10961  Economy / Reputation / Re: Fraud Alert: Translator dserrano11 on: November 13, 2017, 05:43:53 PM
And he's a serious shitposter in the English language section--his posts are generic and vapid and English is obviously not his native tongue, definitely not enough knowledge of it to do a translation without Google.   Drives me nuts.

Did he actually get paid for any of these shitty translation jobs?  Seems like whoever hired him ought to be a little more selective.   Good you called attention to him here.  I have no way to evaluate the quality, else I'd give him a neg.

These translation bounty wars would be amusing if they weren't so sad--and annoying.  Why people think they're going to get away with this crap unchallenged is beyond me.
10962  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forums stand in regards to users that have free Tx accelerators threads on: November 13, 2017, 06:45:37 AM
Yeah, it's those fat thumbs trying to copy paste a sig code on an ancient smartphone.   Lol

I say I suspect him of trust farming, but it's just that, a suspicion based on the trust he has, just like his suspicion of me trust farming is based on...who knows.

Some guy from Asia asked me to leave him feedback after he accelerated a tx for me, and that's probably why he was doing it in the first place.  I gave him a neutral.

Doing something that's a free service and asking for a "tip"--that's shady IMO.  This guy will never see that, though.
10963  Economy / Reputation / Re: Forums stand in regards to users that have free Tx accelerators threads on: November 13, 2017, 06:20:27 AM
I would bet that this guy also asks for feedback to be left after he accelerates a transaction--am I right?   I'd like to hear from someone who's used his scammy service.   Because looking at his trust page, I'm overcome with the stench of trust farming.  I could be wrong, but I suspect I'm not.

There was another person doing this exact thing not too long ago if I'm not mistaken.  It is most definitely taking advantage of people's ignorance, which is how grandmothers across the world get scammed every day.  That's how they do it, and it's sad.  I see a lot of rationalizations and dodging from him, which are also characteristics of lowlife scammers.

10965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost a $15 fee for a $29 transaction! on: November 13, 2017, 02:45:38 AM
No kidding!

I had 3 transactions stuck in the network.  I use Mycelium, and I hit the "bump fee" button just to see how much it would take:  $42 they wanted to bump the fee, and there's no way to customize it!

Luckily two of those transactions went through, finally.  The 3rd one I suspect is going to take another day at least.  As I wrote in another thread, one of the three was a purchase that won't get shipped until they get one confirmation.  This is why bitcoin generally sucks as a currency.  Still love it as an investment, though.

I hate selling bitcoin or buying stuff with it.  It leaves me with a cold, empty feeling inside that I detest.

Is there even a guarantee the bump fee would push it through that much faster? Holy crap! Times like these where you don't want to move it at all
I don't think there's a guarantee.  I'd like the option of just bumping the fee a little--being able to completely set the fee to your liking would be a real plus on that wallet, but I suspect that option is not to be.

My eyes almost popped out of my head when I saw that.  The amount of the transaction itself was about $200 worth, so bumping for $40 on top of paying something like $6 initially--that's insane, and there's no way I'd do it.

Obviously he may have to correct a few ratings, but IMO most of his are very good ratings.
I'm open to suggestions.  I realize I've gone crazy with the reddening agent, but I'll listen to advice.

10968  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing faith in BTC... on: November 13, 2017, 12:49:22 AM
Nah.  Bitcoin has been infested with these sorts of dramas since its inception.

I am getting a little annoyed that I've got 3 transactions stuck in the blockchain, and it's beginning to feel like they're never going to get accepted.  And one of those is a purchase that won't get shipped until after the 1st confirmation.  That absolutely sucks, and I would have preferred to buy the item with doge or some other altcoin that doesn't have a mining war in progress and with a fee and confirmation time that's reasonable.  But no, my faith is not shaken.  I'm actually glad now that I sold all the bitcoin I had.  The uncertainty is a bitch, but we'll get through it.
10969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake signature campaign by Nizar93 on: November 13, 2017, 12:35:56 AM
Well, resolving such issues is always a good thing but the reason I've posted the tx link is that my address is among the recipients: 12Dnrcd5vjnSYCBy2E3xdzhbVv1P2vy1eS
So I'm still trying to understand the logic of this scam.
Beats me, but my address is not on that list--so I got scammed.  Hence this thread.
10970  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake signature campaign by Nizar93 on: November 13, 2017, 12:17:31 AM
Well, it seems like this guy cancelled the campaigh asap so I'm trying to calculate your loses (whether it can be the time that you lost for applying or anything else) because you've already spent more time complaining than you spent for applying. I did not compared his english but the campaign post was suspicious:
1. There was only 1 sig code for all ranks
2. Campaign manager said something like "pm me and get accepted or go fuck yourself" (the words are not exactly the same but they are pretty close).
3. No extra rules about posting.
Maybe I've missed something but the campaign ann looked like garbage from the very begining and upfront payment was the only good thing. I still can't understand why he created a shitty campaign, payed partly and then cancelled it. I see no sense here.
Anyway scam happened so thats your right to complain.
You should be glad someone is opening a scam accusation.  If no one did these things, scammers would pull off their scams with impunity.  Call it complaining, but I think it should be done.  And I don't believe any bitcoin was sent to the participants.  I think that was a sham transaction, and I would advise people not to fall for that kind of bullshit.
10971  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake signature campaign by Nizar93 on: November 12, 2017, 11:52:56 PM
The worst type of scammer. Payed for a fake campaign and disappeared. Abolutely pathetic!  Cheesy
As I already posted at the previous thread here is the tx where some of the applicants were payed upfront: https://blockchain.info/en/tx/473c2db446a78c42273464a427ccf74ce475974edd773fac2aa8c970a879ce2e
There is too many strange things around this thread but i think there is a chance that this guy was realy hacked (he realy payed over 200$ and said that the campaign is a scam, wtf?). Imho ofc thats your right but you butthurt too much about the time you've spent for applying for it.
I have no doubt those recipients were part of the scam.  I have little doubt that Nizar93 wasn't, in fact, hacked.  And if he was, he deserves the neg for not stopping this sooner.  Don't let the change in English quality fool you.  That's part of the scam, and if you believe that just because the offer was made in relatively good English, you're a sucker.  You don't think he could have had someone else post for him?
10972  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNIIING TOR PROJECT SCAM ... HACK MY ACCOUNT AND MAKE A THREAD SCAM BOUNTY on: November 12, 2017, 11:31:07 PM

