighting is that it is very hard to monitor by the government. Yeah, in the beginning specially in the pandemic they allow it because it is money generating for them.

But as we have go back to normal now, they have to crack it down as there are reports that people missing or being killed because of money and there are a lot of crooked cops and even congressman and politicians that are involved.

As for beginning, it's almost 50/50 bet. So it's either you got lucky and bet on the winner or not.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oleksandr Usyk VS Daniel Dubois For The Undisputed heavyweight champion on: August 24, 2023, 11:05:26 AM
If Usyk wins here he should face Tyson next so the heavyweight belts should be consolidated so we'll have one undisputed champion.

If only Fury wont retire after a big juicy check after Ngannou fight Cheesy Fury mentioned here and there that he is about to put gloves on the wall.

It could be a trick, there's a lot of unfinished business, he still hasn't united all the belts, and his countryman is asking for an all-British showdown if Ngannou beats him or the match is a draw I'm sure he will opt for a rematch, id he finish all of these with success then he will go down in history as the greatest heavyweight champion and the great British heavyweight champion and even if he retires after the Ngannou fight, a lot of people will call him out to get out of retirement.

Fury as an undefeated heavyweight champion will always get a challenge, he will not enjoy his retirement because there are so many tasks that need to be done, he is not getting any younger if he finishes all these tasks, then he can retire without thinking that he has not done what he needs to do when he was still active.

Indeed Fury has unfinished businesses, but wont Usyk earlier this year offered him a fight? Right after Fury TKOed Chisora, Usyk stepped in the ring. I remember there were announced two possible reasons - they did not find agreement in payment, and Usyk wanted a rematch clause in contract, while Fury didnt.

I am not sure Fury is 100% focused in boxing right now. All that drinking issues, a fight against Ngannou, now on Netflix tv show about Fury is aired. It looks he is only about money, but not gaining all the belts.

If I'm not mistaken, Usyk camp says that Fury and his team are offering a not so good paycheck for them and that's why the fight didn't progress at all. Yes, he step up in the ring and Fury was shouting but Usyk just stand their stoic and with no emotions as well, and yet he looks very scary when he confronted Tyson Fury.

So let's see here, both seems to have a tune up fight, here Usyk against Dubois and then we will have Fury against Francis N. next.

And if both of them wins then we will see as Eddie Hearn says, might be in Saudi Arabia for their fight.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New bull market or new bear market ahead? on: August 23, 2023, 05:34:26 PM
SpaceX dumped Bitcoin recently so the drop isn't anything unexpected, I reckon we'd have stabilized at the 25, 26k range right now and would once again go on sideways for a few weeks before another move (hopefully up back again). On the bullrun, I'm expecting it to happen a year to a year and a half from now, so still pretty far. I'm at that phase where I'm still steadily accumulating, so the dips every now and then are pretty much good favors for me since I can buy more coins in a low price (since I DCA).

Are you sure about your comment? So far, the news has only speculated about bitcoin crash few days ago conducted by SpaceX. Until there's financial reporting released by SpaceX, we will never know the reality. This might just be an issue created by the media to induce panic selling. However, if you have evidence that yesterday's situation was caused by SpaceX, i will believe it. If not, just wants to remind you, not too believe in media about crypto price, because they are very often spreading a FUD.

Yes, and so we are not sure why everyone is talking about Elon Musk or his SpaceX as the reason of the current dump. In any case, we are still in the bear market technically, and so that will remain for now.

If we are talking about a bull market then it should start right after the bitcoin block halving. So don't be surprised if we see the price continue to decline throughout the year, we are still in the bear market so we need to understand that and hopefully we shouldn't be listening to these FUD are Elon Musk and his supposedly selling out huge amount of bitcoin because this news is like a broken record already.
1088  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take your eyes off from the fall in price on: August 23, 2023, 05:21:25 PM
^^ I wouldn't say that the price is discouraging though, we have been in this kind of price movement, and compare to the lowest low for this bear market, the current price is still good in my opinion.

I was quite surprised that we are not looking to be in the green side in the last 8 hour time frame, so it's encouraging to me and at $26,550. I wouldn't be surprised if we went and goes to $27k at least before the end of this month.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 23, 2023, 01:53:38 PM
I don’t know how serious the trade scenario of Karl Anthony Towns for Damian Lillard was, but apparently it was serious enough for Portland to comment that they don’t want KAT. I’m a little surprised by that, as I don’t think they’re going to be able to get a better player for Dame, but maybe they just want lots of draft picks or something.

That is a big sign that the Portland Trail Blazers are now looking forward to rebuild their team and carve out a new franchise image from the future picks they could get out of Dame because they specifically denied the Timberwolves request in giving KAT and some other future trades in-exchange for Dame Lillard.
Furthermore, Blazers are seems to be still sticking with what Dame wants by giving the Heat a chance to make a good trade but up to now, there are still no signs that both teams are going to agree with something to make it a done deal.

