10841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: September 28, 2017, 09:46:51 AM
I never really believe in superstition so I don't think that it would have an effect in gambling,if you're going to lose you will lose it's just about the luck and your skill.
If you do not believe in superstitions then obviously there is no way that it will work for you. Sometimes, you need to have faith in something if you want them to happen. Moreover, fear has an unexpected way of becoming true. Superstitions do work for many people and you will definitely come across such examples in your life.

Exactly, having a basis for something inexplainable by science can be healthy sometimes.
wow its all about inside the minds of those who believe on it but we cant blame anyone since its working as they believe that it really does,
but along the way this kinds of belief already been questioned by science and reality.
If we do base on science then they wont really believe such thing knowing that they would really oppose on those beliefs. The reality on gambling on which luck would be the main thing which would really let us win on playing it.We cant really blame people on the things that they would believe as long they dont harm anyone then let those people do follow on what they like.Just mind our own business.

The reason for this unbelief is that there is no actual fact to support it.  People cannot explain how they say that that thing happen.  Nor any supporting documents that these superstition is true.  Science see it as a concept created by human mind when something happen and they cannot explain it nor to prove that it actually existed.  This goes with luck too.

For me, there is no need to show actual facts if you believe in superstitions. It is all in the mind of the gamblers. For them its really hard to explain but through their faith in such kind of superstitions resulted in a winnings. As I mentioned, that I don't really believed in it but a lot of my friends do. I don't demand from them to show me some actual facts so that I will also believed in it. But I don't do it out of respect for them. I just always told them that gambling is based on pure luck and superstitions will not influence the outcome.
10842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the factors that affect the rise and fall of the BTC? on: September 28, 2017, 09:16:32 AM
Since bitcoin is based on speculative market, the price could be affected by some of kind of news like the China banning of the ICO and the Dimon statement that put the price into a dip. Those negative news has really put the confidence of some of the investors causing a panic selling, pulling the price. But if you see a good news like Japan embracing and adopting bitcoin, you will notice that the price goes high as result of this news. Also the basic supply and demand. If there are new investors who wants to enter the market, and we all know that their is only a limited supply of bitcoin, the prices will obviously spike.  As demand for bitcoin increases, prices rises. Simply as that.
10843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to quit Gambling for good? on: September 27, 2017, 09:30:42 AM
you can quit gambling when ever you want just put in your mind that you can do it for lifetime.

But its not that easy mate. You have to be mentally strong and resist going back to gambling again. Because sometimes your mind would said no, but your heart decides otherwise. That's why you need to get yourself busy with other thing or go other places so that it will not remind you of anything gambling related.

But as long as you identify that you have gambling addiction and admit to yourself that you want to get out of it and needed help, I think this is already a good step for you and having a supportive family will also bring your addiction to zero. Admit to yourself + solid support system = quitting gambling.
10844  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin - new Business Opportunities on: September 27, 2017, 09:04:47 AM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency as it is part of technology they're is a wide range of opportunities for this kinds of business to choose from. As a travelers ATM/bitcoin machine is the first and mostly look for when in othe country. But I would love to see cyberzone on malls or computer centers accepting bitcoin as an alternative for fiat. For now I'm into a small business on my local wallet, a loading station when at high price I converted it and as a capital for my online load center. I got almost 40% profit for 10$ a day. I know it is small but it was enough for me.

This might one of the examples for people who would really use btc as an investment to make another income either IRL or in the web. As far as i know, btc exchanges differ in which country you are. So maybe before having a flight, one must research the country they are going to visit for any cryptoservices that could offer conversion to fiat.

I'm seeing loading station as one of the benefits of having btc in the Philippines because coins.ph can be use as such. I myself have tried to do it and its very beneficial to me as well. I used my bitcoin earning and my laptop (instead of the traditional cellphone) as my loading station. Yes, it is really small amount but I guess money is money. And was able to put up a mini grocery for my father and mother in law so that they will not get bored and have a least some money to buy medicines and put food in the table. They are now financially independent as well.
10845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So the China Bitcoin ban is because NORTH KOREA on: September 27, 2017, 03:24:47 AM
It is hard to understand, can someone explain to me is not
Why is bitcoin banned in China but related and why from North Korea

What has North Korea do in connection with pressuring China? I don't get it. North Korea is isolated already because of its threat to the world. They are even mining bitcoin so that they will survived from all the embargo the West has put up. But North Korea telling China to ban bitcoin? Unlikely. There are reasons that China has turn its backs to bitcoin, but I doubt that it has something to do with North Korea. The article doesn't explain it and I agree that John Crudele is anti-bitcoin so its not surprising he is attacking it. All mainstream media are riding into bitcoin's popularity so no wonder John Crudele is doing it as well.
10846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin's Price Is Behaving Sticky on: September 27, 2017, 02:59:46 AM
See now, china has lost control over bitcoin price, or it's just the Chinese bitcoin users moving out of their country and migrating their money to other countries.
it seems that the regulation of china government has no more affection to the crypto world. so if the popular exchanges there will be closing down, it's not a thing.

