1081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do i handle my first gambling experience on: January 22, 2024, 07:38:24 AM
Hello senior citizens and my fellow newbies gambler's, now I gat a straight forward question for you all.
How do I prepare myself for my first gambling experience?
What are the things I should expect as a first time gambler?
How do we react to my first gambling results be it winning or lose?
Thank you all for your helpful opinions.

No need to be too complicated and maybe you already know that the first thing that all gamblers must prepare is a budget as a condition for getting involved, and another thing maybe I will slightly suggest that you must remain careful if you are already involved there because after all this is a very gambling that involves risks that can be far greater than what you imagine. So stick to very good risk management and be assertive there, and also I don't forget to remind that it's best to bring a very small budget amount in the sense that you won't feel too disappointed if it's lost.

I would not advise anyone to put too much hope in winning, because this will only make you feel too disappointed if you end up losing, on the other hand think of gambling as a place for you to fill your spare time when and bored and without bringing any seriousness to the involvement, keep your awareness and understand correctly what gambling is really about, I think this should be able to keep you safe, but if you don't do it then that's another thing.

You've shared quite a strong advice to Op, which contains most of the requirements needed for a newbie to deal with gambling. However, these tips demand experiences for Op to understand them completely. I've watched newbies who have gamblers around them gamble and still made mistakes. I think Op should get hold of the best advice here which is handling his feelings towards win or loss. Then act accordingly with self-control to how much he'd win or lose. Provided he's able to manage his bankroll for a substantial amount of time. His gambling experience will begin to grow. And his meant to have lesser reason to worry about his skills as he's not yet equipped with the right strategies. Truly, Op should expect making some mistakes, and don't rely only on what people has to say about his gambling journey.

The goal of every gambler aside winning big, for some, is not getting addicted. In addiction he should be prepared to know when to end his games, and not chase after the riches. Casinos own the money and carefully observe who to handover few of the money to as a way of advertising their business. Gradually as a gambler, one would get there, but not in a forceful means, which could lead to problem gambling on the long run for the gambler.  What op is to expects as a first-time gambler, would be same with his reactions after a win or lose. That's the primary problem of gamblers, and it has caused lots of players their time and money in gambling. The result triggers the brain like a substance, and the player if not disciplined enough would undergo a series of mistakes trying to get his funds back.
1082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: January 22, 2024, 07:14:25 AM
Some people will easily hurt others because of their frustrations and when you partner it with losing in gambling it will be more serious and others are gonna be in trouble while they have a kind of that person in their house or community. I remember when I had a friend and he was good at playing pools because that's one of the sports in our community that they make bets out of while playing. My friend was just a young guy and when he won big money from those big men, they made some evil plot against him while he was going home and they took his money from him after seriously beating him in the middle of the road and that's only one example of persons that are not supposed to be playing games like that because they cannot handle the heat when they lose their money.

Hmm maybe your friend didn't gamble in a casino. It could be some indoor gambling competition between him and the big men. If it's the later, then the person was actually gambling with hot tempered gamblers. Who can't accept defeat. Or maybe the other men are cliques of friends that rip off a winner's money. That's the risk of gambling with friends, off the casino settings. The casino is there to guarantee that players would be paid after winning. Without facing any dispute with fellow gamblers. However, the offline casino is also not conducive for gamblers because of such attacks. I'd say that gamblers who win early should leave the premises, while the day is clear. This type of attacks happens during the night hours.

At least where I live pool bets are known scams and not one should participate in them, the scam is just a bait and switch scam in which the scammer fakes to play terribly and then gets in an altercation with another customer on a bar, then in order to settle their problems they play pool and make a high bet, and that is when they reveal their superior skill and scam hundreds of dollars out of unsuspecting victims, however if you were to win then they will follow you and rob you anyway, and for what I know this is a common scam all around the world so it is better to avoid those kind of bets completely.

Such games are not fair to gamblers, due to the type of people who participate in the game. I prefer playing pool with close friends, in a well-organized place. Many gamblers prefer wagering money on the game, but it's not advisable given the instance you mentioned above. It's common almost everywhere I've seen people gamble on such game. The outcome ends in chaos or a fight. However, those who participate in the game may have been used to such type of behavior from fellow players. It gets annoying to see the person who claimed to be a terrible player at first, losing the game, despite showing his super skills. He'll start the argument about his opponent not being educated enough about the rules of the game. Their aim is mainly to ruin the game or cause a fight.

Having such an experience, a gambler is not meant to be a participant in those kinds of games, as it's not conducive for everyone. They should have their type of people, those who are ready to fight over a game. Settings like that, should be avoided at all times as a responsible gambler who wants to enjoy the game, and make friends with fellow gambler. Such people also try to misbehave in casino, but the strict security rules chase them away often time, and they'll be left with no other option than to set up or spend time in bars where they can play pool games and fight over who wins or not. Although, those who rob winners in casinos, mainly stay close to where cars are parked, then rob the person once he's done gambling for the day. Preferably for casino users, it's best to go earlier during the day, or lodge in the casino hotel.
1083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 08:48:43 PM
Patience only elongates the time required for some certain factors like cash to finish. Gamblers have many things to bother about, and amongst it include emotional trauma or psychological disorder. With patience, these things can be reduced, and gradually fade away. But, in different contexts one would think of having patience, with his big wins. That only gets the gambler into a bigger trouble. As he may not have been utilizing the need for being patience, which has to do with every gambling factor. Workers have patience waiting for their pay day, but gambling is not a work, as mindrust said. Considering it as an occupation only makes the process difficult for the gambler. He'd be better off, gambling with the need to expand his thinking horizon. Other than as a means to increasing his bank account, as the dream may not be achieved.