I think when Dame requested trade, the Trail Blazers realized that it's time for them to move forward. And most likely it was that sign, so the y sign Jeremi Grant with a huge contract and perhaps he will be their next corner store for their franchise.

But they don't want to give up their future picks and that could be the problem that they are facing right now. Maybe Miami is demanding some future picks to them that they can't really decide whether to take that risk or not.
1090  Economy / Speculation / Re: $30000 is becoming the resistant price on: August 22, 2023, 03:45:30 PM
This looks more like bitcoin may decrease more? That is what it seems to me if bitcoin can go below $29200.

What do you about this?
and that had happened mate, because yes we even fall down to 25k and still falling , it is a bad sign for August but we can see it growing in the coming months.

The coming months we should be all looking at is by next year not this particular year because it seems like bitcoin won't go above the expected price of $35k before the end of the year. Even if bitcoin crosses that amount, many investors won't bother to sell their Bitcoin as their case may be. They will still be waiting for the bitcoin bull run to happen by next year or two upper years(2025).

So let this August keeps being a bad sign as long as it doesn't stop someone to invest with the amount they can afford to lose without a problem

This is just another bump for us this month. We are still in the $25k right now, I thought that after everything has settled down, we should be at least gaining some grounds and could be just above $26k.

But don't think that we won't be recovering, it might take some time but this is just another perfect opportunity to accumulate.

And just let this this decline pass by in the next month or so.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: August 22, 2023, 05:30:17 AM
In an interview on the Joe Rogan show, Terence Crawford expressed his desire to become a three-time undisputed champion and revealed his plan to move across three weight divisions to potentially face the victor of the Canelo vs Charlo bout. If this scenario indeed unfolds, I'm curious to know whom you're supporting to win. Please feel free to share your insights on this matter.

Well, Canelo are most likely going to win against Charlo, but who knows - so I'm still taking the scenario of Canelo vs Crawford lol.
The weight differences are the thing that could hold up this fight to happen though. Canelo needs to come down and Terrence needs to come up a huge weight, both are risky for them. It could be draining for Canelo and something for Crawford that would affect his body conditioning and performance. Though nothing is impossible if they agree at a catch weight just because the fans are craving for it, then I guess a massive money involvement could make things possible.

Canelo stresses that he can't no longer make weight below 168 lbs, so it's going to be in the ball on Crawford to go up in weight in 3 weight classes if he wanted to have a fight with Canelo.

And it was really Crawford who are going to test himself here, to be as great as Pacquiao. And I heard one boxing analyst says that if Crawford goes up and fight Canelo and beat him, he will be greater than Floyd but it is up for debate.
1092  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you must follow or use the services of trading signals providers on: August 20, 2023, 02:57:16 AM
If you must follow or use the services of trading signals which is not bad in itself you should do so smartly. By smartly, I mean that at the beginning it is all about following and understanding the thinking process behind those signals and learning everyday. If you insist on using them, do not do so blindly, validate each signal provider by putting in the work. Record their past four to six months' trades on a spreadsheet and check them on historical charts. After you have done this, you may now proceed to choosing the ones consistently in profit despite their losing trades. The advantage is that they will help you reduce your time spent in analysis. This is one of the best ways to make  use of or follow trading signals channels or services. What is your opinion?

Not sure about trading signals though, if it's free then yeah maybe, why not subscribe to them and see how good their signals are. However, if they are going to charge you with huge money like monthly fees, I would stay away from that signal.

Just remember that there is no exact science in trading, it's either you are going to get lucky and win and lose some trades. It will not be always on the winning side or profits regardless of what pattern or used the services of trading signals.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: what a surprise dip on: August 20, 2023, 02:28:13 AM
~
what i only observed was the way bitcoin moved down to $24,200 before rising back to $26,000 so what next should we expect again and the week is gone, maybe after the weekend, next week may bring in another luck to have that green indication but for now we are still in the dip.
Majority of the investors are looking at this dip as an opportunity to purchase and hold for the long term and hence the price is recovering slightly and even if the market goes down further, there is nothing to worry for the long term investors as the price will bounce back. It is not a huge surprise seeing this correction because the market was stuck for a while around $30k and some were anticipating this correction Wink

I guess it's more of the whales filling their pockets and happy to see the price going down again and probably laughing their ass off to those newbies who panic sells as they can scoop cheaper bitcoin again. It's that advantage they got, and so they will take that without blinking an eye.

But for speculators or average joe like the majority of us, most of the time we don't have that money to buy and then we regret and say that the price should not go down that hard again because (1) it's hard to see our wallets value going south (2), we don't have the capital to buy if that is the case.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold? on: August 20, 2023, 02:15:20 AM
The answer to a debate that is constantly discussed on social media accounts and news outlets may open doors to different answers for everyone. So, Why Bitcoin Instead of Gold for you?

