SCAM ALERT:

User dserrano11, who pretends to be a Vietnamese translator, is in fact a fraud. He has repeatedly submitted Google Translate-generated texts in order to receive translation bounties.

The evidence for this claim can be found below.

Unfortunately, there are many more examples.

TO ALL OTHER TRANSLATORS:

Be aware that as long as dserrano11 is listed on any bounty spreadsheet, he is stealing a portion of your stakes.

And he's a serious shitposter in the English language section--his posts are generic and vapid and English is obviously not his native tongue, definitely not enough knowledge of it to do a translation without Google.   Drives me nuts.

Did he actually get paid for any of these shitty translation jobs?  Seems like whoever hired him ought to be a little more selective.   Good you called attention to him here.  I have no way to evaluate the quality, else I'd give him a neg.

These translation bounty wars would be amusing if they weren't so sad--and annoying.  Why people think they're going to get away with this crap unchallenged is beyond me.

Bounty wars! So many sequels...

It is annoying but maybe, hopefully it will help keep scammers away. A dream? Perhaps. Not much wrong in pursuing it though.

I concur.

It is hard to say accurately without wasting too much time on him. However, that is likely.

Vietnamese are the new greedy shitposting Filipinos on this forum and will do anything for a dollar or two even if that means cheating. I locked their local thread because 95% of it was just irrelevant off topic copy and pastes from google by account farmers making 15-20 posts all in a row. The other 5% were just people chatting barely coherent crap. Half of them were getting paid by Sylon to copy and paste on yet another of his badly run campaigns as well. If he had even spent a minute looking into them he would have spotted they were making 20 posts in a row but that's too much work for him.

I admit that this guy used Google Translate to translate these ANN but I'm wondering that if there is only one way to translate any words or sentences from English to Vietnamese so if I translate it the same with Google Translate that mean I use Google translate to translate it?

For example:

Hello = Xin chào (in Vietnamese)
Nice to meet you = Rất vui được gặp bạn (in Vietnamese)

and it's the only way to translate this word and sentence from English to Vietnamese and you'll get the same result when you use Google Translate to translate it. So that mean I used Google translate to translate it or not?? Of course this is not all, there are thousands words and sentences are the same with these examples.

So I think use Diffchecker to check anyone used Google Translate to cheat altcoin translation bounty campaign is unfair.

I'm just a newbie in here and I just wanna share my opinion.

I don't have any relationship with "dserrano11" except I'm living in the same country with him Smiley

If you haven't noticed, google translate has this feature which you can submit a correct translation of that particular text then they will validate it. Another thing, common sentences are most likely to have a correct translation. By using google translate, it will not guarantee a good translation because, if you'll read it, it sounds "awkward" and, in most cases, grammatically incorrect.
So I think use Diffchecker to check anyone used Google Translate to cheat altcoin translation bounty campaign is unfair.
Cheating is always unfair -- never had it became fair, ever.

Lol he messaged me earlier:

Hello sir,
I'm a Vietnamese translator.
So
Can i post ANN and Bounty thread in  Other languages/locations ?

"I NOT SPAM"

Not sure what he doesn't get when I say it's not even allowed in the first place.

Campaigns don't care. They pay people in money they've created for free. I think there should be some sort of verified list of translators though because scammers are just getting away with this far too easy with no sorts of checks. It's probably first come first served and the cheapest will often get the contract and when you buy cheap you usually get what you pay for.
