10881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Amazon.com still resisting the use of BTC for payment? on: August 08, 2016, 05:26:52 PM
I think it’s because the price of bitcoin keep fluctuating unstably and unpredictably, like when it stabilized at some point and then the next day it could drop like hundreds of dollars and after that it could rise significantly. Amazon can get a huge amount of profit from it or can lose millions of dollars because of a small drop.

Amazons products deal with fiat transaction so an active price fluctuation in bitcoin must considered as main factor if they will accept bitcoin.

But you know, there are already some numbers of third party exchangers that can be used if a person wants to use their bitcoin to purchase in Amazon.
10882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ♥♦♣♠RIO Olympic Basketball Official Discussion Thread ♥♦♣♠ on: August 08, 2016, 05:24:55 PM

maybe spain is a great contender for USA. but USA line up is very strong in all aspect, outbound and inbound game. they are awesome.
i think there's no country is match or even to USA team now. i hope there's a balancing system in basketball in olympics. because USA is overkill for Asian
country both size and skills. Smiley

No team will be a great contender for the USA.

The difference of Team USA to other teams is, they are unique in terms of offense. Almost all team doesn't changed their lineup also included all veterans which is not a typical strategy if you are to compete with the Team USA. Yes, it's better to have a fixed lineup but thoughts here must changed if you are to faced the monster Team USA.
10883  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will Bitcoin reach $10,000? on: August 08, 2016, 05:20:32 PM
2022 is too early to expect I think it will take almost 10 more years to achieve that price and there is no assurance that will hold that price in future.
it is definitely not too early, in my opinion the price of the bitcoin might be even higher on that year, i hope that the price will be booming

You are not getting the picture. People tend to make profits at large fluctuations and in a matter of 4 years (2022 like in the quoted post) there are lots price drama that will happen that will include huge movement.

2022 is just 4 years away. No way it can reached $10,000. Im not an expert and no such have a proper basis but I will stand to my point.
10884  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the Future of Bitcoin ? on: August 08, 2016, 05:15:16 PM
I don't think It will terminate all the payment mediums. It will over cross paypal and It occupy the number one rank in payment windows. Other than that bitcoin will become well money in future and all the will accept bitcoins and even paypal also may open sending bitcoins through paypal medium.

Not all people can hug the bitcoin system so it's a dumb thing to desire that bitcoin will terminate other payment processor. In the first place, that's why merchants have lots of different payment processor is to touch all of it's clients.

If only bitcoin will prevail, then it will just make other clients to not choose that merchants since like I said everyone can't used bitcoin.
10885  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you still believe in bitcoin on: August 08, 2016, 05:13:00 PM
I beleive in bitcoin crypto coin but i think that after bitcoin i am sure that some other crypto will replace him because if govrement  of some country say that bitcoin is illegal they can create crypto market manipulation.

This could become reality with banks often having Government support and monopoly in the market, they could introduce their own virtual currency. In my country the Reserve Banks have started researching into Blockchain technology and I'm sure it wont be long before they start providing their own Blockchain powered currency. Despite this, no matter what, I'll still believe in Bitcoin cause of the decentralize nature of it. We don't want monopolistic organizations owning our funds and controlling how we spend it and on what. I don't prefer monitoring of our personal savings and spendings.

Keep in mind that nothing beats the genuine one unless they will launched an all out blocking of bitcoin in the said country.

But you know economist are not that dumb to let Government own virtual currency. There are lots of factors to consider for a government if they will execute such things like that.

Well let's see.
10886  Economy / Speculation / Re: When Bitcoin will pass 1000 usd again ? on: August 08, 2016, 05:11:09 PM
I guess we'll see the 1000$ figure when demand reaches that point. In my perspective reaching a milestone only based on hype is not safe and did damage back at 2013. Now in todays reality Bitcoin is stronger each day and here are the facts:
1) People have been accumulating coins at approximatelly 600+ dollars for over a month which represents how resistances are build (nobody wants to sell for less than he bought).
2) We had the halving and it works like a charm, less coins are put into circulation every day and the demand is still on the rise
3) Bitcoins gradually go to more hands! That's the base point of price appreciation, we have a non inflatory currency split at 21 million parts and 7bn people to use them  Grin

You have a nice analyzation out there.

