10981  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Russian central bank to ban websites offering cryptocurrencies on: October 10, 2017, 02:37:07 PM
That's their loss. Surely Russia of all people will understand the pointlessness of trying to ban websites. Unless they're prepared to invest in high tech software and a lot of programmers who must work round the clock to actively block nodes and tunnelling, blacklist DNSs and monitor internet traffic, they're going to have a hard time blocking citizens from a huge part of the internet. And with so much Russian interests behind cryptos and ICOs, you can be sure they'll find ways to access.

Putin would be miffed at the central bank for sure.
10982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins should you HODL? on: October 10, 2017, 01:24:04 PM
The whole point of diversification is to spread your risk, so on that strategy alone, you're doing well. However, it's important to identify two things. Your goals and the risk you're willing to take. Spreading out to 11 alts all worth 1 satoshi is not the same as spreading out to 11 alts based on market research, due diligence and profit goals.

Basket should always be heavier on the stable alts with long term potential, and lighter towards those riskier ones which might tank but might also bring short term big gains.
10983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LATEST: Update on AUTHORSHIP (ATS) [NEWEST!!! OCTOBER 5, 2017] on: October 10, 2017, 11:06:36 AM
Thank you for this update Nikko, I think many of us appreciate that you put yourself out there and I think it was quite dishonourable for ATS to respond to you like that. Aside from the insinuations, they have to recognize that you had a right to ask, and they have a responsibility to reply in a courteous manner. We all understand the huge pressure on devs but hey, you just raked in millions, deal with the pressure.

I was one who did not receive and won't waste my time further. It was only 75 ATS and I really dislike the fact that I was considered a cheater (since I didn't get it) when it is only for 75 tokens? Sorry but I earn more even with a simple post that takes half the time it took to sign up for their spam.
10984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crowdholding. Any thoughts? on: October 10, 2017, 08:48:43 AM
Well, at least everything fits well into one infographic table, which is a lot more than what I can say for other ICOs that should be able to do the same. But what is seems to me is that apart from funding and holding as a crowd, the decision making seems to be still centralized. Or is this a democratic way of choosing what to invest in? Because 2 scenarios here. One, it is centralized. Then you are trusting someone to call for you. Two, it is all decentralized, then you might as well just invest and hold on your own and save fees and save trusting people.
10985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO in October on: October 10, 2017, 06:54:27 AM
Ian Balina ( twitter.com/DiaryofaMadeMan ) maked poll for best ICO of October to review by him. And Pally ICO won!  So, 15th October will be the fastes ICO of this year Smiley
Proof:

Buy in ICO, or cry later Smiley

You do realise that a poll just means anyone can vote, and possibly vote more than once with multiple accounts right? They just want him to review Pally ICO and I'll be honest here. I'd never heard of it until I came to this thread. Granted, that doesn't mean it's a bad ICO but if we're to just buy into an ICO on FOMO and to avoid crying later, then we might as well dump money into any ICO that wins a poll.

Pally looks cute. But it is one of those that creates a problem to solve, rather than solve an existing problem. Decentralized social travel? Come on... there's no such thing as centralized social travel. Who on earth travels and meets people if they can't do it on their own anyway?
10986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ARK will be as big as ETH and NEO on: October 10, 2017, 05:40:05 AM
Data Dash posted this earlier,  he has been the most accurate youtuber,  hence why his channel has grown to 62k subs in no time.

TRADE ALERT: Just bought a massive amount of ark (3rd largest altcoin position I'm holding)

This is a long term holding, not a trade. As I stated in my top five video, this is gonna be massive going into 2018. It's up there with NEO and ETH in my opinion. (From datadash alert)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2hJjMb4N7nw

there are many icos in big scale in line...be careful...it may reach 3x or 5x by min next year not much

Ark? I have some but I don't expect it to be anything incredibly big, it just happens to be part of my alt diversification strategy. I mean, the product idea is decent, but do I really believe millions will start using its interplanetary-scale blockchain database (among others)? No, maybe not in 2018 anyway. But hell, if it becomes even double the price in 2018, I'll be over the moon.

