I'm in Sandwich, Illinois, three blocks due east of the fairgrounds on Center St. But if you're moving back to Chicago, I'm moving to Tennessee.  Remember, we're both from Indiana, me from Jasper County. The drummer in my band is from Knoxville, maybe I got confused. I wonder how many others in Chicago there are using Bitcoin. I am seriously considering attending a performing arts college there but have so much disdain for the midwest, there'd have to be something much much more for me there. Honestly, Illinois is not my ideal place to live, though it has afforded me a nice living. I enjoy the laid back lifestyle. Fishing in Northern Wisconsin or Eastern South Dakota, small town living down south like Tennessee, or Taos, NM. You can look at Chicago as another jumping off point, for the diversity in culture is sure to open up some doors with you skill sets, assuming you have skill sets. Back to the Meetup. Another place could be Red Door on Damen Ave., where you'll find more of my barn wood.    |

This is a common topic, but I always see it phrased in reference to the customer. As a business owner who sell merchandise I can tell you that it is not an issue about why customers would like to use it. The issue is if merchants would be willing to accept it. The answer is NO. I wont and they wont, because there is no price stability.
If not already, can't BitPay resolve the price stability aspect? Immediately after a purchase, the bitcoins are in BitPays possession, crediting the merchant with the exact exchange rate. At the end of the daily billing cycle, the exchanged currency is deposited into the merchant's bank account, sans the 0.99% fee. How hard can it be to set up such a system if not already implemented by BitPay? ~Bruno K~ |

With all the recent positive press lately, it should be an easier sell to give away $8,000+ USD at $1,000 USD a pop.
