1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has already campaign for itself on: July 19, 2023, 10:05:21 PM
Let me say that Bitcoin has taken it stand and theirs no point of carrying out campaign of Bitcoin like before or imposing Bitcoin knowledge to children which we know that with time those children you are trying to teach bitcoin will know of Bitcoin through a social media. I have come across so many topics pointing at teaching children bitcoin why Bitcoin has already taking space of it own as decentralized currency. Do you know that with the awareness of Bitcoin now you don't need to convince somebody to invest in bitcoin, why before you have to convince people to invest, bitcoin is now a choice of investment which anyone who invested will Google out the process of investing through internet direction, I love to say Bitcoin has plant itself with internet dispensation of information.

Learning is a continuous process

I hope you understand that there is something called social engagement, this phrase may look small but has helped in many ways. The fact that something is is used already by group of people doesn't mean there shouldn't be a social engagement. Look at this forum for example, it one of the best practices in f social engagement where we talked about other things about gambling, economic, altcoins and exchanges but when the world Bitcoin Forum, you already know that they are talking about the real Bitcoin and that's how social engagement work.

Bitcoin is now in the stage we don't force it acceptance to people, what we need about it is adoption which it's already achieving buy we need more or it, we need a stage for Bitcoin were the adoption would be 60% when there is any discussion about digital currency, where Gerry (SEC) will be press on the neck. 1082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't expect everyone to embrace Bitcoin on: July 19, 2023, 08:26:39 PM
The earlier we understand that bitcoin is not for everyone, the better because it saves us the time and energy that we would have used to convince those who are uninterested, to move on to those who are interested and it can also drive adoption faster. I've read some threads here of some people trying to convince their family members on the positives of Bitcoin and get enraged if the said members don't share the same opinion as them but I feel everyone is entitled to his opinion and while some regard Bitcoin with outright disgust like Charlie Munger, there are some who care less of it's existence.

There is a clear difference between forcing to convince and convincing to learn, the latter is what I think people who opened threads here are doing, they are happy to know about bitcoin because some people comes from where they are used to Fiat all their life and Bitcoin becomes a puzzle in their life which they were able to unlock and understand. With this, wouldn't you want to teach your family and friends about Bitcoin, about how it works and how payment can be made to anyone without any middle, that's what is enticing about Bitcoin.

Quote
Bitcoiners have the opportunity to stand for something and that's eliminating the need for central authorities such as the government and banks and rather than forcing everyone to confirm to their beliefs, it's better to find an audience worth serving. What's your take, guys?

Not everyone will embrace Bitcoin and we are aware of it but it shouldn't be a limit to adoption, it will be spread until it get to people who don't know how it work and perhaps the right messages would change their mind and how traditional finance might have affected them to accept their life style, having Bitcoin and using it have its own way of making you unique.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can I save my brother by investing in btc now? on: July 19, 2023, 07:46:22 PM
sorry,I come from China,The following is translated by machine ,My brother has leukemia. I have already owed  30,000 US dollars. But my brother still hasn't improved. I finally got the bone marrow last week. The doctor said it would cost about 75,000 US dollars. My total assets are about 3,000 US dollars now. If I want to treat my brother. Is it too late to buy btc now?thank you

Don't dare try it, don't even give it a second thought even if the treatment is not now, health comes first before investment, you will most likely make nothing significant now with the current state of the market. I don't know any investment that you will find invest $3000 into that will make you something in a short while, anyone that promise you any profit are lying to you and may scam you, even in tbe long run, there is no a guarantee that bitcoin will give you $70,000 that you need for surgery, better find alternative way out.

I also hope you have a better way to start over Bitcoin because the last time I check, Bitcoin is ban in China Dr everyone, putting your money is like jeopardizing your brother health and the authorities as well because they may one day in tbe future ask for the source of the money, I hope you find a solution to your brother and quick recovery.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going to Bitcoin events on: July 18, 2023, 09:02:03 PM
Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?
I am something biased at this because of internet sayings, biased in positive side that they are very benefiting and worth my time, share your experiences about going to events is good or bad ,
are you gone to any bitcoin events ? and, in which way it helped you, do you learned new things that is very difficult to learn on internet, do you met amazing people, do going to that events worth your time and money.

