Hurricane Matthew rages in Bahamas at the moment. Let's hope everyone are and will be safe and uninjured and the preparations for accepting CSC will continue afterwards.
From the github we can see that Prypto's CSC Exchange is been developed at the moment, so things are moving forward.
Can't touch a line of code or you'll find out Silence is a virtue

@RUDY4682, can you please fix the block explorer?
If possible, expands the list of the richest, to 250 or 300 wallets ....
thanks in advance Smiley
He hasn't visited the btct almost a month now, so don't expect it to be fixed anytime soon. @Ajochems, is it maybe possible to add rich list feature to http://insight.casinocoin.info/ or @Casinocoin, to here http://explorer.casinocoin.org/block_crawler.php ? Possible? Yes, but that is not too high on my todo list at the moment .... will add it though when i have the time.

Know something....I'm no troll, I'm no fudder......and I've BOTH mined and purchased this coin since January. i've watched it run in the ground from lack of exchanges, an identity crisis from adding sandcoin.....and now the wallets won't even work. And seeing miners blamed for the crash of its value....just hurt my feelings...ALOT. So good luck guys. I've lost $$ on your experiment with a single purpose coin that's really never found its niche. I'll still look in from time to time because I hold 10k of them...which is not a lot but its gone from a decent value to squat. So thanks for the memories.
Sounds like you have been buying a lot of CannabisCoin lately (sorry that i am no longer able to take these comments serious anymore).

Ajochems, for me, this is not important ... I know that the two marks are interconnected.
I only called attention to the problem of those who need the brand "SandCoins" without reference to casinocoin, can get upset or worse, delay also plans to sandcoins ...
I personally think it's more important wallet for android, than change the casinocoin words by sandcoin (if so so simple, we hope ....)
OK i will check again on a clean enviroment and rebuild if necesary, ... maybe i have my machine messing things up @Ajochems, did You find the problem? Not yet, ... i created a new clean Windows 10 VM and downloaded the SandCoins setup from github. When i run the wallet it shows SandCoins everywhere and no Casinocoins. Also checked languages as Felix suggested but no effect. I first need to be able to reproduce the issue before i can solve it .... Btw, ... i have been working on the Insight API and Mobile Wallets lately and not as much on the SandCoins wallet. http://imgur.com/a/Vlcx4

Yo CSC devs..... How's getting rid of the nasty old miners working out for ya'? Doing what you thought it would? What is it you want to hear? That the devs are incompetent and made a wrong call? That we have no knowledge about crypto, mining and network security? That we are prone for an attack because hashing rate dropped below 1 GHash? Some Bitcoin mining pools have gotten so big that they even fear a 51% attack from one of those, ... even with all that hashing power available! For me the fork was not as much about influencing the miners directly but more about the amount of coins generated. It has been a call for the long term future and not for the short term value or network security. We had about 20000 to 25000 new coins every day and that would have continued for the next 3 years and then to 0. If you want this coin to go to $1 value it would have been very difficult with 25000 new coins every day. Now with around 2000 new coins every day its much more easy and current coin holders value will not be diluted as easily. Also the long term reward is now the same, we'll see about 2000 new coins every day for the next 35 years or so, instead of a 0 coin reward and only fees based mining in a few years time, ... how would that influence your mining network? Bitcoin already starts to suffer from rising mining fees, they already calculated that Bitcoin fees could go as high as 3.3% if the reward drops towards 0 in the future. For CSC the low fees are one of its mayor advantages for Casinos over e.g. Credit Cards. The miners will return as soon as the coin value goes up because thats the only reason people mine, not for the fees. Network security will increase automatically when coin usage and value increase. If the coin value does not go up in the future (talking over the next 3 years here), it means that CSC has failed to be adapted by the Casino industry and i think the network will die off in that case anyway, ... as will most other cryptos by that time. But, ..... as far as the devs are informed, .... it seems that things move ahead in the background and i am still confident CSC will have a bigger impact in the future. Some real life processes like regulation and permissions just take longer as expected.

I enjoyed version 3 of sandcoins ... just do not understand one thing: a long time ago, the developers said the currency "sandcoins" was a form of will not be associated with the word "casino".... then why the wallet sandcoins, has several times the word "casinocoin" spread by almost all sections of the Wallet? starting with: "CasinoCoin - Wallet". I'm not criticizing the work of anyone, only see a Casinocoin wallet painted blue, and do not understand it ... BTW, I almost always use the wallet "sandcoins" because I like it in blue. (almost all the giveaway I got from Prypto are in sandcoins wallet) Please submit an issue ticket for items like that I downloaded and installed the wallet from https://github.com/SandCoins/sandcoin-wallet/releases and i checked all panels and menu's and i can not find 1 reference to CasinoCoin. So not sure what you are talking about. Sorry my late reply. Strange you can't find reference to Casinocoin. Maybe it´s a problem in my computers... I just said, to try to help ... not with other intension. please see the references that I found in my wallet: http://imgur.com/UJEueV8http://imgur.com/YWc4jrshttp://imgur.com/aemyRH3http://imgur.com/2RiFYfdhttp://imgur.com/6wmR0tdhttp://imgur.com/s1tl9SmVery strange indeed. This is what i see when i start the new v3 SandCoins wallet: http://imgur.com/a/tLnzaCan anybody else please check if either ugabuga or i am seeing a wrong SandCoins version??

From a more constructive point of view as i am getting really tired about all those negative comments, my todo list is currently the following: - Migrate SandCoins to v3 - Port the Insight API to CSC - Finish the mobile wallets (finally)
Are there any requests (other than network or mining related) from the community for things i should add to the todo list?

