This month is very special to etc, because some country have plan to meeting about ethereum classic, to growing it, and roadmap it. i think ethereum classic can back to level them, 0.006btc,
what do you think about it?
What country are you talking about and what is this meeting? All that came out in the news is that Charles Hoskinson is supporting ETC to an extent as an academic research project. They already laid out a road map I think. If you have more information please post them clearly in the thread.

@tuvok007. Yes that is true. The first thing they should do is hire more developers to accomplish the road map quicker. The second thing is to make partnerships with budding start ups and let them build dapps in the platform so that Lisk will become useful for the masses. The third is to find researchers to use the platform for academic purposes to find and expand more uses for it.

The most basic strategy buy low and sell high. Always trust your gut feeling and don't ask for advice on which alt to buy.
I disagree with that advice about listening to your gut feeling. If you perform a self experiment your gut feeling is what usually makes you do losing trades. So the advice should be to go against your gut feeling and do the proper research before making that buy order.

Ok. When was the annoucement made and how long has it been since? I hope it was not too long ago that they might have forgotten about it or dumped the idea. That would be not good because we need more exchanges that offers a wider range of services.

Is there any news when jwinterm will make any updates in the light wallet now that Monero is getting more popular? This is the right time to start working on the infrastructure and to make sure they are all working properly.
* jwinterm checks the news... Nope, no news Actually I will probably make at least some minor updates in the next week or two, but I just don't really have the time or inclination to put a ton of effort into at this point. It was kind of a learning Java/Libgdx project for me, and I thought if it could tide some folks until the Monero Core GUI came out, even better. Since it seems like the Core GUI is weeks away at this point, and I'm dealing with end of fiscal year madness at work right now, and I'm getting ready to sell a house halfway across the country, and school (and soccer and cheerleading and dance classes and etc.) all just started back up, I just don't see myself having much time at all to devote to it. The code is up on github though, anyone is free to fork it and update it or make pull requests. Otherwise, just wait...it's coming...soon™ Ok thank you. I would only like to suggest that a proper working light wallet would really help with the adoption of XMR. Most of the people who will have interest in this will not be interested in downloading the whole blockchain and run a full node. Also here's another problem. Maybe the Monero development team should look ahead and start thinking of ways of how to incentivize Monero nodes. I believe it will also have the same problems as bitcon in the future.

@Romanknickl. I am slowly beginning to think that we are in denial here. I do not think that whales are trying to keep the price down to accumulate more. Did anyone question that the whales want to get out of Lisk because they do not believe in the project anymore, or that they also think that it will not rise substantially?
If you are a long term investor then it should not matter. But how long can we really wait for this?
I believe you're here long enough to understand that a project of this size doesn't develop overnight. Remember Ethereum, it toke them more than a year just to release a wallet... Lisk has already done a lot compare to ETH and we are at the beginning only Yes I agree. It has done a lot but why are the whales selling and keeping the price down? I do not think it is to keep the price down. They might be selling because they want to exit now with a profit. There is an argument that platforms like Lisk or Ethereum have no use cases in the real world.

It's just a dump ... for over a month now.
Yes. Although I am a supporter of ETC we can all see that this latest comments in this thread is the smell of desperation. The ETC development team has been to quiet and this is the wrong approach. They should be very vocal on how they can take the platform in a better direction than Vitalik's team. When is Devcon 2? Will the ETC team attend it?

I am aware that only Poloniex has margin trading and short selling. Are there other exchanges where they are allowed? Some people in this forum say that Bittrex allows it also but I cannot find them in their exchange.
Please list the exchanges that allow them. Thank you.

OP, I have the same thing happen to me except that unlike you I did not see it as a problem. All I did was verify my ID and my home address to show them who I really was. Every withdraw I had with Poloniex went smoothly without any problems at all. You should have more patience when dealing with them and avoid soiling the reputation of the exchange that is holding your money. It will only work against you and your interests.