Well people of China are thinking and making way how they can use their bitcoin after China regulate the usage. Too sorry for them.
But I'm thinking that maybe if China will not success in their plan or they lose some of their fortune they'll remove the banned in ico and get back again to business.

I do believed that the Chinese bitcoin enthusiast would not stop using bitcoin by instead find a ways to do trading because most of them relied on bitcoin as means of living. So banning ICO and closing exchanges are wrong because the one that will suffer is the Chinese people. They probably move their bitcoin in other exchanges.

But if China block access to outside exchanges, then they can't do anything about it. They need to succumb to the government's rule, otherwise a strict penalty would be impose and you don't want to go to jail. The other choice is to go out of the country and went to a bitcoin friendly nation where you can have the freedom to trade.
10847  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What happened ? on: September 23, 2017, 05:51:09 PM
t seems to me early to invest, falls are still possible. I'll think about buying when fixed under 4000.
The market calmed down after the Chinese regulations, but that doesn't mean we should expect the market to climb back up all the way to near $5000 levels. Don't forget that as long as we have the hard fork event upcoming in November, there won't be much incentive for another rush to get initiated. I don't see much reason for the market to do anything other than bouncing up and down like we've been experiencing in the last days. I am still not putting aside what Goldman Sach has said;

Quote
Jafari predicted, the price could climb to as much as $4,827. But she went on to caution that the market could correct, sending the price tumbling below $3,000.
Peak early this month $4979.9, and bottom nearly one week ago $2972. How shockingly accurate is this prediction!? The point I am mainly focusing on is that after that it was said that the price could fall down all the way to $2200'ish levels - that remains to be seen.

Yes, the prediction seems to be on target, but before I was just laughing how Jafari would make such predictions. Because at that time there were no negative news coming from China and I'm thinking what could be the catalyst for this fall. So I just shrug it off. But when I go back and read the prediction, I still don't know if she see's the future of what. LOL. Yup, I hope she is wrong with the $2200 prediction. But it is possible because we have still one week before the exchanges shut down its operation. Let see how it goes.
10848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Shrem "China has no real effect on the future of bitcoin" on: September 23, 2017, 04:35:32 PM
Charlie Shrem is one of the pioneer in Bitcoin and said “This China FUD is playing on all your fear, uncertainty and doubt. China has no real effect on the future of bitcoin. Bitcoin is about censorship free and an alternative non govt controlled financial system. China’s relevancy is diminishing by the day. They overplayed their hand and there is a reason they are being ambiguous. The only power they have over bitcoin is the power you give them. Bitcoin puts a financial system back in our control.”

Agree with Charlie Shrem?

Source: https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/charlie-shrem-china-no-real-impact-bitcoin/

The only power they have is in the mining because they still have the monopoly, but if it can be reduced then China's influence will really diminished overtime. They have put a significant dent in the price recently but bitcoin has overcome it already. But we still have the closure of the exchanges so I don't know what's the impact gonna be. But definitely as day passes by, they are less considered and we may totally forgot about what China did to bitcoin specially in the beginning. Its just regrettable how things turn out to Chinese bitcoin enthusiast.
10849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC FN 117: Saint Preux vs Okami Info and Prediction Thread on: September 23, 2017, 12:50:02 PM
Wtf happened to Claudia Gadelha?  I thought she was on her way to challenge the Polish girl for the women's SW belt?  And why did she even agree to get this fight on?  It's such a risk for her.

Anyway, here are the results:

Yeah, she was the consensus no. 2 behind Joanna Jedrzejczyk but she was outclassed by Jessica Andrade. I mean she was just massacred by Andrade. What a fight. I mean she doesn't have any answer and even slamming takedown on Claudia. Damn what a fight. You guys should watch the highlights and see it for yourself. Those women are very strong and powerful. And Andrade was on a different level. So its gonna be Jedrzejczyk vs Andrade next for the belt. Eager to see which will stay on top because this women are really scary. LOL.
10850  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Charlie Lee: China Bitcoin Mining Ban Rumors are False on: September 23, 2017, 12:09:33 PM
This is a good read, I'm taking note. Many people are just that weak to be affected easily by those fake news. But the said traders are successful in manipulating the price of bitcoin because it had fallen down so much. This is a test for all of us that we should believe in bitcoin.