I have attended one but it was virtual where they talk about wallet security and privacy, it is very difficult to see pure Bitcoin fancy gatherings and events but I have had an encounter with some couples of some guys and we share a lot about Bitcoin addresses and some improvements they made about how taproot saves a lot of fees but they were more exposed to centralized exchanges from their preference of discussion, they were discussing some minor sats exchange gives to traders who do trading competitions.

However, there is something I picked about Bitcoin events, they don't quite happen the way altcoins do make events every time probably because those coins have sponsors and they are spending money from the foundation but Bitcoin doesn't do this because there are no funds for this but I pray that one day I see one Bitcoin event,
1085  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 18, 2023, 08:45:13 PM
Pep Guardiola is an amazing manager. Their success in this regard is already enough to tell us this. The fact that they won the triple trophy with Manchester City last year proved this once again. They left one of the biggest tournaments in Europe and one of the biggest in the world as champions. He will probably continue to coach at Manchester City unless he wants to leave Manchester City anymore.
Pep Guardiola has the capacity to form a great team, even though he is getting older but his ideas in implementing strategies are getting more skilled and creative. So it is suitable for both old and young players. Currently, the composition of Manchester City players is in a favorable condition, considering that other clubs are almost in a transition phase so that Manchester City's stable advantages can be put to good use. For preparations for next season, everything will continue according to Pep Guardiola's plan, despite the loss of several important players, with financial support he can buy a worthy replacement.

Any team can form a team that has a capacity and this is why the champions all play 38 matches before they come to the Champions League group stage but now the question is, is your team capable of knocking out other teams from other clubs? Manchester City has a good history of outstanding performance in their domestic Premier League but they don't make it out of the Final match in most cases and throughout their history in football, they only won a single Champions League trophy which Pep used 8 years to get through the help of De Bruyne and Haaland.

The Champions League is difficult to predict and you can never tell what will happen especially in the group stage, and there is the addition of some teams that weren't here the last time Manchester City won the Champions League, I expect to see a new game entirely and how Real Madrid are going to blend into this season after a failed season.
1086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling everywhere on: July 18, 2023, 07:40:29 PM
Gambling gambling gambling everywhere there are gamblers everywere either online or shops and some gamblers are not happy to be one because they are addicted to it, now come to the present day question, how do you feel after making a stake? People on these forum mostly gambling board, lot of people here do say we should use spare money to make a bet (stake) but we all know that there is nothing like a spare money if people save money for future use I don't think a well thinking person will also save money for gambling, I think everybody who gambled sometimes does not know when they are in a gambling shops, just imagine you're about to check your past bets and you find your self about to stake another, please don't see it the other way round.
So if you use our saved money to stake a bet, what really comes next to your mind? I will like us to talk about this.

I have come across a similar question on this board and you guys are sharing the same wrong orientation about the phrase "use the money you can afford to lose" or "use spare money". What these two phrase means is very simple, don't use the money you can make you feel bad or decision of been use for gambling, as a gambler every player has a spending limit and broke limit, we have money that we can let go of without feeling anything but it is subjective, I can spare $10 to gamble but your capacity may be bigger than my own and may spare upto $50 just to gamble.

I think when we save money, they are meant for important stuff right except may be for miscellenous stuff, sing your saved money to gamble kills switched the fun of gambling, no way a gambler will say that he is having a fun with money that is so important, there is going to be a discomfort, you will get anxiety throught the event and if the game doesn't goes out as plan, you will hate gambling for the rest of your life.
1087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 18, 2023, 07:18:55 PM
Taking the armband away from him was a tough one. Inevitably, there will be sympathy for Maguire in losing the captaincy too. But Ten Hag deserves credit for this tightrope walk. Looking at it, it’s evident that Maguire Manchester United career has not benefited him or the club and I'm sympathetic towards his situation...I hope he leaves to a mid table club where he can get consistent game time so he can find happiness again.
I read a news report where it was rumored that Chelsea will table a bid for Maguire well if it real I think that will be a better alternative for him (Maguire) to leave instead of sitting on the bench at Man Utd after stripping him the captainship band and this could affect his international career having been one of the favorite player of Southgate Moreso the duo of Varane and Martinez had a solid partnership at the central defence of Man Utd last season consequently subjected Maguire to the bench hopefully they will retain their position this season, Evans a former club defender had also been signed by Erik ten Hag on a short term loan deal thus will definitely be another competitor to Maguire thus he will have a limited playing time.

