1082  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Poverty and its effects to the world on: May 27, 2018, 11:59:44 AM
life isn't that great even when your rich.  The amount of wealthy people I know that have committed suicide is very high. Money can bring more depression and more problems.

I couldn't agree more. Life is always unfair, deal with it. Now if you ask me what happiness is? I would answer you without hesitation that happiness is contentment. Because when you have that contentment in you can't feel poverty because contentment is a treasure that will never ever run out.

I don't see Dan Blitzerian commiting suicide anytime soon and no , happiness is not contentment with what you have, that is just to keep you from not raging against the system. Happiness is to do whatever you like to do without giving account to anything or anyone. Unfortunately it cannot be achieved, but life is not unfair, at least I don't see it as such.

Let's hope it will be another win today with odd 1.7 so we can close the week in little profit again but it is a difficult game for today.

1085  Economy / Reputation / Re: Full Member Bounty Cheater on: May 26, 2018, 07:21:02 PM
I will happily tag this guy--all of his accounts.  I also like when bounty managers report these cheaters themselves instead of ignoring them and having their discovery wind up in the community's hands.  There's no way I can see that this isn't a case of alt accounts entering the same bounty, but we'll see if he shows up after the tagging.

I believe it does not take a genius to see that only one person is operating those accounts. We just need to look at the email addresses provided to the bounty. Hahahah this guy lacks a lot in imagination.

Edit: Pharmacist come on man, you have way too much humor for being you know,.... a Pharmacist Smiley

Paste your link in this tool[1] and see if you can see the address and amount to send.

Thanks a lot, have just made a picture of this link with my phone for future references. However it was the PC problem, a mining rig with 6 Asus ROG Strix RX 570 which strangely kept showing red color invoice payment expired. I tried at my home PC after getting the seed from electrum at the mining rig and everything went well. Thanks again.
1088  Economy / Service Discussion / Bitpay Expired Invoice problem on: May 26, 2018, 11:18:06 AM
I have been converting my bitcoins through Skrill and Bitpay to money very easy from almost 1.5 years now. Today I wanted to upload bitcoins through skrill in order to withdraw them to my bank account after. A strange problem happens though, when I click Copy URL from Bitpay and paste it on my Electrum wallet, it is not anymore green (which means you can pay it) but it is in red (payment invoice expired). I know that payment invoices at bitpay expires after 15 minutes but this error happens as soon as I paste the URL to pay bitpay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1090  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The decline of forums on: May 25, 2018, 07:33:30 PM
I have been active on the forum since February 2016 and honestly the spam has increased with the increased price of bitcoin and other altcoins. The signature campaigns are responsible for this (not all of them but most of them, especially those who pay in tokens like Altcoin Bounties section). The problem is that shitposters do not think of signature campaigns as what they really are in the forum, a privilege rather they think it is their right to be part of any of them and they just post stupid things just in order to get paid. This is like a needed evil for the forum, as it needs traffic and these signature campaigns bring a lot of it. It has been said many times here and I agree to limit the signature campaigns only in altcoin section bounties and not with btc in order to go back to beautiful technical discussions as once upon a time on this forum.
1091  Economy / Lending / Re: Loan for family company on: May 25, 2018, 07:01:55 PM
Is there any way possible for me to get a non collateral loan? Need .01 for supplies for my father and I's interior-exterior company. What would help or confirm my legitimacy? I don't have collateral to offer, and I need to complete the job(jobs) to be able to pay back (jobs- towards a mower-landscaping in the summer as well as interior housework/ minor plumbing) . I was told here is a good place to start, I have read posts and understand because I'm new this is gonna be perceived differently.

Fundamentally speaking this looks like a made up story.
Do you not have any convicible proof of your company? like a photo or something transparent.

If someone told you that this is a place to start that is nothing but a lie you won't get any loan here (unless) you have a valid collateral or valid account to avail non collateral loan request and it is still subject to change with your lender

You are right. It is always a made up story as long as in the title it reads "Loan for family company". If the OP has really a company, even a small family one it should have no problem to get the loan in their city of residence as they should be known there and the banks can give loans quite easily, of course with collateral.
1092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: May 25, 2018, 12:48:50 PM
I would also be interested in running a pool where you predict the correct scores of each game like on the BBC Premier League Predictor but can't find a website that will do that so far. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

How about official FIFA World Cup match score predictor?
https://predictor.fifa.com

Perfect. We'll do both and then just add the points together.

Awesome because the fifa bracket is just a gamble in the predictor we can show some power of our predictions.

1095  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Installing LN on Tails on: May 24, 2018, 07:07:25 PM
And yet, is there a reward if you keep the node with lightning?

Yes, you can be rewarded for running a lightning network node. However, don't expect to earn a lot of money. When someone tries to send a lightning network payment indirectly, the shortest possible route needs to be found. Nodes which route the payment will receive a small reward (usually around 1 satoshi). You would have to open a lot of channels with some other big nodes to have a chance to be chosen. That's why some people think that it's unprofitable to run a LN node. Then what's the point of running a Bitcoin node if you don't get paid for that? To support the network.

Why do you want to use Lightning Network on the tails?

Probably, due to security. Tails uses only Tor network for the Internet access, doesn't it?

Yes it does. TOR only uses software which will keep you safe from any intruders trying to find out who you are. It comes with Electrum preinstalled in order to help bitcoin users. Also it is the best operating system for privacy and security. However I would suggest to OP since he wants to run a LN node on Tails for security reasons, he can do so in Kali Linux which you can install and it offers the same security if not even a better one.
1096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: May 24, 2018, 06:44:12 PM
It would be nice if we do the FIFA correct score or result of each game here in a Games and Rounds topic. As I have already said the only downfall of this is that someone may copy some other one predictions when he doesn't feel in the mood to make them himself. I think it would be fun to do World Cup both ways.

This week so far is catstrophic, what we can do at best is to minimize the damage. Maybe is tre last week of tipping until real leagues start again.

1099  Other / Meta / Re: Ragazzi! I'm having to translate on the Italian board to find posts to merit on: May 22, 2018, 06:43:03 PM
I'm really interested in the Italian banking problems, and I'd love it if we could have some Italians telling us about their experiences by posting in English.

Italy has come to a time where more than 70% of Italians are not as rich as they used to be before the introduction of the EUR currency. If you ask any normal/average Italian person he will tell you that the EUR destroyed Italy and the debt problems which is almost one week since they have resurfaced as a main topic in International news just shows that. Unemployment is at the highest levels. At our country used to come a lot of immigrants in the 90-2000 but now it seems many Italians are migrating too. That is the economic situation of Italy ,actually, I am no expert in economy but I am sure more than 70% of the Italians will agree with me. This is my personal experience too, my family not being as rich as they used to be before the introduction of the common currency.
1100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcointalk's FIFA World Cup and Premier League Predictor Football Pool on: May 22, 2018, 06:24:02 PM
Hey everyone, I want to join Premier league for next round at absolutely all costs, 25 Pound is great starting point, but if the users want to increase to 100 then why not if I have the money.

Also want to join into the World cup for 25 pound in bitcoin. Where do I send the money ?

Last but not least thanks for the payment hilariousandco.

Edit: When I try to register to the FIFA bracket challenge website, it doesn't move me to the next page. I will try different options but maybe is a website problem.

Registered.