I think we should all take note of this. Remember they have like 70% control of all mining power and shutting them down will complete put a significant affect on the market. I consider Charlie to be somewhat authoritative and wouldn't just open his mouth to attract attention. He has connections and so I will take his word. Maybe this offset what Dimon said earlier, that's why the price has somewhat go green again after a 2-3 days of slowly declining. Current price is tag at $38xx, probably push to $4000 or more if this statement could be verified by the Chinese government.
10851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one or two coin huge pump or dump every day on: September 23, 2017, 11:46:27 AM
hi guys, so i noticed that every day there are alway 1 or 2 coin that get huge pump or dump long time ago, im sure you too.

but in my mine right now is how to find what coin will next coin will get that huge pump, seems i cant figure that out.

any suggestion how ?
and what your opinion about that huge pump and dump ?

If you are not a experienced traders, its really hard to know which coins are going to be pump. But there are groups who will exactly do that. This is a close group, but they are many. So what they do is choose a coin they are going to pump and all members would be buying this coins and if you are not included in the group, of course we wouldn't know that they are doing it. The risk here is that if you go with them by buying then suddenly they decided to dump it leaving you trap and can't get out in time. I'm not saying that you should join, but instead used your better judgment if you see coins being pump hard.
10852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 216: Ferguson vs Lee Info and Prediction Thread on: September 22, 2017, 01:41:24 PM
Here's a little teaser for you guys.  I can't wait to see Ferguson in the octagon again.  He's so fun too watch with his weird style.  Anyway...  Do you guys know or have any news on why this isn't a fight vs Khabib for Ferguson?  The interim LW championship should be fought between those two, right?

Enjoy the video.  Wink

UFC 216: Ferguson vs Lee - Extended Preview
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VkFKiRud2SE

They are actually scheduled to face one another at UFC 209 for the Interim title. However, Khabib was having issues cutting weight, which landed him at the hospital. And even after he was released, he was not medically cleared by doctors to fight on, so the fight was totally scraped. And that's why the fight was cancelled and instead its re-scheduled but this time its between Tony and Kevin. For sure the winner between the two will call out Khabib to see the best LW right now.

The fight already started even if the two hasn't really fought in the ring. Its in the twitter sphere. If you have followed those two, they are going at it for months now before the actual scheduled fight. Unfortunately, because of the weight cut issues of Nurmagomedov, the fight is off. Let's see if this 3 gonna beat the hell out of each other before facing Connor, who is sitting with his millions now.
10853  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jamie Dimon bashes Bitcoin again on: September 22, 2017, 01:14:59 PM
i believe this time it is more like a middle finger to everyone since recently (i think it was yesterday) that they said Jamie Dimon is going to get in to trouble with the Swedish financial authorities over manipulating the market.

it would be very interesting to see how this ends though.

ref: https://news.bitcoin.com/jamie-dimons-bitcoin-statements-reported-as-market-abuse-in-sweden/

Yes, I also read that news and I was laughing because someone take Dimon one on one. LOL. It would be interesting how he will defend himself. But I think nothing will happen out of it because its really hard to substantiate, its a free market after all.

He defies the true form of a Businessman. He doesn't care how others will feel especially to the new investors in this industry as long as he gets what he wants. This new attack that he made for sure will bring another mark down to the value of Bitcoin which in this he could take advantage of it and bought again. A typical strategy to manipulate the market especially if you are the CEO of one of the controversial bank in the world. He smells money in this field that's why he penetrates it no matter what will it cost to others.

He is after all the very definition of a businessman/opportunist. Definitely his statement will affect the price as I see it going down to $3500 now. And we still have the local Chinese exchange closing its operation at the end of the month. So it gonna be another bumpy ride starting today up to the end of the month.
10854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BITCOIN CRAZY on: September 22, 2017, 12:20:56 PM
Do you believe that much will be surprising at bitcoin's price when it reaches 3k usd per bitcoin. I think so many panic selling that the bag holders have. and there's panic buying that happens because bitcoin is cheap when incidentally.

who suggest nyo guys the fate of bitcoin and bitcoin cash.
if the price reaches 3K then there will be a tremendous panic. we all would think that selling bitcoin is the best thing to avoid more losses. but some people must have taken advantage of this incident. there must be a way that can reduce the bitcoin price to last at least at 3500USD rates, we as bitcoin users should agree to hold, because it can withstand the decline in bitcoin prices drastically.
An alternative theory can also be that a few persons who actually made a profit in short selling by selling it at higher price and buying at low and again selling at high. I am sure JP morgan would be on the top of this list.
JP Morgan is an example about the whales create the FUDs on the market, they never tell the truth while they want to create these FUDs, because they need to make traders feel doubt, worry ... to help them buy Bitcoin with cheapest price. Wink

And the guy never stops.

https://www.cnbc.com/2017/09/22/bitcoin-jpmorgans-jamie-dimon-lays-into-bitcoin-again.html

He is trying to create another FUD so that they can bought it as cheap price. Calling it novelty and the government will put a hammer ban once they grow in the future. We have seen his sweet talking has cause a lot of panic last week pulling the price to $2800. But I think investors are wiser now because we already unmasked wants his real intention of bashing bitcoin and crypto's in general. I hope that those who have read the article won't be affected again by him criticizing bitcoin once more.
10855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Superstition on: September 21, 2017, 10:21:18 AM
Here in our country many people believe in superstitious not just gambling but almost everything else, It is not bad for you to believe in superstition especially in gambling because it gives luck to those who believes and obey it, and can also avoid bad luck or defeat. but there are people who do not believe in superstition they rely on their expertise and strategy and also They rely on their luck.