Gambling offers lots of promising possibilities that money shouldn't be the priority of any gambler. If treated as it should, gambling would uplift the thoughts of the gambler, and he'd make good life decisions. We all know that life has some coloration with gambling, and at some point, in a real-life situation that needs two options, we can use our gambling skill to dissolve the dispute. Neglecting for the sake of money the good aspect of gambling and all profitable knowledge it has to offer; the player would be easily addicted due to anxiety. Because in gambling money is not assured. The person won't be satisfied gambling and not meeting up with his goals of earning huge money. Aside that, with patience the gambler if serious and dedicated to learning good gambling strategy, would learn easily with lesser troubles.
Truly gambling should be done for fun but in reality it's far from it, alot of people have depend on it as source of income while others as a means of getting rich quickly which is far from it and alot of people have suffered from it and most times ruin their lives then blame it on gambling or something else instead of accepting their false view on it.

The fact is no one should be sad about this issue of early cashout since we have seen were this has been excellent decision and other time, such as Op experience a regretful decision but the truth is, this is better for risk management. Remember this is like greed, most times we win, we regret not staking more while in the next one when we stake much more we likely lose it. Its gambling don't regret it, if you win more or less than expected be grateful while if you lost don't worry much about it.

They now wave the cause of their problem gambling back to casinos. Which is also among the reason they keep going to the casino. Hopefully to beat the house, as a way of showing their revenge. The player would think chasing on the losses would make him one day a big winner. He'd have series of winnings, but lots of losses. Enough losses, that could make him think he's not meeting up with his expectations. It's sad indeed, not admitting that losing out all our money in pursuit for a win is sad, then we are not saying the truth. That's the reason why gamblers are advised to remove some thoughts in them, so that whenever they are faced with losses it wouldn't be a hassle or trouble.

Having the thoughts, creates a view in the brain of the gambler, which triggers him to gamble more money. At the end they'll regret their deeds. Which leaves the player with anxiety and distress. The trouble launches in the brain, making it a very dangerous situation for a person. The brain controls the world of a person. When it's been addicted to something as time and money consuming as gambling. Our behavior definitely would change, thereby rearranging the ideas or plans we had available for our future business plans. Greed is one factor that doesn't encourage the addicted person to rest or sleep. These challenges weaken the activeness and speed of the game. Thereby the gambler can easily misbehave in gambling without any remorse. Something that is not needed in the society and gamblers need to respect their instincts not just in decision making, but in seting up an accurate scores.
1084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 21, 2024, 08:29:12 PM
I have always been interested in reading research in psychology and social sciences, especially those dealing with gambling as a psychological and societal phenomenon. I can conclude that not all centers that care for addicts over a relatively long period of time are effective with high success rates. This conclusion is based on the opinion of experts that the patient should recover in an area of life that includes daily life interactions and not a center that provides suitable conditions for a specific period.

Treatment for addiction in general is a very complex process, especially for the type of “behavioral addiction,” because the rest of the dangerous types of addiction are subject to human chemistry, such as alcohol or drug addiction.

As far as I'm concerned, whenever a person is Treated with this, it is because basically things are going to be focused on a different type of treatment, that is, when they are in this type of Addiction, the first step is not to slander them, It can take away the anxiety they have, but how do they Get rid of it? with sleep treatments, that is, they put them to sleep for many hours until the person achieves total peace, and then if they are talked to so that they can enter their hard Treatment phase , which is basically telling them how they Should Share in a casino , how you Should bet, how you should do so that things do not get out of control , what days you should play, how many hours you should play, or how much money you should spend per day so that it does not affect your daily life, this is often done or done. In that way, of course I assume that this is under a clinic, a psychologist, and many people there to take care of them, because it is like something that they have to manage.

That is why this is so delicate, it is always about doing something about the gambling addiction, which is recommended if the person has all their senses at full capacity, because at any moment they will go off track and start doing things like going to the bathroom. casino, spend money, and you will spend much more, it is logical that you are in an addiction, when people speak to an addict sometimes the words go in one ear and come out the other, it is as if they were not spoken to, then This helps a lot when the so-called "sleep cures" are done , there is nothing like that, the person is as if on another level, the person is calmer, the person rests his mind sometimes that is just what is missing, rest the goal so that everything falls into place, or as I have said in other Messages , try to do sports and get very tired so that the mind feels that it must rest, it is the most logical thing and the most we should focus on doing, otherwise It will be very Difficult to control our addiction.

Putting the addicted person to sleep in the case of behavioral addiction, may be too much for a client that undergoes behavioral therapy. His normal sleeping time would be enough, then putting them to sleep. Aggressive patients are treated in this manner, to let their brain cool off. A player who still watches over his games, despite being an addict, can listen or follow the instruction of the therapist without no dispute. Those who get aggressive in the process, and go against the instruction of the therapist, because it doesn't align with theirs, can be sedated to sleep for a long time. When they're awake can be talked to gradually. The essence of doing this is that, before his strength or energy get restored, he may have been counselled by the therapist. Hence, he'll hardly get sad in the process, and will earn new friendship with the therapist.

