I have a question. Take the following example:
Amount Percent mBTC Time 0.049827 MONA 0.199% 0.03692776 13m ago
Does this mean I've earned 0.03692776 mBTC, or 0.199% of 0.03692776 mBTC?
Cheers!)
0.03692776 0.199% is your take of the block

I know this is likely a dumb question, but what are the odds of lowering the fee's as like a "holiday" special from the 2% to 1.5% or 1.25% or dare I say it, 1% fee's updated on some algo. Just reporting that your pool is 100%, everything looks fine, thanks for the good job. No balance drops, no problems at website, no discrepance into hashrate reported, nice, keep up with the good job. Cheers good to hear. Still work to be done but glad to see it's getting back to normal with the extra 15k miners

anybody else not earning their normal amount of BTC the last 24h? I mined the last hours and would normally get about 0.0005 BTC with 2 1060 6GB I now only made 0.00002 in the last 24 hours.
I mined neoscrypt and nist5 the last 24 hours.
Another thing I noticed is that the hashrate on Zpool is way lower (minimum 20%) than what is shown by my miner. I checked about 10 times in an hour and non came even close to the hashrate the miner showed. Can anybody explain the cause of this delta?
Did some changes to NIST5 algo this morning and looks like hashrates are holding. Will be keeping an eye on it. There only so much I can do when there are a zillion "Awesome Miner" users drowning my inboxes.

crackfoo I am Mining for altcom as my payout coin, I saw you disabled yobit will I still get a altcom payout as it is only exchanged at yobit?
I've just re-enabled it so pricing should come back shortly. unsure why prices were so stale, but they're being updated now it seems.

Can someone help explain what happened here? While mining my Balance dropped about ~.001 BTC and after a few hours has stayed flat for payout, even though my x11 is at ~200Mh/s. You can also see that in the last 24 hours I haven't received a payout. I've received many payouts to this address before. Any help out be appreciated. yobit exchange was disabled. It was mining that ONX coin, come to realize yobit hasn't been updating coin prices for 10 days.

Does zpool pay out to segwit addresses (those that start with a 3?)
those arn't segwit those are multisig. Best thing you can do, it connect a miner with the address and c=BTC and see what the pool thinks.

Hi Cracfoo, Nist5 connection refusing for 15 minutes by now: "Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to mine.zpool.ca port 3833: Connection refused"
using the wrong address. Read the stratum info on the main page.

Stability goes on and off today as well?
I hope not. I've not said anything, to avoid jinxing it but I *think* things are settling in now. Very minimal db errors now and very few spontaneous stratum resets.

Is there anything going on with Neoscrypt on Zpool? My rigs can connect to other algos / ports.. and can connect to Neoscrypt on other pools.. but no love on Zpool.. I just sit around waiting for data..
Did I do something?
Why don't you love me?
I love you.
Wait.. too much?
Read main page for proper stratum hosts. neoscrypt.mine.zpool.ca

Patrike,
Can you check out the code in Awesome Miner for a bug.
Some new users have joined zpool, used a bitcoin wallet (BTC), but in the wallet (stats page) at zpool it's set as BCH.
Awesome Miner is not doing anything for this scenario and simply assuming that zpool will go for BTC if nothing is specified explicitly. Awesome Miner do not specify payout coin at all, so this must be investigated from a zpool point of view. The zpool instructions have always been a bit unclear on this. -o stratum+tcp://<algo>.mine.zpool.ca:<PORT> -u <WALLET_ADDRESS> [-p c=<SYMBOL>,<OPTIONS>] <WALLET_ADDRESS> must be a valid address. Incorrect addresses will result in forfit of earning. You can also use any valid wallet address from any of the coins we mine. This feature has had minimal testing so use at your own risk
Awesome Miner is setting the Bitcoin wallet address the user specified. I interpret that you can specify any coin for payout, but that specifying like that is "at your own risk". For that reason, Awesome Miner is not specifying this "c=" parameter. In the past zpool always went for Bitcoin payouts in that scenario. You can still configure Awesome Miner to add this parameter if you want (via Options dialog, Online Services, modify the zpool entries and add command line "-p c=ABC" or similar). Further reading on zpool instructions: c=<SYMBOL> doesn't always work This is yet another reason why Awesome Miner isn't trying to set this parameter at all. Can you please make this option more visible or even required? 99% of the time having the proper c=BTC set (or whatever symbol is for the wallet their using) will choose BTC. As it is now.... it's 50/50 with nothing set.

I'm using awesome miner and it's almost exclusively running zpool. I have a question though. It switches between blake, lyra, neo, etc, really often. Does this hurt my returns? Is it better if it switches less often? I feel like every 5-10 minutes its switching algorithm and then the hash rate average has to build back up.
you'd have to play with it, I've no GPU rig yet to play with this, but IMO, staying a little longer is probably better.

frontend replication lagging behind, but mining back online and working. apologies for the downtimes. You're stats won't update until replication finalizes.

Crackfoo,
You have gone above and beyond, I can not say much more.
You have managed to get the site back up and running with a new server in under 24 hours, fantastic job from someone that runs this service on his own.
I just hope that the other miners think the same way, and that all the complaints stop and so on.
Thanks. Still not where I want to be yet in terms of stability. But I'll need to wait untill everything is caughtup and running on their expected schedules. There's still a backlog of earnings to process. We're down to 5.6million records and decreasing while yesterday we were 8.9million and growing so we're at least moving in the right direction. It's a bit tricky and slower because the pool is still live and would rather not close stratums for 12-24h just to play catchup. We'll get there nothing's being lost.

Yes, there are over 40950 miners connected to the site. The normal number of miners is 8000 - 12000.
yes, still working on fine tuning. A few things I overlooked or set wrong lastnight before getting a few hours zZzZ. Mostly OS kernel performance tuning stuff. I haven't moved off a main server in a long time so don't have all the solutions on the top of my head but working through them as I notice.

once this settles in and any tweaks needed are done I'll be further expanding for stability. I've upgraded as well the data connection to a premium 1Gbps guaranteed bandwidth in and out of the servers so this I hope will also improve latency.
There is still a backlog in the database and I suspect it should all be caught up by morning. It's at least progressing unlike before the migration, where it was piling up more and more.
|
|
|
finally felt my first outage. I am sure this is normal because a new machine is stepping in and there were DB migrations mentioned... maybe the coinbox has been reset. She pings clearly though.
DB & stratums migrated to new server. Will soon put frontend back on after some monitoring.
|
|
|
the site is offline, and mining works, will it be reckoned?
yup, in the works now. building up the new server to handle the increased traffic. Just the front end is off right now as it was causing additional unnecessary stress on the server.
|
|
|
have the new server deployed and currently preparing it and getting it setup/secured.
Hopfully later tonight I can move DB and stratum to it.