I don't mind people believing in superstitions. Heck even my Mom believed it in many superstitious and it was a norm in our house that you have to. But sadly, after my Mom passed away, everything chance when specially me growing up. I understand that winning is based on pure luck alone and no amount of prayers or whatever will turn the tide to favor you. So I completely abandon my mindset about it but play with logic and skills on my side. Never ever rely your life on superstitions. It will really bring more harm that good in the long run, specially in gambling.
10856  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit the $30.000 mark before 2020 on: September 21, 2017, 09:49:39 AM
Just spoke with several financial experts with backgrounds in the banking sector. They told me once Japan opens itself up to the Bitcoin the currency is very likely to reach the 30.000 USD mark before 2020 since
Japan has been known to be a trendsetter and have high influence on the EU and US markets.
Still bitcoin is different from EU and US markets. But you're also right that Japan is known to be a trend setter but I don't think it will actually reach that high in year 2020. Maybe around 15-18k dollar is possible.

15-18k$ is pretty far to be happen but possible if there is a big thing will boost it up for that period, But since 2020 is so far to be happen right now well maybe those possibilities have some chances but if there are some tragedy will happen then 15k$ minimum will be unreachable and maybe the one we can see is at 8k$ price.

Its a big challenge for bitcoin to really push the price around the $30K level i the future. We just lost a country supporting it and we need another one besides the current to man up and enter the picture. This is the only scenario that I consider that will really get the price to at least $20K or more in the future. Even if Segwit2x proposal is activated in the next couple of months. I don't think that $10K is possible in 2018. Well its still a long way and far from 2020, but I will remain optimistic here and wish the price could go as high as that.

WAtch out for Ultra coin,.. didn't do my research and tried to install qt to phone... asked to install Ministro II and it downloaded all my information from phone... I'm preparing for an unslaught of cyber hacking. FUCK MY LIFE

Then took a hold of all of your accounts then change password immediately and used 2FA if possible. That is the best preparation for an onslaught as you are referring to. Its really our turn to safeguard all of our accounts and information and what the above posters have said, do a research first. You should learn your lessons in a hard way mate. Goodluck and hope that nothing will happen to your wallet and whatever information they got from you.
10858  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Law To Declare Bitcoin Ownership on: September 21, 2017, 08:32:41 AM
Is it necessary?, a question that is debatable and needs more clarification before any move on doing this move. If it happens and I have huge amount of bitcoin in me, I will declare it to government but in a contract/law that this property once being stolen will be refunded by government. I don't think most of bictoin users will follow this kind of policy. We all know that government official will only care for profits than service. It will be hard for us to get those papers on holding bitcoin.

Its very tricky and debatable indeed. If government will try to go and have us declare our bitcoin then we lost everything that what has been started, decentralized and pseudo- anonymous. I'm not saying its a hidden wealth or something that is dirty that's why we are all hiding it from the prying eyes of the government agencies, but bitcoin has something to do with us being our banks, without the reach of the banking system. I don't know, maybe I haven't look at it really so maybe when the time comes we can all debate about it in depth.
10859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: September 21, 2017, 08:12:07 AM
I really had a good experience this past weekend playing at a land based casino. I went to play slots, on Saturday and I think I lost a few. Went back again the next day, and my .005BTC capital became x10 because I immediately hit a bonus which gave me .05BTC in just a matter of minutes. So I counted everything including all my cost and lost the previous day so it turns out to I'm still on the winning side so I immediately went home very happy and feeling good. So yes, I still frequent land based casino if I feel I'm going to win, of course, gut feeling I guess.  Grin
10860  Economy / Economics / Re: To be a millionaire in the United States is to still be poor on: September 21, 2017, 07:55:08 AM
Being a millionaire is relative. Some countries which has a very low cost of living and having a million dollars would be awesome and you can buy not just a house but a building. But if you are in the States or other country which has a high cost of living, then 1 million dollars would be nothing. So it really depends on what part of the globe you are. But I know for a fact that not all states have a high cost, so if you really want to spend and buy apartment then you should research which part of the US you can buy cheap house.