1) Actually yes especially when the price keeps silent after the halving ETA. The resistance around $650 is nearly noticeable and it was just being spoiled by recent sh*t activity resulting for a price decrease to an average margin. If there's no spoiled things happen (which isn't actually not possible, at least..) I wonder where are we now, maybe still sitting at around $650. Smiley

2) Output can't be feel by an average joe I guess.

3) Increase in adoption? Hope so. I have no such basis but I think the accumulation is mostly by the same person. They just add another rounds of bitcoin in their lovely bitcoin wallet.
10887  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are you buying bitcoins? Why? on: August 08, 2016, 05:00:26 PM
Share with us what's your main reason for buying bitcoins?

My first reason because im sure i can sell bitcoin at higher price then i can take some profit, my other reason just for support new technology with highest chance to beat dollar, im sure in future bitcoin will be famous like dollar.

well this is pretty much hard for bitcoin to beat dollar, a 300 year old currency which is leading currency also of the world economics and business,
but yeah. bitcoin is being famous day by day and becoming a grown up currency. we can hope it will give a though competition to dollar.

Bitcoin to compete dollar and then what? What are you expecting to happen in the near future? Didn't you know some glimpse on what will happen if dollar will somehow be less in usage compare to bitcoin? Well Im just asking on what is your thoughts.

Anyways back to quoted post of yours, as anyone here, the general purposes of others to buy bitcoin is for profit purposes compare on what bitcoin can actually give as a currency.

10890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about the idea of a bitcoin shop in big cities? on: July 26, 2016, 04:50:15 PM
Hey Guys,

what would be your opinion if there would been Bitcoin shops in big cities like London, Berlin or Paris (also smaller cities).
So you could go inside the shop and buy or sell Bitcoin for a good price.

I think it would be an good (and an advantage) idea because more people would use Bitcoin so the price would rise up and the people who are owning Bitcoins at the moment would have more money in Bitcoins. Wink

Best regards,

Patrick Smiley

The price won't increase much since bitcoin will now be circulated regularly in the real world and it will treaten now as a currency and not for investment.

But of course, my statement can be just applied if majority of bitcoin users will do that thing.
10891  Economy / Speculation / Re: Next breakout in bitcoins price when will it be? on: July 26, 2016, 04:18:31 PM
Last November 2015 we have witness a big surge on bitcoins monetary value. This 2016 many have awaited for the increase during the halving but the increase had happened months before halving and that is last june, 2016. Technical experts have said that there will be more breakout to happen. So let us roll out our ideas as to when will the next breakout be.

So what are your guess?

I don't have an idea about what kind of "breakout" will happen in one of these days or should I say "in the future". What Im doing is taking closely the price monitoring in daily basis since there are unexpected scenarios.

Im making sure that I can ride every possible trend that will happen in bitcoin price. No rooms for regrets in me, that's my policy since then.

10893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: People who are successful, experienced traders - how did you get into it? on: July 25, 2016, 05:09:06 PM
I'm new to the idea of bitcoin trading in general, and I was wondering how people actually get into it? It sounds like a lot of people have some sort of background in economics or finance, or work in trading in their day jobs and use btc trading as a sideline, are there a lot of people like this? Do people learn by losing money and then figuring out where they went wrong and correcting it?

I'm interested to hear people's stories.

Having a background about economical and market related terms isn't necessary for a person who wants to do trades, at least in my case.

If a person really wants to learn the art of trading, they will seek deeply about all the information they can get. But of course, reading is not enough if they will not put themselves in the actual scene.

