I think a dedicated "Bitcoin store" is a bit too much, but you can definitely incorporate this in a currency exchange store without much problems if the government isn't hitting on Bitcoin usage for its companies.

It's an interesting idea. It would definitely be a gamble. It would prolly depend on the product(s) being sold and if it was a significant value using bitcoin.

We already have bitcoin stores online: Coinbase, Circle, BTC-e, Bitfinex e.t.c people can buy and sell bitcoins from the comfort of their homes without having to go to a physical store.

Maybe these online shops need to advertise their services on billboards...

Do these shops provide any other services? Buying/selling BTC only doesn't sound like a robust business model.

It would be perfect if all the 'money shops' (where you can exchange currency, cash cheques, sometimes buy/sell gold etc) started trading BTC. Seems like a natural choice. Could work well especially at the airports where there's potentially a lot of people with some foreign currency cash left-overs which they could use to buy small amounts of bitcoins out of curiosity.

I dont think it would be feasible plus there would be a risk of bitcoin stealing  by employees or theifs.I think online shops would be better when it comes to bitcoin

I think it will not happen, because the account we can wear while there are us and when we are not there, then we leave the addres of btc and the barcode. Because by simply using a barcode or addres btc we can conduct transactions and employees can't commit fraud

Hi, while the online shops already have pretty big fees, the "offline" shops will also have to pay people to stay (sell) there. So I cannot see how the good price can be achieved.
But it's a nice idea as advertising, as increasing legitimacy and to allow people to also sell easier BTC, since right now in some countries the banks seem to block (and close accounts) the withdrawals from exchanges because they say it's "related to money laundering".

I guess what you mean is a physical bitcoin exchange,  even if it's in major cities i just don't think we have enough adoption to justify it.  I think by the time you paid all your fees for example rent, tax and electricity i think you'd find you would be making quite a large loss.  Maybe one day it would work but not yet.

What you are talking about is in general a local currency exchange.
These type of businesses died years ago.
You have online exchanges, apps you can buy and sell Bitcoin with, localbitcoins etc.Impossible to beat that businesses in terms of a good price when you have to rent a store for your idea.

What you are talking about is in general a local currency exchange.
These type of businesses died years ago.
You have online exchanges, apps you can buy and sell Bitcoin with, localbitcoins etc.Impossible to beat that businesses in terms of a good price when you have to rent a store for your idea.

Maybe rather than a store just put more Bitcoin atms in large cities as this is likely to be much less expensive and still gives people the option to buy bitcoins without having to sign up on any website as one of the main features of Bitcoin is to stay anonymous.

making profits from your home via localbitcoins.com is only nets you 1-5%..

no one would want to go to a place and pay a premium above 5%. yet the azteco shop required building rent, electricity, internet connections, business tax, etc etc. so all of this will eat into your profits.

also unlike other shops that sell over 100 products, meaning 100 DIFFERENT chances to get 100x more different customers wanting different things. azteco only sold one product (bitcoin). which means demand and popularity is low.

after all out of 7 billion people there are only a couple million people that use/want bitcoin.. so its not exactly as popular as toilet paper

Well I don't think it is a good Idea at this time because bitcoin is not being used for buy sell other things. so buying selling bitcoin psychically won't works.. because bitcoin is a digital currency. everyone want to use bitcoin he must have to be able to use computer and Internet. and if someone want to use bitcoin he can buy bitcoin through the web as well with the help of his online banking.

for example: you need some bitcoin for buy something through online. you'll go to a shop like you are talking and he write a cheque or use credit card and buy some bitcoins and come again to home and use these bitcoin.. there is no logic even you can buy bitcoin setting your home and using credit card.

the Idea would be good but first bitcoin need to be more viral and need to be used for buying selling other things. when people can use bitcoin to buy sell goods, foods, clothes, and lands then they may buy bitcoin too in psychical stores.

Here in the Philippines we got a bitcoin shop but it is only available to us online. We use the web wallet coins.ph to convert our bitcoin into Philippine Peso and they send it to use via money senders available here in the Philippines. Even if they are not available physically their services are very convenient for us Filipinos.

It would be much easier to make Bitcoin ATMs and convert to cash before paying.
BTC will probably stay an online currency for now.
Most people aren't willing to ship the goods until they get some transaction confirmations, which is only appropriate for the internet right now.

Not a very interesting idea if you want my opinion,this is just another exchanger it will not harm anyone but lets be honest we don't really need it we already have so many online exchangers and bitcoin atms.The shop you are talking about needs to offer something original in order to survive and succed and your idea is not something new.

what's this like a money exchanger for btc? not a bad idea mate, the intention is when you are not in your country and you only have computer and you can just go your web wallet and you can get your money to be use on that particular big cities i like that mate personally. good luck.
