1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: December 08, 2023, 11:20:14 AM
Litecoin has always been one of my favorite crypto due to its cheap fee and fast transaction time. The last time it pumped and reached an ATH was when we saw the best bull in the crypto market, which was in 2021. It reached $359 in November and I foresee it will again in the coming months. At the moment it is trading at $75 which is way below its ATH, it is a good time to buy it and keep on holding until it breaks its own ATH.
1082  Local / India / Re: Oh digital rupee is already live!? on: December 07, 2023, 02:00:37 PM
There is way to get money credited to a digital ruppe wallet. You need to click on collect and write down the amount. It is similar to what we do to generate an invoice using Electrum wallet. I think libert19 might be using the same feature to make upload digital money.

I did try using Paytm interface and it came up with a werid excuse which I cannot post as it displays my account and everything. I don't i understand why it doesn't work for PayTM as they are one of the biggest interface after Phone pay. I am not sure about Google pay as I don't they are good with payment.

1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY PEOPLE ARE NOT TAKING THEIR PRIVACY SERIOUSLY. on: December 07, 2023, 01:17:17 PM
This is going no where as they as miners have their choice. You cannot project them as culprits as they are the ones who are not mining Ordinals. If they are doing something that we don't agree doesn't mean that we should put a negative mouth with what they are trying to achieve.

After two mixers taken down it is clear that mixers are unable to filter out bad money when they are processing transactions. North Korea is not a country it is a land owned by a dictator which is slowly now facing issues with its population. To fund itself they are stealing money globally and using mixers to make it untraceable.

As per my understanding this is how you make use of privacy to the benefit of a dictator. It is an alarming issue and I don't think a topic should have been created to make privacy a top notch priority.
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wojak - Meme Coin on: December 07, 2023, 11:39:57 AM
The last time this meme was trending was in May this year when it also reached its all time high. After that it is going in red and has not been in green for some time now, the present market conditions are not helping it. The reason is that Bitcoin's dominance is very high and unless that comes down I do not think it will help Wojak. You would need to wait for the altcoins season to start as not all altcoins are performing well as of now. Continue holding till you think your target has been achieved and then exit out. Investing in meme coins is very risky as these are nothing more than pump and dump projects.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coin or token with high potential on: December 07, 2023, 11:16:08 AM
I recently came across an Instagram post by coingecko, the title of the post was Top 10 Crypto from January 2023 till December 6th, 2023. Three coins caught my attention, all three are below $1 and have the potential to explode when the bull runs come after. These three coins are performing well in the present market condition. XRP gave a return of 83%, Tron gave a return of 90% and Dodge gave a return of 23%, the biggest surprise for me was Tron. All three are trusted cryptocurrencies that have been dominating the market cap for quite some time now.
1086  Local / Press & News from India / Re: IEEE to issue blockchain skill certificates on Avalanche in India on: December 07, 2023, 10:25:25 AM
The reason why they might be using Avalanche blockchain is because it is very fast and its the ability to launch both Private and Public Blockchain. In this case, they would be creating a Private Blockchain for the creation of tamper-proof certificates. After reading the complete synopsis I was able to gather their main objective is the generation of certificates. Another good thing about Avalanche is the concept of subnetting, which basically means the creation of mini blockchains within the Avalanche blockchain and allowing each blockchain to govern by itself. In all, you have robust security, a private blockchain that is governed by its own rules.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum price before Christmas on: December 07, 2023, 10:09:15 AM
Hello,
If someone has made a loss in buying and selling Ethereum, what is your suggestion? Should he\she hold Ethereum?
Is it possible for the price to reach $2300 before Christmas?

Thanks.

Unless you have sold all of your Ethereum you are still in the game to recover your loss and make a profit. Keep on holding and if the market keeps on staying in the green zone you would make enough profit. It is not that easy to predict the price of any cryptocurrency as there is always the factor of uncertainty in the crypto universe which can stop Ethereum from reaching the price point you are seeking. But looking at the present situation where the price of Ethereum is already above $2200 it won't be hard for it to reach $2300 before the 25th of this month.
1088  Other / Meta / Re: Icopress ' Merit Source Application 🚩 on: December 06, 2023, 01:20:46 PM
Hasn't he recently become a DT1 user with all those who are active on their local boards? I do not think he should be given a Merit source application as he tends to misuse it. Being said that the way he has been arguing with another BM is not good. If given the authority of merit source he will use it for his own benefit. I think the BM should be removed from becoming a DT1 as this would make them more loyal towards a project and disloyal towards the forum.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is the sleeping giant on: December 06, 2023, 01:11:17 PM
There was a time when Litecoin was considered a potential altcoin that could make holders financially rich. For now, I do not think it can create anything as of now the developers are not doing active. in 2021 Litecoin achieved an all-time high of $200+ and today after going through its halving it is still 90 percent below its ATH as nothing is happening as development with it. According to me, it was once a good project for anyone looking for cheap transaction fees as of my understanding there are several cryptocurrencies that provide either zero transaction fees or bear minimum transaction fees. Then why would someone hold it or buy it as nothing is going to improve the present situation of Litecoin.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's happening with Bitcoin transaction fees? on: December 06, 2023, 12:58:50 PM
I just now check the mempool and found the fees have touched a new high again. As of now you would need to pay $16 as a fee for a Bitcoin transaction. Considering what was promoted and promised these fee are higher than a government based international transactions fee.

