1081  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best technical tools on: October 13, 2017, 03:04:28 PM
and lastly
coinmarketcap.com to see total cap for every exchanger.

That overview here https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/all/ , tells you which sites could be traded. But mostly noteworthy for altcoins distribution across sites. However, arbitrage seems dead in comparison to the past, where Cryptsy and Mintpal had been existing. That's Altcointalk.

"The Bitcoin Volatility Index" at https://www.buybitcoinworldwide.com/volatility-index/ seems to be more on toppic.

1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nvidia Equihash and Vega Cryptonight questions on: October 13, 2017, 02:22:33 PM
Looking for talk (any at all) about Equihash algo used for mining, which is used by the upcoming Bitcoin "Gold" fork.
That should exist as a toppic somewhere inside the Altcoin mining section?
If nobody cares a damn, maybe Bitcoin "Gold" is not even legit.
Otherwise, it would be your third choice between ZEC & XMR.

altcoin die or no??

Yes  Roll Eyes

So it's time to buy

Exactly. Getting the dips.
1084  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: is it still worth mining? on: October 13, 2017, 02:06:44 PM
Hi guys, I heard of lot of 3rd world countries are mining coins....

I'm from the US and IDK if its worth it or not? due to electricity bills and stuff.

The RollingStone magazine once dubbed "Six Ways America Is Like a Third-World Country" so yes, there are a lot of and Us in between them.
No, national economy shouldn't matter on the long run. Depends upon how long you can Hodl. If you mine you should reuse the heat in your home somehow, like a radiator. And keep the BTC.
Than, costs dont really matter.
1085  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: October 13, 2017, 11:33:23 AM
There is absolutely no way in which somebody can take control over a coin and control it and the users.
The moment they do this everyone is able to create it's own fork and the most used will become the next bitcoin.
Whooops! You just opened a can of worms there, since we experience that effect right now.
Bitfines offering chain split tokens, and stuff. Bitcoin "Gold" fork this month. A fork a month basically, exceeding Ethereum even.

Vitalik got that advantage above Satoshi of still beeing alive. I know BTC tanks whenever a Satoshi pops up in the news, but on the long run we need him back again.
1086  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: October 12, 2017, 11:43:20 PM
It will be hard to go completely digital as long as there are people without computers or smartphones. One way to do it is to have your money linked to an identification card. Either way, it will take a while for us to go completely paperless. We are going in that direction though with credit and debit cards, PayPal, electronic payments from banks, etc. But it will be hard to completely transition to digital. It probably won't happen in our generation but it could happen in 50 years or so.
Earlier. Looking at china for example. But they got the wrong reasonings, and recently banned btc for that reason.

The real dream would be a society not only "Cashless" but without money. And paperless as in a sense without surveilance of expenditures and activities. Honestly we are on an errand regarding money in the best way possible. At least trying to free money from banking. But not people from money itself.
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: October 12, 2017, 11:18:04 PM
i would suggest waves, confideal and monero
Monero resting on 38% fibonacci level, beeing a coin without wider use besides botmining you can exspect a loss of -20% when it saggs down below the 23% level.
A DNM adoption could disturb the TA patterns, but that's unlikely in the aftermath of Alphabay.
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to go bullish after Metropolis hard fork? on: October 12, 2017, 10:23:08 AM
IF the hard fork is successful the the ATH could be achieved.

ETH has been pretty quiet and down a lot from its previous ATH and is due for a pump right now I think. Price shouldn't dip below 0.06 BTC, if it does due to panic sellers then it is probably a good short term decision to pick up some coin.

The price is around 300$ , the ATH was around 400$. 25% down from ATH is not a lot.  The longterm chart shows a double top, with a possible triple top in the making.

Also, next generation coins are coming out soon, so maybe ETH wont beat its own ATH for a long time(if at all). But thats just a rational view of the situation. We all know that irrationality plays a big part in cryptomarkets.  Roll Eyes

25% beeing nothing, the lowest fibonacci level would be entry point, I agree. The fork bears high risk of technical failure.
As mentioned above by BlockchainReserve the regulatory part isn't over but just beginning. Some ICOs are legal (impossibility of everything beeing a scamm) and will provide huge rewards.
1089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will BTG be similar to BCH in terms of price speculation? on: October 12, 2017, 10:14:52 AM

I personally think they'll be pretty much the same. What are your thoughts?