Other than that, they'll be no reliable option to calming the agitated addict. The conversation with people, can be arranged within the clinic. Allowing the addict during his free time to share information with workers in the clinic, which can make him happy. Showing him different means of being happy, helps the player to realize gambling is not the only place to get fun. Gambling treatment is different from that of other addictions, but some measure can be similar due to the similar behavior of these set of people. That means addicted people, regardless of the source of their addiction may act in similar way and cannot be treated using same therapy method. Psychotherapy may work for all of them, addicts, but behavioral therapy is best for a gambling addict.
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: January 21, 2024, 01:50:35 PM
How will I blame someone for a loss I have, anyone who have started the journey of gambling must be above the age of 16,and he must be solely responsible and accountable to every action he takes when it comes to selection of the game to play.i don't think anyone can ever be responsible for another person's loss in gambling because while playing, you must have already made up your mind that it's either you win or you loose, one thing must happen. The only way you can blame someone is maybe you gave a game to someone to play, and the person went ahead to play what you didn't predict, and the game eventually plays, one can be angry, and can probably blame who you sent to play the game for you.
We don't need to blame other people for the losses we experience from gambling. When we gamble, we already know that it will cause us to lose a certain amount of money and the more often we gamble, we can lose more money. We have to be responsible when playing gambling so we really have to have limits to prevent lots of losses. You can blame other people for forcing you to gamble, but that rarely happens because gambling depends on each person and there is no compulsion to gamble. So we have to be wise in responding to it and don't need to blame other people if we lose.

Gambling is made to be for adults for this same reason, to deduce the rate of complaints, blames and regrets from gamblers. It's not easy to spend hours in gambling, but we weren't forced or pushed to do it out of our will. However, while blaming people is wrong, taking responsibility is the right option as a gambler. Moving ahead with new motives and re arranging our lives is faster in recovering from our mistakes than any other method, such as regret. Some gamblers behave like this, due to the famous believe that one can be forced to do what they don't want to through their brain. In the sense that a friend who reminded or introduced them to gambling is at fault and should be blamed for their gambling addiction. The person has no explanation to make, but it's important to include these things in our discussions with non-gamblers.

Most of them don't have a strong foundation of gambling information before venturing into the niche. The choices remain with the gambler, not his friends. He wagered the money hoping for more money. If he won those games, would he have blamed his friends, or appreciate him for helping him get a win in gambling, no. People take responsibility only when there is a success, and blame others for their failure. I've experienced this, and concluded not to talk about gambling to people who are non-gamblers. Things may get sour along the line, they'll have me in mind, once the trouble begin. Tagging their friends in every complaint wouldn't be hard to them anymore. To stay on a safer side, it's better for the gambler to focus on changing his lifestyle for good and battle his addictive nature.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 21, 2024, 01:29:29 PM
True! That's one of the worst thing that you did because you used up your savings, in the end you might just end up in debt because you have already touched the money that you have. We can't say that even if we give an advice to someone, they will stay away from gambling, it's hard for them too but it depends on the situation and the determination of a gambler
Touching your savings just to gamble should be a very clear sign that things are wrong with you, as that is money that should not be touched for any reason other than to make an investment or an emergency, and since gambling does not fall into any of those two categories, anyone that does that is sending a very clear signal that they are unable to control themselves and should do anything in their power to stop gambling before things get out of control.

If a gambler plays game with his savings and stops there when he's got no money left, it'll be better than taking loan for gambling purpose. Meddling with our savings is wrong, but it's bitter to gamble with borrowed money. The fun of gambling disappears the moment we begin to wager borrowed money. The player will have to stay worried at all times, especially when he losses the money. Yes, with determinations, the gambler can save himself out of the trouble, but it's rare to solve. Unless the gambler has other good streams of income, that wouldn't be a torn in his flesh. Not having a clear plan or decisions about staying responsible as a gambler, may cause a dangerous experience for the gambler. The goal of such gamblers revolves around making profits, and whatever idea that pops to their mind would be utilized regardless of the risk. They jump over the need to have self-control, because it seems to them that the strategy will reduce their chances of winning big. I'd say participating in gambling for money, alone, affects the thoughts of the gambler. Most of them who reason this way, probably will lose their self-control. Thereby endangering their financial economy to an extent of being in deep trouble. Which may cost the happiness of the player and introduce them to addiction.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does casino streamers have influence in your gambling life? on: January 21, 2024, 12:42:04 PM
They used to have in the beginning as I thought these guys keep winning so regularly and I thought they were playing from referral link money not from casino sponsored money. Now that I know most casinos sponsor them I can be a sponsored person too, there is not much effort in buying a gaming team and a great video recording tool with all those special effects that they do,I love slots so I can also play for hours without getting bored with money from the casinos that they sponsor me,so these streamers I don't watch them anymore as I know they are just a tool in the promotion programs of different casinos.

This streamers they built their accounts to the stage of getting sponsorship from the casinos therefore they're not just depending on money from sponsor to keep their channel active. There are many streamers that are streaming from the profits they get from the platforms they're using to stream as not all streamers are getting sponsorship from casinos. I also use to think they're the best individuals to follow as they're playing the same game regularly but I was wrong.

I stop when I realized many of them aren't streaming those games for profits but for entertainment. As a gambler that wants to make profits from gambling, if you follow an individual that isn't gambling for the same purpose you'll lose your money as they don't care when they lose but you'll have to care. Most streamers are just having fun and the main source of the money isn't from playing those games.

It's fun to control a huge followship on social media, most of them may not care about the funds from the platform. But the streamers working for the casino, indeed needs the sponsorship and streams to help the casino yield more traffic. Hence, the casino only goes for the streamers who have traffic and loyal fans. However, what they do is not meant to change or influence a gambler's life. To a stage of wagering more money than he's expected to spend. The problem would be for the gambler to amend, and not blame the streamer for his misfortune. I enjoy watching them play for fun purposes, not money or winning like the way they do. Greedy gamblers get low balled to believing what they see those streamers do, most of them are working with the casino, to help them manipulate results.