Let's say the fact, those Maguire deserved the captainship after all his poor performance for a two-season, concluding season was fair to say but it wasn't worth it bringing Maguire to Manchester United, he was a great defender at Leicester City, and Manchester United picked interest in him and after many persuasions from Brendan Rodgers, he was sold and deal was seal and till date, Manchester United has been his biggest deal, he should have done better with the improvement since 2019 to now, by the way, Erik get to choose who he likes without any sentiments.

If Chelsea sold all the good players to the Saudis and later settle for Maguire, I will never take Pochettino for a serious manager again, there are more defenders out there better than that guy looking for a place to showcase their ability, I think Chelsea need a revival and they have suffered enough humiliation from many people especially now that they are trying to give top 4 another shot to get back to the Champions League.
1088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Easy or hard to quit? on: July 17, 2023, 08:39:56 PM
Can you quit gambling if you make a life changing money and never go back to gambling?

I asked this because those who made some money through gambling near me always go back to gamble and they end up losing everything they once made through gambling.

Is it fine to say that people should not go back into gambling once they made high amount of money? Because the chance of losing that money again is very high, even if they don't use all the money to gamble at once, gambling can take it all back in time.

Have you ever won a high amount of money from gambling and managed to not lose them all back to gambling? And to date, you are still gambling?

I have seen a similar question before but it was about crypto and not gambling and in all of the responses that were commented on that thread, a guy replied that if you made such everlasting money to quit, why not make the money and continue instead of quilting but don't put back the money where you got it, rather it should be used for another business and that is what I have seen Punters do when they make millions from gambling. Anytime they make money from gambling, they divert it to another business and still maintain their gambling and they don't miss the two money together, each of them are independent of each other and trust me, must of them now have more than 2-3 businness they have and still gambling with improve skills.
1089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 17, 2023, 08:28:00 PM
Not intending to judge or anything, but isn't it a risk when someone goes against the norms in society to get that thing? like these LGBTQ+ people. They want to melt into society when they understand that most people today do not accept their presence. I'm not someone who is against LGBTQ+,but when they get treatment like that from society, they should understand that most people today don't accept their existence. And rather than protesting, maybe it would be better if they could move to a place that accepts them or maybe they could build their own LGBTQ+ friendly casino platform or circle.

I had an argument with a follower on Twitter about this LGBTQ thing and he or should I say intended she was saying that society must learn to accept their standard otherwise the people that regard themselves as the norm are not different from racists but I didn't agree with that crap of bull$h!t, racism doesn't is different because people only hate you because of your color which is a thing of delusional people but an LGBTQ want the society to see him as what he likes and want that to be forced on the ordinary people, that wouldn't work especially the adoption of the innocent child, they should learn to live in their dark selves rather than involving minor that is default by brain configuration, they are a potential threat to children because they are innocent and know nothing.

They should protest all they want but they will only do that in the place where they entertained their jokes, my country frowns at their activity and I believe from the reactions of many, other people from other parts of the world see that an illusion and loss of mind, only US and other countries they sponsor make friends with these guys, gambling companies will not jeopardize their business as well except for the ones that will like to create a separate platform them to milk their money just as how Netflix is stylishly promoting it on Movies.  Undecided Embarrassed

It seems that Joao Felix's return to Atletico Madrid did not make him Happy. It seems that he still can't get in touch with Diego Simeone. With these bad rumors, Joao Felix has been linked with many clubs wanting him. I think Joao Felix is a good player, at Chelsea he was not at his maximum because of the coach. There is news Barcelona and Man United are interested in Atletico's most expensive player. Of course they can take advantage of this bad moment to get Joao Felix.