None of the exchanges have said they'll list bitcoingold.

Bitcoingold seems to have come out of nowhere, possibly hoping to confuse people and make them think they have something to do with the 2x fork.

But they are separate, nothing to do with 2x, it looks like they will have a premine, and it looks like most exchanges are ignoring them and concentrating on the segwit2x fork that will come later in November.

Binance listing them would not surprise me, and Bitfinex neither. But adding places where some airdrop can get dumped doesn't add value to that very airdrop.
Since they are 2nd ranging behind BCH in discussions and on timescale tells tales.

But lets get back onto BCH and compare the hashrate. Hashrate jumped between BTC and BCH several times on an order of magnitude ... moar hashes than everybody of us ever operated. This goldfork will not be able to archive that, because of other algos. Either some hobbyists mine gold on their GPUs, or nobody will do. ASISCS will not switch to it.

I know you all will place all your hopium on an exact replay of former market dynamics, ignoring the technical differences this time. That's psychology, eliminating uncertainity by believing something wrong.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious topic: how can we be sure Bitcoin will not be banned by most countries? on: October 12, 2017, 12:20:24 AM
"Most" always implies one missing, and BTC themselfes travel lightely accross country borders. Problem solved.

But lets take better examples seen on that "Some countries are opening doors to adopt cryptocurrencies in a larger scale" article from Deepdotweb 10/8 where they start with Estonia's e-Residency.
And they mentioned a real estate broker from Dubai, that Lady Michelle Mone as an adoption example. Selling higher value appartments for BTC. People of that class will assure that some countries always will take a welcoming approach on bitcoin.
We geeks are just early, but not the biggest influence.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: October 11, 2017, 05:44:01 PM
When is the new version release planned to recover the non-transitioned IOTA? Wasn't it planned for last week, was it?
Overdue. IRI releases are like every two weeks. Ask paulhandy (but dont know where to reach him)

When seeing your #Looking for a project to contribute @tyz I think they should hire some workforce to settle things. You would be a fit for application.
I would volunteer myself, if asked. Imagining a ledger clerk type of job, coming more close to beeing an attendant at birth.
1092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did hear that news about Russia way to block cryptocurrency exchange?? on: October 11, 2017, 05:25:52 PM
Which one? Read through thread without picking up any affected site's name, wtf
BTCe has been related, but not located inside Russia.

Others? GetBTC does BTC/RUB trades, they are meant? That Ukrainian site, Liqui maybe?
There is a smallest one located in europe that offers some payment channels wiring into russia, but they are british.
Honestly cannot find the threatened site, so these threads are without effect.
1093  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dragonchain ICO on: October 11, 2017, 05:16:05 PM
Something doesn't sound right.  A multi billion dollar company needs to have an ICO?
They are not the company, they are the original developers taking it further now, after Disney open sourced and seemingly closed the project. Has not been applied for use inside Disney, it seems.
However if the original devs get like a million dollar through their ICO I think this could turn into a legit coin.
1094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Please recommend me 1 best Altcoin to buy on: October 11, 2017, 03:35:00 PM
if I were to recommend just one altcoin, I would say Zcoin without hesitation.

It is the best anonymous technoology, one of the best team with cryptographers confirmed. very good investors too.

Inquire well and the more you know the project and the more you want to invest on it!
Please take care to details, you seem to mean https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/zcash/#charts which is the original which is backed by some investors from the more professional classical money, and got the academic cryptographers.
HatakeKakashi you are experimental in picking the ETC (ETH Classic) fork, but take Zcash in favor of Zcoin, too. rowenta01 you recognize?

I think most of the hatred and fire targets on the bitcoin forks for now, ZEC took a lot of hatred when they launched. But there's only one abhorred coin in crypto valley each month. Bitcoin Cash now, Bitcoin Gold tomorrow.