It has been repeatedly said, and even if it's not true, the streamers, are not gambling with their personal money. It allows them a better strength of gambling with good decision making, than a player who argues about his decision because he doesn't want to lose out his money. Although not all of them are experts, but they've got some morale and strategies to optimize their winning possibility. The fun is there, added with the funds offered by the casino. Streamers are quite growing each day as a powerful advertising technique for casino. People love to see a player boosts of his big earnings. Lots of people gambling prematurely as a result of other gamblers winnings. Hence, those who let themselves get carried away by the actions of these gamblers, should be ready to face whatever result they get. As it may not look like that of the streamer.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 12:21:32 PM
If you are worried about the money you are about to lose, you shouldn't be gambling in the first place, let alone having patience... Gambling is not about making big money, it is about having fun. If you see gambling as a job, sooner or later you will lose your patience anyway it is because you think you are working when you are gambling. What does a man who works for money want, if he wants to make more money? He will want to work more. In this situation he will want to gamble more. It is a big trap.
It's really not good to gamble by worrying about losing the capital we use in gambling. We won't be able to focus on the game and also enjoy the games we play. If we think of gambling as a place to make money, of course it will be very difficult for us to enjoy it. the game and we only think about winning so that the capital we bring to gamble easily runs out and we don't enjoy the game.

When gambling, it is very necessary to be able to control our emotions so that we don't play greedily so that we can easily lose the games we play. When we gamble frequently, we will certainly have financial problems that cannot meet our own needs.

Patience only elongates the time required for some certain factors like cash to finish. Gamblers have many things to bother about, and amongst it include emotional trauma or psychological disorder. With patience, these things can be reduced, and gradually fade away. But, in different contexts one would think of having patience, with his big wins. 1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you care about what people say about you gambling? on: January 21, 2024, 09:45:53 AM
Sometimes, we don't need to listen to what other people say because their comments to you will become your basis in yourself,it's hard to listen and trust what other people say because we don't know what their intentions are when criticizing you, their judgement may be good or bad but at It's better if you will listen to your family and closest one who knows you better and wants to improve yourself in life, for real.
Gambling can either been seen as negative or positive activity, it depends on a person's point of view. Gambling is an open activity in which anyone can participate without any pressure from others. Besides, this is a free world, and I've worked hard enough to pay my bills, so I won't tolerate any type of abuse from anyone; after all, I'm not looking for an entitlement post in either religion or where I work. We are citizens who work sufficiently forceful to ensure that we create our primary income for ourselves and our families, and we do so while simultaneously creating change for pockets.

Caring over what people have to say won't make any changes in the life of a gambler. We have unique priorities and should respect our motives of gambling. Hearsays is not in any way the reason why I started gambling. So, pondering about the reactions of people around us is a personal decision. Not everyone is independent enough to bypass the wordings of his close friends or family. Those thoughts seem annoying and is able to affect one's attitude. I wouldn't recommend that any gambler gets obsessed by what other non-gamblers has to say about gambling. Its certain no-good words would come out of their mouth. Because they've got no knowledge about gambling. And don't bother asking their acquittances who gamble to explain gambling to their understanding.

They rely on what is said around the society and speak in that sense. Which is wrong for anybody to say things without having done any research. I think the gambler would have himself to blame if he's adhering to the words of those who know little or nothing about gambling. It's like downgrading years of gambling research for the advice of a layman. Being a responsible gamble gets questioned by such people, that thinks every gambler is compulsive. The right thing is minding our business and stay strong not to get carried away by other people's lifestyle. As running back and forth over the thoughts of people on us, can be distracting and affect us mentally. If not for anything, gamblers deserve a cool and relaxed mental health.
1090  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of proper knowledge on casino games increases chance of loss and reduce fun on: January 20, 2024, 10:38:22 PM
More or less experience gives better results in everything but in casino or gambling experience does not always win the bet rather luck in gambling or casino often favors. Sometimes inexperienced gamblers get big profits just because of luck while many times experienced gamblers face big losses because of bad luck. So in this case I will not give priority to experience for gambling but in this case gambler's luck often gives more results than experience.

You're correct, we don't need experience to win in casino games, you only need experience in sport betting or poker. Casino games are luck based games, you don't need experience to win a dice or slot game. You just have to be lucky and you'll win. When gambling don't think you'll always win, casino games are easy to lose as the house has the edge. They'll always be the ones who win from all the individuals that are gambling, only a few individual will win the house when they gamble.

When gambling, just gamble for fun and not to get any experience that you'll use in the future when you want to gamble as it'll not work. If you want your experience to help you to win when you gamble then play more of sport betting. When you know the teams that are playing and how in form they're, you can predict which side will win the game but still you need luck to be on your side to win.

