1113  Other / Meta / Re: (Suggestion) New sub-forum for novelty coins on: December 26, 2013, 10:37:50 PM
It's time create Altcoin-Subforum for "Giveaways".
Even for in altcoins interested people its impossible to read, because of 100.000 giveaway-threads.

I second that.  Maybe another subforum for Altcoin services too.
1114  Other / Meta / Re: More default avatars? on: December 26, 2013, 10:35:23 PM
This would be a good idea, it would reduce the number of people creating new threads in Meta asking how to change their avatar.  I think anyone who creates a new thread on avatars should have theirs changed to Rick Astley or Justin Bieber  Tongue

Lol, great idea!  Cheesy Cheesy
1115  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does Satoshi Dice Work? on: December 26, 2013, 10:31:11 PM
what does Satoshi Dice mean? I'm new here and I don't know much about these things so can someone explain it ?

Satoshi dice is a site in which users can send bitcoins to a specific address which corresponds to a bet (e.g. 50/50, 33%, etc)

If you win, Satoshi Dice will send back your bet plus your winnings.
1116  Other / Off-topic / Re: NSA payed RSA to install faulty backdoor encryption on: December 26, 2013, 10:29:47 PM
Is this true?
1117  Other / Off-topic / Re: How does Satoshi Dice Work? on: December 26, 2013, 10:26:24 PM
Proper coding does wonders Wink

It's all automation. Linux is powerful.

how?
1118  Other / Meta / Re: "Giveaway only accounts"/Sockpuppets on: December 26, 2013, 10:24:51 PM
I don't even think it's profitable to just post for givaways and stuff.

It could be very profitable. If you're willing to put in the work and have a handful of accounts posting with signature deals you could earn a decent wage. Look at all the coins that get given away in their infancy; if you hold on to them they might be worth something.

hmm...  50 posts with primedice is 0.03 BTC I believe.
0.03 BTC ~ $20

It takes about 1.5 min * 50 = 75 minutes for $20

75 minutes is 1.25 hours which means that posting is about $16 an hour.

That's an OK wage, not too bad but not too much either for just posting

Do you mean botting ? or are you asking how the site runs it ?  Huh

How the site runs it.

I've tried botting  Smiley
1120  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: How to create a coin-flip type address? on: December 26, 2013, 10:20:04 PM
This isn't doable with an address alone, but is easily doable following the same model as most bitcoin-accepting services.

You simply run an instance of bitcoind on your server, and once a transaction comes in, pick true or false in a provably random and fair manner, and send back either nothing or double the amount.

How do I automate the process though?