When you put yourself in Joaoh Felix's shoes, you will not be a happy player as well because no credible club was interested in having him in their team after his failed transfer to Chelsea, because prior to his move from Atletico Madrid to Chelsea, so many fans had high expectations from him and things went south, and that coming back to the club has not bee yield for him but if indeed as you said that Barcelona is having interested in him, it will be a stepping stone for him and easy path to regurgitate his career but Manchester United is the least place Erik will tolerate, they already had good attackers and I don't think there is an available fund to buy him.
1091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: July 17, 2023, 07:10:35 PM
Pep Guardiola became a coach who was very influential for the player's interest in joining them. I think seeing the pattern of Pep Guardiola tactics in this transfer window doesn't mean that they are more silent in the sense that they move more smoothly in their approach to signing players. Yes, the players that will be released by Manchester City are the key players that brought Manchester City to a treble winner last season.
if you check pep has had a very good record for quite some time now and the only problem I have with Pep is that he gets worried too much despite being a great coach but I understand that feeling, being a coach is not as easy as it looks the pressure is always high during every ongoing matches, during this transfer window you will notice that pep is not doing too much, he always know what step to take at a particular time, his strategy always works for him, and Manchester city letting players go does not really affect their performance I always envy them, of the sincere truth Manchester city is good.

He is a human being and I think that is how he demonstrates his failure when things are not going as he wants, did you notice how he does jump up over excitement when his boys do the scoring, that is the kind of person he is and he mode of satisfaction in every game. In addition, what might have contributed to all that could be that his mind was already there to take the Champions League, they were here last season only for Miracle to happen and got eliminated by Real Madrid and that is one of the worst elimination that ever occurs to them because they lead in the first leg and fumble in the second leg.

I notice that Pep doesn't care about what people have said about him claiming he was able to win the Champions League in the past because he had Messi on his side but he was able to prove the debate the other way about his ability and what he can do without natural born players, he was able to achieve treble with dedicated and hardworking players in 8 years of his life in Manchester City.

Totenham has quality players. I mean they spent to buy players unlike what you said. Just check the front line of Totenham squad. They have;
1. Harry Kane,
2. Son,
3. Richardson.
These are quality players that can get any amount of goals to give a team title win. But I don't know what to say about Totenham. Ot could be that the management is the problem.
They are quality players but they had a terrible back to back season at spurs bar Harry Kane. Richardlison went all season without a goal to his name at Tottenham Hotspur; i do not see how the team wants to win the league title with such terrible return. Even Son struggled to impress last season which led to Spurs dropping out of the champions league spots in the League.

Is it a coaching problem? i don't believe so, Players form dip and theres nothing unusual in that aspect; The new spurs coach will hope the lads bounce back after a bad season.

Richardson actually had a goal last season for Tottenham Hotspur, though it is only one out of his 27 appearances for the season as a whole, and looking at it him as one of the dependent attackers of the club he ought to have done better than that but who knows, it might be the way of Antonio, because when you observed the goals that were scored last season for the team, it was Kane who did the scoring while other players do the rest of the assist and even though the club couldn't make it to the top four, it is fair to say they did very well.

There are high expectations from Postecoglou, if his style of making goals for the team changes, it will make a lot of impact to other players as many of them that are very good were all left in the dark with little to nothing to score but when a manager left a single guy to have about 80% of the goals is not impressive, Manchester City might have used Haaland in similar but other players had their share of goals as well.
1093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 16, 2023, 11:25:46 PM
I heard of a story about two gamblers that got into a serious fight on the grounds that a bet they merged an amount of money equally to place  using the online account of one person among their two. Luckily for them the bet won. But something happened, when it got to the sharing formula of the total amount won the owner of the account  insisted on taking a lion's share since it was his account that was used in placing the bet. The latter refusing to accept it that way they got into a serious fight. How pathetic!

