1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase, the forks and the new coins? on: December 10, 2017, 09:56:50 PM
No, because you were holding your bitcoins on coinbase, it is a third party wallet, an exchange, there is no way that you can have your private key, and you need the Priv K in order to claim your forked coins.

The only "exchange" who is giving out forked coins at the moment is only Binance, and the most safest ways to store your coins to receive those coins.

Dont even hesitate to put your funds on one of those random wallets that the dev's of the forks are giving to you, how are you supposed to know if they are scam or not?

Till now Coinbase do not support any of the new coins but working on the support of Bitcoin cash for 1 of January 2018. Is there a way to get the other coins from the previous or upcoming forks?
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recovering Litecoin wallet from 2014 on: December 09, 2017, 09:06:49 PM
Guy you are so lucky, may i know how many litecoins have you bought before?

I will suggest you to download the whole blockchain on your computer (far as i know, it is a big archive, more than 100gb)

And then import your wallet.dat to your litecoin core

Litecoin core writes "file is too big"
How can I restore access?

But far as i know, there was a command that you could put in the console of litecoin core, and it was going to give you the private key of your wallet.dat..

I dont remember, but look for it on the internet.

And if you get the private key, you can import it to electrum or in litecoin core too.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is there anyway to tell if Wall Street whales are pumping up the Bitcoin Market? on: December 09, 2017, 08:49:55 PM
And it is sad because a lot of people are just looking at the marketcap before investing, and i am seeing it everyday in here.

If you start from the market cap as an indicator is a dead end.

It seems that most part of those new guys in bitcoin are a little bit confused about how the futures are going to work.

As for manipulation, remember okcoin ? willy bot? not even talking about the flippening plan.

I have tried to explain it a few times but i am never getting replies from them, becuase they just create threads, and then they left the thread because they are just spamming.

So there is no reason to answer the question to him, probably he is going to do the same.

1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: +75% jump for Litecoin on: December 09, 2017, 08:25:27 PM
That is what i was looking for, it is exactly what is happening right now.

Everybody is moving their funds to litecoin only because of this:

1- The price is getting expensive, and bitcoin is going down.
2- Transactions are usually confirmed in less than one minute; in btc there are more than 180k unconfirmed transactions.
3- Litecoin is more stable, and it is never going down (the opposite of bitcoin)

Another possibility is the transaction fee in Bitcoin is getting expensive and the transactions are going quiet slow so altcoins like LTC would be a good chpice to use when transacting..
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano (ADA) Price Prediction 2018: One Cryptocurrency with Great Upside Potent on: December 09, 2017, 08:06:25 PM
it can reach .50USD easily with a year with further positive updates. Although nothing is certain in this market, I would say 3 USD is it’s limit.

0.50 is just a psycho barrier. It can easily be broken if a lot of people start investing in ADA just like it happened a few days ago when there was a fiber about cardano & iota, everybody were crazy about buying them!

But three dollars just for a single cardano? it is not possible my friend, just take a look over the supply. It is almost impossible, or well, maybe just impossible.

Stellar lumens could be a good hit, it could be even more than what cardano is right now (in terms of marketcap of course)
1086  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Trezor vs Ledger Nano S? on: December 09, 2017, 07:52:22 PM
Each trezor is over $90 right now (the latest one) and it depends on where do you live. In a 3rd country, each trezor could be sold at more than x3 of the oficial price.

Both are secured and the only significant difference is its design and price, so in the end it depends in your personal preference.

And in my opinion, the ledger nano is muuuch more better than the trezor wallet, only because of the design and the hardware.

Maybe the trezor is very handsome, but you must know that it is more flexible than the trezor and it can easily be broken, and it is not happening with the ledger.

Obviously that if you take care of both, there is nothing of what you should be worried about.

But i am talking about LONG TERM.. that is why the ledger is the best one for me (and it is less than $69)
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: O.5 BTC... What do you think about this portfolio? on: December 08, 2017, 10:43:56 PM
How many times are you all going to repeat the same? This question has already been asked and answered many times in here, and they are always saying the same.. put a half on bitcoin and the other half on bla bla bla..

i have now O.5 BTC for Invest What do you think about this portfolio?

Follow this pattern, and put the other half on bitcoin & ethereum, it should be fine only because you are investing in safe coins, and you know that they are not suddenly going to drop to 0.