An amount of $16 as fee is way beyond the reach of anyone who is new to this culture of decentralisation. Considering what is happening now I feel decentralisation has a big loophole.

What do you guys think?
1091  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 will not pay anyone for the last week /Sinbad campaign/ on: December 06, 2023, 12:29:26 PM
I don't think raising pay rates right after theymos announced mixers will be banned is a smart thing, and I don't think it increasing advertising efforts is correct use of the month given:
To avoid disruption, there will be a grace period: Nothing will change until Jan 1, 2024.

I don't see what difference it makes. Mixer campaigns have decided to continue during the grace period, and some have decided to raise rates (probably because they have just started advertising and want to take advantage of the remaining month), while others have lowered them. It's not breaking the rules anyway and I don't think it makes much difference. What will make the difference will be the ban from 1 January.

I agree with LoyceV, raising the rate will not make any difference as the objective is to advertise within the forum till the 31st of December. Fighting over the rates and trying to make their respective Signature Campaign better than the other is an insane approach. Both of them knew that these mixer campaigns would eventually end by the deadline. I went through the discussion on the campaign thread and I feel both of them should calm down and move on.

I do not think a ban on Bitcoin mixer would make any difference to the forum. What I felt after reading a lot of discussion that the forum has led down the community and those part of mixer campaign are not at all happy with the decision.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin Devolpers planning to kill Ordinals and Inscription on: December 06, 2023, 12:12:54 PM
This is not new. Bitcoin developers know how to solve Ordinals and Inscriptions and we have discussed this before when BRC20 surfaced.

Miners are making money from transaction and to solve this might be proposed. If proposed in Bitcoin Improvement Proposal, did you think that miners will agree? Remember that miners have their own nodes. I do not think any mining oil will agree to this when they are making much from transaction.

I will also say that bitcoin developers can look for alternatives means to solve the issu of transaction fee because Ordinals makes the use of bitcoin blockchain to widen. Some people that do not like the high fee are the ones that are nke complaining.

I do not think that the miners would agree to this proposal as they have seen a good increase in their revenue.

Quote

Why would anyone try to reduce their earnings when they know they are making good money before halving? I agree that Ordinals and Inscription are spamming the network but if miners are happy nothing can be done about them. I feel it is the time when there should be another fork of the Bitcoin blockchain.

1093  Local / India / Re: Which of the following P2P exchange you trust? on: December 06, 2023, 11:52:32 AM
I have used once or twice both Agoradesk and Local Monero for converting my Bitcoin to usdt. I have not used any of the above listed exchanges for INR transactions, so I could not comment on INR trust. I did not face any issues using these two exchanges for USDT conversion as the transaction went smoothly without any issues. In general, P2P exchanges have a good reputation for buying and selling cryptocurrencies, converting to fiat currencies can be tricky.

Just a correction, these all are p2p exchanges but some of them require KYC like p2p platforms like Paxful and Noones have mandatory KYC.

Paxful and Noones are both the same exchanges if I am not wrong as Noones was started when Paxful was supposedly getting closed. I was not aware that they require KYC as I was under the impression that the do not ask for KYC till a certain amount. For example, before Kucoin implemented strict KYC they would allow up to 2 BTC worth of transactions without KYC. I thought the same for those two exchanges, they might have changed their policy I guess.
1094  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: December 03, 2023, 05:36:20 PM
I am surprised to see how much this forum members and those associated with the upcoming banned campaign are still bumping this topic. If the owner of the forum said no then I think it would be not right to question him. Considering the number of individuals not happy, I am not sure what they want. Mixer would not thrive anymore here, even though this forum is where they can advertise and get the highest number of users. While it is not happening in the next 27 days why argue with the authority of the owner of this forum?
1095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 03, 2023, 05:21:50 PM
India vs Australia 5th T20I India did not score very well. They managed to score only 160 runs for the loss of eight wickets. 160 runs is not a very big score. I think India will lose this match. If Australia can perform well then Australia will definitely win this match. However, there is no Glenn Maxwell in this match. But apart from Glenn Maxwell, there are many good batsmen in Australia team. Australia has more chances to win this match.
Australia need 10 runs from 5 balls to win the 5th T20 match against India. Wade is playing at 22 runs not out in just 13 balls and Ellis is playing 3 runs in 5 balls. I think Australia is now favourite to win this match beacuse Australian captain Matthew wade is playing on carees and they have good chances to win this match and series by 3-2. India batting well scored 160 runs in loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. A target of 161 runs is early chase able for the team like Australia but india fight well in this match.