Like you stated in the last part of your post, yes failures from trading experiences making us a good trader. There is no trader who doesn't experience loss in my own point of view.
10894  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: largest faucet win you ever made on: July 25, 2016, 04:32:04 PM
I was just wondering who has made a lot of btc NY winning with a small amount from a faucet ? I have made over 10 k a few times at free coin. But I did a few claims by before that.

When we are talking about a faucet single claim, this is my only one time experience and that was on freebitco.in.

IIRC I hit the tier 4 or 5 and the amount is 70,000 satoshis. That was when the price of bitcoin was around $22-250 if Im not mistaken.
10895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gamblers Gamble? on: July 25, 2016, 04:06:23 PM
I'm trying to analyze behavioral trends on gamblers. Does anyone have a source to compare mass amounts of data from moneypot or other sites? Or do you have some evidence?

Basically, what I'm trying to figure out is:

1) Do people gamble with odds that are above or below 50/50?
2) How do people respond to large losses (in the event of conservative betting) or large wins (in the opposite event)

1) I will just state my case when it terms on sportsbetting since I mostly played this than the usual house edge games. When it comes to sportsbetting, everything above @1.8 is fine.

2) Depends again on that person as every gambler has different point of view on how will they respond in their losses. Again in my case, Im doing martingale in sports betting. No way you can hit the lossing streak for at least above 5 consecutive loss. If that's the case then better stay away from gambling now lol.
10896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Random guy asks you about this internet money BITCOIN on: July 24, 2016, 12:39:31 PM

...a simple look it up online won't do, because that's not interesting enough to read a lot of boring stuff online.

Tell him to overcome that and it will good to go.

A person that really want to know more about bitcoin, will seek information by themselves.
10897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Off-Season on: July 23, 2016, 11:36:27 AM
Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks have finalized his new contract worth $50 million over two seasons. The deal contains $30 million in guaranteed money and a team option for Year 2 if he decides to play in the 17-18 season.

Yes Cuban add some nice dollars to the recent deal lately, (which also I posted here).

Now looking forward for another revamp with this team.

Will keeping again my long time hashtag lol.

10898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the easiest sport to win bets at? on: July 23, 2016, 11:31:22 AM
I have tried betting on basketball, the NFL, soccer and baseball with mixed results. I am curious which sport has made you a consistent winner in sports bets. And why do you think you're a winner in that sport? Are some sports easier to handicap than others?

Choose what sports you really have knowledge since it will help you to make a good bet. You can make a good analyzation too if you know well that sports especially if you are betting on it's respective league.

Im only betting on sports betting especially in NBA and in our local league, PBA and right now my stats are good.
10899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pokemon GO and Bitcoin would be a killer combo on: July 23, 2016, 11:25:02 AM
Do you mean like Pokemon GO Bitcoin version? Well, that actually could be done but will need a lot of funds.
But oddly, that game is feared by some people in my country, even the government. They're afraid because there are so many accident cases are concerned with this game, I don't know what they think, this is just stupid.

I think he meant for integration of bitcoin to the game itself that's why I state that it won't happen for some many factors.

The only solution for that is a serious developer that will developed a bitcoin game with the same feature.
10900  Other / Off-topic / Re: What to do with my signature campaign earnings ? on: July 23, 2016, 11:21:21 AM
Right now i am earning close to 0.01btc per weak with my signature campaign but i just dont know what to do with them.I want to grow them and reach a good amount of btc but only collecting will take a long time to reach a good amount. So i start to gamble with them and till now since 3-4 weaks i have lost all my signature campaing earnings.I win at the start but i become greedy and gamble more and then lost them.
So i decided not to gamble with them can any one tell me what are the other options which i can do with my earnings.

Enjoy and use it on whatever you want. It's your coins after all. While spending you will then realize where you really want to put it.

You can consider all of advices here but it's still better if you find the right thing to do from your own preferences.