What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? And would you agree at anytime to double cash with your fellow gambler to place a bet using his account, on the notion of increasing the potential win.

This is not the case of a fellow gamblers fighting each other, this is just another random players who won a bet and are trying to outsmart each other because of their greed. If indeed they are friends as u claim OP, I don't think there should be a fight in the first place as they both agreed to put money together, by that they both know that they will be splitting the money if the outcome favour which of course did or they will take the loss but they are fighting each other, they forgot that money will finish one day and friendship is an everlasting thing.

There is a lesson to be learn from this, in everything you do in this life, make sure it is documented as an evidence, if the guy had transfer the money to the friend as an evidence, he will get his money back if he decided to push it with the law, because it's clearly a cheating and fraud to deny an agreement you both made in the beginning.
1094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: July 16, 2023, 10:58:40 PM
These comparisons across different leagues are not trivial sometimes because so many factors come into play. You could also mention Atletico Madrid as a strong team even when they didn't perform as good as they did in the seasons before. But when you take Sevilla and see how they eliminated Manchester United from the Europa League, it becomes obvious that a comparison isn't easy. Should we consider the position in the table? Then it is Manchester United who were much better, but when we see how Sevilla won against them in the home game, the whole comparison should be worked out differently. I agree that the Premier League is better overall, but in matchups between teams from both leagues some of the results could be much closer than a general comparison would suggest.
We cannot compare the two leagues in just a few factors but at least in big competitions like champions league or european league.
With this competition we can determine which club from the league is the strongest.
After all, for me in every league there are top clubs or the best clubs like the Premier League has Manchester city and LaLiga has Barcelona.
So we don't need to compare between the main league and LaLiga because these two leagues have the same strength.

Barcelona had a great season in Laliga last summer and they didn't make it to the Champions League, they were eliminated right there in the group stage, were promoted to Europa League, and were removed from there again but were all doing pretty well, Real Madrid that was at some point in Laliga even tried and reach the Semi-final before Manchester City eliminated them tried more than Barcelona, this is to tell you that because you are having a good domestic league is not a guarantee that you will do well in other leagues but sometimes, some clubs do well in both.

However, seeing how many clubs are making adjustments in their defensive positions with players, this season is going to be tight for the top four in Laliga because the teams that are usually staying in that spot are busy signing the good players while the less financial clubs are the ones selling the good ones they have, I wonder how they plan to strong their defensive system this season, it will be more fun if I wake up tomorrow and see that Mbabe is official Real Madrid guy. 1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This is not Practical on: July 16, 2023, 10:44:39 PM
I have heard the advice that you should only use money you can afford to lose for gambling. I say that this is more theoretical than practical. Literally no one has money that they can afford to lose. I feel that money for gambling is a matter of opportunity cost. You either use the money for gambling or use it to meet a need. If using money one can afford to lose were practical there will be no need for articles on having a gambling budget or bank roll management. Hey gamblers my question is to you now is, the money you currently plan to use for gambling is it money that you can afford to lose?

You misquote and misunderstood the concept of using the money you can afford to lose, the notion of that is to use the money you can forget easily and not the one that will affect you financially, psychologically, and emotionally. Just imagine that you have a school fee to pay a week before the closure and because you are financially down, you decide to use it to bet over 1.5 on any football match, and then, in the course of the match, they played under 1.5, that ticket is good as gone and your money is gone as well. For someone who is in need of money and there is a deadline for school fees, you will be worried and maybe running up and down looking for a possible solution to pay back the school fee, I hope this analogy and example will help you out.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: July 16, 2023, 10:09:10 PM
Even though the new season hasn't started yet, I believe Manchester City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United have a big chance to be the favorites for the title. The main favorites are Manchester City, followed by Arsenal, but I doubt the other two teams I mentioned as well.

If Manchester City are really capable of winning the Premier League title next season, then it will be their 4th title in a row, too good to be true. But I also believe that some Premier League teams will try to stop Manchester City's dominance, even if it's difficult.