I am into ZEC, kinda my "1 best" but I never to just one. If you want "the best" you probably should take Bitcoin instead. As in "the best Altcoin" there is only Ethereum for choice.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Signals for trading on: October 10, 2017, 08:04:14 AM
If you are interested in getting a good signal for trading or if you want to share your knowledge with other people, also information about Pump of some coins.....write me in P.M or add @cryptosignals_free. Let's earn money together guys. Wink
A twitter hashtag? Cannot locate you, found @F_CryptoSignals and @coin_signals

For a more group collaboration type of information channel you should consider creating a whole thread. Where people can add links to their Tradingviews or post charts.

1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What ALTS are you currently buying while they're in red? on: October 10, 2017, 02:15:31 AM
i will wait for one more week...
25th (15 days remaining) that Bitcoin "Gold" fork should be relevant upon timing.

Honestly from what I picked up so far at https://squawker.org/technology/bitcoin-gold-hard-fork-simplified/ there isn't even some wallet software existing. Could turn into a Nothing Burger.
1097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What ALTS are you currently buying while they're in red? on: October 10, 2017, 01:51:57 AM
I am buying NEO, DNT, BNB (Binance coin), IOTA and ofc ETH (not an alt but with the upcoming update it's incredibly undervalued).
ETH formed a doubletop, and main application has been ICOs who got hit badly by regulations.

IOTA isn't on margin trade at Bitfinex, so dumpers need to dump their own supply (cannot lend) which hurts them much. Hodlers picking up cheap supply instead.

Binance seems to be tied to Binance too much, my opinion. A coin should be as decentralized as possible, and not beeing single purpose or source of origin. Have to confess I did not digged deeper into BNB

Would add XMR. They are not brand new or feature rich, but counting them in on a same level like ETH just charts TA looking way better.
1098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Time to buy bitcoin befor or after the Fork of October? on: October 09, 2017, 01:24:39 PM
btc going up until fork on the 25th since people want the bitcoin gold trashbag in case it does well like the bch trashbag. so buy btc now and use it for alts on the 23rd or 24th maybe?

tho i think maybe bitcoin and everything else will take a dive after 25th and until the 2x fork in late november

man i hate this stupid fork shit
+1
Features the potential to completely disrupt the whole crypto endeavor.

Clear visible bullish runs preceeding each airdrop, Alts getting dumped for BTC, the right moment to dive into quality Altcoins (top marketcaps) using paper cash seems the strategy. Keeping bitcoin out of the calculation even as a temporary means of transporting value (fees!)
1099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: October 09, 2017, 01:18:43 PM
If IOTA goes through with bank partnerships its going to get way bigger than it already is. Does anyone have any idea which banks they're in talks with?

Where did you read something regarding banks? For me it doesn't really make sense to focus on Banking, IOTA doesn't seem to use the tech banks need. I'm more thinking about Internet of things devices like smartphones (samsung is working on a IOTA phone), kitchen appliances (BOSH is working on IOTA devices), and so on.

Different chronological order.
Once there is a machine economy of course they need to take part, cannot ignore a new paradigm for overly long. For a bank money is a bussiness, not a geeks hobby. I think we are investing more bitcoins for our hobbys than any professional bank would advise to be sane.
Just now Zomg! Banks! is nonsense.
1100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex will list hard fork coin as an altcoin with ticher B2X on: October 09, 2017, 12:28:47 PM
Finex plans to list it is to give a objective measure to if the fork actually has any value.  The previous chain split token they launched was bitcoin unlimited and the trading volume on that pair was tiny.  The forks will continue while people can make money from them, just like alt coins.
The orderbooks of these chain split tokens will turn into the splitted coin trades, it's all overly complicated in the intention of keeping the margin trade up and running. Each fork threatens open positions to have been forcibly closed, resulting in a total loss for the traders.
Because preceeding the fork all lends will dry out, people keeping their coin for the airdrop.

It's a mess, and looks like we have something messy like that now every month. I allready favor coins that dont split each month.