20% iota
20% Elix

And please, stop asking this crap, it has already been answered.
1088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ridiculously High Network Transfer Fee on Coinbase on: December 08, 2017, 10:23:51 PM
Hello. I am trying to transfer 50$ worth of bitcoin from coinbase to another wallet. The network fee is 16$ to make this transfer, so I would only have 33$ left.

it is not a coinbase issue, it is happening on almost all the blockchain. just check this website:

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

The minimum fees are 106,000 satoshis (around 0.00106 btc) actually, it is more than $17 dollars, that is insane, and i am not going to pay that amount of money just for sending a payment.

If it is an urgency, then pay those fees, but yes, they are insane and i am sure that the little holders are not going to spend those kind of fees just for a single tx.

Once that the lightening network is released, the whole bitcoin community would be happy with tiny fees.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 200,000 Unconfirmed Transactions Pile Up in Another Crazy Day for Bitcoin on: December 08, 2017, 09:49:19 PM
Yep, no one is able to exchange a single altcoin because it will get collapsed, and specially on gdax.

Exchanges overloaded.

This forum received a DDoS attack recently, i heard about it, and that is the reason of why it has been running out so slow, i was not even able to refresh a page..

DDoS attacks.

But that is something good for everyone in here, who likes to see their balance going down? No one, so i dont know why you are complaining, because in fact, you are still earning money too.

Huge price spikes
1090  Economy / Speculation / Re: This Hedge Fund Manager Just Said Bitcoin $400,000 Is Easy on: December 08, 2017, 09:32:51 PM
+10 with this, i fully agree with you.

It's possible during the next decade. If you asked me a year ago, I would have said that it would be hard, but it's becoming increasingly easier

But why in the next decade? maybe it will happen in just a few years, but not more than ten years..

I really believe in that the price will be touching more than $30 thousand dollars, or who knows if it will be worth more than $100k each one?

I believe in bitcoin, and i am trusting all my future on it. So yes, lets hope to see it increasing much more than the actual price.

But $400,000? It is VERY difficult to reach that amount of money, we all would love to see those rates.. but it is something difficult to achieve
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why I can't send ETH from myetherwallet? on: December 08, 2017, 08:48:00 PM
MEW is having some issues with the Ethereum blockchain, but far as i know you only have to put a higher fee and that is it.

I use a Ledger nano, and believe me, i am able to send transactions but they are worth a lambo... I mean, $3,5 for ethereum fees is EXPENSIVE AS HELLL

I wanted to send some eth to cryptopia in order to trade a little, but it is impossible, those fees are very expensive and the time that it is taking to get the first confirmation isn't worth it.

Waiting more than 12 hours, and paying more than three dollars.. No thanks, i prefer using bitcoin if this is going to continue like this.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: So XRP is down at 1257sats! Is it wise to buy now? on: December 07, 2017, 11:37:14 PM
Ripple is not very profitable right now, why dont you invest your money on bitcoin? you have guaranteed profits in there instead of buying a coin that has already x10 it's value in less than a year.

My hands are itching Grin Is XRP guaranteed to go high this coming 2018?  Huh

Well bitcoin has already did more than x10 in a year too, but bitcoin is much more solid than ripple, and it has much more adoption than ripple.

And xrp is still at the same price, 0,24 cents each one of them, i dont know how can you make profit of a coin that has been between $0,18 - $0,25 for more than months.

Why dont you look to invest into Stellar? They are one of the most profitable coins at the moment.
1093  Economy / Speculation / Re: I felt bad buying this morning at $14,000... on: December 07, 2017, 11:21:31 PM
It is not impossible, but you need to remember that it has been increasing a lot during the last few days, and that is not sustainable anymore.

You won't lose investing in bitcoin as the price on rally right now, it seems $20,000 by the end of the year may be achieved and not impossible at all.

Just look at the charts, do you really think that a big increase of more than four thousand dollars in just a week is reasonable? No, it doesnt, and that is the real reason of why it will drop a little.

But yes, if you have the chance to keep holding them for a week or so, then you are going to earn a lot if there isn't a correction during the next days or weeks.

1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One of the best ICO's this winter on: December 07, 2017, 11:07:22 PM
VIONC - is a blockchain transportation chain platform for the 21st century.

