1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AKC] Anti-Keiser Coin REVAMPED ~10 BILLION COINS on: February 28, 2014, 12:02:32 AM
Why should i keep my coins when the dev is moron and will increase the max supply with more 10000% again after month

nobody can change anything unless we download the new wallet...

i think the new dev has not thought things through enough.

I am completely listening to you guys and trying to understand your logic. Please keep posting your opinions, we still have a few days, and you don't have to upgrade wallets if you do not agree with the changes.

If you want to be fair that AKC claims to be release a wallet with a "bug" that adds 1000% to current balances. No coins can survive without early adopters support. You just cant devalorize those balances who mined this coin with the hope to be a fair coin, with future
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AKC] Anti-Keiser Coin REVAMPED ~10 BILLION COINS on: February 27, 2014, 11:27:01 PM
this is not good. you have had to multiply early supporters balance by 10  not just inflate the coin with more than 1000 percent

I mined 8 blocks so far, of course I'm not counting few hundred orphans.

You are lucky i am at 32 orphans and 3800 Rejects and no valid block yet
I think i just pass this one

Anyone received less coin than expected? I was trying out 2 pools now, and my earnings seem to be 50% lower than calculated?. What is with that?

Difficulty is rapidly fluctuating. You may calculate your earnings at 1-2 difficulty but it peaks sometimes from block to block to 6-7

Missed the boat Sad.

You can still get some coins from  irc giveaway here : http://t.co/VtBPdiacbh

To test it, I rented some rigs on betarigs. Of course, only skrypt - but when I started, the diff was quite low.
Still, the coin output is poor, very very poor.

Just to clarify the algorithm - is my miner working all those 2.5 minutes, or is it only active during the 30 seconds scrypt shares?
Because if it were only active 2 minutes out of a 10 minutes window - then that would explain the poor profitability, and pose the question - how to spent the other 4/5 of the time better.

Your miner is active the whole time, but every algo gets a block every 2.5 minutes, that's why the relative low reward
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MYR] Myriad coin - A coin for everyone - SHA|SCRYPT|QUBIT|SKEIN|GROESTL on: February 25, 2014, 10:26:41 PM
So if you use that many different algorithms, it's really difficult to get the right balance of value, since you get different shares mining different algos... Wondering how this will end up.

This would be true if the difficulty wouldnt be independent for every algo. but it is

I know about the independent diffs. It's hard to compare ASIC vs GPU vs CPU, but still
e.g. If a lot of SHA miners are interested, diff at SHA can be sky high, but scrypt could be easier to mine and they get more shares.
If scrypt is too high, maybe it's better to use the GPU qubit miner, because you will get more coins with that.
And so on.

It's interesting to see how the market and value will adopt to that.

Thats why i like this coin. if it gets some nice profitable value, you can always switch. For gpu scrypt qubit and skein are also possible  if one is unprofitable you still can switch to another algo. I really like the concept behind this coin giving the possibility to mine it with constant profit and minimizing the chance of dying by becoming unprofitable

Cryptsy is very picky with premined coins you should head miners to a smaller exchange
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIG] PiggyCoin - A coin for youngsters and newcomers! on: February 25, 2014, 10:01:44 PM
While I like the concept and your website, there's quite a problem with this coin...
2.100.000.000 max coins with a block reward of 4000 is ridiculous, most of us can only mine a few hundred coins a day.
You get 21.000.000 coins which makes it one of the biggest premine ever, impossible for anyone to catch up.
So it's pretty sad, that was a nice coin Sad

Block reward is not that bad keeping in mind that there will be no halving

why only sha and scrypt pools? There are no professional pool owners to set up other algo pools?
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PIG] PiggyCoin - A coin for youngsters and newcomers! on: February 25, 2014, 09:21:52 PM
It was because giveaway was made in the thread, ppl told em and they kept doing, listen next time.

Yep probably the reason is that. it is a shame that some beggars can't control themselfs.
Anyhow great that we are having a new ann, you should have a link in op to old thread so people can see that launch went fine and so on

Add "addnode=fedoracha.in" to your piggycoin.conf if you're having problems connecting.
Isn't working for me on windows. When going to debug window to add manually it ends up saying:
Code:
{"code":-32601,"message":"Method not found"}

put in conf file. or addnode fedoracha.in add in debug console
I did both, the error I get is when I run punch in "addnode fedoracha.in add" to the debug console.

My piggycoin.conf file is literally a copy/paste of the front page post, with the addition of the two nodes.

This is how your conf file should look like, after adding and saving restart your client:

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=pass
port=44481
rpcport=44480
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
daemon=1
listen=1
server=1
addnode=85.247.160.224
addnode=fedoracha.in