Without miners you have no network hash....and slow confirms. How is that stable? One thing for sure....you're rid of this one. Don't waste your time...the devs don't seem to understand the importance of a secure blockchain. I have tried to gently communicate it in the past but to no avail. At this point the only thing that will show them the danger is a demonstration of an attack but I am not the one to do so. I fear that if/when we see a higher value in this coin it will be too tempting for someone to take advantage of. Even before the fork with 2 Gh/s it was in danger but now it is just a joke. One thing saving the blockchain from an attack is a low enough value that someone won't bother...other than to prove a point. Estimated total available scrypt hash power is over 2000 Ghash so an attack is indeed very easy, so gently said, ... yes you are wasting you time

Is the android app updated to the latest version ? as I cant download the win version
am running on Windows , but the wallet does not run for some reason , what is the worst that can happen if you just leave csc on the wallet app (android) , Are you running Windows XP? Thats not supported anymore. If not and the wallet does start but shows empty screens you have a video driver that does not support OpenGL 2.0. In that case read the description at https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/releases/tag/3.0.0.0I think the current Android wallet will not be updated anymore as it is barely used. New mobile wallets are still work in progress and got delayed a bit by the new v3 wallets. Next item to be released will probably be the Insight API and next the mobile wallets for Android and IOS. If you have coins in your Android wallet move them to a new V3 wallet or create a paper wallet. After the fork you will not be able to sent your coins anymore from your Android wallet. It a shame android wallet will not be updated, It was really convenient to use so I hope it not over for the andriod wallet as it may have a roll to play in future, If you read my comments you see me saying that Android and IOS wallets are high on my list, just not upgrades of the current versions but new tech.

well .... I'm using this version for android (Andre Jochems): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.casinocoin.wallet&hl=pt_BRWhen I tried the 1st time in February, I think, it did not work for me. Today, I let update all the blocks first, and then tried sending (of my wallet V3.0.0 on windows pc) of 0.1CSC + 0.4CSC for, wallet on Android. It went smoothly. The sound of coins falling to indicate that received money, really nice. Then I sending back to my wallet on the PC, and also went well, except the time it took to this last operation: 11 minutes (should only have taken 3 ....) BTW: There are now transaction costs between CSC wallets. It seems that this serves to pay the NODE services that process the transaction. I would like to know more about this subject. What is necessary to be a NODE? After block 1575000 other nodes will refuse the Android wallet connections so move the coins before the fork.

Getting this error when compiling from source:
g++: error: unrecognized command line option ‘-std=c++14’
Are you trying to compile on Debian 7? Try Debian 8, the g++ there supports this command line option. It's Debian 8 already, I'll try it on a Ubuntu machine Make sure you use gcc 5. Please take a look at the github wiki pages.

Oh and yes i am offended. People called me a lot of things in my life but i have never been called incompetent in my work as a software developer. I think i am done commenting for a while.

Well i actually finished testing for myself. I also now build and tested all Qt wallets (Windows, Linux, OSX (yes its back again ) and also the daemons (Windows, Linux). All build instructions (except OSX) are also in the Wiki pages. I feel confident the release is ready for the public. Probably GoldSeal will make the public anouncement one off these days and sent out mails to the mailing lists. If you want you can try out the wallets and please create issues on GitHub for any problems you encounter. You can already see the nodes running the new version if you do a getpeerinfo from the debug window. All clients should be running "version" : 80001, "subver" : "/LTSV3:3.0.0/" in the near future. And yes we are only reducing the block reward, not swapping anything. 1 CSC per block is theoretically still 120 CSC per hour which is still more than 60 BTC per hour. Yes i know CSC is far from the value of BTC but still ... I will not continue again on the mining and hash speeds as i feel that all has been said about that. It will sort itself out anyway. This is all about protecting the coin owners value and not harming it. The new wallet on windows does run in a VM, i tested it against a Windows 10 image running in VirtualBox without issues. Installation can be done anywhere and does not need registry settings to work, all necessary files are in the program folder except some OpenSSL libs that we are not allowed to deploy. They are only needed for the twitter feed and prypto services as they are protected by SSL. Not sure if people understand how much work is involved in programming, building and testing for all platforms. And yes, ... if people do not step up but find i do 'not handle things very well' i guess i better ignore future posts ....

I made some changes to the wallet info page for the upcoming release, hope you guys like it

That does not solve the issue of our relatively low hash rate but will leave that discussion on the table.
Strangely enough we have been almost the entire day at about 2.5 - 3 GHash, .... i can not explain where that comes from at these low CSC market rates???
|
|
|
Well ... if we move forward, then carry on the accelerator ...
just a thought (in simplistic terms):
Today CSC is valued at about 1 penny (wallet values ...)
Today the network is about 2Ghash
If we reduce the 10CSC to 1CSC (ten times less), then we can also expect the network to reduce 200Mhash (ten times less), right?
When csc = $ 1USD (100 times ) then network also worth 20 ghâsh (100 times)
The obvious question is: is this enough value network ?? a secure network??
If so, send there the new wallet with the changes ...
Ajochems uploaded the current release candidate to https://github.com/casinocoin/casinocoin/tree/development/srcPlease take a look and browse the proposed changes thus far If I understand right, the change is scheduled to 1750000 block, in about 160 days, right? basically at the end of the year ... I thought you guys were thinking about a change "more immediate", perhaps the middle or end of this month. Yeah still discussing that, .... we might change that to block 1600000. We do want to give all involved parties some time to upgrade.