That's it, speak up boys.  Or maybe we all should just wait for the payment.  LOL
10973  Economy / Scam Accusations / Fake signature campaign by Nizar93 on: November 12, 2017, 10:41:13 PM
What happened:: Nizar93 started up a thread in the Services section, looking for participants in a 4-day signature campaign, with all participants to be paid in advance.  I PM'ed him stating my interest, and he replied saying I was accepted, and he gave me the code as well.  His original posts have been deleted, but he stated in the thread that all participants were going to get paid within the hour.  Needless to say, this didn't happen.

Additional Notes: Then after whatever participants had worn the code, he claims he was hacked.  Very convenient.  I call bullshit and say he's a liar.  I've tagged him accordingly and would beseech DT members to apply the spraypaint gangbang if they deem my claim to be valid.

If you look at the thread, you'll see a user RealSwissMiner who claims he got paid.  I believe that's also a sham, because I'm pretty sure no one got paid for this scam.  I didn't lose anything but my signature space for less than a day, but I think this needs to be called out.  It's a scam and wastes everybody's time.  Should have known better!

Tagged for now, also gonna tag the swiss guy. Obviously if the account was hacked then there's no way the swiss acct is telling the truth, and if he wasn't hacked then more would be able to prove they were paid
As always you rock, Yahoo62278!

Can't speak English.   Account gets banned.

*Who, me???*

This is a pattern that's been worn thin.  I assume it's copy pasting, just like most of these are.  Take a hike, you twats are ruining bitcointalk with your spam.

Edit:  Lol it was spamming.   Hopefully the ban is permanent.
10975  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNIIING TOR PROJECT SCAM ... HACK MY ACCOUNT AND MAKE A THREAD SCAM BOUNTY on: November 12, 2017, 06:14:26 PM
Bullshit, have a neg on me for wasting my time.

You all got scammed, just like I did, albeit just out of your signature space and only for a day.  This guy deserves a negative.   What are you monkeys waiting for?   I'll open a scam accusation thread when I get to a laptop.
10976  Other / Meta / Re: new trust system on: November 12, 2017, 05:55:06 AM
Yeah, and what's the prevalence rate?  You're so full of shit and are just looking for sympathy.

Hence the negative trust from hilariousandco.
10977  Economy / Reputation / Re: Lauda gives abusive negative trust on: November 12, 2017, 05:48:22 AM
YOU'RE A OP ACT LIKE ONE!
You have no idea what you're writing.   Literally.   That's why you don't belong here, and if a trust rating affects your real life then you're in the wrong line of work and really, really don't belong here.
10978  Other / Meta / Re: new trust system on: November 12, 2017, 05:44:46 AM
Of course you believe all of that.  You got negged with good reason by a member of DT.

Sorry to say, you're not going to change the trust system here to suit your needs.  You messed up and now you have to live with the consequences--and people who fuck up often don't get to modify the consequences so that they're soft & fluffy.  That's not how life works, and it's not how the trust system here is going to work.  Live with your mistake and the scarlet letter that came along with it.

Edit:  Freaking Philippines.  You go from suicidal ideation to wanting to manipulate the trust system to no end because you got a neg.  Guaranteed you're a borderline personality disorder patient.  Good luck in life.

nope I'm not borderline.
I have been diagnosed with multiple personality disorder.
That's only because your doctor went to a degree mill school and hasn't learned yet that MPD doesn't even exist.   Or at least you have more of a chance of bumping into an MPD person than getting struck by lightning avagadro's # of times in a row.  But hey, we needmore mental illness here on bct.  Just don't mistake sympathy for someone trying to increase their post count.   Those two things can be deceptively similar.
10979  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Tomorrow is my last day on this Earth on: November 12, 2017, 05:37:01 AM
Hello,

I can't anymore fight against the site 1XBIT.COM.

They stole me about $ 15,000.

Here the original discussion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2160655

With other debts I have I can not live, these $ 15,000 could have revived me in life but 1XBIT broke me completely.

Tomorrow I'm going to kill myself, and everyone does not care.

Do not make the same mistakes as me please.

Try to enjoy your life

Bye
Half of my remaining hours I will spent with my loving wife. Part of my remaining hours i will spent approaching, if not all, persons that i had grudge with and try to make peace with them. The remeining hours i will spent talking to god and ask for forgiveness so that i may die in peace.
You'd better stop wasting time on bitcointalk then.  Sounds like you have a lot of prep work to do.  Bon voyage, bro.
10980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'M GETTING REALLY ANGRY! WTF is happening with this BTC/BCH crap! on: November 12, 2017, 05:31:04 AM
To paraphrase Jesse Livermore: Fear, greed, and hope are a trader's worst enemies.

Sounds like OP has too much emotion going on here.  If you're getting pissed off, losing sleep, whatever--maybe you should take a step back and reevaluate your plan.   Bitcoin has been through much worse than this and I wouldn't fret.  If you didn't sell, then your losses are only on paper so far.  You only lose money when you sell.

*sigh*  I just sold a bunch of bitcoin out of necessity.  If only I had the dough I'd be buying right now.