They as in the Australian team lost to an Indian side that has only two actual players. It is a good sign for SKY as a captain that his team won this series and was quite efficient while getting wins. That would surely add to his resume as a captain for the first time that he won a series. But, what about his batting for which he is known in the end such a win will never help him in the long term.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cristiano Ronaldo get 1 billion dollars lawsuit for his NFT failure on: December 03, 2023, 04:59:17 PM
it's quite unfair for Ronaldo though since he is just advertising, it's out of his concern what binance is doing since what is only aware of is the business is huge and is paying him.  while other advertisers are not fighting a case. but he is an easy target for money grab after all he is rich.

Tom Brady for example had promoted FTX which is proven to have scammed investors. but authorities just let it slide. $1B is going to bankrupt Ronaldo.
Nothing is unfair in the world of finance and how to dominate it. Pay more to the lawmakers and they will never question any company.  What we are witnessing is just another step by the SEC and the US government to stop cryptocurrency exchanges from operating in the US. Many more such lawsuits will come before January and many more will be on those who promoted an exchange, that has already accepted that they are guilty. This a classic case of how to shut down anything or anyone who opposes the financial dominance of financial institutions. You should look at the way our forum has become and then you should understand on what level these federal guys are now operating.
1097  Other / Beginners & Help / What is the difference between a BTC Mixer and No KYC casino on: December 03, 2023, 04:39:44 PM
After the 1st of January, all Bitcoin Mixers would be banned from the forum, that is what I understand after reading theymos topic. My question is for everyone! Consider a casino platform that does not want its users to go through KYC. They have a smart contract that directly forms a bridge to wallets on either the Ethereum blockchain or the Binance chain. They use the same technique as a Bitcoin mixer wherein they convert deposited Bitcoin to what we know as Wrapped Bitcoin on either of these two or other blockchains, isn't that a mixer when you withdraw the deposit amount to your chosen wallet?

I understand that it is not possible to deposit Bitcoin on a smart contract-based non-kyc casino. What I understand is that it is easy to convert Bitcoin into other altcoin-based Bitcoin and then what will happen? Will theymos again ban them? I have other options to hide my Bitcoin identity such as I can convert my Bitcoin to XMR and then it won't be easy to trace it.

What do you think will be the next option for Bitcoin mixers, is it no KYC casino or Monero?
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Manifesto on airdrops trivialization on: December 03, 2023, 08:14:26 AM
I have never participated in airdrops but after reading so much about them here, I have come to the conclusion they are a waste of time. The amount of money and effort that anyone needs to spend to get a few tokens is not worth it. Unless the value of the airdrop which is bigger than the effort and money one needs. Those airdrops that do come with social media activity are only given to those who can get more users so it is for me, a lottery as there is zero transparency. The last one which is given free of cost are the ones that rarely make it to the exchange.
1099  Local / India / Re: India cricket Discussion and predictions [self-mod] on: December 03, 2023, 07:55:11 AM
The final match of the bilateral series will be played today in the evening. India has already won the series and imagine if they win today too, which I do not think they would. I feel today there would be a few changes made to the team on the leadership level. I feel Rituraj Gaikwad might get an opportunity to captain the side and SKY would be on the bench. The team management has already tried experimenting with the bowling and batting lineup. Last time they included Shreyas Iyer and he was not able to capitalize on the opportunity given to him.
1100  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Re: Let's Discuss About Movies and TV Shows! on: December 03, 2023, 07:50:43 AM
1. The Railway Men (8.6)

It's an absolute gem as an Indian series on Netflix, all others are based on woke ideology I felt. Babil's true acting came out in this series and not to forget his character played a small but convincing role. KK Menon again proved that he is better in such roles where he has to play a serious and responsible guy. If you remember there was a series on Hotstar known as Special OPs his role was similar. The character was responsible for all kinds of covert operations with dark comedy in every part.