I think the 3 clubs you mention are going to be hot this coming season, I'm particulalry can't wait to see what effect of Declan Rice on Arsenal, it was one of the bigest player to ever signed in English League, it will be a flop if he doesn't play to meet their expectation and the same expectations people will be expecting from Manchester United after De Gea move and Onana replacement, I want to see Erik Teng decision on Onana becomes true and worth the heat and critisms.

I hope you know that in the midst of this transfer season after Manchester City won the treble, they are yet to signed any new player into the club, only the loan players have returned to the club and I don't think they will have more opportunity to play because of discomforty and disunity of the existing players but wouldn't Guardiola do something to solidify Manchester City squad, I hope they are not making the mistake Real Madrid did last year after they won the Champions League and refuse to signed in new players, season changes you know.
1097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling effects on LGBTQ+ People on: July 16, 2023, 09:52:05 PM
Recently research was held by Dr Reece Bush-Evans who told that online gambling could Hide the sexuality of the LGBTQ+ people and most of these people prefer online gambling as compared to physical gambling for obvious reasons.

The more important concern for the LGBTQ+ people is that they are being treated differently in a casino which may come under harassment. Also, the study says that people at the casino, the staff plus the public have shown discriminatory behavior towards these people.

New Research Explores Effect of Gambling on LGBTQ+ People

The world will be a happy place if we stop creating problems to ourselves because I'm not sure perhaps it is the scientific exploration and research that has made some people to think out of the box, we basically have a male and a female by gender but some people feel we need more than that and that is where the genesis of this problems emanated from, why will a man would one day wake up and choose to become a woman, the world is becoming a crazy place, I thought humanity over religion is what we need, seems we need the religion to bring sanity to the world again.

I think there is law that allow business to reject LGBTQ from their circle, they shouldn't take it personal, my business my rule, they can call it whatever they choose to, but gambling regulations remain a uniform rule and there is no an exemptional rule for them, I don't think there is a policy for them or a rule that specify their use of campaign, they should choose to abide by the rules or live gambling until there is a rule of law that make give gambling a new policy for people to comply.

Hello. How are you all?  I am new to this forum.  I came to know about bitcoin forum from a friend of mine.  But I don't know much about forums.  What should I do in this situation?  I know about Bounty but I am not interested in Bounty.  How do I start working?  What should I do? I want your help to start my journey-
Thanks-

If you come to the forum solely because of Bounty, you wouldn't go far, in short you will end up spamming your post history with proof of Authentication, Twitter and Facebook links and at the end of the day, you will not learn a single thing in the Forum, all you will be doing is visiting Bounty board, you wouldn't learn anything tangible about Bitcoin not talk more of the forum it's self. It's a good thing that you asked a question so you don't end up like your friend who invited you to the forum.

My advice is this, spend more time in the Forum to understand how the forum works, learn more about Bitcoin and expand your knowledge outside the forum, when you utilize these resources, you will understand Bitcoin better and how to relate will not be a problem to you and how to respond here. Don't hard yourself on it, just be natural and if indeed you are willing to learn, you will grasp basics in short time.

I joined crypto early last year with little knowledge. After I had loose some money to altcoin, I decided to go for some research and I observe it best to make 80% of ones crypto savings to be Bitcoin.

Why I against altcoin and prefer Bitcoin:
Lower popularity and smaller market cap: Altcoins have a smaller investment market compared to Bitcoin. Bitcoin has generally hovered around 40% of the global cryptocurrency market since May of 2021.

I don't quite find altcoins fascinating but I don't agree with some of your explanation. An altcoin may have less popularity which is right because it's new but ignoring them because of low market cap is not valid reason why they should be neglected, they are even more easier to make x10 than to make that in Bitcoin if you know understand how altcoins are shill and exit strategy when you had enough profits bu I don't just like them from my own personal reasons, they are not real to me.

A good practice I will recommend for all expecially beginners is that they should invest mostly in Bitcoin as this is highly save for the future.

Altcoins is full of deceit and lies, the team are very manipulative and if you are not careful, you will get caught up in there games, it's better to avoid them without even thinking twice, they may look profitable until you had loss from the market.