And since when did reaching 3x or 5x become "not much"?
10987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New Waves roadmap on: October 09, 2017, 07:15:01 PM
Waves will only rise when they stop manipulating the prices. Every time it goes above 5 bucks the price gets pushed back down again. I guess there are many whales here doing price control

Nah, actually WAVES is one of the few "big" alts that doesn't seem to have the devs trying to manipulate the market. This current dip is just the pattern that all the alts seem to be following now. To me, the evidence is from all the "big news" about WAVES that haven't done anything to boost the price. If you notice, their calls on development, the Burger King move, all these did nothing to push the price up. For me, that's a good thing and a reason why WAVES will push hard when it finally does!
10988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best ICO for October on: October 09, 2017, 06:51:34 PM
Two ICOs have caught my attention. UTRUST is one, though technically it has moved the ICO to November. And TriForce Tokens is the other. For me, they stand out because of a lot of background work with the European authorities in their respective industries. UTRUST with financial regulators in Switzerland. They want to be a compliant ICO. TriForce with regulators and trade association in UK. They also want to be a compliant ICO. Both are also registered companies you can look up. Not those shady offshore addresses.
10989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ico with small marketcap on: October 09, 2017, 06:09:33 PM
You know how to find this easily? Scroll through the Altcoin announcement sections, up to page 5-10. Visit all the ICO pages, and then look them up on coinmarketcap or similar sites. I can almost guarantee you half will fit the conditions you are looking for. Clues are usually those with fewer posts. The farther down you dig, the more likely you are to find those whose ICOs are over and then you'll get accurate conditions.

Caution though. This doesn't mean they're any good!
10990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zencash: Excellent potential? on: October 09, 2017, 10:45:21 AM
Zencash. Wish I'd gotten on that boat earlier. I made the wrong choice for an anon coin (well wrong for now at least) and saw ZCash just zoom by. It is probably still a good buy now but at the price, I don't feel like I would want to own less than one coin. It's already made its huge gains like Dash, but definitely has a lot of room to grow into 2018. If it's still hovering at current price by January, it's worth another look.
10991  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When are Altcoins going to properly recover???? on: October 09, 2017, 09:47:15 AM
It seems with the BCH fork, BTC's run up to 5k dollars, now more forks for Bitcoin most Altcoins have been in a downward trend, or certainly the ones I'm holding!?

When will the prices recover back to June highs? I'm hoping there will be a decent upside once BTC stabilises after this fork nonsense.

Although I'm debating whether to convert into BTC and re-buy after, but this could prove risky. It's just with all this new competition from recently launched ICO's and new coins I'm skeptical some of the older coins will reach there previous highs.

What are your thoughts on the Altcoins you're HODLING? Are you selling or accumulating still?

The good thing about expecting volatility towards a down trend now is that, should prices somehow go up, and the unexpected bull ploughs through the 5k mark, all the terribly losing alts I'm holding right now will recover. I'm going to liquidate at least half of my alt positions should they even come to break even, and then hold the rest for 2018/19. I'm just too frazzled now from daily checking and trading and swinging between profit and loss too often.

Accumulating IS a possibility if they drop even more to 50% red.
10992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: is it good time to invest on DGB and Sia coin,Burst coin, waves,NEM on: October 09, 2017, 08:43:32 AM
why it will dump till oct 25th
because traders will dumped their alts and will steak with btc to have a free btc gold I guess look at the exchange right now and see the drama inside the trades
most alts are being dumped if I wear you I will wait for the dip before buying those coins if you are willing to invest, I'm with you holding those coins mate just need to make a good timing to have a big profits.

Wow, I got in some of these coins less than a week ago, thinking they were already so low but boy was I wrong. Now bleeding more than 10% on almost every alt I got, and we're not even at the 25th October dumping phase yet! Expensive little flirtation I made, should have just held my BTC. Now I lose BTC and will be able to claim less Bitcoin gold. You think you can learn some wisdom from past mistakes, eh? But it keeps biting you back if you don't pay attention.
10993  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 ICO ANNOUNCE 15 AUG 2017! JOIN THE TRANSFORMATION! 🎰🎰🎰 on: October 09, 2017, 08:25:02 AM
alex is fucking the site, dont wanna pay if players win, I deposited and when i win , he dont allow any withdrawal,  started yesterday not paying....

For a newbie you seem to know a lot about Alex, but act like you've never gambled before. If you want to post such an accusation, you should back it up with evidence.

Where are your bet IDs? Where are your screenshots proving that withdrawals are not allowed? Where are your deposit transaction IDs?

Every time there's a whiner complaining without providing evidence, everyone here assumes it's not legitimate. Want us to take you seriously? Don't act like a playground boy crying for attention.
10994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin do you invest? (BTC vs ETH vs BCC vs LTC) on: October 08, 2017, 09:46:09 PM
Bitcoin is king, no matter how you want to argue about it. It is the most recognised and most traded and has the most use. Proof? All the alts in your list go up and down according to BTC price.