In the game Op named, black Roulette, experience isn't exempted. To understand the game, the player needs to know how it works. Where to place his predictions to increase his chances of winning. They're numbers he'd place on, and he'd have lesser wins. I think Op is cool with his topic, especially when referring to black roulette. His statement may be wrong for other games, where luck thrives over experience. Black roulette players also depend on luck for big jackpots, but follow the luck path can lead a gambler out there complaining like Op. The experience to understand when and where to place our money, can save the person some stress of bothering about our actions or failure.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Social aspects of online gambling on: January 20, 2024, 10:30:31 PM
If I look at it from this side, it is probably true that people who go to physical casinos will get other services that casinos do not provide, namely the opportunity to socialize with many people in person and this is an advantage that we will not be able to get if we gamble at online casinos. With this opportunity, it can pave the way for you to have relationships with many people and maybe you can make many new friends which is certainly true what you said that our gambling will feel more fun. Now in this modern era everything looks easier to do, one example might be from gambling, you can choose according to what you want, if you really don't want to bother leaving the house then obviously your choice is to get involved in online casinos but if you want to meet lots of people in person with a lively atmosphere that can make you feel more happy or mean you are one of those people who like crowds then of course you can come to a physical casino, all of this is your choice.

Online gambling gives portability and comfortability than the offline casino but doesn't provide some of the good things of life offline casino possess. Although nobody is restricted from using the offline casino, the online players can switch to physical casino any moment they feel lonely. However, not everybody has the ability to start or hold conversations with other people, hence the offline casino may not be a conducive place for them, regardless. Hence, it's crucial that gamblers who intend to make fun while using the physical casino should be able to engage and approach people. But if they have a clique already, it wouldn't be a hassle to get fun there. I think most online gamblers are comfortable with the provision of the opportunity to gamble online. Other requirements are secondary, the aim has been achieved. Gambling and getting paid online is what matters.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: January 20, 2024, 09:48:06 PM
Madness is also defined as "behavior or thinking that is very foolish or dangerous : extreme folly"
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/madness
From the above definition, you can clearly see that the before of the man cited advice is very foolish and dangerous, which connects to the topic of this thread and validated that the man is actually MAD. From the moment anyone loses control of his involvements in gambling, tho the extent of doing irrational things either to acquire money to sustain your addiction or  to victimize your family or those around you, you've clearly lost your mind and need help.
Gambling addiction itself is madness because its a foolish and irrational behavior, its very  painful that people make choices to be mad instead of remaining sane with moderate gambling, or not gambling at all.  I wish every gambler out there sanity of moderate gambling because the insanity that comes with addiction is very destructive in nature.

You are really serving the addicts some raw advice. It's not simple to be addicted, gamblers need to be wary of being a victim. Handling the trauma is not easy. The man may have been traumatized for a long time. Maybe his relations paid no close attention to his self-struggle. Which developed to a wild behavior. Being insane differs and the definition you have for gambling addicts, isn't wrong, but should be used sparingly based on the level of addiction. The man in the story, yes, is insane and needs lots of efforts to cure his trouble. His irrational behavior is not meant to be tagged with that of the addicted gambler who is barely trying to recognize what is with him. Such a person despite gambling, compulsively, may not be called an insane person. As there are lots of irrelevant things he cannot do for gambling.

And that makes him sane. Some of them when they've ran out of money, their urge to gamble reduces, and they may be blaming themselves for spending money that way. But the addiction sets back once the money arrives. I think that's the only irrational attitude to expect for this type of gamblers, not being able to hold money without gambling. It looks weird, but not as bad as the man in the thread who caused pain to his family, in such an ill manner. Due to anger, we may be pushed to say that they chose to be in that situation. But truly, nobody wants to be like that. It's not a choice to be in such a condition, negligence caused many people to put on such shoes. Mental disorder could be so tough that the victim acts as though he's purposely executing his ill actions.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: January 20, 2024, 09:07:46 PM
yeah you right gambling not something you take as an income source or something that can give daily profit too because is all about luck so either wins or lose.
Is not easy to persuade a gambler to stop because he or she will be like  they haven't achieved the goal they wanna achieved or the jackpot they wanna hit so they will keep going but the painful truth that most of them end up ruin there lives or some end up hitting that certain jackpot that end up being a life changer to them.
Even those that were lucky enough to get the win they wanted to obtain will not be satisfied and will keep gambling, after all if they put themselves a goal and they were able to reach it then why not do the same again and earn more money this way? So no matter what happens those people will keep gambling as long as they have some money to do it, this is why it is so important to never let your gambling out of control, because once that happens a recovery attempt will most likely not happen until you lose everything.

Those who can control their gambling habit still hand over the jackpot back to the casino. Time or duration is the difference. Unless a gambler stopped gambling, almost impossible, after winning a jackpot, he'd spend all the money in gambling. We all need to accept that gambling is not easy to stop, for a responsible gambler, not to speak of an addicted gambler. We'd be looking at bigger troubles from the addicted person. Not all responsible gamblers would be able to control the urge of increasing the amount of money they wager, after winning a jackpot. Probably it requires a high level of self-control to get hold of that gravity. What then would be the fate of those who chased for this jackpot, and later got it. Those years of chasing losses and finally they won.

The money may not stay for a longer duration, until it gets exhausted. Being able to delay gravity, can do, for a gambler to manage his big wins. Hardly have I seen a gambler that stopped gambling after winning a jackpot but have read them in articles. Yet don't believe it. Because it seems to be almost impossible for a gambler to quit gambling immediately, he gets a big win. Some claim they invested the money back to their businesses. Which is quite a great idea. That means the person wasn't gambling for any other thing, other than his personal business. Gamblers who ventured into gambling for the purpose of it, have no reason to stop gambling, when there is enough money to pay for months or years of gambling experience. Most times it's nobody's fault, people's motives vary and needs to be blamed.