Anyone needs to report this crap, the OP just created this thread in order to promote his project, and you all ARE REPLYING.

We dont want to hear about what do you think guys, he is just promoting his ponzi or whatever it is.

He does not even have a marketing campaign and that is the reason of why he is spamming the whole board in here.

I am tired of seeing this kind of people always spamming the forum, seriously, it is really annoying.
1095  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin Cross $50,000 on: December 07, 2017, 10:59:56 PM
in one week.

Nice spamming, are you just trying to increase your post count just by posting this crap? How do you know that bitcoin will go to fifty thousand dollars in just a week?

it is obvious that you have not even read the title before posting that shit.

It will happen when the market decides to, and no, it is not going to happen before the end of the year because it is impossible, doesnt matter what.

We are going to see $20000 and we all know that, we are at $17700 right now, we are so pretty close, but $50000? no way.
1096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: *** Why so many upcoming Bitcoin hard forks in dec 2017? *** on: December 06, 2017, 11:56:10 PM
The forks are Super Bitcoin, Bitcoin Platinum, Bitcoin Uranium, Bitcoin cash plus, Bitcoin silver, Bitcoin lightning network, Bitcoin century, Bitcoin Diamond & Bitcoin God maybe not the latest.

Bitcoin crap 1, Bitcoin crap 2, Bitcoin crap 3, Bitcoin crap 4 and so on..

They all are the same bullshit, i dont know why there are some people who are still using those forks, the only legit ones were Bitcoin Cash and bitcoin gold.

Well, maybe bgold was not a good fork because a lot of people lost a lot of money because of the infected wallet.

But why do we have tons of useless forks right now?

They are super fast schemes in where the owner is the only one who earns a lot of money.
1097  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC surpasses 13k! on: December 06, 2017, 11:32:03 PM
More than 38% in a week, this is amazing but it is too good to be real.

Amazing bull run again this week!

There is an opportunity to make some money, just buy right now and sell at $14,5 or $15, it is really going to touch that price before it tends to go down again.

Do you reckon this means we're now due a steep correction like last week and theres opportunity to take some profits right now and buy on the dip?

We dont know when are we going to see a new dip, but it is not the time to see it going down, it will touch a new all time high during this days.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Failed Transaction Issue on eth on: December 06, 2017, 11:12:35 PM
However, transaction fees are transaction fees. It doesn't matter that the transaction Failed, as long as it was mined

He doesnt know what really happened to his transaction, probably that is the only reason of why he posted it in here.

Anyway, the ethereum blockchain has been giving us a lot of issues lately, it has been pretty slowly since yesterday, and no one knows the real reason of that.

I spent more than 0.005 worth of ethereum in order to send a transaction, and it got confirmed one hour later, this is insane, because normally they use to take less than ten minutes to get all the confirmations.

It will get fixed soon, but a lot of ICO's have cancelled their preico's or delayed them becuase of this issue.

1099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Сryptocurrency Phobia - new social phenomenon on: December 06, 2017, 10:53:32 PM
I bet all my funds that probably 7 of 10 of those people are the only ones who had the opportunity to buy bitcoin at a cheaper price, but they didn't because they were afraid of seeing it crashing.

The more various opinions I hear about Cryptocurrency, the more I realize that there is a new kind of phobic hysteria,

Bitcoin has always been related to someting shady, there is nothing new with this, a few years ago everybody was saying that bitcoin has only been created in order to purchase drugs, scam people, or just rule ponzi schemes.

But in many cases their negative conclusions simply sound like: scam, deception and other "demonizing" statements.

and it has been happening for more than months, even years, but now the real face of bitcoin is cleaning by itself.
1100  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2018 Trillion $ Bitcoin marketcap on: December 06, 2017, 10:39:40 PM
You guys realize that Bitcoin could very possibly hit a trillion dollar market cap next year.

Actual marketcap is over $390 Billion dollars right now, it was less than $180 Billion on the First of November.

More than x2 on the total marketcap in just one month and less than a week, this is incredible.

1 trillion can be easily touched during next year, and if all those companies who said that they were going to release bitcoin futures really open their futures exchange, a lot of people are going to speculate, and of course that they will keep buying more bitcoins.

This is just matter of time until we surpass the real capitalization of gold, we are at a 70% of hitting that.