If this topic has been discussed before, I would appreciate it if you could enlighten me.
Bitcoin's total supply is known, but you don't know the amount of Gold that would ever exist or be mined. It cost a lot of money to transport gold from one place to another (country to country), Bitcoin serves as a medium of exchange (buying and selling ). Bitcoin is divisible into fractions,  meaning you can own any amount of Bitcoin. Gold is controlled by the government (central authority ), Bitcoin is decentralized.

As far as supply though, if I'm not mistaken, bitcoin has surpassed gold already in terms of supply and it becoming more scarce. And then bitcoin used by government as reserved could be one positive for gold.

However, we can also used bitcoin as store of value, it is just volatile, but in terms of price, you can make money out of it, more profits as compare to gold.

And then bitcoin is borderless, you can go and travel with just your bitcoin around the world and no body will know it.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some smart guy converted $1000 to 1 million in one day with $BALD coin on: August 20, 2023, 02:03:42 AM
Is this the same Bald token that was being issued and traded in Coinbase's new Base network? I am very sorry to be again the messenger of bad news, however, if we are talking about the same token, this is a rugpull speculated to be created by Sam Bankman-Fried or someone who want to make it appear that it was him.

The rug-pulling of short-lived, heavily hyped meme coin bald (BALD) has a whole cast of characters, but is one of them Sam Bankman-Fried?

On-chain data suggests interactions between the memecoin BALD’s deployer contract and one of the wallets tagged by Nansen as belonging to Alameda Research - the trading company founded and controlled by Bankman-Fried. The data was cited by several blockchain sleuths on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter and later validated by CoinDesk.

Wintermute’s head of research, Igor Igamberdiev, tied another wallet address 0xccFa05 to Alameda, stating its owner showed strong technical capabilities and proved to be a savvy DeFi user: Trading on the first version of dYdX and Oasis, as well as voting on the first proposals from SushiSwap.

Source https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2023/08/01/bald-token-rugpull-may-have-links-to-sam-bankman-frieds-alameda-data-shows/

Rugpulled by Sam on FTX, rugpulled again on Bald token hehehehehee.

Yeah, this is also what I read as well, the someone SBF is also involved or at least he has something to do with it. Not sure how he did it if he is in jail (if I'm not mistaken), but the influence of this guy and his name could really go down in infamy in crypto market if it is proven that again, he pulled this one that makes people losing huge money again.

And maybe this is just a tip, and there could be more projects that we are not aware of that could be tied to SBF and Alameda.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Spurdo the next pepe! on: August 19, 2023, 11:47:20 AM

Yes, that is the sign that this is just for pure pump and dump coin, so yeah, more of a meme coin. And with that, there could only be one Pepe in my opinion. And it's hard to follow on that footsteps to be the biggest one for this year.
It's a new trick to fill the pockets of developers and steal depositors' money. Pump-dump is very good at first, and suddenly you discover that everything was bad had it not been for some of the powders they added to make things pink, but this project is bad from the beginning, there is nothing to indicate that it is a good service.

I agree, this is a new way to fill the pockets of developers for some money from them investors.

And when we think that they are good and genuine, suddenly they will do a rugpull with millions of dollars with them. It is the sad state of the crypto market specially with this meme coins.

But the problems is that there are individuals who still invest even though the sign is there in the beginning that this project is nothing but just a meme and pump&dump projects.
1097  Economy / Speculation / Re: Big surprise in mid-August - Do not panic!!! on: August 19, 2023, 11:14:14 AM
It was reported that SpaceX bitcoin holdings which amounts to $373 million according to WSJ has been sold. This came after it was reported that WSJ discovered documents of SpaceX financial records. But this doesn’t add any substantial evidence because they didn’t report any information whatsoever as to when the sale was done and Musk himself didn’t disclose anything even after this news broke out. So we could simply say it is just  speculation by People.
I agree with you, I also do not think that the reason for the decline is the sale of SpaceX holdings because as you mentioned, Musk himself did not reveal anything after the spread of this news. In addition, it is unlikely that Musk would sell his Bitcoin holdings at a price lower than the purchase price, this is far from businessman thinking.

There may be more than one reason for this sudden decline, including, for example, the interest rate hike in the United States of America, as well as the news of huge sales and long liquidations in many exchanges such as Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, and others.

In any case, yes, there is no need to panic, because this is not the first time, and it is certain that Bitcoin will return to its position soon.
I too believe that SpaceX is not the cause of this drop. It is not uncommon for large amounts of bitcoins to be bought and sold on the cryptocurrency market, and this is usually not the cause of a large drop or rise in price. Just now someone successfully created a rumour that caused a panic. We may not know the real reason, or if it is something serious, we will find out about it later.