Those lies could help, but not forever. Sometimes humans forget what they said previously about a certain question. When that same question is repeated other times, weeks later, the recipient of the question may not give an answer that matches his previous answer, if he lied. The truth sticks to the brain, and we don't need to bother about fabricating something to say. They'll be nothing to lie about computerized objects moving in the screen. The child sees the avatars, and characters in the game. S/he may be wondering why daddy is seriously playing such games, that looks like it's meant for kids. Looking at it they know it's a game, why a grown adult is playing such a game.

Actually, the child may not be satisfied with the answer; truth or lies. So, they'll have to asks again some other times. When it doesn't correspond, the child may remind us of our previous answer, the lie didn't match. Creating more confusions. I think they'll should be more explanations to do, when in such a condition, a child being inquisitive of our gambling activity. Drawing an image, in the child's mind, of the quality and importance of the game, without mentioning gambling, that made you to engage in the game every day. Explanations makes confusing things clearer and brighter for a child. Let them see a reason. It will reduce the rate the child repeats his or her questions. While at it try diverging the discussion to other life situations and bringing it back to the main topic. With a good interpersonal skill, the gambler doesn't need to hide and play gambling. Unless the child distracts us from being attentive in the game, changing location will be fine.

I think fathers should pay full attention to this precaution, because if they really think that the future of a child is more important than anything else then I don't think they should forget something that should be done like diverting the answer to a question that a child asks you, but if a father always forgets to do this then I think there is another reason or they don't really care about their child. I don't think we need to go too far in making up things like this, because it is clear that the main point that a father should do is that they must keep gambling activities out of the sight of their children, there is no other reason because this is the best thing to do if they feel that the future of their children is far more important than anything else.

By doing this, it is clear that there will be no follow-up from other questions because a child will never again see your activities that are too serious in looking at the screen because you can really divide gambling time with time for a child. Usually a child will be easily distracted by other things they see, and that means that what you can do is take their attention away from gambling and divert it to other things that can make them feel happy, with this in my opinion it is less likely for them to ask you again about what they saw before, on the other hand you have also said this that the point is that parents must be able to distract a child.

The future of the child is very vital, and every parent need to keep it as a top priority, because we know the implication of gambling addiction to a loved one. Diverting their attention with stories help with kids around me, the only hard part of it is the distraction. Wanting to play the game or watch me play the game. Those requests leave me with no other option than to gamble during their bedtime. As it'll help me concentrate and make the right decision. The noise and cry of a child easily distract my attention and could lead to a mistake. As I said, previously, since money and the child's health are involved, it's crucial to be attentive towards my gambling decisions. Because misbehaving could cost the happiness of the child, if money runs out in gambling and none left to settle his bills.

Risking it wouldn't be nice, all full attention is needed to succeed as a father in gambling. Offering the child new devices for playing video games can help keep the child busy, while we regulate his screen time. Not to get him addicted. Kids are beginning to spend lots of time on screen, so we must be careful on diverting the child's thoughts using this strategy. Allowing a child's distraction would cost the gambler a lot of brain power, to moderate himself and the child. Looking at the odd, gambling when the child is not around us is the best option. It enables the gambler to focus and not bother about talking to a child while gambling. Then increases his chances of winning, not just it, being fully in control of his decisions matters a lot.
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mental rehabilitation clinic. on: January 20, 2024, 07:01:23 PM
Getting helped for gambling addictions is one thing that comes with a lot of resistance and confrontation from the addict himself, and for that, if you want to help anyone in terms of help, it becomes very important to take note of the individual willingness to get helped from that addictions.

Because if the addict himself is not willing to get treated, it will becomes impossible for him to get treated even if there is a formal treatment clinic for his case, this is because he will develop a resistance against that treatment, but if he knows the effects of his addictions on his overall well being, he will then learn to adjust inline with the treatment so it an individual thing before third party help.

Gambling addicts are indeed influential but it's up to you if you want to become like them, actually you don't have to totally avoid them as if they have contagious disease because what they have is improper thinking and uncontrollable mindset about their spending in gambling. If you are having an addiction, one way to know how to treat yourself is by consulting professionals because they are the one who knows what will you do or what medicines you need to take, I understand that some people doesn't have enough money for consultation that's why I agree with you that a Gambling addict patient should have to be close to their family members and get a verbal and emotional support.

Addicts may be influential to people who listen and spend time with them, it's not their task to change an addict. An addict may not be able to influence a person who wants to help them, especially when the addict is willing to stop gambling compulsively. The trouble we have is the reaction of people towards addicts, that doesn't mean we are supposed to avoid them or not associate with the likes of addicts, but getting carried away by their conversations and not being effective with our responses can cause delays in the healing of the addict. Hence our active participation is required in converting the person's lifestyle and create a better thinking avenue in the brain of the person, to relieve himself from too many gambling thoughts. In a scenario where the addict doesn't have people close by to take good care of him, he'd need to revisit his parents or loved ones to handle his problems.

Nobody will ever be so real like those loved ones who really care. The only dispute could be that the addict wouldn't have the zeal to go back home for his treatments. People in that psychological problem, hardly accept that help could come from family or friends. The need to check up on them is better, than waiting for the addict to take action before we help. At that stage of addiction, he could be a dip trouble and may not be able to make good decisions on his own. However, their actions may not correspond with ours, but approaching them begins the healing process faster than waiting for their change of mind. Before helping them. What if the person doesn't want to change, but we are passing through hard times living with the person. It'll be of no good, to stay calm waiting until he decides to change.
1096  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 20, 2024, 06:10:40 PM
Yes, that's true, gambling can't be guaranteed to always result in profitable wins, but if you lose, I think it's bound to happen. because gambling is a game created by the host and the host's goal is to make a profit, so of course they will not win easily, they will always win. It is not recommended to make gambling your main income or job, unless you work as staff at a casino company, maybe you can consider it.