I am not tech-savy enough to really gauge NXTs or ardors potential, but I've always felt, that NXTs problem was mostly the lack of good PR, kinda like the Linux of cryptocurrencies: neat stuff, but ultimately only suitable for nerds and techfreaks.
In my opinion it is more like they are creating a platform without any use cases. The idea for NXT was to have a platform so that people and companies can issue assets thru the platform. But the question is what do the people in the cryptosphere need to issue assets for unless they are scams or gimmicks to make money? Also the companies will rather issue assets or company stocks the right way to avoid problems with the authorities.

Looks excellent for LSK imho, price is super steady and there's a team behind it working and making progress.
And when some 8 000 000 usd from ico is released.... What are you trying to say? That they will pump LSK with it? I hope not, that practice is not considered ethical. I would very much prefer for a real rise than the Lisk team doing something questionable.

Please make a better OP to start the discussion. How can people speculate at what price Antshares will be if all you give us is a question and a short sentence. Please make the research and post it. Examples of these are the development team behind it, the price average of ANS depending on how much ANS was received per BTC and the amount raised.

I have a question for the OP. But how long will you have to wait and how sure are you that the shitcoin you are holding will rise very high to make the wait worth it?
I think your suggestion is a very bad investment advice because who in their right mind would advice someone to buy 2 - 5 BTC worth of shitcoins?

Main rule in altcoin trading is don't buy at peak price and never sell on dip being panic as well as don't go with hype over chat rooms in exchangers.
Yes. Also this is a very overused phrase here but "buy low and sell high" is a very wise advice. You can see that there are still some people who never learn because you can see that they do mistakes repeatedly. Just like you mentioned, they still buy at the peak because they are scared of being left by the train and then they panic sell.

when FBI and DEA sized darket then all monero coins will be over night drop to 1$ or les,its will happen real soon!
Monero right now has a real base and followers, since monero is the real secure and untraceable currency,it can be used freely without the prying eyes of law enforcement. The owner of KAT would be still running the website if he was using monero more over if he have used his brain he would have being safe. Either way monero is the future and it is nice to see some good currencies having a value, bitcoin value didnt drop when Ross William Ulbricht was caught so this will be the case here too. I believe XMR will be put to the real test when the FBI, DEA and the NSA step in to catch darknet mechants using the coin. Let us not be in denial that we are talking about the power of the whole US government versus a group of core developers of Monero. There is already talk that Monero's weakness will be seeen in the view key feature. Let us see.

Neither.
A problem with Bitcoin/ETH and transactions is that very few will agree to have their 'credit card' flow of information broadcast publicly. And people should be reluctant to buy Bitcoin since it could potentially come from a criminal stash on some sort of watch list so it could put them in danger for simply buying some coins.
For this reason Monero is going to disrupt the cryptocurrency industry. I think for digital gold Bitcoin is fine and ETH for smart contracts but for some other uses people are excited about like being used on the same scale and as fiat they will be disappointed because the fundamentals are not suitable for it.
But do you think that it would be much safer to store some of your money in bitcoins? I like Monero too but to be honest it still remains to be seen if it will be a long term cryptocoin like bitcoin. I am still not convinced that the acceptance in the darknet will be enough. It must be used in the darknet but I heard that the merchants accepting it are going down.

If you are not aware there is an altcoin bingo happening at Poloniex right now. There are sub cent coins that are being pumped that would sometimes reach + 500% or even more. Why not take a look and see if it is to your liking.

Bitcoin uptrend mean LSK price will be lower. Target 0.00038
Yes. It does not look good for Lisk right now. The price that would affect all our psyche as holder is the break below 40k satoshis. If the price stays below that then I will expect more casual holders to dump this and move on to other coins. I have no problem with that, but the problem is the further fall in price that comes with all their dumping.

@Raja_MBZ. "It is just a dump"? That is a sign of a loss of confidence among the holders of ETC. This price range is where it should hold because going lower than this will result in ETC losing the miners. If that happens then we will be vulnerable to a 51% attack. Do not naively think that no one is out there to destroy ETC.
