People are not animals! Thus, you can't use the same logic on people that you might use on animals.

Smiley

Then what are they? Plants? Bacteria? Fungi?

Was I really supposed to answer?

People are people a.k.a. human beings. They are greater than the animals, not as powerful as the angels, creatures that God made, and creatures, the only kind of which God came to as one of... in His form as Jesus, the Christ.

Smiley

Biologically, an animal is defined as an organism with animal cells. Like humans.

Is a checker board a chess board? Is a chess board a checker board? If it is set up for checkers, isn't it a checker board? If it is set up for chess, isn't it a chess board? If it is set up for neither, it isn't an animal or a person. It is just some biology.

Smiley

Was that a legitimate statement? Or are you trying to mess with me?

Today I was eating pizza, and a bee attacked my box, and it just would not go away. So annoying.

Hate is easier to produce than love. Hate requires words fueled by pure emotion. Love requires understanding and commitment.

We as a society will not respect the rights of animals because we don't recognize human rights properly yet.

True. But what are animal rights? Aren't animal rights in the wild simply the way animals instinctively act under whatever circumstances they find themselves in, according to their nature? And in captivity, aren't animal rights completely subservient to their owners' authority in every way?

A merciful owner has mercy on his animals, and even love for them. If he eats them, he kills them swiftly so that they feel little pain.

If a society restricts its members from eating animals or treating their animal property how they want, it is a society of slavery among people. In a land of freedom, people have right to do with their animal property and other property as they desire. It is when people do NOT have freedom to do with their animal property what they want, that people are like animals before their society or government.

Since society and government are made up of people, what gives them the right to decide how other people should treat their own property?

Smiley

That's exactly what I go by. Kill animals swiftly so you can eat them.

Disclaimer: Human beings are animals.

Humans are not animals. When you look in Genesis, you find that God created the animals, but that He made man in His own image, including breathing the breath of life into man. Man and animals, though similar in may ways so that they can inhabit the same planet, are different.

Smiley

I was giving a biological definition

If that's all there was to people, it might work.   Smiley

What are you even talking about. What does Genesis have to do with all this

The problem with social media is that it combines the power of stupid people in large groups. I do see your point, everybody wants to be a victim now. Which is a real shame, because it usually involves one group of people trying to make another feel apologetic for what was done several years ago.
this is something i cant wrap my head around; what in hell are these people thinking to think they are entitled to special treatment over something their parents of ancestors of generations ago went through? LGBT groups were looked down upon for many years? true, that's a fact, but that does not mean you, who was born into today's generation, went through that suffering, nor does it entitle you to pity from everyone around you. your ancestors were slaves? that might be true too, but you werent one.

What truly matters is preventing the same mistakes being made again.

Sometimes, I look back at my posts and think about how intelligent I was back then, what happened?

Sometimes I consider my previous posts and think about how much the threads in here have clarified my thinking for myself, and the way to express such thinking.

Please pardon my ignorance, what is Donator Packs? and what financial value does it has?

A donator pack in a game is one that gives additional benefits in the game (eg extra energy, extended friends list, etc). In this case, it's referring to the game "Torn City". It does not have any financial value.

Ignorance. They know nothing about it and that allows people to fill the gaps in their knowledge with whatever bias they have. It's also true that all people hear about are Islamic terrorists. Obviously the jihadists represent a very small number of Muslims.

I agree with you. This is so true. People are usually unaware and in oblivion of what is going on. Most people are prejudicial and just assume what the whole community will be like by hearing about nonsense stereotypes which is really sad . The solution to this probblem is by education and respect and appreciation of other people's principles and cultures.

Unfortunately, education in America is being hijacked by a group of rich, right winged Catholic white supremacists, who want to teach creationism in science, remove sex-ed, and make mundane claims like how the founding fathers were Christian.

Nope, not all feminists are women. I'm a testament to that.

I believe in equal rights for both sexes, and I also acknowledge that there are inequalities that exist between the sexes, and that they need to be eradicated. However, I'm an advocate for civil liberties for women (and some men) in countries that really need feminism, like Saudi Arabia. America is going too far by encouraging women to abolish marriage as we know it, by nearly shaming them for falling in love, for wanting to pursue happiness with a male partner.
completely agree, and its a fact that inequalities exist, and as you pointed out, one of the most glaring examples is in the middle east, where the inequality exists as a cultural norm. and unfortunately, these cultures are predominant in their respective areas, and tradition is slow (incredibly slow) to die out.

when i referred to the loud minority in my post, i was thinking of the "feminists" over in the states that bleed of hypocrisy, shouting equality while they do the whole "kill all men" thing. my bad for taking a narrow view on the topic, but its becoming more and more noticeable in my area. guess i cant really say i have an impartial view on the topic as is.

I was banned from a feminist page on Facebook I really liked (and oh God, social media is completely responsible for devolving feminism into what it is today, it empowers teenagers believing they have a say in politics), because the post was something like "Men don't want feminism because they want to maintain their position of authority over their female counterparts", and I responded with "I don't think it's very fair to make such a generalized claim regarding every single male on the planet".

Their social media campaigns with the "#Notallmen" thing is a terrible excuse for justifying generalization. If you replaced the word "Men" in most their posts with "Jews" or "Black people", it would sound absolutely chauvinistic. Why then, is the double standard being allowed to be upheld, by so many famous celebrities? Oh, don't even get me started on that topic, with Kanye considering running for president *shudders*
lets face it; social media among other things have aided in dumbing down this generation to the point where people cannot even see the glaring hypocrisy of their own actions. everyone's got inconsistencies here and there, but some people take it to a whole another plane of existence.
not only are they hypocrites, theyve come to act entitled, using the argument that they are actively "oppressed" and "discriminated" against on a day to day basis. its getting ridiculous, and at this rate kanye as president might end up happening one day.
as for the double standards that come up, its just people acting entitled as fuck. they expect people to accept their statements while they themselves constantly interpret rules or anything else for the matter differently depending on whats more convenient for them at the time. i dont mind that people do this, people have always been stupid. what bothers me is that this trend is gradually becoming more and more common, maybe even accepted. safe to say at this rate, society is headed towards a gutter.

Kanye as president would be something like this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGUNPMPrxvA

Keep in mind that the movie was a satire of real events.

The problem with social media is that it combines the power of stupid people in large groups. I do see your point, everybody wants to be a victim now. Which is a real shame, because it usually involves one group of people trying to make another feel apologetic for what was done several years ago.