It is very unlikely that someone can win consistently, because the chance of winning is slimmer than the chance of losing, and some people say that the more often you gamble, the closer you will be to winning, I don't know, I think that's just nonsense. it's impossible for the facts to be like that. After all, if it was like that, maybe many people would have won big, but the fact is that even though someone has been gambling for a long time, they never get a big win. So in my opinion, gambling every day only accelerates us to achieve misery in life.
It is not recommended to make gambling your main job because making a profit from gambling is not as easy as you imagine. Indeed, playing gambling does not make you tired because you don't need to spend a lot of energy to make money, but gambling is uncertain, we cannot rely on the profits every day, let alone Thinking about winning big is of course impossible because the host takes more advantage than giving profits to the gamblers and we won't be able to beat the host easily.

It's true because in fact the chance of winning in gambling is very small and the chance of losing is very big, especially if we are not able to control ourselves and continue to gamble every day which makes you think it will bring you closer to victory, even though it will only spend your money gradually and you will get worse. It's difficult to recover your losses, so don't ever think that gambling every day can give you a profit someday because the longer you gamble, the closer you are to gambling addiction.

That's reachable, gamblers can get addicted if they do it every day, but not all gamblers. Although the player may seem to be addicted, in the eyes of people around him, because they conclude he won't go a day without gambling. Addiction is not about how many days the person gambles. It has to do mental strength and self-control. A person that gambles everyday can decide to stay weeks without gambling, due to some new developments in their personal life. But an addict will find it hard to spare a minute without gambling. However, those bad players who wager money every day on a game, may not get what they want. Looking at their reactions you'd understand that a companion maybe what they want, when trying to tell others about their gambling technique.

It's a boring habit to gamble for a long time each day. The duration is an important factor whenever we gambler, not just the regularity of our gambling actions. If I gambler 5 hours every day wagering little money, it's closely impossible to get in trouble, compared to when I gambler for more than 10hrs wagering big amount of money. Regardless of how big our bank roll is, gambling for long hours every day can affect the gambler's behavior, to lose control of himself. Sometimes it's not about the funds, though contributes a lot, the consistency can get used to the body and brain of the gambler. Such that staying a day without gambling could cost the appetite of the gambler, until he gambles. To them it'll be more like a wasted time, for staying days without gambling.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to ride and stop! on: January 20, 2024, 05:39:03 PM
Chasing losses in gambling affects the financial economy of the gamblers. When doing that, the gambler is now spending on one purpose, different from what they previously had: claiming back the lost money. This state of mind grows deeper anytime the gambler continues to lose his money.

And instead of chasing the losses, why not consider our new session as a new start of gambling after taking a break?

Not actually forget nor don't mind those losses on our previous session but instead, take this new session as a fresh start that we need to win here.

Having that purpose of chasing losses will never end and the cycle will just repeat in every session.

Disconnecting sessions from each other doesn't really mean that the overall balance looks differently. Actually, I think people would still call it a losing streak even if they take a break, but then "lose" most of the games in the "new" session again. It could quickly lead to a wrong perception of what is going on. If you lose 100 dollars in one session and then win 50 dollars in the next session, some people might think they are back on track. But in reality they are still at a loss. Calculating in sessions isn't necessarily the best way to account for the outcomes of the games.

These thoughts of profits and loss, complicates the reasoning of gamblers to see it as business, and nobody would want to lose in a business. That's why most times before we are taught about a skill we'll be mandated to pay for it, such that when the person thinks of leaving the knowledge, he remembers how much he paid to learn it, he'd rush back to trying out the knowledge practically. Same thing happen to gamblers, because they will always remember the money they've lost in gambling and would try again to retrieve it back in some ways. Think of video game players, they enjoy the game, even when tired, would go back to play some more. That feeling of time and money used in purchasing the device, leaves the person trying again. Removing these thoughts will save many gamblers from problem as they'll see gambling for it is, win or loss.

Calculating who got the most win or lose, shouldn't bother a gambler since he's not in a business. His only duty would be controlling his emotions and mental health, not to get attached into the activity. Which can be achieved by not harboring the win big intentions in gambling. There are multiple non addictive activities we could look into for a big win. Aside gambling, our business can be a place to win big. Growing with the intention of getting huge amount of gambling can be a very stressful intention because the person will have to live forever with gambling, just to achieve his goals. In whatever technique we think is the best in dealing with chasing of loss; our motives and thoughts plays a good reason to stay without being bothered.
1098  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your gambling life could affect your relatives lifes. on: January 20, 2024, 05:20:31 PM
If I had a relative who is addicted to gambling, I wouldn’t give him any money no matter how little or small it is. I will only help you to establish yourself and not support an act that ruins you. I wouldn’t also let his gambling affect me because I am a different person from him, it’s his lifestyle and the best I can do is feel pity for his life but it’s his life and not mine. If you want to gamble, do it decently. It doesn’t hurt to be (and act) responsible, or does it?
that’s right, you need to be passionate about games. I had a friend who became very interested in gambling, which resulted in negative consequences such as problems with money and damaged relationships with all his loved ones. Therefore, he became an example for me of what can happen if you gamble and not being aware of the consequences.