But, because diversification is the rule of investment, it would be wise also to put some of your baskets in alts. ETH and LTC are good in my opinion. BCC is just an excuse for mining profit.
10995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves future on: October 08, 2017, 01:57:40 PM
Waves certainly have a shining future..the platform is growing and the people are starting to use it.
It's the faster blockchain existing at the moment with the fastest algorithm.
Tokens/Assets are already available and tradable on their dex.
I won't be surprised to see it rise in 2018. Cool

p.s. If you really want to invest your time and money in a coin with a brilliant future and a strong community
you should take a look at this link :
www.deeponion.org

I think a lot of alts can argue to be the same: fastest blockchain, fastest algorithm, even a dex. But that alone may not be enough to ensure its viability. WAVES also has other unique features that are not immediately recognizable. Its development has seldom focused on price, for example. And its GUI, tell me there is any that is easier to use? There isn't:) And yet they're even working to improve it!

WAVES price may not look strong now. But it is pretty pretty Wink
10996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Medium Articel about REX - Why it could be a very good investment on: October 07, 2017, 03:15:11 PM
Thank you for the article, interesting read but still not convincing to me. So many real estate coins out there I find it hard to believe that there are so many actual real estate business people who want to diversify into crypto. I am not saying these are outright scams of course, I just feel that this is a specialised industry with a lot of necessary on the ground experience. Something crypto devs do not have to be frank.

The industry is crooked and highly linked to politics and finance. I have a feeling these projects will be battered by their lack of experience.
10997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Looking for alt coins at 1 satoshi with high potential of being big on: October 07, 2017, 02:13:39 PM
This is truly the equivalent of looking for a needle in a cryptocurrency haystack!

If you were to ask me, I would say it is just hit and miss for a 1 satoshi token or alt. BUT I have seen that 1337coin has the highest potential. It is still 1 satoshi but can see sometimes people are offering to buy it for even 2 satoshi. This is a good coin because faucets still give plenty out, the staking is pretty decent, and you can even earn it from doing those cloud folding projects now.
10998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEO - long term hold on: October 07, 2017, 01:43:13 PM
If you're only looking to invest a couple of hundred dollars and just earning gas while holding for months (or years), then I'd say there are few worse wallets than the web wallet. It's secure enough, you have your own private keys. If the worst happens and the wallet dies, you can always resurrect it at another wallet. NEO would never allow that to happen anyway, unless NEO dies, in which case it's pointless for you to try keep your coins.

But if you're talking about a lot of money, I'd be safe and go for a wallet on your device.
10999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone care about Bitcoin Gold or is it just Seqwit 2x?? on: October 07, 2017, 11:06:19 AM
There's really no reason to think Bitcoin Gold will follow the same fate as Bitcoin Cash, AT BEST. At least Bitcoin Cash had a lot of powerful miners opening an exchange for BCC. If Bitcoin Gold wants to even build up enough hype to want people to hold, they will have to do a lot better at their promotions of their goal and vision for this new alt. Another thiing to watch out for will be whether or not sites and exchanges will offer the same as they did for Bitcoin Cash. I believe most of them will simply ignore this new fork. If that's going to be the case, it can forget reaching BCC prices.
11000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ebtc, Eltc, Edash, Eripple, Ebcash....You ready for the E cryptos?? on: October 07, 2017, 09:02:30 AM
I said yesterday on one of the eLTC forums that is the dawn of a new type of crypto currency. And it will be. eBTC started it. There are now 2 eLTC tokens offering airdrops! And now I have just heard about eDash. Expect eNeo, eNEM, eRipple to follow in the next 4 weeks
Die hards fans of the originals of these coins will hate them. Die hard fans of eBTC will hate these others and dismiss them as copycats. I don't think the eCurrencies will ever overtake the originals or take away volume from them. Expect short term hype. Right now eCurrencies are the hot new fad but interest in them will die off. Also expect eBitcoinCash and eBitcoinGold!

All right, this is completely new to me. What exactly are these e-cryptos? The e shouldn't stand for electronic, since that would be pretty redundant for crypto. I've actually signed up for a couple of airdrops this week but so far wasn't particularly interested in all of these now that they are cropping up. I'd say they were just the same group of people pumping out tokens for every single coin in existence. Go ahead and prove me wrong, though. Would love for my two airdrops to amount to something:)
