I almost never short any coins but I just had to open a short on XRP.
Basically went from $4 Billion to $8 Billion market cap overnight.
For every 1BTC in my balance, i've shorted 0.25BTC, I would only get margin called if it went to 50K Sats. Which is highly highly unlikely since that would mean Ripple has a higher marketcap of BTC.
Long term ETH is the only alt that I see surviving...

I think eventually sometime in the future Segwit will get activated. Miners want money correct? Well they make money in 2 different ways.
1) Extra miner fees with every block they find. Currently its usually an extra ~1 BTC or so.
2) 12.5 BTC for the block reward.
After Segwit goes online their miner fees will be reduced because blocks won't be filled up as before. However with the huge adoption of Bitcoin in the near future, the fees will go back to the way they were. LightningNetwork is way too far off right now to think about.
However if BTC/USD can double/triple just by Segwit activation then their mined BTC will be worth much more.
Basically pick the better option.
14.00 BTC per block @ 1500 BTC/USD
12.75 BTC per block @ 2000 BTC/USD
Which option would the miners choose?
However there is a centralization issue at the moment in China that they probably still want control off. When BTC goes higher, more miner manufactures might start ASIC production and they will lose marketshare. By keeping BTC/USD low, then they can still keep their monopoly. But if BTC/USD is very high then they will start to get competition.

It is not about profit all the time. Actually by giving freebies or even let them keep on using faucet, the site will be looking more crowded then the other site. Thus this will attract more players to come and stay, imagine how will it looks like when you are the only one play in the site . If OP is scammer, he already got -ve trust in his account (realsecondstrade). What the admin should do instead is try and get his old account back. If he signed a message with an old BTC address he can use that to show the moderators that he is the genuine owner. If he never did that "Meta data stake your BTC address" then since he owns the domain Secondstrade.com he should just post his BTC address or "realsecondstrade" nickname or something unique on the website and the mods might give him control of his old account. However not sure if they will do that since it looks like the domain might be hacked also by the same guy. |

Since you guys are on Alpha you should either make it invite only or demo mode only because your site is having issues and you are betting bad trust as a result of it. Because its hard to say whether you are scamming people or if you site is legit but had terrible bugs which makes it seem like a scam. |

One thing I have not seen in many bitcoin gambling sites is the use of play money to let users try out their games first. Play money is a must if you want to attract users because most of us do not have the disposable income available at all times. Sometimes we only want to play for fun without the risk of losing anything.
Please consider this because it will also be good for you because your site will be discussed more in the forum.
Fortunejack offers play money for users to try out their games, when i get busted i use play money lol. it would be nice if you could make a list and update op. Yes fortune jack does give you the option to play using play money. They also allow you to refill that play money. But I tried using it, and the chances of winning in play money is a lot higher than real money. I'm not sure if it's because it is play money or just because I was luckier in play money. But I prefer to play using faucet money instead. When I do get lucky, I can withdraw that money. If there is even slight chance that casino is manipulating outcome of a bet even when no real money is involved then it is nothing but a scam aimed to lure more people to play. So do you have any tangible proof that they are scamming people? That's what the Provably fair seeds are for. Because for many people they usually win alot when betting small but when they bet big they usually start losing and they always assume the casino is cheating them. However if they actually verified the seeds after their betting session they would see that they just lost due to bad luck and not cheating. |

The creator of LTC spoke with owner of Bitmain and they claimed last month to only have 2x of the current hashrate of chips.
Back then the difficulty was 2.5TH/s or so, so they have about 5.0TH/s worth of chips.
However price went up since then and they might of put more in production since it makes more sense mining LTC now then BTC.

Correct me if I am wrong but you quality for at least one of them. Idk why they have done that as their 24 hours profit is always more than 600btc. Looks like a cheap shot to me. That and I think they might ban you if it looks like you resold your PD account to someone else. On this forum people are selling their old PD accounts which have a high rollover and a high faucet amount. |

From the previous posts I found that this issue is already clarified by the owner and they have provided all the answers of all the questions regarding the questions like that. Is not that non sense to ask the same questions again and again? From what the developers have said is that it has new owners but for some reason it uses the same old cold storage as Satoshidice. So if this is true. No idea if the funds in the Cold storage are safe since they have the private key for it. So they can easily run off with those funds... unless its the same owners... but they say its not. You aren't the only one confused. It's pretty bad to know that their are new owners already but the cold storage remained the same. That's a pretty bad security risk they have there. Probably this is why there have been quite a lot of buzz surrounding satoshidice and this new megadice having fraudulent actions lately. Best to do is totally just avoid it for now until everything is clear. I think you do not need to worry about this, in fact, changing the owner does not affect too much on the operation of the casino. Everything is normal, small errors will be fixed soon. A signature campaign aimed at advertising casinos has taken place, I believe everything will be fine. Yes changing owners is normal and happens in everyday of business but usually all the assets and liabilites are transferred. Here the cold storage remains in the hands of the old owners. Which makes no sense. If the cold storage started with a "3" then it would be a Multisig address and then it would make a little more sense however according to the type of bitcoin address it is, it only have 1 private key that apparently 2 owners are holding. Very risky. |

My issue with this admin is that he basically wants to invest his money into business ventures which have purely ZERO RISK. That's why he launched this one-sided casino which only accepts loses, and if some players do make some BTC, they simply refuse to pay them stating that "our hot wallet is empty until more deposits show up".
No idea if this FUNC alternative coin is going to get anywhere with this site.

No the best GPU for ZCASH is the Radeon 7950/ 7970/ 280x which you can buy second hand for like $50-$75.
Each will get you 300 H/s. So impossible to lose money on those.
Keep in mind they use 200 Watts however.

Mining is more profitable now than it was since the halving.
During the early Avalon days (Gen 1 tech) and the MtGox Bankruptcy (Gen 2 tech) there were tons of manufacturers.
I can name Avalon, Bitfury, Butterfly Labs, KNC Miner, TerraMiner, SP, Bitmain, ASICMiner, BlackArrow, Hashfast, etc, etc.
I am guessing that back then since there was less competition and less miners out on the market there were profits to be gained so manufactures kept popping up.
Now that BTC/USD is rising faster than difficulty can keep up. At what price again do you think manufactures will get into developing miners?
Or is the 16nm technology simply too complex and expensive compared to the early 50-100nm technology that miners were originally made with.