The best lesson is experiencing the mistake of other gamblers. A gambler who goes ahead to fall victim of addiction, despite being there during the days of a friend's struggle, may have never understood why his friend was in that situation. However, it'll be difficult for a person who helps others get out of their struggle, get into the same trouble or struggle. That's why in the quest of helping a friend, we must be careful to avoid the trouble affect us psychologically or mentally. The truth is you are not the cause of the person's problem, your duty was rendering some help, which is the best you can offer. Allowing it to live with you for long, is now personal decision. And the gambler needs to battle with all the traces of thoughts left in his memory. Hanging out with him can be a refresher to the forgotten past memories in us, and they're people we can't escape seeing once in a while.

That's why it's still fine to say that the gambling problem can affect the relative of the addict. These people owe him visits at some point, questioning him on his health, and how good he's coping in life. Unless he's a friend, that would be bearable as we both may not see each other again, if one person had to travel to another location. Different people have unique ways of thinking, which entails that, even if others forget it, the addict, and his immediate parent will have to battle with such though for a longer while. Until something extremely significant happens again in the life of the person. The brain forgets the previous if another important news results. Especially if the person gets responsible and begin to succeed in his daily endeavors. And tend to make life sweeter for his parents, they will begin to forgo those thoughts, gradually.
1099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 20, 2024, 04:56:41 PM
Experts who sell their predictions, are not genuine most of the time. They are more concerned in selling those predictions as a means of making money through gambling, as wagering money offers lesser money in return. Most experts prioritize in making money in different means using gambling as the niche or the main center of attraction. Writing books, blog, tv shows, etc. include many other ways an expert can earn money from his skills and expertism. Sadly, the self-acclaimed experts we encounter these days don't care about making improvements. They bother only on sales. Gamblers that pay for predictions, complain, still, for losing out both ways. More expenses. Paid for the prediction, lost the game. The genuine experts who understand that no accurate strategy for winning in gambling, wouldn't guarantee anyone that they'll win using his predictions or strategy. A lot of experts boldly write in their book that their prediction shouldn't be taken as 100% accurate. Every gambler is expected to devise his own prediction and gamble. That's true fun. Winning out of someone else's prediction, only gives back the glory to the expert. Not the gambler.
Those who sell their predictions to people often get predictions from other prediction groups and then spread them among their own groups and say that it is the result of their analysis. People who use that prediction will not know at all if it is not the result of their analysis. Those people will be very happy to get these predictions and will immediately place their bets. That is why we have to learn to analyze ourselves and try to find sources of information that we can trust. We need to look for more information about the match that will take place for each team. This can help us to analyze each team so that we can continue to learn good and correct ways of analyzing. We also won't depend on people who share their predictions with people because we can already predict and know which team we can choose as a bet. But when someone shares a prediction with the public, we can use it after we do further analysis to find out how he got the prediction results. It is also part of improving our way of analyzing a match.

reanalyzing the analysis of the experts will help the gambler to have a firsthand information on the predictions and why it was kept the way it is by the expert. That would be extra work for the gambler, coupled with the amount of money he has paid to the expert. Many wouldn't want to engage into such stress again, they'll wager the amount of money that looks substantial for a big win on the prediction, because it's from an expert. The gambler would think it's accurate, then he'd definitely make it big. That's always a bad experience for gamblers in money aspect. In most case if the prediction works at some point the gambler won't stop buying the predictions. He'd stick to it despite seeing he's not winning anymore with the expert's help. It's fine that we may not mind wagering more money, even when we are losing out money.

But of what use would it be patronizing, over and over, an expert who contributes to the losses. It'll be great for the gambler to do it himself, since no difference is spotted. The player may get luckier using his prediction compared to what the expert has to offer. I've realized that gambling requires not much stress, doing lots of research and analysis. Investing little time predicting the game can be profitable than reading all the sport channels for hours trying to know what a football result will become in the next few hours. What will be of the match will be, and no amount of research would change it. The casual prediction has worked for many gamblers, including myself. Those games you thought wouldn't be positive or yield profits, ends up playing in your favor. While the ones we think is sure, ends up disappointing us, the gambler.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe in gambling experts predictions? on: January 19, 2024, 11:16:01 PM
Experts rarely share their strategies to people, as they are busier with figuring out those strategies than making money. A player whose goal is to make money may not be able to invest the time experts utilize in maintaining a strategy. That's why it'll be difficult to get an expert's prediction. They do not believe it can work for somebody else, even if they shared the technique, s/he won't understand or win from it. Gamblers are not encouraged to try people's strategies. It needs to be mastered and accepted by the gambler, that he'll be able to retain his techniques without getting fed up. People who claim this, being an expert, gamble for money, and needs extra sources of income. If a real expert opens up himself to the society, people will keep asking him questions. Definitely some predictions of the expert won't work. Then people can begin to divorce the expert.
Those who depend on an expert must be able to find someone who can analyze well because, so far, it is very rare to get predictions from an expert. Those who claim to be experts always say that their predictions are accurate, even though that will not always happen. A true expert will not openly say that he is an expert, but he will only tell it to people who know him. These experts do not want to be relied on by people who expect their predictions. They can also gamble alone without anyone following their predictions because they really gamble responsibly. People who rely on someone who claims to be an expert should be able to think that the predictions of this person who claims to be an expert will not always be correct. They must learn to analyze the match themselves and not rely on an expert. By learning on his own from many sources, he can improve his analytical skills and place bets without having to wait for predictions from an expert.

Experts who sell their predictions, are not genuine most of the time. They are more concerned in selling those predictions as a means of making money through gambling, as wagering money offers lesser money in return.