There could be deeper cause of the massive drop, it could be SpaceX or some bad news in China that I read.

Regardless though, we should remain calm from this kind of downward spiral, it's not the first time that we suddenly see the price going down fast without any rational explanation, so this is such one good case.

Maybe when everything settles down, we will finally see reasons, but for now, no need to panic sell, just saying.

Joshua’s Promoter Giving Wilder Negotiations 2 To 3 Weeks Or AJ Will Fight In Nov Or Dec

Quote
By Jake Tiernan: Eddie Hearn has put a 2 to 3-week timeframe for when he wants the Deontay Wilder fight wrapped up for Anthony Joshua’s mega-fight in January in Saudi Arabia. Hearn says if it’s not completed within two or three weeks, he could start looking for a fight for Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs) in November or December.

This is an important piece of news, and from here, we can track the progress of the negotiation. Hopefully, Wilder's camp will respond promptly and not waste time in ensuring that this significant fight will take place. What AJ's promoter is attempting to convey is their desire for an immediate response. If they can't secure an answer within that timeline, they will proceed with their business plans but with a different opponent.

If I'm not mistaken, Eddie Hearn has been talking about the Wider fight, even before Joshua was supposed to fight Whyte/Helenius. And that fight is treated as a tune up fight for Joshua and it just so happen that Helenuis got knockout and so Joshua's confidence is back at all time high.

And with that win, they are on track to have a fight with Wilder and hopefully it can happen this year or early next year.

Doubt that the Wilder fight with Ruiz is going to push as he might go directly to fight AJ in the Middle East for more money.

Here is the update of supposedly, Ruiz vs Wilder mandated fight by the WBC, and it's not happening, hehehe,

Quote
The WBC has abandoned its prior attempt to determine a mandatory challenger for the heavyweight title.

A previously ordered Deontay Wilder-Andy Ruiz title eliminator is no longer required, the sanctioning body ruled Friday. The fight never had a chance to take place given recent events, including ongoing efforts for Wilder to next face fellow former heavyweight titlist Anthony Joshua likely early next year in the Middle East.

https://www.boxingscene.com/wbc-abandons-wilder-ruiz-final-eliminator-revisit-mandatory-process-november--177049

So it just shows how corrupt WBC and the Sulaiman,  Grin they initial ordered a fight between the Ruiz and Wilder and then later change their decision not to and allow Joshua (as he win against Helenius) to fight Wilder in the Middle East.

And for sure, as Eddie Hearn secures big money from Middle East, the Sulaiman's has a cut on it.  Grin

No surprised though, it's obvious that it was just a front for WBC to order this fight. I mean if everything didn't go well with the AJ fight, then they might as well go with the Ruiz fight. But now that AJ won, and so WBC step aside their own ruling and let Eddie Hearn do the rest for the negotiations between AJ and Wilder to fight in the Middle East wherein there is a lot of money to be made and definitely, it will have to trickle down to Sulaiman and his corrupt WBC body to have a slice on that big pie before allowing Wilder to fight.

WBC knows that there are a lot of money to be made between a Joshua and Wilder fight, so this is their first option before Ruiz. And it make sense at all specially for boxing fans as we have been waiting for this fight to happen since 2017-2018 when both are still undefeated.

Nevertheless it's not late to see it, and for sure boxing fans wants it even it is too late in their career.

And as mentioned, the huge money that is going to be made here put Sulaiman on notice and to put on-hold the Andy Ruiz fight with Deontay Wilder.
1099  Economy / Economics / Re: Running faucet business in 2023 still possible? on: August 19, 2023, 10:22:55 AM
From someone who have claimed faucets almost all his days in 2016-2018 and managed to make some good money from just faucet claiming, I can't help but thinking how those running faucets at that time making money from it.

Since I don't see many people talking about this today I will like to ask for your help if any one knows of any places that I can learn about how to run my own faucet and how to make money out of it? .

Perhaps the reason why people are not talking about today because it's no longer effective to run this kind of business of advertisement. And most of the team it's not worth the time anymore, just saying.

Running Doge coin and few other old cheap coins like Litecoin Faucet is still doable, I can even add the likes of Shiba too,  where do you think I should start from? What do I need to learn about?

Lastly, what advice do you have for my goal?

Well if you have some website to advertise that is related to crypto or altcoin in general then maybe you can used this as part of your marketing. Just make sure though that it can be withdrawable after members reach something or at least amounts that can be reach.
1100  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some smart guy converted $1000 to 1 million in one day with $BALD coin on: August 18, 2023, 02:10:40 PM
Not just smart but you also need to be very lucky to make that happen. And it just shows that it can be done, but as I have said, it's the combination of being have the money and then extreme luck to find the project early and invest with your money.
