1081  Economy / Securities / Re: S.DICE - Want SatoshiDICE dividends? IPO currently in progress. on: August 26, 2012, 07:15:46 PM
Looks like the second batch of 5 million shares @ 0.0034 btc (Aug 25, Midnight GMT) has not sold out.
If I understand it correctly, you still have 4.9 mill share ask wall at 0.0034.

While the first 10 million shares are sold, your job is just to put up a sell wall at the current IPO price. Once no more shares are to be sold, will you then just issue dividends? Also, will the two stocks then trade freely, thus creating arbitrage opportunity? And will no more shares be issued at that point until more shares are sold by Erik himself?

I just want to make sure my vision of the way this stock works aligns with the way it actually works in reality. Thanks!
Yes I will pay the dividend for GSDPT it will be 95% of that of S.DICE.
This is true indeed, it will create arb opportunities. I will sell GSDPT shares if I have enough backing, if I decide to buy more from MPex and issue more shares on GLBSE, I will do such.

Ive had a withdraw waiting for a week and now I have to lose another 8% as some kind of punishment ?

Thanks....
-8% is not a punishment, it's a fact that ZIP.A and Rebate is basically worthless, the loss would be realized sometime anyways.
I have never guaranteed profit nor the original balance, you knew there were risks when you invested. A default of some of our investment has always been a risk.

This is DeaDTerra asking for a leap of faith, will you jump?

As per usual please post your thoughts and questions Smiley

Since I invested in GBF, the value of my investment has lost 8.05% not including the current week loss. How much extra loss are we talking about? If there is no reward for long term investors who did not jump off the bandwagon, why would one keep the investment in, take the extra loss you are talking about then take the profits instead of cashing out before you liquidate the remaining bad investments and jumping back in after you have done so?

Moreover, why send you extra money now, before the fund takes a new loss, rather than wait a few weeks and invest in a much saner fund?

It looks like you are asking your faithful investors to share the loss, and even to increase their portion of the next loss to come, without rewarding them appropriately.
The loses will be around 8% and they will be taken today, independent of if you have a withdraw waiting or not. This was inevitable as ZIP.A and Rebate has been locked down and are basically worthless until the issuers start paying back the debt.
I have already liquidated almost all of the investment and with the new system which will be implemented next weekend people have to make a choice of long term vs short term.
So there's no jumping into GBF and then out back again, those times are over. It reduced our profits and causes tons of extra work for me hence the change of the infrastructure.

You would send it once at the start of this week, and it would not take any of the loses for the liquidation of the rest of the bad assets.
Sorry if I was unclear, the statement was not planned it was more written from heart so I didn't have anyone looking through it except me.

That is not true, the loses will come before the new deposits. I am simply asking people to deposit if they wish for the new start with out clean portfolio.
Thanks for you feedback Smiley

1086  Economy / Securities / Re: [Investment fund] Gamma Bitcoin Fund [Infrastructure change inside!] on: August 26, 2012, 09:48:59 AM
Hi!
This is a mid week update.
As mentioned several weeks ago the portfolio has gone through a purging or cleansing if you will, where I have removed and sold off the assets I think were bad or not performing up to our standards. We are almost there, there are two more assets which I think still needs to be removed which are ZIP.A and Rebate. After these have been removed I think our portfolio looks very strong and could perform very well. There are several reasons why this took a lot longer then I thought, the people that have followed the fund will know the bumps in the road so to speak to get to this point. But we are here and I am asking for a leap of faith, There are now about 1000 BTC in the withdraw queue, this withdraw queue is one of the things which has slowed down and reduced our performance throughout this trip towards a good portfolio.

The withdraw problems was not something I saw coming but I have realized is that the current system is flawed and sub optimal for us when we move forward. The chance of bank runs and panic, is to strong. The problem is not in it self that people want to withdraw but that with to many large withdraws that dry out our withdraw "hot wallet", we have to start liquidating assets. Assets as we all know are less then optimal in the sense of liquidity, at least loans, bonds and shares. This leads to that I have to prioritize withdraws over, manual trading, bulk orders, bot trading (margin/arbitrage) and deposit services, as they are more liquid-able then the other assets. As these are the investments that goes well during a bullish bitcoin rally, this has added to the bad performance,

So, what's the plan?
The plan is to cleanse the portfolio from the last bad investments (ZIP.A, Rebate etc), There are two ways to do this, reduce the price slowly and wait for some kind of last dividend or put the bonds value at 0 and take all the loses at once. I would prefer to just take all the loses at once and then move forward with our new and strong portfolio. But to do this I am going to need your help, This is hopefully going to be the LAST negative performance in a long time, our portfolio now consists of only good assets and a great mix of them as well. But what I need from you guys if to trust me this last time, I can turn this around, I can produce profit, I am confident in our portfolio and my ability. I need your help though, by trusting me and not panicking, I can deal with the withdraws at hand and get back to my usual work. Get back to all the things I have had to cut to produce more liquid BTC faster. For those of you that have the courage and the trust for me, I would like to ask for deposits, help me get more liquid btc into the system and we can get back on the road to profit faster.
I know I am asking for a lot, I am asking for a huge favor, to trust someone you don't know even though there has been a history of bad performance, but look beyond that look back at what GBF has done before, what we have done in our glory days. We can do that again but I need your help!

What makes you so confident this will not happen again?
Well with the new system, we will limit the amount of withdraws and we will be able to plan the liquidation a head of time which will help us keep as much of our capital in investments until we need to liquidate them to withdraws. This enabled us to invest more capital for a longer period of time, generally this also means more profit ^^. Because we are not responsible to keep a huge withdraw "hot wallet", I can spend out capital in investment instead of having to save them for new withdraws. I think the new system is far more superior than the old one and that it will lead to that the same problem will not happen again.

This is DeaDTerra asking for a leap of faith, will you jump?

Hey guys!
I just wanted to say that there was a impostor of me today/yesterday on IRC trying to scam people of their money. He stole my name DeaDterra on IRC and went around trying to sell shares and such.
This was not me, I am now registering on a name server but for future reference if I am not authenticated with OTC it's not me.
Just wanted to let you guys know Tongue
//DeaDTerra

Thanks for the warning.

Note that you can ask NickServ to prevent anyone from using that nick if (s)he is not authenticated within 30 seconds IIRC.
I have fixed that now Smiley
I was unaware of that before.

Hi!

These sound like good options.

Will it be possible to split current investment- for example 50% long term, and 50% short term?

Or will it be all or nothing one way or the other?

Thanks.
You can split, you simply buy shares and open a account with me.
Though I will not have any conversion back of forth as it's a big waste of my time.
I want the new system to be more efficient then the current one so I can focus on investing instead of management.

On another note, if anyone on the withdraw list would accept shares instead of liquid BTC contact me.

Hi, I think this is a nice change, but how will you keep track on the long term and short term investors?

I think I will be a long term investor when/if this changes take effect.
Hello
The short term will trade their balance for GLBSE shares.
Hence they will have no personal account with GBF.
If you want a account you must be a long term investor.

After much delay, some my fault some due to the GLBSE down time.
1850 BTC is on it's way to GLBSE to be paid out as a dividend. This will make the bonds be worth 63% of 0.63 in face value Smiley
The 125 BTC that was suppose to be paid as a dividend disappears into the cloud due to a bug on GLBSE, we are getting the 125 BTC back and once we have gotten it back we will pay it out.
This was one of the reasons GLBSE was down yesterday.
