How to check if I am on the right fork.
I'm using the latest version (1.0.1).
Current block is 9082 It seems that I was on the wrong fork. I did re-sync again few times. Is the current block on 9123? 9126 to be exact. |

It has indeed gone wayy out of the hand! it takes atleast 20 btcs for some exchanges which is atrocious! I'm with you on this and we need to take a stand! think i was trying with an outdated version of crypto++ and was missing a thing or two, nothing wrong with your source. As far as cryptsy , I would not send them a single satoshi to list a coin I refuse to do so for the coins I have developed and would suggest all serious developers and users/traders of cryptocurrency just take a stand and stop allowing exchanges to demand a bribe to list a coin. We are the customers and while they have a right to list what coins they please , this voting with the bribe of btc has gotten out of hand. I wish you success in the revival of the coin. The blockchain is getting there , pretty tall !! ok , i got the wallet to compile after a few tweaks,
going to take a while for the blockchain to download, then I will find my old wallet and see what shows up ....

You don't have to answer but just curious really..... also it looks like (working off memory here I have to dig up the old source code that is long gone from github) you took out the original stake modifier in kernel.cpp and added your own, this should not matter as they are just basically hardcoded checkpoints anyway, just curious if you did this why ?

I realize it is considered by many just another scryptcoin /clone whatever BUT I personally am a lot more inclined to support a coin that has kept running (Even on 3 wheels like this one did) on its own for a long time than one of these 2 day mine, ipo proof of stake x13 mutations I see the forums cluttered with here......
There is something to be said for 'paying your dues' and longevity, being around 6 months or a year or more should mean something in the world of cryptocurrency...... I think it does to some people but not enough....

Ok, recently downloaded your client, earlier today, used conf provided, been mining blocks solo, just checked pool and on solo I am on block 8886 whilst pool supernova is on block 8950. Grrr, hope I haven't lost all my solo mined coins then. Sorry about that mate , I hope that too let me know how it goes. Well I deleted the folder again, after backing up wallet.dat This time it seems to be on the same block as the pool, sadly, after moving wallet.dat back, it is now empty. Had mined 0.03 SHC2 coin, or so I thought. Oh well Oh really? Damn , so sad when did you update to the new wallet? Had not had a wallet previously, although as you know, been mining V1 since ages. Downloaded V2 today, a few hours ago, as thought I would give this v2 a go at mining so downloaded version from your front page. Client version v1.0.1.0-Watson Made conf file, changing username and password, but everything else was the same. Waited for Wallet to sync up and started to mine. Was when I saw the previous post about someone asking about why the pool had different block, it made me curious and so I checked too. Hmm I see , this is the correct block count: 8998 , are you having any issues now? |
